I had a negative experience with one of the reps at the 115th North Scottsdale location. I took my dog on a walk as we always do and figured we'd grab something real quick from my storage unit. The clerk was told me that I had to get out of the facility because of my dog. Note that I have been there numerous times with my dog but she said I I had to leave. “Corporate policy,” she said. I explained to her that I have a support dog and even take my dog to nursing homes - as a volunteer, because my dog is so well-behaved. She said it didn't matter. I literally broke down in tears while explaining this to her. Most storage is outdoors. Mine was near the back entry and nobody else was there. It was a clear yet successful attempt to make someone's life just a little more difficult and I'm not sure why. This wasn’t the first time I had negative interaction with the women at this facility. This is a situation where kindness could have gone a long way as you never know what kind of battle people may be going through. There was no reason why this clerk could not have offered me a bit of grace. This is a storage facility. Not a restaurant or medical facility .Nobody was in the entire location and having my therapy dog with me should not had made a difference to her. This is maybe even against the law. If you're looking for common decency in people, this location didn't have it. I wish I would have chosen the other storage facility located basically across the street. Edit: I want to point out that CubeSmart handled this by giving me one month free. However, the next month they increased my monthly storage fee by $12/mo. People watch your bill, they didn’t give me proper notice or information. They just automatically increase rates at their whim and discretion. If they did this to me, they’ll do it to you too.

I won a storage auction unit last week on 3/15/23. The general manager Gloria opened up the unit and when she twisted the security tab, it came off very easily like it had been cut already. When she opened the door, there was one box missing, one lid to a plastic tub had been taken off the tub and the tub and the other box had been gone through. This unit had antiques and collectibles in it and was the reason I bought the unit. When I told Gloria she said she would review the camera footage and get back to me. She has not reached out to me nor has anyone at Cubesmart. Someone went through the unit and took valuable items. I have been buying storage units for quite a while and have never had something so blatantly wrong happen with this. I am pretty sure this had to be someone who works at the facility that went through and removed items. Me and my wife were very upset and will never do business again with this Cubesmart. I would like someone from upper management to reach out to me regarding the "incident report" that Gloria took and see what has been done to resolve the issue.

Mice and rats infested my storage unit. They ate thousands of dollars of recreational gear, destroyed office documents that I cannot replace, and chewed up most of my packing blankets needed for moving. Mouse feces contaminated many items. Your company was very unresponsive in reimbursing me for extensive damage. Additionally, your front office person said she would reimburse me that month's rent since it had only been charged the day before. She did not. I will never recommend your company to anyone as the facility is rat-infested and the customer service is deplorable.

I've had a storage unit here for a few months now and overall I'm happy with the service. Reason I'm giving 2 stars is for what happened to me the other night. They close at 10pm and this is posted so I am aware of this. I tried to exit right at 10pm and was denied. By the time I tried again it was 10:01pm. I was locked in. There is a button that says push for manager but nothing. No phone number or anything to contact someone who could assist me in getting out. This is absolutely unacceptable and should be changed immediately. You cannot lock people in a establishment if they are 1min or 1hr after. It is not OK at all. I had to call the police and get them to come let me out. Absolutely ridiculous.

Best storage facility ever, and I'm an expert lol. Brand new, state of the art amenities. Climate controlled or otherwise, lots of size choices, cold AC in their huge elevators (indoor units), clean restrooms (yes, restrooms!), drinking fountains, extra inside security clearance keypad. Indoor units equipped with motion lighting and ample electrical outlets throughout. Many parking space sizes for vehicles and toys too. Pedestrian exit gate is a plus. Very well lit parking lot in a great neighborhood for safety measures. Love that the gate is open daily til 10 pm. Your code is necessary to exit premises but you will be locked in if after hours. Management lives on site and is very understanding of this though. At least for the first offense... I can't speak for times thereafter. Factor in that the gate clocks are programmed two minutes. Property always immaculately clean and staff services above and beyond. Competitive prices. Indoor units require bullet/cylinder locks... any lock design for outdoor units. Email payment reminders. Can pay online 24 hrs, or in the office til 6 pm. FYI... For those who carry a homeowner's/renter's insurance policy... save yourself the additional $12/mo mandatory insur fee they add on (AZ state law). Just Email the Declarations page to avoid this charge otherwise. Same goes for truck/car rentals... your full coverage auto insur covers the required insur they try to tack onto your total rate. Only negative thing I can say... the outdoor units have no inside lighting whatsoever. Don't know what they were thinking on this inconvenience.

The price is reasonable and location is very convenient for us. However, the main reason for 10 score is Shane. He is amazing. He has gone above and beyond in customer service. We store our toy hauler here and were having some trouble backing it into the designated spot. When we voiced our concerns, he let us know he'd be on the lookout for a different spot that may prove easier to get into. When another spot opened up, he called right away to let us know and get us squared away on transferring spots.

This property is perfect for our storage needs. Shane Humphries, the general manager, does an outstanding job and is extremely professional. The property is undergoing some renovation, but Shane keeps the customers informed about the construction progress, and updates us as to upcoming issues. July 2018. Reserved the unit on line at 8:30 in the morning and completed the paperwork by noon. Manager was friendly and most helpful. We’re interested in seeing how well air conditioned the unit will be this summer but so far so good. 5 years later, rent more than doubled, A/C was marginal and the dirt , dust and dead scorpions and grasshoppers in the hallway just pushed us out the door.

Called for a price and made the decision to rent. Drove to the location viewed the unit and confirmed it would work for me. Went to the office to finish the paperwork and I was told I had to buy insurance at least the minimum with tax of $12.26 per month. Dishonest at best, there was no mention of this when I called for pricing.

My family has had a storage unit here for years and they have always been mace and helpful with anything we need. The last few times we’ve been there we’ve been helped by the manager, Juan, and he’s a great guy that always stops by to say hi and ask us if we need any help

I reserved a storage unit this morning with the intention of moving in tomorrow. I stopped by the facility to sign a lease at 9:50 am. The hours of operation on Saturday are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The manager was not onsite and the notice on the locked office door said management would be back by 10:00 am. I waited until 10:10 and nobody arrived. I returned again at 1:27 pm. Again, there was no staff and the office was locked. The notice on the door said that a manager would be back by 1:30. I waited until 1:35 and then left. I do appreciate the 10% discount offered for reserving a space online. I did also receive a message from TJ at 11:41 acknowledging the reservation and indicating I could come by anytime to sign the lease. There is a "One-time Administrative Fee" of $24.00 added to the first month's rent. If I'm expected to pay an administrative fee, then there should be someone at the facility to execute administration duties during posted office hours.

TJ Thorne, was a pleasure to work out my storage needs with. The place is very clean & very well illuminated at night. The hours are great. This makes it very easy to access the storage facility when the hours are from early morning till 10 at night seven days a week. Most other Storage facilities only have gate hours from 6 AM to 6 PM. I also found the fees to be extremely reasonable.

My furniture arrived from South Carolina in an 18 wheeled truck. The site had a huge side door that the truck could drive thru to my cube smart storage space. It made unloading easier. The manager was very accommodating.

I just wanted to shoutout this CubeSmart location for providing me with excellent customer service when I dropped in the other day for pricing. The team there is very friendly. Tricia was exceptional! She answered all of my questions and was professional and informative. We're still not sure if we need to utilize the service, but if so, we are headed straight back to the Scottsdale CubeSmart. Also, The location is spotless and seems very secure (they have constant stand security monitoring and excellent lighting when it's dark).

EXCELLENT customer service in a era in which it has seemingly disappeared. Both Trisha and TJ are as professional as they come and with actual smiles. I had a list of detailed questions and each one was answered fully and not rushed. Very clean, secure and updated facility. When one is considering storing what is valuable to them-THIS is where I recommend.

I wanted to make a post of how impressed with the help and service I have been given at cube smart especially from TJ and Tricia. I have used this facility as a permanent storage for 13 years and throughout the year I need extra space once in a while for a few months. So I happened to look at a few of the posts and came across the post of the "bait and switch". I feel so bad that people have to take advantage of the Internet to abuse people. I don't understand the beef this gentleman has but I have to say as a long time renter and someone who uses these service more regular than most that TJ and Tricia have done everything to be accommodating and even go beyond. So on behalf of those of us who know them I say Thank You for the great and continued service !! Awesome!!

Being in the retail industry it is not easy to impress me, but I do have to say TJ is one of a kind and his customer service was outstanding!!! Again...I couldn't be more pleased with the service at the Cube Smart that we store our Motor Home at for the winter months. As always...I am treated with respect and the reservation and paperwork went through quick and smoothly with the lady who handled it. She gave me a list of available spots open and I was able to select the one I wanted while she got the paperwork ready. By the time I got back to the office she had everything ready to sign, I put the Motorhome in the spot selected and was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. It was a 5 star experience, and this has become the norm with TJ and his team.

I moved here because it was near where I lived, and was less expensive than another facility. I could get a larger unit for a little bit less. If they begin to raise my rent though, I'm leaving. I'm tired of that nonsense, especially many of these places won't even pro-rate your rent based on when you sign up and when you leave. So far, I'm okay with the place. I recommend using Donovan Nursery nearby to get a Uhaul truck if you need one. Forget Penske. I am happy so far. It appears the place is kept clean and is secure. TJ is a friendly guy. If I get the light by my unit back on, and replacement weather stripping on my unit that was requested, I will be back to give 5 stars for them.

Moving is stressful. I needed a place to store my household goods for a few months while I finished an assignment elsewhere and found a home in the Phoenix area. I was able to make a reservation on-line from the road. When I had to change my expected move in date, the representative that answered my phone not only accommodated my request, but she also found a unit that was more convenient to my move than the one I had reserved. Move in day, the office opened a little late (maybe 5 minutes). Upon opening however, Kevin was friendly, helpful, and a wealth of resources. He was able to find me an even closer storage unit, helped me with storage for my motor cycle and found me even more discounts than I was able to obtain on-line. I found the facilities themselves to be clean, well lit and a comfortable temperature. The only reason I rated a 4 instead of a 5 was because as wonderful as Kevin was, he was working all alone. The facility was hopping, and there was an unreasonable wait time for the customers in-line behind me. He did everything in his power to be as quick and efficient as possible, but the actual leasing process does take a little time. Even though the customers behind me were a little agitated at the wait (see above mention of moving being stressful), Kevin handled them with courtesy and tact. I highly recommend CubeSmart!
