Don’t rent here. Was just broken into on 01/28/25. Didn’t get an alert until 01/31/25. No apology. No cameras. All inside units were hit. The doors to the inside units don’t lock. The management said no additional cameras will be installed and the doors will not be replaced. They get robbed every couple of months. Not worth the money or risking missing your valuable items.

I thought this place would be more secured being its gated. Went to my trailer and it was broken into where all the storage compartments are. The only thing that was stolen was some tools that were in a compartment. I don’t see any cameras where it is parked. Thinking about going somewhere else for what I pay for this place. With the recent price increase it should be better.

We stored our travel trailer here and it was broken into 2 times! They wanted to charge us more to move it to another location on property and told us there was nothing they could do. They are way over priced for what you get. There are also people living in there units as you drive by they have their unit open while they’re cooking and the children playing outside. I Don’t recommend this spot for any type of storage.

I have mixed feelings with my review. Peter, the manager, I found to be great to work with, overall loved storing our RV there. Until the property started having break-ins. It provided a cover stall, protecting the RV from the elements all year round. Grounds and restrooms were clean. What follows was beyond Peter's control and I do not blame him or Cubesmart. I blame the crime and corruption we're faced to live with. The problems started when the homeless moved in, parking along the "NO PARKING AT ANYTIME" signs POSTED about every 20' all the way down the street outside the property, plus a tent 'city' on the PG&E property that is behind Cubesmart. The city didn't make them move out unless complaints were registered with the police. The street starts looking like a junk yard, much like SF. They'll stay away for a while, they then return, and it starts all over again. In 2023, we started having real problems with people breaking onto the property and into the RVs, doors, breaking locks, skylights, and windows, etc. Electronic monitoring of the illegal acts are turned over to the police. Our RV was actually stolen early on. They caught the culpurit, but nothing was done. They weren't interested in the roughly $3500 of uncashed checks, each belonging to a different person that they left in the RV upon its return to us. Peter, I wish luck and my prayers are with you.

I have been renting here since January 2024. My experience so far has been less the acceptable. The door into the inside units was broken for the first month I was here, you just opened it, no need to put your code in. The unit was not clean, I cleaned it myself, the rain gutters are awesome planter boxes, they have very nice weeds growing out of them and My boyfriend rents a parking space here and the vehicle had been broken into twice in a month and both times we notified the manager. They don’t have cameras where the problems are happening and since we are the ones who brought it to the attention of the manager that tells you how secure your items are. NOT! We no longer rent here. Unless they get cameras in the back of the property and razor wire along the bottom of the fence the problems will continue oh and there are motion alarms that are loud so again the on site- living on site manager GOOD JOB ??

Edit 2025- Cubesmart Antioch remains the best storage facility I have ever used in two states. The professionalism and communication are outstanding. The location of the facility is convenient. I have always had an indoor storage unit. This time, Cubesmart truly saved me when the condo I purchased with a veteran home loan had a water leak, followed by mold and asbestos remediation stemming from the leak. I struggled with what to do, since I had just moved into the condo, and then decided to get everything back out. Finding a place for storage that I could count on really helped me in this stressful time. Note, past review: I used this storage facility also in 2023-2024. I am very impressed by the customer service quality, cleanliness, and the facilities themselves. Thank you! - 2023- Peter expertly assisted me with figuring out what was wrong when I changed payment methods online. He communicated with me on the issue until it was successfully resolved. He works so hard to keep the facility running like a well-oiled machine. This is the best storage facility I have ever used.

The video shows their 10x8 inside storage unit that’s located on the 2nd floor in a climate controlled facility. Getting a storage unit here was super easy. I didn’t even have to leave my bed. I did everything on my phone. The longest part of the process was deciding which size unit I needed. However, when I found out they had a sizing guide right there on their website I was able to almost immediately choose the correct size unit for me. After choosing the size I was able to complete the entire rental process in less than five minutes. I received an email with everything I needed to get into my new unit. The email included my gate and temporary lock code, my unit number, all rental forms and contracts, and a very detailed description of what I needed to do next. My new lock was waiting for me inside my unit with informational pamphlets that answered any and all questions that I had. I’m positive they’ll answer any and all questions you might still have. I did all of this using my phone. I didn’t have to wait in line, go into the office, wait until someone was available, nothing like that. I was able to rent the unit on my time and not waste my time jumping through unnecessary hoops. The storage facility and units are very clean. The employees here do an amazing job keeping the units in amazing shape. The only thing that I have an issue with is that they’re only open until 7pm. Their hours are 7am-7pm everyday. I’m at work during those hours and can’t make it before 7pm. If they’d stay open until at least 9pm then I’d have no issues and I bet they’d get a lot more customers. If you don’t mind the hours that they’re open then you’ll love this location. ****update**** I had sent in an email asking for help with something regarding my insurance. I got an immediate response and everything was handled before the end of that day. Also, when I had visited my storage I was approached by an employee who confirmed everything just to make sure I was the one emailing them with the request. Also, the employee had remembered my name and who I was even though this was only my second time at the storage. That’s how much they care about their customers. They make sure to provide a professional, easy, and no hassle experience.

In 2 years our mobile home has been broken into 3 times and this past break in is by far the worst. All 3 windows were broken, the door was so damaged it is now essentially useless and 2 brand new deep cells being stolen. When we asked about any accountability their response was merely “well maybe if you came out here more often”. As if that would make any difference other than finding out it was broken into sooner. We will not be storing anything here any longer and highly recommend future customers look into someplace with higher values and standards.

We recently just closed our unit as we no longer needed one, but wanted to share what a great experience we had with CubeSmart Antioch. The managers were always so kind and helpful, the facility was convenient to access, clean and the best priced climate controlled unit we could find in our area. All storage is a little pricey but for the size unit we had and to have the peace of mind with climate control this was the best option nearby. We truly did have a wonderful experience here thanks to the staff and the units themselves. Trailer stored here had batteries stolen a couple of months ago. Recently the front pass through storage latch was pried open and stuff was missing. Talked to a guy who had a class C there who had his catalytic converter stolen and locks broken as well and he pointed out 4 other RV's nearby that also had locks damaged and obvious break ins. Some windows in RV's are broken. Your trailer will not be secure in this facility so either keep it very empty and deal with the damage or find another storage facility. Edit: I contacted the front office who indicated this was a long running problem, and that the regional office knows the fence is completely inadequate and they seem ok with the level of breaking and damage to customer RVs. I very strongly encourage anyone considering storing anything here to strongly reconsider. They’re prices are not worth the trouble unless your storing a flat bed trailer.

Rented an outdoor space for my travel trailer. It was broken into numerous times during the last two years including stealing the propane tanks and damaging the entry doors and locks (4 subjects observed on security cameras two nights ago cutting new security fence and breaking into numerous trailers and RVs-which wasn’t discovered until the morning) Just an increase in rent every six months from business. We finally decided to store it elsewhere as every time we took the trailer out we found new damage.

I arrived at around 8:30am to pick up an item I was selling, and first problem was the access gate was wide open for anyone to come in and out. It never closed the entire time I was there. Then I continued to my building. After multiple attempts, the doors would not let me access my unit. I could hear the door clicking to let me in, but they wouldn't open. Tried the other door and same thing. Called the office but there was nobody in until 9:30, and no emergency number to call for assistance. When the manager called me back, and I expressed my frustration about losing a big sale, and there being a major issue with the access doors, he simply responded with "uh huh" and "yep." He offered no reassurance that he would look into what was wrong, no apology, nothing. He just said "I can see that it granted you access so I don't see any issue with that, and you are not supposed to sell items out of your unit" ...the issue is the doors wouldn't open. And I'm picking up an item to sell to a customer waiting at my house to purchase it. I can sell anything of mine if I want. Bottom line is, if you want security, or peace of mind and stress free storage and acceptable customer service...this is NOT the place.

Two deep cycle batteries stolen from my travel trailer while in a covered storage area. Reported to the front office and while standing in the office noticed through the normal office security video cycling on a large screen that there was a camera pointed directly at the front of my travel trailer. Pointed it out to both office personnel, who stated they would review the footage. Never heard from them again. CubeSmart was happy to raise my fees and "could" not prorate my monthly fee once I vacated the space.

I walked into the main office & it was very approachable & they had their A.C on and i love that because Antioch is a hot city. & I felt great walking in seeing their tv's displayed had their Cameras footage playing. Initially, I had a great experience with this branch, however, I recently had a HORRIBLE experience due to the lack of structure, professionalism, and integrity this branch possesses. It’s SO hard to get credit for a billing discrepancy cause by them and it’s tougher to get a hold of the district manager, Natalie. The employees cannot provide her email address. Also, give the store manager, Peter, more access and clearance to newer, updated systems. Maybe with these systems he’s able to set his team up for success, provide a better experience for his customers, and understand how to read, explain, and credit a bill error.

Very easy rental and move out process. The employees I dealt with were all friendly and attentive. You can actually get in touch with a real person instead of having to do things online, although that option is available. The facility is clean and they provide nice carts to make things moving in and out of storage easy. At the time I rented the unit they had the best price around. Just moved out after a little over a year of storage. Never had a single issue the whole time.

It's a great storage easy to access and they provide you with a lock for the storage which I thought was awesome

One of the cleanest & organized storage places I’ve seen. You can choose from multiple options, like very small cubes and super big covered, locked and open air options. In my case, I also got a perfect service: we were arriving very late at night but a property manager Brit stayed for us and made it very smooth and easy. He also helped to find a few items that I lost during a moving.

Very clean and a professionally run storage facility. Peter was by himself the day I brought my RV down. He completed my reservation and even gave me a covered space to park in. I followed him down to my space, parked my rig and put it into storage mode, when I came out to lock it up, Peter was still there in his golf cart to give me a ride back up to the front. I feel it's a very clean and secure facility, I could even see my rig on his security cameras. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for storage. A++++. With Peter and Brit caring for the facility, it is immaculate!

When I drive to the CubeSmart facility at 1790 Vineyard Drive in Antioch, I insert my code to open the gate. I notice the cleanliness of the parking lot and it’s welcoming ambiance. My storage space is located in a temperature controlled facility and when I walk inside its hallways they are always maintained in pristine condition. There is a reason why this standard of excellence is prioritized. Peter Kroeger and Brit are the tour de force of this achievement. I have been to well known storage facilities outside of CubeSmart where I felt my security compromised. Peter and Brit have done a subliminal master work to secure my personal chattel and my safety by taking a no nonsense approach to being cordial, professional, and enforcing rules that were developed for the customers protection. I thank God for the blessing of Peter and Brit who are two under appreciated men who exemplify diligence in the areas of high level security, custodial engineering, property maintenance, business diplomacy, persevering patience, exceptional customer service skills, and their dependability makes this CubeSmart location peerless among it’s competition. For all of you who believe all self storage facilities are the same, a visit to CubeSmart Antioch will immediately change your mind. The entire property is clean and tidy, each the units are well designed and practical and the staff, led by Peter K., are helpful, professional, friendly and hyper-focused on customer satisfaction. We are moving from another nearby “brand name” storage facility that falls well below the standard of excellence Cube Smart provides. Definitely 5 Stars!

This place is amazing the staff is awesome the manager Peter Kroeger the tall German man goes above and beyond. His customer service is impeccable showed me the units, ie different sizes so I could see how much room I really needed. The facility is extremely Clean and has state Of the arc security. Highly recommend this place to anyone in our local area the price is unbeatable.

8/15/2022: The office is closed on Sunday, even though, signage says otherwise but I was able to cancel by emailing written notice which was processed quickly. They increased rental fee once within 1 year. I highly recommend this place! 8/11/2021: The office was closed unexpectedly when I reserved the unit for same day but honored the price the next day. It was an inconvenience and delayed my moving but I liked the facility with wide driveways and all-around nice and clean.

This place is well kept and affordable. Also, Peter is the man! He was quick and helpful with getting everything setup for me. EDIT: Buyer beware, had my storage locker broken into during my time here this past year and evidence of my locks being tampered with. If you store here, make sure you overlock your unit. This also goes for indoor storage lockers. The front office was quick to assist me but this facility needs more security cameras.

So the other day when I was thinking things couldn't get any worse I go to get gas and realized I had lost all of my cash over $500 had no idea where I lost it. A few hours later my phone rings and it's Michelle from CubeSmart storage telling me that you found my cash in the restroom I was in tears I was so happy there's not too many decent people out there but she is definitely an amazing person I was so happy I would definitely recommend this place to anybody nothing but good customer service friendly people and wonderful experience every time I'm there Peter also is amazing they go above and beyond

We needed a temporary storage so I googled public storage and CubeSmart popped up. I pulled up their website and was able to reserve a storage unit online. A little concerned because we were needing it in a couple weeks so I called to make sure it would still be available and all was okay with my online reservation. All was good! The ladies in the office confirmed my reservation and were so nice and helpful! That was super easy! When we arrived the grounds were very clean and looked very secure. The process to complete the in-person transaction took about 5 minutes... very quick! The climate controlled building was very, very clean and they also offered carts to assist in moving your items to your storage unit. We are very pleased and feel our items are secure at CubeSmart!

I needed a storage unit moving from Antioch to Oakley and I thought this place was the best middle ground. I reserved a spot online and made the mistake of picking a unit inside the hottest spot. Monica and Margaret were awesome inside. Monica helped me switch my unit to the air controlled side where in 100 degree weather made moving a breeze. Then fast forward a month I now need to switch units again because I underestimated the amount of stuff I had. Margaret helped me reserve a unit and Monica was so kind to give me enough time to move my stuff into the larger storage unit. I have had 5 star communication and friendliness from the staff and people who use CubeSmart. Worth the price for best customer service and clean units.

I had a very good experience here. Bobbie the manager is very friendly and professional. The facility was clean and spacious. There was a Plexiglas wall between client and staff and staff wore masks. We got 15% off which was nice!

Prices are decent and they have covered RV which we appreciate as our last place was a dust bowl. Even have a complimentary clean out which we appreciate.

Bobby and Monica were fantastic and fun. Somebody should give them a raise. We needed a bigger unit after halfway thru packing our unit. They laughed and helped me get into a larger unit while still carrying over my discounts. The facility is pretty new as of June 2020.

Driving by as I do for work, noticed finally the now open signs are up. Stopped in spoke to the manager Monica. I like buying storages and flipping them. She told me they don't hold live auctions here as they're online. But gave me a tour of the property. What a beautiful property! Will be back to rent definitely. Thanks for the tour!!

Visited this brand new store the other day. It is so beautiful. I met a young woman named Monica she was polite and very knowledgeable. I needed to store a car, however this site only stores recreational vehicles. If I had RV to store I'd definitely rent from her. Lots of nice amenities.
