They start you out on a good price, then they start jacking up the price. I used them years ago before I moved out of state. We moved back to Phx & noticed this time around they jacking up prices every 6 months or so. Now I have to find a cheaper place to store my stuff. Hopefully, the prices stay the same for a while.

My daughter and I went out looking for a storage unit for me. I had a list of places to go. we started with CubeSmart and the young man that was there was an assistant manager. He was nice and friendly and really new how to help me. He took us around on his little cart and showed me a cube and the price was so right on it was unbelievable. I didn't have to go anywhere else to look. I rented a unit from CubeSmart and we have the rest of our afternoon to do whatever. I say check them out. the location's great the one that we were at was clean and nice. The manager was great.

Second time around renting from this company. They are professional and the facility is kept up well IMHO. Plus there is a center section that is about maybe 6 to 10 feet higher than the outside ring and it's fun to go up the ramp to go to my storage and pretty near as fun going down the other side. My only complaint would be that some of the customers make the wheels come off of the push carts basically making it more difficult for the rest of us....way to stay classy Phoenix!! I wish there was a way to somehow disallow cars from tailgating when entering or exiting the place, like a rotating spike strip, the kind that once you go over it it sticks up for the next car...if they want to get out bad enough to ruin all of there tires doing it, I say go for it. It's still 5 stars in dealing with them.

Great facility. 19% price increase after 5 months. When I called to negotiate the increase I was told I could pay it or move out. I found another facility that was twice as large at $10 less per month. Guaranteed for 12 months. Customer service is definitely not a forte.

Unfortunately, beyond the convenience of location and ease of unit access, this facility does not impress. I’ve been paying for a temperature controlled storage unit where the AC has been broken for over 2 months in the peak of summer; still not remedied after several contacts with management. The door to the “A” building has also been broken since I began renting and does not close, likely adding to the issue.

I have never used this type of service and they were very informative in helping me select a unit that meets my needs. Living in Arizona, it’s nice to know that my things will be kept in a secure air-conditioned facility. I’ve had it less than a week, so we’ll see how it goes, but so far, so good. Peoria’s facility has a security gate, units with or without climate control, and outside drive-up access. I did check other storage centers and CubeSmart are more affordable. Tati, front desk, is funny, knowledgeable and helpful. She’ll give you more information than what you would ask.

Unresponsive. You’ll be on your own. Just send in your money but don’t expect any assistance, communication or followup. Constant voicemails during business hours that they are “ on the premises and unable to take your call”, and messages will not be returned. Corporate office took one month to respond. ( so the problem is not just at the local level in Peoria, AZ) After several years I fired them and took our business elsewhere. ( had a company vehicle based in their inside storage unit for several years) Managers, staff, the whole company culture is non responsive. Not sure how they are still open to be honest but would not use this company again to store anything of value or anything I needed access too

The storage facility is excellent, clean and well cared for. We had stored our things for 8 years and when we opened the locker it was as if they had just been placed in the locker a few weeks previously. Amazing clean - almost no dust even after all this time. Facilities were secure. Staff were professional and very helpful, Records were well kept, never any billing errors or issues. Good communication when any changes were made. Facility was available and readily accessible with our vehicle. Even the yard and offices were clean and well presented. Would highly recommend this facility!

Everything was great at the 83rd avenue and thunderbird location except for the phone demeanor from Amber was always unpleasant every time I called. Also, I didn't like the sudden rent increase without any prior notice and the price went up almost by $100. Due to employment changes I was no longer able to afford the current rent so therefore I downsized and moved to a cheaper facility.

The person working the phone calls was unprofessional and extremely poor customer service. She went out of her way to call me regarding my reservation and then hung up on me mid conversation then tried to call me back and admitted she hung up intentionally. Been there a year to the month, always pay my bill early. This month the bill slipped my mind and I was a week late and when I show up there’s a lock on my unit. Fine, I get that, but no call? No email? Every time I’ve been inside the office all anyone is doing is sitting around, seems like they have the time. Yes, it’s my responsibility to pay on time, but a week after a year’s worth of on-time payments? When I went in to pay my bill (I normally do it online) I had to wait because the office wasn’t staffed at the time the office was supposed to open. So after I pay, which the young girl helping me, and I use that term very loosely, she proceeds to help another customer who came in about 5 minutes after me. I asked her if she could take me to open my unit because I was in a time crunch, and she told me well, he’s already here. He had to tell her that he could wait. I chose this facility because of the location and the temperature controlled climate. But even though it is going to be a pain to move everything, I think it’s time to go look for another storage facility that actually wants to be helpful and treat paying customers like they’re old news right after they pay their bill. Traveled the world in the army, I’ve had tons of storage units, and CubeSmart, you’re not anywhere close to the top of that list as of today. UPDATE: I emailed them within an hour of getting their reply and still haven’t heard back in over a month. Definitely going to be looking for a new storage facility. This is horrible service, especially for $160/month.

Talked into a larger unit than I needed or wanted, told first month free and then could transfer to a smaller unit if wanted, so said ok, but when went to go transfer to a smaller unit... no one was ever in the office! I went DAILY at different times of the day, and NO ONE. Then called 800 number and told I can't switch over phone, HAVE to talk to location, again NO ONE WAS EVER THERE. So after a week of attempting on a DAILY basis with no one in sight, I found a new place and started moving my stuff over, then I was locked out so couldn't get the rest, so on my day off work I went early in the morning 9 a.m. for a supposed 9:30 a.m. opening time sat there for 3 hours till someone finally did show up! She said she goes back n forth between 2 stores is why she's never there, half hour at one then drives to the other for a half hour (how far is this drive for me to wait 3 hours!) and demanded $66 to get my stuff out. Only reason it was still there is because no one was ever in the office!!! I refuse to pay the $66 for 5 days when I should have been allowed to just go into the unit size that I wanted in the first place and wouldn't have had to waste my time and gas and money to move to another company because of CubeSmarts incompetence!

The facility itself is clean but the pricing was a bait and switch. I was told one thing for pricing when I booked the storage room for a disabled veteran by calling their toll free number but they would not honour the pricing even though I have a confirmation number to boot. I am never impressed when companies don't honour their own quotes and now won't recommend them to anyone at this point. Unprofessional and unethical. We will see if they care about my truthful review or not.

Close proximity to my daughter's college, GCU, but in a much safer area than campus. Love the security and the indoor, air controlled unit. Easy in and out for my daughter. DO NOT RENT HERE. Your locker will get “broken into” with no damage done, yet your most valuable items will be stolen. Office staff is less than helpful. Camera’s will be useless as far as being able to “see anything” although it’s a brand new facility. My intuition has never fooled me and something is NOT RIGHT about this place. Customer beware.

They never have their AC is running inside so it's always hot inside there there's no lights for the inside of your storage so if you have a big 10 x 15 storage inside it's always dark and my store got robbed about a month ago and they couldn't do nothing about it they lock the gates at 10 but they still have the walking gate open all night long so the robbers can come in still with thee what they want and walk right out of there yeah the place sucks so does management

Marlene rios This associate from peoria was nothing more then useless since we got to the storage unit. I live in California, I drove 5 hours to get to this location to help a friend clear out a storage unit. We arrived at 10:30 am with a video of the current owner of the unit stating is was ok for her to open and take everything out of the unit since she has been paying for the unit for 6 months, when we showed her the video she said is was not valid and said that either the person that owns the unit or someone thats is under the units name would have to come down to let us in. We went out and found the second person that the unit was under and when we returned she said that would not work that we would need power of attorney to get acces tobthe unit. So we drove around town found a mobile notary after about 2 hours of waiting got the power of attorney and drove back to the storage unit. Once we got there she was surprised that we were able to get the power of attorney. But once again she told us that she couldn't give us access to the unit. After she refused to give us access, she didn't give us a choice but to call the police. She called someone who wasn't a manager and while on the phone she was smirking and smiling at us almost laughing at us. When we told her how much driving we had done and wasted our whole day she had the audacity to say we were wasting her time cause she should of been closing already and get on with her day, when all she has to do is no more then a 30 minute drive home while we have a 6 hour drive home. We also called the district manager and we get nothing but voice mail and no call backs.

They open at 9:30, but when we got there at 10:00 the open sign was lit, but no one around. There was a sign on the door when will they be back but it said 9:30. After waiting 20 minutes I finally called and left a message. Both showed up after getting off a golf cart in a couple minutes. Please update sign next time. Maybe not good idea to both leaving together at same time. The girl helping me was not friendly but was very knowledgeable.

We have had a unit at the Peoria / 83rd Ave Arizona The place has been broken into several times. Our AC unit, inside was broken into last Thursday. They do not care about security at all. Also someone threw a rock through their window at the office. Get insurance.

Very clean facility, friendly staff, and reasonable rates. Jamie the store manager went out of his way to help me get a unit on short notice to store my stuff durring a move. They even had a moving truck that I got to use, made the whole process of moving and storing Easy and painless. If you are in need of a place to store some items, either short term or long term, i would recommend this place.
