The location at Mohawk in Phoenix is not recommended. The garage door has been broken for the better part of a year and the app access to the gates has been non functional for two months now. The rate on the unit was increased one month after sign up which felt like bait and switch. All in all a less than stellar experience.

Started off ok. Then the rental price increases started. At first, it was just one increase per year or so but lately, it seems like there were multiple rental increases every few months. My monthly price more than doubled since I started renting.

I just needed a unit for a month. Needed it to start on the 26th. They started it on the 15th, so they could charge me for a second month before I moved out. Found out the day that I was going to use it. I found out that I was going to be charged for a second month on the 15th of next month. So I closed the unit without even using it, they did not reimburse me one red cent..didn't extend my time nothing just stole my money without using and producte of theirs at all so I canceled my unit all they siad was they can give me money back from the lock i never used. got a different one at a different place . This place is shady and I will never use them again.

The unit that I had and everything was as expected. There is a loading and unloading bay, which was nice. Overall pretty good experience. I gave 4 stars because I did end up getting locked in the facility. If you are in a pinch when moving and plan on being at your storage unit until closing time, think again. You will end up locked in the facility, have to call a customer service line which may or may not help, and may have to call the police department to come get you out. Mainly my bad, but would have been nice to know ahead of time because that really sucked in an already stressful situation with moving.

I have never dealt with somebody so rude in my life as I am the customer. I lost my keys not only do they not have an emergency number I have to schedule an appointment to get the lock off. According to the young lady there she has other things to do that they are scheduled with attitude ,what a shame great facility but the Personnel is horrible so if you're looking for a storage and you lose your key so make sure you don't lose your keys if you're going to store your things there!!

We have been using this storage place for almost a year and need to move our stuff out before we get charged again. We drove an hour and no carts or people. The bay had 3 cars, but no one around for 25 minutes. Chelsea in the office told me if we didn't get our stuff out on time we would be charged. Yet she won't let me reserve a cart and there are none to use. Why come there if no carts. Terrible service. Cubesmart does not care about your stuff. They don't have carts or anyway to move your things.

Thid was a very helpful location. The gates always worked the units are good size and the employees were extremely helpful. There were a couple times I struggled to get a hold of someone in the office but whenever they were in they made sure to help me with everything I needed. I do feel like they went beyond that and contacted me once the unit was closed to make sure I was aware of the units status etc. I was really appreciative.

Great place but they make you sign up for their insurance for the first month. Fine it’s only $12. They will also raise your rate by 10-20% in the first year which usually happens after 6 months which is not discussed.

We had such a great and pleasant experience at the cave creek location. Angel the manager was certainly thorough and very nice to talk to and very helpful. The units are clean! Nice and cold on the inside! The facility is very clean and very secure! I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone!

Rented in the North Phoenix location. Great rental rates and nice place, but they don't tell you about needing to bring proof of insurance with you in order to get the unit. They they try and up sell you their insurance at $12 per month, unless you can get your agent on the phone and get the declarations page immediately. Seems like they could/would have mentioned this when setting up the appointment. Quite a revenue driver I'm sure. I sat on the phone with State Farm until they emailed it over, what a pain. Other places pull the same stunt, not very customer friendly in my opinion. Otherwise outstanding place.

The manager at my CubeSmart, Angel, has always been so helpful and courteous. I would recommend this CubeSmart location to anyone in the Phoenix area. We have rented storage area, off and on, over the last 3 years and have never had a problem with this facility.

This review is specifically for Angel. Every time I have had to come into the office or had a question, I have always been met by Angel, I’m pretty sure he works all the time. Every time I have met him, I am greeted by the upmost smile and kind faces I have ever met, and he goes above and beyond in every instance. On Wednesday of last week, I had a flat tire on my trailer and needed it changed. Angel, the General Manager is the kindest manager with superior leadership skills and a warm demeanor. Throughout dealing with my illness, he was genuine and professionally accommodating. Angel was so very pleasant and easy to work with. Such an accommodating personality. My tour of the facilities was thorough and easy, even in the Arizona desert sun! The entire grounds were very clean inside and out! Rates are comparable as well, with spacious enough units.

Everyone that we interacted with was very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. Facility is very clean and appears secure. We are on the third floor but the elevators are large and manageable. Loading/off loading area is inside the building so weather is not an issue. Definetly recommend.

Angel was great! He explained everything to me concerning the different units and then took the time to show me each one. The facility is bright and clean. Angel did not complain about me trying to price match units and locks. If you need a unit storage place this is the place to come.

We have had a storage unit for quite some time here and it is fantastic. Whole place is super clean and I love that in the summer I can pull my truck inside to the air conditioning to unload whatever I have. We just switched to a bigger unit and the staff was very friendly and helpful as usual. Would recommend cubesmart to everyone.

The establishment itself is nice and clean and it appears to be secure as you have to type in a specialized code to enter almost every door. What turned me off about this place is all the costs were not up front. I reserved my unit online and was given one price. When I got there the day of move in I was told that I needed rental insurance and I had to buy one of their specialized locks for the unit. This isn’t explained anywhere on the website or the reservation receipt. The wrong unit was also registered to me when I got there resulting in a higher monthly. I was told this was going to get rectified, but I have a feeling I’ll need to follow up with that.

I have been a customer for 3 years now. The customer service is excellent and everyone is always friendly and ready to help. I have moved into 3 different sizes of units throughout my tenure here and my new leases are done with efficiency and ease. Angel who always helps me is one of the best people I have ever met. We have 4 large units we've rented for the past 19 months. This year alone we have had 4 price increases totalling $60+ each. The manager says pricing reflects the current market conditions and all pricing is handed down from corporate and he can do nothing to help. It's a super nice storage facility and everyone that works there is nice but as often and as much as they go up I'm very close to not be able to afford staying. *YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED*

Angel, the manager, was extremely friendly & helpful. Prior to signing any paperwork he took me around the property & showed me which spaces were available & let me picked the one that suited my needs. While I was filling out the needed documents Angel explained everything in detail. I really liked the fact that I could rent my space on a month-to-month basis as I'll only need the storage for 3-4 months. I would definitely recommend CubeSmart!

The staff were extremely courteous and thorough. I needed to be reminded several times about the security codes, gates and elevator. They were patient with me every time. During a routine walk thru, one staff member realized that I had not properly locked my unit. She immediately called, notified me, and kept an eye on my storage unit until I arrived. You realize CubeSmart is a real company not just a small outfit running a few garage units as soon as you call or walk in the door.. April as well as the rest of the staff have all the professionalism to meet your needs. Long or short term. We liked them so much I even asked April to let me know right when one of their hard to secure professional office suites becomes available. They do these too. If you have a storage need go see/call April (now at the Surprise location. However she can help you with all the other location too) for help. She will take care of you with no problems attached!

My experience at this facility was Great the staff was always friendly the facility was clean. I moved here in Nov from Illinois and found this unit that was climate controlled which is great considering how hot it will get. When I was ready to move out they were very friendly and closing out my account went smooth! If you are looking for a storage facility I would definitely recommend this one!

Facility is understaffed. I arrived at 10am on a Saturday morning only to find the doors locked while the onsite manager was working somewhere in the building. I waited 30 minutes in the parking lot for the onsite manager to open the office and rent me a unit. Very frustrating. Then I am told there is a $12 dollar/ month charge for insurance which was not previously disclosed. You cannot decline this insurance, even if your homeowners policy covers the storage unit. Other storage places (Uncle Bob's) will let you decline this insurance if you provide a copy of your homeowners policy but not at Cubesmart. And by the way, the Cubesmart brochure states that you are not required to buy insurance, but when I pointed this out, the manager said she didn't know why it said that, but that buying their insurance was mandatory. Not good.

Think twice!!! CubeSmart claims to be friendly and customer oriented. This is not the case. The staff is rude. The district manager is incompetent and doesn't even answer his phone or voicemail. The building used to be good but now it is dirty and not maintained properly. They have had 3 break-in issues in the past 2 years. Ask management, but don't expect a friendly experience.

I had a 'scheduling' issue with my online order. When I failed to received a confirmation email, I called the facility and the manager, Paul Wagner took care of it for me. He took advantage of the opportunity to explain the benefits of their facility. It all sounded great; but with any long distance reservation, you never know EXACTLY what you'll get until you get there! We then drove 7+hours in a 26' truck packed to capacity and arrived early afternoon on a Friday. Kevin Boylen was working the desk at the time. He found my reservation and toured me through the air-conditioned facility to inspect the unit. He shared pros of each respective unit and identified an 'over-flow' space in close proximity, should our items exceed one unit. The tour and associated paperwork obviously took some time to complete; and in the interim, Kevin ensured we were able to move the truck into the air-conditioned loading area while our order was being processed. The facility is everything promised and then some. It is clean and well lit. The elevators are large, in an uncongested area, and operate at a fast pace. There are abundant industrial strength carts available for free. At the time of our move in, there were 3 trucks being unloaded and CubeSmart provided sufficient equipment for all. Our move in was fast and efficient. There were clean restrooms available and cold water was repeatedly offered. Overall, an EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE.

Nice clean facility, the cleanest, unfortunately they doubled my rent for a little 5x5 from $29 to $60. When they found that my contract did not have that increase clause, they corrected all the charges and returned my rate to $30. If you are clear as what to expect with rates and how they might change, this is the "best" storage around. I highly recommended this place.
