So far have had a great experience with CubeSmart. Easy to access my unit, reasonable rates, and climate control is nice. Climate control is a bit warmer in the summer than one might expect, but as long as the temperature is a good deal better than outside and the air dry I think it will be just fine keeping my stuff safe. Teresa was very friendly and a big help getting everything set up for us.

Place seems pretty great if you ignore a few of the blemishes like a leaking ceiling, but the near constant rate increases are frustrating. Seems like Everytime I turn around there's another rate jack up. And it's never little it's always 1/4 - 1/5 of the price being added on. In a little over a year my rate has almost doubled. One more increase and that'll be achieved and PASSED.

Went in on 30 Oct and spoke to Allison on South Parkway in Huntsville, AL. reserved a unit for my daughter. She wouldn't let me pay in advance, so needed to go back in for a start date of 01 Nov. On 31 Oct I got a call from cube smart from a woman asking me if I knee if the guy's wanted the unit. Guy's? I told her this is for my daughter. She said she thiught it was for a business. No. 01 Nov comes and I decide I will go online to pay instead. Had difficulty, after creating an account, to log in with the site telling me I was inserting incorrect information, which was not the case. Phoned Allison to my plight and she gave me a phone number to call for help. I did so and had to leave a message. Approximately an hour later I got a call from cube smart from a woman saying she was going to help me with the website problem...it was Allison. When I told her I'd already spoken to her and she directed me elsewhere we were both perplexed. She told me to give her my credit card number, so I did. Yay, because I needed this taken care of, so done? Apparently not, because I got another phone call from her the next day asking me if I wanted the cube and if so, I needed to make a payment. I told her I thought I had because why else did I giver her the credit card number. She said to help me with the online account. News to me because I CAN'T LOG IN. She asked me if i could just come in, but i couldn't because I wasn't well and she asked me to send someone else in. I got flustered and hung up. Called the toll free number to get some help and during the process found that I could make the payment over the phone, so I tried that. It didn't recognize the account number Allison had given me, so I spoke to someone else. After conversation he told me a district manager would call me the next day. I never got that call. This process, all prior to getting the cube, was ridiculous. I finally sent my boyfriend in on 08 Nov to make a payment because I need that space. If there were other options Southside, however, I would have jumped on it. The phone menu starts by saying Cube Smart got the best in business and customer service award. I'd certainly like to know who was on the other end for votes on that one.

I had an unsatisfactory experience at this storage facility. There were a significant number of bugs in my storage unit, which was concerning. Additionally, I faced an unexpected overcharge for the UHaul due to a misunderstanding. I followed the instructions given to me to drop the keys in the drop box, only to later discover I was charged an extra $50 for another day. It would have been helpful if the staff had taken 10 steps outside to see the returned truck before applying the additional charge. Moreover, the lack of surveillance for their UHauls means there's no way to verify returns, which can be problematic for customers.

Do not use these people, do not give them your credit card to rent a U-Haul I take the paper in when I take the U-Haul back I asked if they want to come out and check the gas and everything that I put back in it they're too lazy to get up off their butts and come out and do it they tell me everything is fine and charged me $50 more on my credit card so to go 20 miles cost me they are unreal over.

Since becoming CubeSmart, the storage facility went down significantly in terms of quality, safety, and responsiveness. I used it to store wine in a temperature and humidity controlled unit, which required one to walk through a hallway in the main storage unit area. Upon entering the main area, with the new ownership and change in systems, the motion sensors stopped working, so one needed a flashlight to reach the wine area, which had an additional numeric entry code panel. The distance from the wine area entry code panel to the wine area secure door was about 12 to 15 feet. However, with the new ownership and change in systems, it was impossible to reach the door to open it (one had only a second or two between code entry and the door relocking). I reported these issues twice, which were recognized as valid, with no solution. The response was to go further into the main area of units (in the dark!) and enter the “secure” wine area using a back door which was always unlocked! When finally entering the wine area, the HVAC units were leaking which created at a minimum a safety hazard, assuming one’s wine was not underneath the leak. What a mess! The wine storage area was being discontinued, so we were forced to go elsewhere. I lost a month's fee as a result.

I wanted to take a minute to update this review. After we had our Catalytic Converter cut off our van the District manager of Cubesmart tried hard to make it right. Refunded part of our parking spot fees and put us in covered gated parking for the same price for 2 months. We stayed and have been very happy with how things have worked out. Old Review: I have rented a parking spot for about 1 year. Recently my Catalytic converter was cut from my van I store and the spare tire stolen from my other van i use for supplies. I did file a a police report.

since new management takeover, facility has continued to slip in maintaining their grounds. I have stored my boat here for several years and spoke with the local management about the below issues without resolution so i was forced to relocate. security gate has been inoperative for almost a year.... water leak over my boat causing damage (carpet and cover mold)... facility pressure washer stored along with old wood in my space. overall trashy appearance in outside storage area..... Lack of care.... only reason i'm rating a 3 is because nothing was missing from my boat

It was okay until we saw they charged us an extra $36 for not putting in the $10 worth of gas for using the truck before returning it. If you don't put in the $10 worth of gas to put the marker back where it was, they will charge you again for they themselves having to gas it up. Again, a $10 trip to the gas station could have saved us $36 extra bucks for a rental. And it is in contract they can do this and there's nothing anyone can do to change it. Beware and don't be lazy.

Felt like my business did not matter to them. Called them and I got hung up on. So I called back and it was there main office when then told me they would send a email out to the branch manager and shed give me a call shortly... hr and a half later still no call so I called back spoke to a different person who told me the same thing... flash forward from 1pm to now 4:30 still no call back so I was not able to reserve my Uhaul. I finally decide to go into the store on my way to work. When I walk in they greet me. Once I tell them what happened they decide to tell me since it’s the first of the month and people are paying there storage fee they get busy so they push uhual rentals to the side. That may be ok in there eyes but me moving could not get put to the side. Point being I felt highly disrespected not to mention when I was there both the man and female were highly rude. I would not recommend this business for any use.
