The first month free was a great incentive. Rate for a 10×10 unit was fair. I only needed the unit for less than 2 months but the process to set up online was very easy. Getting to keep the lock and keys was a pleasant surprise. Jesse, the employee at 1450 S McClintock Dr, Tempe, AZ, was friendly and made the move-out process so quick and easy. My unit was clean, I had no issues getting 24/7 access, and the premises seem secure.

A storage is a storage but just know there is no electricity or dumpsters available for customers. It’s just a room to store your stuff and it’s pricey. Price increased $25 and I hadn’t been there a year yet.

*Update- It has been only 4 months of renting at this place and they've already decided to send a rate increase notice. Just in time for the holidays. Not a small increase either, they want me to pay an extra $35. Pretty absurd considering the only reason I decided on this place is location. There are 2 other storage facilities a tiny bit further that are much cheaper. Life Storage on Broadway and Rural and Extra space Storage on university. Don't rent here!!!!! The customer service, attention & help I got when I first paid was spectacular. The lady said she was new but she was still very knowledgeable, got everything done in a timely manner, & if she didn't know, she found out quickly. Super sweet too!! The reason for a star missing is when I opened my unit, there was a huge dent in the back wall. It doesn't bother me though so I wouldn't need to switch units.

I've had a unit here for 5 years. In that time the price has gone up 230%. There have been a number of other increased costs since CubeSmart purchased it. The "convenience fee" to make a payment went from $2 to $8. They stopped sending late reminders, and I just found out the late fee increased from $15 to 20% + tax ($80 in my case). There is no information available on what the late fee is, just that it's "posted in the office". I live hours away so that's quite inconvenient if it's the only way to know. When you call, you're routed to a national call center, which can be good since it's available for more hours than the local office staff was available. Since I've only had to call once in 5 years, I don't think all the additional costs are worth that one convenience.

I needed to find a storage unit QUICK on a Sunday morning. I had little hope of success, but noticed CubeSmart had a virtual reservation capability. I called the 800 number to reserve my space - I got to choose the floor, size, climate control etc, picked my unit and got the info via email in a matter of seconds, signed the contract via docusign, and a gate code to get into the facility. It was so simple, great price, clean unit (that had a temporary combination lock on it for precisely this purpose - I was given the combo), exactly as described. Monday morning the on-site manager called to check that my virtual checkin went smoothly and if I had any questions. I am so happy with this place.

Manager extremely rude! Customer service quoted me a price for a parking spot where I could park 3 small cargo vans and made the reservation. When I went to park the vans she told me rule is 1 vehicle per spot - she doesn't care what customer service says - the rules at her place are 1 vehicle per spot. As this was an immediate need - I had no choice but to rent additional spaces at more money and she would not honor the 50% discount, but instead gave me a free 2nd month - no way will I be staying there an additional month with this type of customer service.

Management has changed two or three times in the four to five months I've had the unit. I've never even been in the office, or met face to face with staff.....but until recently! See, I as many who support and rent from Valley storage units, am homeless. And at night where I sleep, and around the valley at large. These revving muscle cars harass the homeless. About a month, maybe two..... or so ago. I went to my unit. I spotted one of the cars I'm familiar with. Then one day, I got a good look at this new employee. OMG! No mistake! So, now he thinks he's got me under screws. He's trying to put me out, so all the homeless are feeling the brunt. The place is becoming about ethnic and social superiority and bigotry. The one lady that recently left the front office was really nice. And! But, it closes at 1900hrs. unlike most that close at 2200hrs., which makes it hard for people with time limitations. The location is super convenient, near public transit. And super quiet! We'll see what the future holds.

This is one of the most trustful storage sites in the valley as it is equipped with surveillance cameras , vacuums , ventilation fans and ACs inside . More, the front desk Connie and Cynthia are really cooperative and helpful and for sure they know how to run this business .This storage gives a great deals and wayyyyyy different prices than other sites in the valley. I highly recommend this storage site for anyone with short or long terms . Gotta get a real good deal.But wait , the story is not over yet. Ready. This site offers free truck to transport your items . Yes , its free and big enough to hold full house furniture and items. ????????.

The front desk lady Kasandra is so helpful . I ve been in another facilities to store my both cars for 2 months , the least estimate i ve got is $250 each car each month. But with Kasandra , she suggests that i could park both cars in on RV spot ( 12 feet long) with price of 75 each month . Such type of people like Storage West they do know how to run their business and really knew how to attract costumers with reasonable price and Surveillance safe monitoring space. Thanks Kassandra .

This is a good place to storage you stuff and the manager is a nice person I would tell very one that needed a storage place to go here i have left storage west now and after i have left due to being misrep. on discounts i jest want very one at storage west i will not miss anyone at all the storage areas i will only miss Eric and cristy they were the nices ones out of all of them and i say this because how i was treated at the end by other storage of storages

This is the best storage facility I have ever used, the office staff are so very helpful, understanding and pleasant to work with. They listen and care. A special thanks to the office Manager who is on site, red hair and glasses. And to her boss as well. They have been so amazing and go ABOVE and BEYOND always. Clean units! Can get a bit crazy with to many people accessing their units at once. May have to wait while someone is parked in front of units. Good security with monitored gate.

Kept four people's worth of stuff in a 10x10 space over the summer as we moved out of our apartment. All our stuff fit and was kept safe over the three months. It did get hot inside, so if you got any items that can't stay in over 100, 120 F weather, look for the AC options. But I personally can't complain with this storage option!

Staff is super knowledgeable and efficient. Got a big unit at a affordable price. Took no longer than 10 minuites to walk-in and get the unit leased. Connie is very professional and answered all the questions I asked thoroughly.

I transferred here after a terrible experience at Cubesmart half a block north, and wish I had gone to Storage West first. Facility Manager Mario Gutierrez at Storage West gave me excellent customer service, and the woman I got on the phone before arriving (didn't catch her name) gave me up-front information about what I needed to have with me (a protection plan or renter's insurance) before I arrived. As a first-time self-storage renter moving here from another state, it was useful to know that a protection plan/insurance and a disk lock are required at most self-storage facilities. They have climate-controlled facilities that won't get above 80 or 90 Farenheit, and even took me to my storage unit with a golf cart when setting me up for the rental. I was allowed to choose my own key code. The storage unit has a swinging door, so the door doesn't take up any of the storage space (unlike Cubesmart's roll-up doors that eat inside the storage unit). They even have a free truck and handcart (free with a reservation and $100 fully-refundable deposit) at their facility, in case I needed to move anything big after my moving van rental expired. The smooth floors with no threshhold made it very easy to store my items, and the place is very clean. I would definitely recommend this facility and its staff.
