If I could give -5 stars I would. This specific location is absolutely disgusting! The smell smacks you in the face. The hallways are lined with rat feces. We added our own rat traps and killed two. Both times this was reported to management who made an “incident” report, never heard anything from anyone. My belongings had rat urine and feces, not one person from cubesmart could care. Absolute disgrace, specially for being a bigger storage company, you would think someone would care about their brand, guess not. Funniest part was when management had the nerve to ask “are you moving out”

My unit had rats get into it. They chewed through the insulation. They shat and pissed on all my belongings, management couldn’t care less. They are aware of the rat problem and do not care. One manager told me they had a rat problem for a long time now. So management knows there is rats and have no problem taking my money and others without informing them of the issue. I’m not the only one that had this issue. I was told I had to remove all my belongings that were now trash to cancel my unit. I was not offered any type of compensation for all my belongings. If you care at all about your belongings I would choose a different company. This is the absolute last place I would take my belongings for safekeeping.

This location is infested with rats and mice. When I got back to my storage unit after 3 months - around 60% of my belongings were completely ruined. I lost hundred of dollars worth of my belongings, most of which weren't easily replaceable. I had the insurance plan too, but when I filed for a claim I was immediately denied it, saying as it counts as "wear and tear". The insurance is a scam, and would only be worth something if the entire place for flooded. Don't use this place unless you are prepared to put all of your belongings in metal boxes where mice and rats cant chew through (bc they can with wood/plastic/vinyl). Do your self a favor and find a better storage unit. I'm deeply disappointed with how they've handled my situation.

I called several locations to get a small storage and this place was the best rate. We just moved from Chicago and just needed something small for the time being. We were greeted by a gentleman named Jon. What a breath of fresh air to deal with such a wonderful, friendly and helpful person. Jon was great to work with and talk to. He made the process very easy. The customer service given to us was out of this world. We will definitely keep using this location for future use. I truly hope we receive the same kind of customer service that Jon showed us, with other businesses in AZ!

The Manager John Walman is a complete liar. He contacted me about my dead sister's storage unit being up for auction. He told me if I paid the account up to date I or another family member could access the unit with a Death Certificate. I explained to him I live out of state and could get not get any court documents. I told him my Mom is very old, has health issues, and could not deal with the stress of getting court documents. He assured me that a Death Certificate would be work. I paid the past due amount of $802.78 two weeks before Christmas. My Mom (my Sister's Mom also whose name is on the Death Certificate....listed as the Next of Kin)went and attempted to get into the unit. At this point she was told that in additon to the Death Certificate she needed court documentation. Mr. Walman straight up lied to me to collect $802.78. This whole issue caused a major upset to our entire family. Being told we would be able to collect the sentimental items, family pictures and writings of my Sister.....only to be told we also needed court documents. Mr. Walman was very aware we only had a Death Certificate, she left no will, and we had no ability to get legal documents. If Mr. Walman represents the company Values of CubeSmart I am disgusted. Playing on a broken families emotions 2 weeks before our first Christmas without our Dear Jennifer. I called Mr. Walman and asked for a refund since he could not/did not provide the access he promised. The dude got irate on me, raised his voice and told me "That's never going to happen". He was trying to argue his point and being rude so I hung up on him. Mr. Walman you are a true Scum Bag. You lied to me. You caused my family severe emotional trauma on our first Christmas without Jennifer. All for what? So you could collect $802.78. For anyone still reading this review, I paid the storage bill for July, August, and September trying to find out what I needed to do to get access. I called every week and never got and answer so I left messages, I never got a call back. Only when I stopped paying and the auction did not bring enough money did this scum bag solicit me for money. Paying $802.78 for access would have been a great deal for closure.

There is a part in the lease agreement where they make it okay for them to charge you more. When I called they explained that in the lease sign they are able to increase your rate by 18%. Trust me they will do it. . . I would never recommend this company to anyone. Total scam.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I don't understand why they have so many good reviews. From the time I started renting, 6 month later the price was raised. They raise the price every 6 months, so much so that by the time I closed the 10X15 unit my monthly payment was at $242.76. I complained in several reviews, but they were never posted, nor responded to. DON'T be sucked in by their free month and their low prices. They will begin to raise the price within 6 month and continue without reason.

This location has rats and mice. I rented here for many years-before CubeSmart took over. They are the only management company that consistently raised rent every 6 months, started at $83 month, ended at $249 per month before moving my stuff. This location is currently offering similar 10x15 units for $169 per month, while charging a long term tenant (that never paid late) $249!!! Upon moving out, I discovered damage to my property and both rat and mice droppings throughout my stuff and unit. Management is very slow to respond to complaints and have very little power to handle most situations. Regional manager provided 1 month free rent in lieu of outrageous rent increases, which did nothing compared to the 300% increased rent. If you care for your personal belongings (being free from rodents) and/or your money- avoid this location like the plague.

Reservation went smooth for my 10x5 climate controlled indoor unit. Received 1/2 off 1st month. Rolling cart inside helps with loading & unloading your items. Nice, clean & cool inside. My only complaint is the required 30 day notice to vacate unit. Many other storage facilities offer a simple 7 or 10 day notice to vacate.

The staff was great let us physically check out a few units asked question to ensure we got the right size and not paying too much.The online reservations process was easy. Ot was a very easy process. They even have carts to help load items and bring them to your units. This is not a 24/7 facility. If you aren't outta the gates before 10pm you are locked in. The site is very secure.

When I first got my unit, I had some issues with my code working for the gate, but not for the door to get to my unit. I was very disappointed and previously left a bad review, but within a day, CubeSmart reached out to make it right. What great customer service! Renee, the property manager, is amazing. She reached out to me directly to let me know she tested my code several times on every door to make sure it would work the next time I came in. She put a credit on my account and apologized for the inconvenience. She explained to me what happened, and said all that mattered to her was for her customers to be happy. I truly believe that. A lot of places would just disregard a negative review, but they took notice and showed that they truly care about their customers. I was heard, compensated, and the issue was corrected. If you want to store your items in a safe place with a good price, and a company that cares, definitely go to CubeSmart. Thank you CibeSmart and Renee for your concern and diligence in fixing the issue.

I called CubeSmart today to let them know I will be moving my stuff out on the 14th of next month. I get billed monthly on the 5th and the customer service rep told me they do not prorate so I will be paying for 22 days that I'm not there which comes out to around $90. This is not a good way to do business! Totally unacceptable!! I will never use CubeSmart again and will tell everyone I know to steer clear!!!

Marlene rios This associate from peoria was nothing more then useless since we got to the storage unit. I live in California, I drove 5 hours to get to this location to help a friend clear out a storage unit. We arrived at 10:30 am with a video of the current owner of the unit stating is was ok for her to open and take everything out of the unit since she has been paying for the unit for 6 months, when we showed her the video she said is was not valid and said that either the person that owns the unit or someone thats is under the units name would have to come down to let us in. We went out and found the second person that the unit was under and when we returned she said that would not work that we would need power of attorney to get acces tobthe unit. So we drove around town found a mobile notary after about 2 hours of waiting got the power of attorney and drove back to the storage unit. Once we got there she was surprised that we were able to get the power of attorney. But once again she told us that she couldn't give us access to the unit. After she refused to give us access, she didn't give us a choice but to call the police. She called someone who wasn't a manager and while on the phone she was smirking and smiling at us almost laughing at us. When we told her how much driving we had done and wasted our whole day she had the audacity to say we were wasting her time cause she should of been closing already and get on with her day, when all she has to do is no more then a 30 minute drive home while we have a 6 hour drive home. We also called the district manager and we get nothing but voice mail and no call backs.

They were running some electrical which gave themselves access to my stuff reorganizing and you could tell whoever was doing it was planning a withdrawal but never got a chance. One night I was a few minutes late getting out of there and I was locked inside the property. I tried for 3.5hours to get ahold of someone to let me out . I was unsuccessful and had to walk 7 miles home at 1:30 a .m . The next week they sent a letter to me not to apologize but to raise my rent. I vacated the storage.

Chris Dugger @ the CubeSmart self storage on 8543 W Grand Ave Peoria AZ 85345, was awesome, Got us in and out faster than a drive thru McDonald’s. I have rented at several different storage companies throughout the valley, and primarily use my units for business related purposes. My experience renting at THIS location has been phenomenal! Any review on this location less than 5 stars must have been written about the previous ownership, because Cindy and Tom are two of the most friendly, helpful, and accommodating people I know! They recently installed a brand new security system too, which keeps me at ease knowing that the whole property, inside and out, is being monitored for suspicious activity. The facility itself is always clean, and I have never had any issues with regards to a bad unit or anything else for that matter! I I you are looking to rent a storage unit in the area I highly recommend you go see Cindy or Tom in the office! The prices are great, the service outstanding, and you're treated like a human!

Tom and Cindy are Amazing! Spectacular customer service and genuinely Nice people. The storage facility is extremely well kept, and their storage prices are hard to beat! The last storage facility I rented from was terrible- and I was a little skiddish about renting another storage unit- but this place is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place. 10/10

Cindy is awesome. However, I had a situation at work that was completely out of my control, where I had to pay my unit rent a month late. I was told the late fee was $50. Totally acceptable. Next I was told that a lein fee would be added after 30 days. Lein fee was absurd, an additional $300. I stay away from companies that are predatory. It's more about getting money than the customers they service.

So here it is 8:30am on a Saturday. All the movers are here that I'm paying hourly to move my Stuff into my unit and there are padlocks on the gate and I've called 5 times with no answer. Not only is this embarrassing but now I've wasted $150 not including my storage fee.

These two owners are the best since sliced bread. They help anyone they meet and have the best attitude. I am so happy I found this gem of a storage unit. Very secure, time of security cameras and the indoor bathroom is a huge plus!

Great service , under new management , and I got a great deal.. Very nice lady in the office,.. I recommend this place to everyone!!! Not to mention how well maintained the property is. Trees and bushes make a great atmosphere as well as security feature, the place was just a great feeling all the way around. I have no dought my stuff is safe there. . look no further!!

Poor customer service. They decided to close 45 minutes early on Friday. Woman actually saw me pull up in car, ran into the office and locked the door. She refused to rent a truck to me that presumably went unused.
