don't do it. Horrible property...poorly maintained...poorly managed...no responsiveness and constant turnover with employees that clearly don't want to be there. Gates don't work...i could go on and on. On top of all of it, my unit was robbed and working with their people was beyond frustrating. Police told me this property is robbed all the time.

Their storage units are extremely high priced Gate hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m..... if you roll up to the gate at 7:01 p.m. you are locked inside the facility. Anaheim PD cannot even let you out the gate. Site manager give you one warning and only one warning.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to this DUMP, RIDICULOUS price. Managers not fair. I've never rented from this place & when I realized they didn't have what I asked for. It's double what I wanted. I only wanted a 5x5 size she gave me a 5x10 because that is what I already had at another storage place & it was perfect size she said it was. Anyway s she didn't have what I wanted so I asked for my money & she told me she can't give me my money because rents month to month. I've never rented there. We never put a single item inside the storage unit. The furthest we got was the elevator. She basically was calling us a liar when I told her how far we got she didn't want to hear it. She very RUDE to poor people....it's all a bad idea so save yourself time, energy etc. I wouldnt renting from this place ever again...thanks for listening

From my initial phone call to actually moving my belongings into the unit, staff was amazing. The staff was friendly and embracing, and the trauma I was experiencing from having to move in 1-day was eased by the staffs treatment of me. I am in my temporary house awaiting my move to my permanent home and I can rest and be at ease because I know my valued belongings are safe at CubeSmart.

This location allowed a random person to cut my dead daughters lock and allowed them to steal most of the items we had left of her, the last things we will ever have of her. Do not trust this place. They also were 0 help on resolving the issue. Police report was made.

You will be treated differently.regardless of how good a client you are. Expect to be talked to like your stupid, or a criminal. They raise the rent of these units from $180 to $234 and they ALWAYS have a broken elevator. This is ridiculous. My stuff just about got stuck. I have a bad leg and cannot haul things up and down. They need to be more honest. I’m really sick of this.

If you are in need of some extra space, I would run, don't walk to the CubeSmart peeps because they care and they demonstrated that in how they treated me today. The decision for my departure started when my old credit card expired in January of 2023 and they couldn’t resolve it over the phone or by mail. The old owners could resolve it by form mailed to them. It was stated by the person answering the phone that you couldn’t update the credit card information over the phone or allow me to mail/email in a signed form and the update had to be completed in person. The person then directed me to an app that I could visit every month to enter my credit card information and make payment remotely. This allowed me to resolve the credit card issue each month so that I wouldn't be late. This was a temporary band-aid since I now live 350 miles away. Doesn’t make much sense to say you can’t resolve the card issue without a personal visit to the location, but you gave an option to perform a credit card transaction through an app, remotely out of state. When I tried to visit your facility to correct the card information during one afternoon, you were closed… The facility took a stance that they wouldn’t open on some days (non holidays). It was a long drive in from out of state to learn you took some days off. Comparing to the previous owner, I could resolve it by fax or email and they were open 7 days a week. Luckily, I’ve never been late during my 26 years at that unit. I became more dissatisfied when this location raised the rent on my tiny unit by more than 100 dollars in less than a calendar year. Majority of the increase was right after CubeSmart bought the facility from Storage West. The overall facility conditions went from a great location during my original move in date during 1998, to a complete broken down dump at my recent departure in 2024. Both elevators were broken during my recent visit and the office didn’t know when the parts would be in. It’s an ADA lawsuit ready to happen, or at bare minimal, a complaint to the California State ADA Compliance office. The rent was extortion for the condition of the faculty. The facility doors at each building entrance went from a double wide door during Storage West's ownership to a sealed up one half door and a single door that worked. The office condition looks like you ripped up the carpet and haven’t afforded the replacement, the lighting was poor and the outside of the buildings look really run down. Overall, I went from a 230 a month for an 8 x 10, poor condition location, plus storage insurance, to a new facility charging me 121 for a state of the art 10 x 15. The new location allowed me to use my home owner’s insurance to cover the storage unit… something that your facility wouldn’t allow or didn’t offer, or your staff wasn’t trained on. So that's even more savings each month. Plus, the new facility has Bluetooth connected to my phone, so the entrance, facility doors and even the unit locks are operated from my phone when on the premises. It’s light years ahead of the Anaheim location, for half the price. The only great compliment is to the staff member cleaning the facility and in the corridors. She was very helpful with helping us sweep and gave us a trash bag from the office. Everything else would be an embarrassment to recommend.

I strongly DO NOT recommend this place.they falsified the internet ad claiming 1st mo free& $85mo. I personally t/w Angie(manager from HELL) she told me it was cheap because the lift didn't work I had to carry everything upstairs. I looked at the ad it said there was a lift. I didn't read the contract and I signed it. I got the bill of $181. My money got stolen from my car. Then my coin & jewelry collection got stolen from the lift that got stuck in between floors. Now I'm loosing my storage. I asked if i had a 10 grace period i was told yes, yet 5 days later my gate key code was denied. I need a lawyer NOW.

WORST STORAGE UNIT FACILITY - DO NOT USE My unit was broken into not even 12 hours after moving my furniture and small personal items in it. Nothing was stolen the first time it was broken into. I come back after only a month to move my items out of the unit to discover my unit was broken into a second time. CubeSmart did not inform me of this break in, not an email or call. This time multiple items were stolen. Submitted a police report and have to go through all the insurance hassle now. The security is pathetic, little to none. I truly wished I never trusted this place to store my things. Only used the service for a month and regret it. DO NOT LEASE A UNIT HERE

This place is HORRIBLE! If you want your belongings stolen storage broken into and ransacked you would have better luck leaving your things on the sidewalk! The service here is so far below standards. They are rude! Never in the office when they are suppose to be. Our storage was broken into we weren’t even notified! They even had the audacity to tell us we had to replace the lock that was broken off our unit. Purses, shoes, all my husbands tools and a brand new schwinn tricycle 7 speed gone! Not to mention 7 other units were also broken into & there was stuff in our unit that wasn’t ours. The scum bags that did this had ample time! There was nothing unopened no stones unturned! Please don’t come here. I wouldn’t want any to go through what we are experiencing!

Overpriced, rude and obnoxious. First day since the initial move that I came to organize and stage the unit a elderly overweight Asian woman and her minion are banging on my door at 915am. My units is outside in the very front a few doors from the bathroom and clearly visible to the street. I'm attempting to organize clothing and felt it best if it was done in private. They inform me I get no chances and I will not be able to continue renting due to the fact me door was not open all the way.... Did I miss something? I didn't argue with the women..... Five hrs later I sit down for the first time and took a breather to the minion at my door tell looking me I cannot just sit in the unit..... I was signed up for almost$600 a month for a 20x10 "ripoff" but they will not get another penny... Other units has add the door cracked, I was the only one called out. Not to mention the gate hardly ever works.... Other units "cracked open" WAC

I rented a unit for nearly three years. When I cleaned out my unit I hadn’t been there since the day I moved in, and everything was untouched and in good shape. That’s all I can ask for. I’m taking away one star because the property could be cleaner. There was lots of trash lying around, which I’m sure was from lazy people moving out. Overall, though, I am happy with my experience.

I made the reservation and found that the unit was broken, when I went into the office to figure out what to do, the attendant was very helpful and apologetic for the situation. She went to work to fix it and set me up with a new unit that was in a better location for what I needed! The customer service really made this a great experience for me and I think that would make me recommend it to others (I would especially recommend the attendant that helped me out that day!)

My storage got broken into twice in less than 5 days I moved my stuff!! I noticed people walking in the place like they live there. The second time my place got broken into somebody cut my locks between the hours of 12pm-6:30pm... how is that possible when there is staff working at that time? The place really needs more security.

Don't get a unit here. The gate is broken for several weeks so you can only come in an out from 1 enterance. Also since the gate is broken you cannot get in after 7 or get in on Sundays.

Ever since they changed ownership, this storage facility has been horrendous! Maintenance is terrible, half of their elevators are broken, and there's leaks all over the buildings. They also raised their prices! DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE!

I have been trying to get ahold of the office for my unit. It used to be so much easier when it was storage of the west. Now I have to call over 25 times to ask to speak to a store manager. The phone now is pure automated messages. This is ridiculous!

They are switching ownership, it was Storage West. They have had a lot of problems, especially with payment. I had to pay more for late fees though I couldn't pay online anymore since they had "glitches" with there system.

Two of the ladies that work evenings here are extremely uptight and petty about tiny little details and although I’ll admit I have taken a while in the past they’ve followed me around and told me I have to get out after 30 minutes which sometimes just ISN’T enough.. plain and simple Today I tried to buy a lock from the front office and she wouldn’t even “allow” me to purchase one for my unit… is this what I get for paying $200 a month?

This review is long overdue. I used storage west for about 2 years. And rave about the people who work there. They saved me from a bad situation with a locksmith I had hired. Who took more than an hour to try to open my lock without success. They intervened when the locksmith was not able to open the lock and still wanted to charge me. Why I chose storage west initially was because I got a moving truck for a day for free to move my stuff in the unit. I thought that was a great and very helpful perk. If I have storage needs again, I know where I’d go.

Don’t use this company unless you want someone to steal your money for nothing. I reserved a unit online for their Irvine (kelvin ave) location that I can’t seem to leave a review for (hmm I wonder why..because I’m right) and never even moved in because my car didn’t fit. Within 30 min of signing up I canceled and wanted my pro-rated refund. Yes, I didn’t care about the 25 dollars nonrefundable service fee. Well guess what, they never refunded me anything and kept nearly 300 dollars of my money. Then after disputing it with Amex they have the balls to challenge my dispute. That’s the kind of people you’re dealing with here folks, straight up scammers.

I have been a tenant here for about 6 months I have two units one outside and one inside. Well sometime within the last week my inside unit was broken into by climbing over the Raptors and stealing all my tools that my father past on to me when he past away. I have not gotten much help they said I cant call the police because its private property and I'm having to fill out a claim form that will most likely be denied. Because as I said these items were past on to me from my father who past away. Kinda feels like an inside job because they were so nonchalant about the whole thing. Bottom line security is a big issue many times I have seen homeless people wandering in the gates. I will be moving my stuff out asap.

The GPS directions are wrong - they get you to a gate you can't open. When you turn onto Anaheim Way, go up to Cerritos and turn right, turn left right on Lewis and then right on Katella. Storage West is on the right JUST before Anaheim Way and the freeway entrance. I drove around for 15 minutes before I figured this out.

It used to be a Good place and affordable... Not Anymore, storage units are getting break into. Theres no security theres not even workers around to check units. And the insurance they make you pay its very hard to talk to and is almost imposible to get refund for your stolen items, The manager dosent really care what happens to your storage unit, and the rent got very expensive... Better find another place to store your things...But it is a Good Place for thieves to be able yo steal items no one Checks!!!!! !!!!!

I really like the storage unit itself, and the people that work there are very friendly. The only issue I have had so far is their website not working. Whats the point of having a pay online option, if I can never get the site to load, and when it does load it wont allow me to log in. If you are going to have a website have a professional web designer make it, and have it be mobile friendly. Thanks!
