I agree with everyone saying that prices have increased every 3-6 months. I only have a 5'X10' and will be at $123 per month. I too will be moving my stuff. Forget being a loyal customer who was never late, I've been renting a storage here for 6 years straight and I've continued to downsize due to price increase. Yet, every time I look online my unit is anywhere from $36-$48 per month.

Hellish rent increases - went from 70 dollars a month to 300, with no consideration, not allowed to rent a cheaper unit at public prices. When asked for any consideration, was always told by clerk, "I'll make a note for my manager," and never got any response. Numerous local and nearby facilities will offer similar services at a fraction of the price.

Storing at this location was a great experience all around. Signing up and checking in were simple, and I was able to do everything over the phone. The unit was clean and as described, and the climate control was fantastic. This was a property-cooled location, with no extra humidity to affect my things. All my items were in great shape when I pulled them out of storage to move my son back into his new dorm room. Ending my contract was simple. They did not require a 30-day notice, which was incredibly unique. The team at this location made everything simple and easy for us. I highly recommend this location!

I used to be a customer here and it was the best experience I have ever had for a storage facility. it was very clean the temperature was kept perfect. this is back in 2018 but back then if you had an LLC you could get 24hr access for an additional fee. In my business I needed that access it was perfect fit. I am now needing another storage facility and this is the only place I've called so they won't me over for repeat business even years later. I also can't count how many of my friends I have referred to this place that have also shared my opinion and was very happy I recommended this place to them as well.

This place is a ripoff! I had a good experience previously renting at a CubeSmart but after my experience here I will NEVER rent from CubeSmart again! No one is ever in the office. Every time I go to pay my bill there is a sign on the door saying "Will be back at" and a clock. Routinely I have to make 3-4 trips before I find anyone in the office. Forget paying online: they want you to pay a ridiculous processing fee just to pay your bill. Now let's discuss their rates. In the two years I was there my rent increased every 3 - 6 months to the point where they now want me to pay over twice the going rate anywhere else! Needless to say I found a different company to rent from and have moved out. Look elsewhere! Do not rent here!!!

Just notice that employees who managing this location is actually on 810 S McClintock Dr. They should put more info in the front door both units so people can reach out easier. I had a very unpleasant experience with cube smart at 810s McLintock in Tempe from the start. As advertised the unit was a great price and you can fill out all the information without having to go to the office. The problem with that is they don't let you know of all the other fees that occur and show no price breakdown either. I had to call the 800 # ( no one at this location answers the calls) to figure out why the price was so so much higher at the time to pay. After I paid the total I was given all my info to get into unit. This is where the problems really started. One on the property I head to the building to find my code doesn't work. After an hour of waiting and two calls to the 800# I had to load ally things back up. I wish that was it but another renter in the same location as my unit had opened the door to get in I was able to at least see where my unit was to find out the gentleman that let me in was living in his unit. This cube smart looks like a really great facility but looks are deceiving. I will not spend my money here and have canceled my rent with this location.

For contacts I was a Storage West client from 2021 to 2022, until they were acquired by Cube Storage. I moved to this location and grab two units because it was closer to where I live and better rates. (Tip to new people that your contracts are tied to location not to the company so you can move around and get better rates at other locations). Until I got my unit with Storage West I'd never worked with a storage company before so I didn't really understand what service meant. I was helped by Orlander Petit, who was helping with this location (normally works a location in Phoenix). Ask him about his hot wings! He was incredibly helpful, informational and nice. We asked him a lot of questions. He gave us a tour of the facilities and our options, and helped me find 2 units that were indoors and climate controlled. Cube is miles better than Storage West. Easy to get signed up, easy to close down units. People are responsive, care and support is easy to get. Their hours are also great whether I'm moving things in the morning or late at night. I cannot recommend them enough and Orlander. Significantly nicer than the actual location manager Jenny. I came back today to close up one of my lockers, and lo and behold Orlander was there and extremely helpful again. Highly recommend the location, things are maintained well, temps stay at 80F, so good if you've got things that can be warped by temperature.

The facility is nice, but the price is a rip-off. They have also doubled the price on me over the course of just 4 years. I can understand a small increase occasionally, but this is ridiculous. Just got a 27% price increase right now during the pandemic when so many people are hurting for money. When I was moving from one apartment to a different apartment that would have roommates, I found that I needed to store some of my belongings. After looking around the area, I found this CubeSmart location to be the most convenient to where my new apartment was located. Also, this location had internal storage units, and most importantly for me and what I was storing, they had temperature controlled units. After doing all of the online research to find an ideal location, I went to visit the location to see what it was like. All of the units that I was shown were very clean, and secure. They had on site management, the building needed a key code to enter, and used multiple video cameras along with a coded gate. So it was all very secure. I looked at a couple of different possible units and settled on one that worked well for my needs. After picking out one that I liked the person there pointed out a special rate that was available at the time, and went over different insurance options. All in all price wise it came out a little less than what I was expecting after looking online at different rates. Fast forward about a year, roommate moved out, and my thus my stuff would move in with me. I went in to the office to let them know that I was moving my stuff out, they asked the usual questions, which unit, reason for moving, etc.. I cleared everything out that day, and was told that I was all set, they did not require any notice prior to my move out, and the manager told me that I would not be billed any longer (I opted in for automated billing). It was a very smooth process.

I originally posted a review that wasn't very good for cubesmart. I thought that they were avoiding me and were gonna steal my items that I so carelessly left in a rental truck. I am changing that from 1 to 5 stars because of Elizabeth. Elizabeth is the only person that cares to help me. She expressed concern, understanding and lots of patience throughout the process (I wasn't the easiest person to deal with at the time). She did something she didn't have to do and boxed my items to be ready for FedEx pickup. She's the real mvp and I hope she gets the credit she deserves. Thanks Elizabeth!

Worst company (location), EVER! Refusing to allow me to pay or reregister account for days and same story every month because I live across the country. Charging me over $150 in fees most months over the exorbitant rent. Now refusing to allow me to pay at all so they can steal my belongings. Unit contains my dead father and mother (who is in Hospice) ‘s belongings. I’m heartbroken and disgusted. I just want to pay to store the items until I can fly out there next month.

This is our second around renting with Jennifer and CubeSmart. As usual, Jennifer was GREAT! We came in the next morning after a long day of traveling the day before. She welcomed us with a great smile, a hug and a bottled water. We were there to move our daughter's things into storage for the summer as our daughter goes to ASU. Renting at CubeSmart has now become a tradition. We look forward to seeing Jennifer in August and catching up with her like old friends.

After Hurricane Harvey forced us from our home in Houston, my wife, daughter, and I moved out to Tempe to live with family. I had 8 years of stuff from my home that needed a temporary home. The employees at Cubesmart 790 were always very kind and professional and the facility is very clean and had plenty of room for me to drive a 16' truck through it. Moving is never easy but I never had to worry about my stuff while it was at cubesmart. Thank you to all the great people at 790!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Set up auto-pay, they don't initiate. They lock your locker without invoicing, and even though you are paid in full they keep their lock on your locker and hold your possessions hostage without any explanation. Steer clear.

Rented a moving van. Great service but take a picture of your mileage at drop-off if it's after hours. I was initially charged for 125 miles for a move that was 4.5 miles away, with 2 trips less than 30 miles. I caught the error showed the picture of miles and they made the adjustment.

Very disappointed with this storage facility! 1. They promised us floor level for a 10x15 air conditioned unit, but when we got there we could not use it because the door was only 27 inches wide . 2. They said we could use our own lock, but when we got there, the store manager charged us $15.00 to use their lock and stated we have no other alternative, but to use their lock. 3. They said it was air conditioned and for the last two weeks, my wife and I have been sweating each time at the unit. Manger stated they keep it at 80, but would check on it and would call my wife when she found out anything. My wife never got a call back. Don't waste your time at this place!

This place is one of the newest and nicest facilities in the Tempe area. Not only was the facility clean and secure, but the employees were extremely polite and friendly. Was very easy to get my stuff moved in and they even have a 10ft truck I was able to use for 4 hours! Was extremely helpful since I don't own a truck myself! I definitely would recommend this Cubesmart!

UPDATE: Today I went into my storage unit and was confronted and accused of the using spray paint around the storage unit by the site manager (she had a man with her who had a clipboard, likely a superior, no idea). She kept saying she had had a conversation with me a week ago about some paint that got onto one of the corners or wall. She also kept saying this over and over. NOT ONCE I ever spoken to this woman outside of in the office ONCE at the beginning of December when she decided to make me pay for Decembers rent (that I had previously been told was free (see below complaint) WOW! Nothing like being a called a liar and accused of something I never did. I don't even own one can of spray paint why in the world would I, let alone use it in a storage unit. See, I have severe asthma, so besides the common sense factor of why would someone use black spray paint in a storage unit, it would be physically impossible for me to do so. And what pray tell would I have spray painted? I think she believed I used it on a gas grill.....NOw maybe she has never owned a gas grill, but YOU DO NOT EVERY USE CHEMICALS LIKE SPRAY PAINT ON THEM OR NEAR THEM!!!!!!!!! Her inability to be professional just rose to a whole new level. I left a message and told as such. If you have an issue with a customer AND YOU HAVE PROOF of an infraction you should speak to them in the office or even better contact them through writing. NOT confront them in person out of the blue. (NOw let's play a bit of logic, IF she had actually had said such conversation with me prior today as she claimed would she not have tried to reach resolution then and there. Maybe a follow up call or email? hmmmm... nothing after a conversation she claimed she had a week ago. Now this brings me to what place would leave black spray paint up on their corner/walls for a week and not fix it? I am guessing she had no idea when it happened and no clue who did it, and was grasping at straws. That is not my problem as I did nothing to the wall or corner, nor have I ever had paint of any port in the storage unit area. As far as I understand flammables are not to be stored in them. .......I will be taking this up with corporate. I wasn't going to but now I am disgusted. .............Previous encounter : LIED about specials, Later told me something completely different. I had needed to move things into a smaller unit as we were moving our household into an apartment finally. I went it and asked how much the cost would be and mentioned I had seen some of there current advertised prices. I was told I could either open a new account and get the specials, or they could keep my same info and just transfer me to a smaller unit and still give me the discount. So they proceeded to transfer me to a smaller unit. I asked specifically if I owed anything for the month of December and I was told NO, not until January. I thanked them and was so relieved. A week later I get an email and call that I have not paid them for the month of December. I said there must be an error, since I was told I owed nothing for Dec. When I spoke with the Manager (Jennifer) she basically said too bad. She was not going to honor the arrangement her employees made. So I am being held responsible for being given false information. I am beyond pissed off. I should not be penalized for the actions of employees who did not do their job correctly. I specifically asked if I would owe anything for the whole month of December and was told, NO. Everything else about the place is nice, and clean, but I warn people to video every interaction with the employees in case they mess up. You will be held responsible and the management does not care. Way to screw people right before Christmas, especially someone on disability with kids.

I have stored furniture and other things that I have gathered during my time in college here for two summers now. The staff is consistently friendly. The whole process from reserving the unit to storing my stuff to moving out is seamless. It is very easy and secure to get into the storage area and the buildings with your unique gate code, and the climate controlled buildings keep everything completely cool in the blistering Arizona heat. I would highly recommend this location, I have never been anything but impressed.

I've seen a fair number of storage facilities and this one is among the best! Not only was the facility clean and secure, but management was extremely polite and efficient. I entered the office and got all set up with a new unit in the span of maybe 20 minutes at the most. All the gates and doors were functioning flawlessly as was the cool AC for the units. The facility itself was easy to get into (going either way down McClintock Dr) I definitely recommend this Cubesmart!

It was an okay experience. I feel as if their 'first month free' deal is a bit misleading, though. My cube was $70/mo, and after all of the added fees, my first month came out to $60. Which, in my eyes, kind of defeats the purpose of said deal. Just charge for the first month and let people set the correct expectations.

Right from the start making a reservation on line the manager of the location I was going to be using, called me with in ten minutes. To go over it. Jennifer asked all the questions, and informed me of all the costs to move in. The morrnig of moving in Jennifer went over every thing about the facility. She also informed me about setting up my online account. She also told me about the discounts with renting trucks from them. It was the best experience I have ever had renting a storage unit. I called around, checking prices at storage facilities in my area. CubeSmart was the cheapest, PLUS it is climate controlled. One place I checked on was $20/mo. more and not climate controlled. Jennifer, my sales rep, was nice and helpful. The facility is very clean and secure.

Do not use this facility if Manager David Snedeker still works there. He gave me a terrible customer service experience, through dishonesty and gaslighting. While setting up for a major move from Oregon to Arizona (smaller apartment in AZ), I found their facility by searching online and made a reservation with my e-mail and phone number on their website. I received a phone call a couple hours after making the reservation, and was told that sign-in only takes about 10-15 minutes. I repeatedly asked if I needed to do anything else before arriving at their facility in AZ, since this was my first time using self-storage. He said no and assured me that the process was simple and would go smoothly once I arrived; he said the online sign-up and phone call was all that was needed. After four 14-hour days of packing, cleaning, driving, and more unpacking and cleaning, I went into their office to get the rental agreement signed. It was only then that Manager David Snedeker informed me that I needed to purchase a disk lock and also set up renter's insurance (something the person on the phone never mentioned). This left me standing in their office for an hour, signing up for expensive renter's insurance -- meanwhile, precious time was ticking away on my truck rental. I told Manager Snedeker that the person who does these phone calls needs to inform renters of these extra costs and extra time requirements, since it would have been MUCH easier for me to get the renter's insurance ahead of time rather than wasting it in their office. He then proceeded to tell me that the requirement for renter's insurance was "on their website in big letters right above the 'accept' button," insisting that there was no reason for me to not have known about this requirement before arriving. He then proceeded to print out the screen from the website and highlight the renter's insurance requirement, which was actually contained in a sidebar box where ads are normally kept. I told him adspace is not where important notices should be written, and that 10- or 12-point font does not count as 'big letters.' He continued to insist that I had only myself to blame for this one-hour delay and extra costs. I left their facility in tears. Later that night, I checked my phone records and discovered that the phone call where the man had assured me that I didn't need to do anything else to prepare for my rental had called me from their local facility -- 810 S McClintock. There is only one man who works there: Manager Snedeker. HE was the one who had repeatedly told me the process was simple, and he still tried to tell me it was my fault I didn't know about the insurance! I went there the first thing the following day and asked for a full refund. General Manager Sara Krupa was there that day, and she was very polite and cooperative and arranged for the full refund. I went just half a block south to use Storage West and received full disclosure up-front, great customer service, and the same size storage room in a climate-controlled facility for $10/mo. less than Cubesmart.
