I had a storage at this place when it was called Self Storage about 10 years ago and from what I see feel and have experienced it's a safer more secure property the management is prompt on time if no one's at the door they will be in less than 10 minutes the facility provided me a 10x20 clean no water leaks I was able to secure my property while moving into another apartment with no worries insurance covering was minimum management or secretarial on site prompt

Do not recommend anybody to use them as your storage facility, they action off storages that are infested with rats and roaches, I got a storage that was infested and everything in there was trash, the clothes was soaked in rat pee and roaches crawling all over, the building looks like it’s been abandoned and trash all over the floor, I’m sure with all the infestation in the locker i won the other lockers have it too or will have it, these people just like to take peoples money, I gave them my deposit money and paid for the storage I won because I was not going to pay more to clean out they’re storage, this is disgusting and sad that they would do people like this!!! If I can rate this lower I would… not recommend anybody bidding on actions for storages like this or renting out storages here!!!

Worst experience possible in every single way !!! Why even respond with your contact info when you know you guys ain't going to do nothing about it. I got about 1% chance that you guys going to pay for everything you guys damage. By the looks of your insurance clause you guys ain't covering anything. Staff sucks. Only one elavtor works half of the time. You get stuck in the storage if never comes down. You guys call but never leave a voice mail. Quick to add fees and raise the monthly rate. Not to mention make changes to contract that i never agreed to but have to go by. Like i said worst business experience ever. Can't even belive you guys are in business

It's been all bad since I got this storage. 1st the code they gave me to get into the gate didn't work so someone that was inside had to open it for me then the storage I was given had a lock on it so I had to put my stuff in a empty storage until the office was open the next day. Then the 3rd day I was going to go put more stuff in my storage but I couldn't because there was water leaking everywhere, all the floors were flooded with water. And now it's my 5th day I've had my stuff in there but it's been 2 days since the flood and I can't go in to see what is damaged. I haven't been able to even talk to any one to find out anything. This storage location is the one on Cherry Ave.

The staff is horrible. They always seem to be ons break. When they go to lunch, there is no staff on duty, even though they're are several employees there at the same time. One would think the employees could rotate their lunches so add not to inconvenience the customers; but not only that, they lunches are up to two hours long while we need help. When we do have a chance to interact, their attitude towards the customers is as if we are bothering them. They are rude and unprofessional. I am very dissatisfied and try to avoid any representative interaction if possible. Also, the facility is dirty and not well lit. There is no restroom for the customers so there are pools of urine in dark corners. It's a disgusting place with horrible service. I am unimaginably dissatisfied with this place.

So I've been storing my belongings at Securecare Self Storage since 2018. The first thing that attracted me to them was pricing. I've used Public Storage, extra space storage, Derrel's Mini Storage, etc, and paid literally double, if not more, than what I'm paying here. You just can't beat the price at Securecare Self Storage. The Second thing that attracted me to them was the gate access hours. I use this facility to store tools and supplies for my business, so this was crucial. They open early enough and stay open late enough for me to operate my business with ease Originally, I was a little hesitant about the area, but don't let that deter you from this property and stop you from saving hundreds/thousands of dollars a year when storing your belongings. I haven't had any problems in the 4 years I've been here. Especially with the new on-site property manager Juan, who is always aware of what's going on and who's coming and going, this property is pretty darn secure. I have refered multiple friends to this facility and they all stored here, some short term some long term, and they were all thrilled about the pricing. Plus, every time I had a friend store here, I was given a huge discount on my monthly bill as a referral bonus. They offer walk up units inside, and drive up units, both inside and outside. I've been here 4 years and will remain here as long as I still need a storage unit. I am very pleased with my unit and i think you will be too. Thanks Securecare Self Storage staff.

Horrible management, Juan decided rather than being helpful and do his job taunted and laughed. Stated he was in the office when he wasn't. Went back and forth saw him not once kept calling never answered. He was probably hanging out with all the homeless who were smoking in the far back of the building. Would not recommend this storage facility at all. Maybe if management was better it would be a different story.

This is a terribly run business. Management doesn’t care about gangs and problems until more break ins happen. I rented a downstairs unit to keep my stuff away from being stolen when an entire row had been targeted upstairs. Yes it’s cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

My experience with secure self storage was the worst ever I thought I was getting a good deal the ad is very misleading number one it says the first two months 50 percent off which was a lie I rented the unit over the phone and when I went inside the unit was disgusting very filthy and all the way up on the third floor across the building very hard to get to and I have breathing problems I called and was told I could get a refund I spoke to my dr and he said I couldn’t walk that far it’s not good on my heart so I asked for a refund and only to be told no they don’t refund money this is the worst place I ever been a absolute rip off I feel very disappointed in the staff and I would not recommend anyone to go there I was straight up taken for my money and they are not a good business

My books were destroyed and the insurance they offer does not cover mold. The front desk people really didn't think of what had just happened and asked if I wanted to "purchase any boxes." No I do not, why would I need boxes to move destroyed belongings? UPDATE: After I received a response from the owner of this business, the area manager didn’t reach out to compensate me in any way! Not expecting it. Just making sure no one else makes the same mistake trusting these folks.

Place Could Use a Massive Clean Up. Trash, urine bottles, even Feces have appeared on the ground and sometimes walls. Friendly Staff. Parking can be a hassle if you park and others park around your car. Storage pricing is fair, but they do tack on an additional $8 per 6 months to a year.

Not crazy about 3rd floor elevator not working..but everything else such as office staff was very helpful fast and easy...polite..and unit was very clean...just a suggestion...I asked if they can provide a map of the floor that way you can find where you are going...a person can get lost so quickly not knowing which way is what...or maybe big black numbers somewhere where you can read ? Only thing you can see is big green signs that read..EXIT AND FIRE EXIT ...I am grateful that this business is at a very good site.

Was looking all over town for a storage unit. Then atlast I found one a 10x10. So I filled out the lease online and was approved $105 dollars awesome deal can't beat the price. I arrive and my gate code didn't work no big deal went inside and they gave me the proper code. So I mozy my way to the 3rd floor by a awesome old school elevator. Found my unit number 286 right on the corner. Looked inside clean well lit what more could you ask for. But THEN I look at the corner and it has a 1 1/2 inch gap all the way up. The only thing holding it together is a piece of angle iron 6 inches long with 1/4 self tapping barley hanging on to the thin tin wall. Went to the office and politely asked if there was another unit I could get because you can literally pull apart the wall to enter the unit. Explained that it wasn't a very secure unit. The young lady slouched over in a office chair staring at a computer monitor mumbles to another employee "aren't they all like that?" "Then looks at the employee that was helping me and said "just give him a refund" in which I replied " I would much rather have a storage unit....but ok". Definitely need to deal with the young lady who doesn't want to retain business. Definitely need some employees with a work ethic. OH and the other comments about people living in units is true. As I was leaving off the elevator a lady came one with a bunch of groceries. Lol deff need to get ahold of that property.

Horrible place to store your stuff. There seems to be a couple of dozen homeless people living in various units on the property. There is an overwhelming stench of urine everywhere. If you rent a unit on the second or third floors, be aware that the two antique service elevators break down often, forcing you to either use the other elevator way on the other side of the property or take the scary, urine smelling stairways. Be sure to always keep your head on a swivel while on the property, there are some very scary people wandering around the place, my wife carried her mace device, I carried a hunting knife, just in case. There is no security on the property, we had our unit broken into twice and I lost a couple thousand dollars worth of tools. This place is the cheapest storage facility in Fresno, but there is a reason for that, and it's not good.

I have been renting a 10X25 unit in this facility for 7, yes seven, years now. When the previous owners were here my unit was broken into and it was handled very professionally and their insurance company paid me promptly and fairly. Since SecurCare took it over, the employees are different every time I go in there. Apparently there is more than one manager there, because I have talked to more than one guy who told me he was the manager. I have received a 15-20% raise in rent every year and they jacked up the amount they were charging for late fees. The rates they are currently charging for new customers for my size unit is $153, which is $55 less than I am currently paying. Their web rate for my size unit is $139, so $69 LESS than someone who has been a customer for 7 years! Loyalty means nothing to a company when current renters are paying higher prices than the new people- especially that much higher! I haven't given notice yet but when I am ready to, you can bet I will be taking my $208 elsewhere. Two different places were not only cheaper, they will let me use their truck for free to move my stuff!

Three and a half weeks to get the lift fixed. Finally got fixed today. Thank God they have two. Now I am a happier person. Thank you, Kelly for expediting the repairs.

dont even know where to begin so I wont just dont start any type of business(with this facility) all bad really needs security cameras and a new way of getting from floor to floor its ridiculous the lift is always broken down or someone leaves it up from another floor and you are trapped on a floor away from your car with all your belongings and no one ever ever ever comes up to help you or simply puts the lift doors down so you can get down its just flat out horrible and your belongings arent safe either

Everything was fine until I was moving out. I had 4 or 5 empty bins and a box of clothes. I asked if I could throw something's into their dumpster. I was told no. I explained how I was stuck in Fresno without gas money, but didn't want to lose my things. Was even crying I was so stressed out. I left the bins and diaper box with clothes in the unit. I had informed them I was closing the unit. So I took my lock and left. Guess I should have left it in the hallway. Then I received an email charging me for 2 weeks. Update: Even after contacting them I recieved a bill again now with a late fee. really. Whatever happened to compassion and helping your fellowman. Customer Service is not about the customer anymore. Its all about reel them in and then suck all the money you can out of them.

Don't even deserves one star. First time I had problems with this place , I got a phone call from them saying my lock had been broken off and I needed to come put a new one on and check to make sure nothing was taken! I said, NO..u will be replacing my lock, what and I paying insurance for and paying u to keep my stuff safe? SMH So then comes moving day, I had half my couch in there cause my apartment at the time didn't have enough room for the huge sectional we had. Any how, I pulled it out and baby termites we're eating up my couch. A $2,000 couch from Mor furniture and it's damaged. The manager tells me the insurance covers it and we sent all the paperwork and photos to them ....COME TO FIND OUT ...the insurance DOES NOT COVER MOTHS, INSECTS, RODENTS, VERMIN, MOLD AND MILDEW! So pissed ...this place is a joke. They need to be shut down and sprayed for bugs. DO NOT RENT HERE ..IM SAVINGS U A HEADACHE AND TROUBLE BELIEVE ME!

Management refused in person $30 cash payment for second months rent and cancelled rental agreement. I was still within my first month. Didn't bother to argue managements unsatisfactory excuse. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT RENTING THIS STORAGE FACILITY. The only courtesy I received from this place of business, is when I was moving out. Thanks anyway.

Horrible. Nightmare experience, literally. We reserved online. Made administrative fee, insurance, and lock payment before signing lease by phone. Were told we could access and move in after hours and were given incorrect hate code. Waited for someone to come out, and went in only to discover a homeless camp full of tweakers, and got stuck inside with no gate code to get us out! Called for refund and was denied. I'm now out $48 for fees I never even used, signed lease for, and never even got a lock! Beware!!!! Rip off, shady, unsafe, and units have chicken wire as ROOF.

I used to think highly of this place but after they changed owners I'm disappointed I never received the notice about the auto pay cancel mainly probably cause of my mail my apartments mailboxes got broken into so they got the letter sent back to them so I had to pay a larger fee then the guy on the phone said did I want to sent this card up for auto pay cause I was explaining to him I have a chronic illness not easy for me to get around all the time he said it was going to be the 1 time charge fee then set up for auto payments next month didn't come out I told them I set it up auto payment last time they said can't do it over the phone I have to come in and fill in a form and sure enough I got sick again but I'm out of the hospital and I'll toughen it up to sign the papers tomorrow I'd go today but closed

Be very very careful!! They just changed new owners and, as expected, they are totally maximizing revenue - at the expense of service. When we started a year ago, it was $57. That same unit is now $88. Plus, on the service side, they cancelled the autopay I had set up with them, and then sent me a $15 notice to lien and sell my items, with a late fee. I called them and they said they don't waive late fees or negotiate on liens ever. Of course, I paid them what they asked ($81 on my $57 unit). Now is NOT the time to get in. Wait for them to shake out the old customers and finalize their prices, hours, staff. Then, see the reviews AFTER it all shakes out. All the storage places do this every couple of years. It's just time for this one. Sadly, because they used to be a great deal.

I've been a customer here for a while and I love it. The place is really secure with cameras near all of the entrances. A manager lives on sight so it's always watched and super affordable! I only pay 50 for my unit and the insurance. I highly recommend this place! The people here will always work with you and help whenever needed! 10 stars if I could!

I would have given 5 Stars but I was really upset being Darrel's had give me a cheaper quote and also Extra Space Storage's Employee both told me different things. We were told over the phone $24 for a 10x10 and that was $22 cheaper than Darrel's. We arrive and the Gentleman that helped us was friendly and nice. There was 2 females along with him which seemed to be employees. All 3 took us to the 3rd floor to show us the unit. He then asked if I was going to be storing expensive items because they have insurance and each coverage varies. That's the catch because Darrel's price is locked in for $5000 automatic insurance. The gentleman asked me how much my valuables were and mention the $3000 coverage for $13 a month not bad at all. Well he said something one of the 2 girls didn't like because she made a rude come I didn't catch but my friend did. We proceeded down to the office where I realized left my wallet at home which is 1 mile or so away. I rushed being it was my Moving day and plans have changed and came right back. When we got into the car my friend mention the Girl was training the other girl and said "You don't say if you WANT the insurance. . .they HAVE To get the insurance." At this point it's 5 o'clock I'm rushing back and the gentleman is gone and it's just the 2 female employees. When setting me up to the account she quoted us a higher amount and mentioned to me I had to get the $5,000 coverage and not the $3,000 coverage it become frustrating at that point. I went through with the process and had no choice being I had to be moving out. There is homeless people hanging around all the time and it doesn't feel 100% safe.

Not a secure place to store your things. I stored my car there and after a couple of days I came back to check on it the custom cover that was on my car was gone. The guy told me there were no cameras in the back to cover where the car was parked. When I asked the lady she said there was cameras that had viewing in the back where cars were parked. This place has homeless people living out of their storage facilities. In the front gate there is a walk in gate that is not secure anyone can open it and get in. Once you are in you can open the big gate having access to any storage locker you want.

The web reservation was easy and honored. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, both people in the office were focused on helping us and other customers. The second floor spaces are easy to navigate thanks to the freight elevator and wide halls. The whole facility was clean and in working condition. It is a no frills approach. The security was impressive. You can't beat the price and its clean. Plus the people are professional with a positive attitude towards their guests.
