Had a storage here for years . They raised my rent made me unconventional move to another unit and had blocked off construction constantly. Kelly was nice but this place sucks. They I always paid them not always ontime but I paid.. I was homeless and lost my job waiting on government check.. when I tried to pay told me I was 1 day too late and they sold literally everything I owned for 10 dollars.. to so.e random person they wouldn't let me talk too. I wanted to offer him 100$ for my daughter's toys and pictures. And a comic book I was writing. They are Evil!•

This place is sooo sketchy. Just one month of renting here, my dad’s unit already gotten broken into. It was broken into and was replaced with a different lock without our knowledge . Valuable property were stolen and some that they intended to steal was left behind, was almost like they were going to come back for it. We called the police and a guy name Keith barely put any effort into helping and cooperating with the police. Keith was also the one who put that different lock because he saw the lock on it my dad’s unit was missing. I believed the wisest thing he could’ve done was to inform us with such information, we couldve been alerted. I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else. Im so frustrated for my dad. We pay to rent these units and trust it to store our belongings . This is definitely an inside job!! Theres no way, a random person will have access to the premise and go to that certain unit # and steal what they knew it had in there. To me, someone was definitely watching and observing my dad going in n out of that place. ??

I rented and paid for a 5x5x8 unit. The actual size of the unit is 4x4.3x8. The manager said I am the first to complain that the units are not sized as advertised. I find it hard to believe that I am the first person to purchase a 5 foot shelf only to find out the space is 4 feet. I called customer service and asked for a district manager to resolve the issue. So far, no one has reached out. Space matters in a small storage unit. In this case, I have been shorted 12 inches on one side and 8 inches on the other side. I should have measured the space before I paid for it. Beware and measure first, because Cube Smart is dishonest. I was forced to give 1 star or the review would not post. They deserve 0.

Keith was fantastic. A great help and a good manager. He knew customers by name. The older lady accused me on loitering on multiple occasions and threatened to call the owner to evict me. I was inside of my (paid) unit organizing boxes after I moved in. I was treated like a suspect rather than a customer and spied on while on the property. I have no nice words for this person.

I have been with Cubesmart on Osgood in Fremont for years and always had good service, but recently, I took a new job in Texas and was faced with what to do with my belongings when I move and how to access storage with a truck for moving day. Stephany was able to give me all the advice that I needed and a new storage locker that was larger for all my belongings and easier for the truck to pull in and load up. She went above and beyond with her level of service. She is friendly and courteous and relieved my stress about where to put my furniture.

I had rented a storage a few years ago from cube smart. I opened it only to find that rats had been in my storage damaging many of my things. They chewed a hole thru the wall on both sides and rat droppings were every place. It is disgusting and now unsanitary. Everything covered in rat urine and droppings. The rent started at just over $200 and has gone up more than $600. It seems that you are punished for being there. I have lost many items there and what's not runed. Is covered in rat urine and rat droppings. When I told the manager about she told me to report it to my insurance company. I don't even know if that's covered. I can't say that this storage is suitable for storage of anything that you want to keep and you can expect to see rent increases thru out the time you keep your storage with out any cap on what it can end up being. I am still working on sorting out everything including what they are willing to do about my losses. I am not confident about having any help from cube smart so far. Having to deal with this as now everything is toxic and just handling this stuff is now toxic. They do not have control over the rats by any measure. I have all high end furniture in this storage that included a formal dinning room set, couches, end tables a hutch and bed as well as dinning settings and Cristal glasses. I had some twenty boxes or so most have been eaten through by rats. Even a plastic yard storage unit was chewed throu and inside covered in nesting materials that were from the contents of my storage. I filled several garbage cans full of what the rats tore up. I will update this after I find out if they will do anything more than tell me it's my problem. If you rent from here you need to find out how they will deal with this if it happens to you. There is a strong smell of rats as you walk throughout the buildings. I don't feel the more than $600 a month is worth what I have to deal with to move out of this storage loosing many of the items I have been paying to be safe all this time. You would think at best a reduced rental rate would be in order.......Not even offered !

Absolute fantastic storage facility. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a clean, safe, and convenient location for their self storage needs. Check-in was seamless (I did the digital check-in and was able to stop by after hours to get access to my unit after hours when it was seamless to me. CUSTOMER SERVICE HIGHLIGHT: I had some issues locating my key to gain access to my unit and Stephanie, the manager on site, was GREAT. She helped me at the very end of her shift when the office was closing cut my lock after verifying my identity to get access to my unit. She was cheerful and didn’t make my late-day request seem like a burden at all. I’d definitely return for future storage needs.

I'm a former roommate of one of the employees (AJ). One day a few months ago he started coming home and filling up the apartment with boxes. I asked him about them and he said he "found them at work." That struck me as odd and he just kept bringing more and more in until I finally moved out. He began acting really suspicious and I knew something wasn't right. I was looking at the revies for this place and have noticed many people reporting break ins. I think it's pretty safe to say that AJ has been breaking into people's spaces and stealing their stuff. DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE UNLESS YOU'RE FINE WITH LOSING EVERYTHING.

Lionel was so helpful. He went above and beyond when my unit was broken into. I will say this though it is a little uneasy to know after filling a police report to hear that there has been other break ins. I highly suggest a dislock because they are not easy to cut with bolt cutters. But Lionel was amazing. He trust cares about his customers and making sure they are happy and taken care of. I only gave 3 stars due to the fact that my original unit was broken into and the lock was changed to someone else’s lock so how secure is the property really.

It is a little out of the way but when you need to store a car it's hard to find someplace that has one big enough. CubeSmart did and got me in the same day. The space is just big enough. It was a little challenging to get it in due to the tight spacing between the buildings but it worked out. Half off the first month was a plus.

Updated review 2021: I now no longer store my items at this location. I went in one day and Judy no longer worked in the office. After that, everything about this place went downhill. The customer service, the cleanliness and professionalism. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, use this company. This place is not the same!! CubeSmart in Fremont is one of the nicest storage facilities there is in town. I chose this specific location for the cleanliness, safety and more importantly the staff. I do not live close by, but I made this more expensive option my choice as I found value in my dealings with the Manager, Judy. She is very professional and has to be the friendliest person I have ever met and had the pleasure to work with. I have been to other places, they are not as friendly and the facility is not kept up and clean. Judy asked me all the right questions to find me the perfect unit and allowed me to use the moving truck to move my stuff in. A great big THANK YOU to Judy for such a great experience! If only all my dealings in life were with someone like her!

We were in the middle of moving into our new home and needed some extra space. Our movers told us about CubeSmart so I decided to check them out and boy was I more than pleased! The store managers Judy and Karly were very welcoming, pleasant & knowledgeable. The facility and units are secure and clean. Karly walked me through the entire rental process and got me signed up the same day with no deposit down. They even have a free truck for new customers and Judy lives on site for extra security!! I always thought that looking for a better storage will add to stress when you move. This is based on my experience the past three years that I have move. Things have changed this year when I went to CubeSmart. When I came to their office in Fremont, first thing I notice was the good, fantastic treatment I got from the Manager, Judy Klarnet and another girl name Karly. Among all the storage facilities I encountered, they have the lowest price, very clean facility, which makes me more impress with them. Both Judy and Karly were so very nice, very helpful and friendly that they will do everything to make your move less stressful. Three or four times, I went to their storage and I felt the same treatment. I never thought that I would find a storage with employees who will treat you like a family. One thing I notice, JUDY AND KARLY WERE BORN TO HELP PEOPLE and their kindness and helpfulness was inborn and coming from their heart. Thank you so much to them. CubeSmart is very lucky to have these kind of employees.

I give one star for low price. However, if you're looking for safe, secure storage on small units, this isn't the place. The cheap, wooden doors have hinges on the outside of the door. They have cheap sensors that can easily be hacked. There is video surveillance inside the buildings.

I got my stuff there for a reasonable price. It was clean and safe. They even have a truck that you can rent for free but I did not know.

Great place for storing stuff. Sign up was easy and fast...faster than experience had led me to believe it would be. Judy was very helpful and got us a good location and made sure we had a cart and everything needed to move in. Highly recommended!

We were moving up to the Bay Area from the Palm Springs area and needed a couple of storage units, one for the furniture and one for my classic car. I called the central reservations number and they got me all set up with what I needed with the Osgood Road, Fremont facility. Judy is the manager and has been nothing but helpful with our move-in. I was able to reserve the units several days in advance without charge. When we arrived to unload our furniture and car, the units were clean and all of them had a light to see everything inside. I can not speak high enough of how enjoyable and accommodation CubeSmart/Judy was to us and our needs. Their facility is right off the 680 Interstate and they have easy access. Again, thank you Judy so much for all your help and understanding. I would recommend this storage facility in a heart beat.
