Cube Smart stinks. The lock on my storage unit was cut off. My unit was broken into and my valuable items were stolen. Cube Smart forced me to buy insurance from their carrier. It was impossible to file a claim with their carrier. I gave up and moved oltoba different, cleaner, safer, more secure storage facility. And similarly priced. I strongly encourage anyone considering renting storage from Cube Smart to go somewhere else. Cube Smart stinks. Cube Smarts Insurance stinks. Super irritating.

I would highly recommend renting from this place. the whole place has a slightly older feel But rest assured the security is constantly checked and your stuff will be safe. also the units are super tall 10ft~ ..... good price, drive up unit, well taken care of, and you can store just about anything at this place. 9.75 out of 10 only because I wish I could access my unit a little bit later than 10pm

No good at all…. Such a low level people in this location. Before them i had my unit for 3 years, i moved to them thinking i am going to have a better value, it was a huge mistake. This is a serious menace to the customer, and the management is on a whole other level of madness and racism. How can someone be that uneducated in 2024. Glad i found out before any other additional damages in my items. I saw that others complained about having their units vandalized and items stolen. City must take a look a this business. So many wrong business conducts at so many levels. They are taking advantage of the political chaos of the country

This is the worst place to conduct any kind of business… find you any other storage even for little more dollars, at least you don’t to loose your items or have them damaged. Units are infested with mice’s and cockroaches. Absolutely disgusting. I found new born mice’s inside the unit, and had to get ride of many destroyed items … not mentioning the water damage from the ceiling during the rain season. How in the world they allow themselves to lie to people about the service and status of the units. Watch out with the Obese lady at the office desk. she is a very toxic person and only looks for ways how to make your life a nightmare. It took time for them to hit me with their poison, cause i am not a person who socialize a lot due to the nature of my profession, but she ended up making up the excuse she needed to give me head aches just because i resisted the idea of accepting the prices to be raised. Response to owner: You can start by changing the management disaster you have. When all your customers are complaining about the management attitude. And of course You can check the service quality of other storage businesses and try to match them.

Prices will rise. If you stay too long they will call the cops. The cops will drive up to you on the property. They will check all the doors in the aisle that you are in to make it seem like they are working but what they are actually doing is hovering. Uncomfortable. Don’t store here. It was $54.90 when I moved in 4/2023 and 2 months later someone popped the locking mechanism out of the flimsy fiberboard door and stole my belongings. The insurance company that they required me to pay $12 per month, demanded receipts in order to cover any items stolen. So make sure you have receipts for all your belongings stored safely somewhere else. Otherwise your wasting the $12 per month that you will be forced to pay. On 9/23, they raised the monthly rent to $69. The last straw was on 6/2024, when they raised the rent to $82 for 6/2024. Don't waste a second or a penny on this place! Better off just leaving your stuff on the sidewalk. you'll be happier!

I like the convenience of their location but I have had nothing but problems with their billing. I was initially set up for auto-pay which worked fine for a couple months. After the first couple month, I get a call saying my account is late and overdue. I walk in to have see what was going on and was told they have no idea what happened. I have them manually enter in my cc info and asked them to please set me up with auto-pay. I was assured that happened. However, the month after that, I ge ANOTHER call stating I'm late and overdue. They even hit me with a $75 fee which I find ridiculous. I would not recommend this place.

I was very pleased when I stopped by this Storage! I was taken by an office Worker in a Golf Cart vehicle to 2 separate size storage units! I liked the size of these Units and I picked 1 storage unit immediately. When I came back in a few days, I unloaded my Uhaul furniture and then proceeded to the Office to pay for it. The manager girl have weight issues and spits her poisson on anyone not having her issue. I felt her hate since day one but since i had no issues coming from her I kept the unit. This last week i came everyday because i was trying to throw what i don’t need and end my contract since i don’t need the unit no more. During Saturday morning a regional manager asked me to not have the car facing the unit but parked near even if blocking other units entrances. He also asked to check what I have in my unit which was visible to anyone just packed furnitures and few plastic boxes. I of course didn’t accept my rights to be infringed by a moron who thinks that immigrants are slaves. Communication ended up and he left saying that he will terminate the contract. I went to him and we spoke and got along and accepted to let them check the unit for safety. They checked it and it was 100% safe. The local manager seemed unhappy that she couldn’t find any unsafe item and that all the claims were debunked as not True. The regional manager left thinking there’s no problem. But she took it on me and said “ I won’t terminate your contract, but i will put your access on office hours 9:30am to 6pm and no access on Sunday “ Of course i didn’t accept and told her to just get the hell out my face. She genuinely thinks that she have any power whatsoever. She genuinely thinks that she was able to hurt me. First of all you are not the only storage in town i found way better than your prices and even less driving time. Secondly, you have only hurt the business that recruited you and trusted you to be professional. Baffled all the rules and business conducts to somber into sensational accusations. When a customer responds to you, you don’t play the victim card like you do with your home partners. “ she literally obstructed my freedom of speech just by saying (‘ dont scream at me’) so i shocked her by saying :(‘ Oh i can whisper it if you want lady ‘) She didn’t knew how to answer. This is what’s up when you put a 30 years old with the brain of a toddler behind a desk to handle customers communication. More people will complains about you, and you will get caught. For me I won’t waste more time on this futility more than this review. PS: where is the white lady who was working before, she probably left because of the wrong deeds and harassment of this poisonous snake. Should I start investigating?? I am sure i will find so many secrets.

If you need to find a place to store your stuff look no further! I have many friends that have and continue to use this place. Some features include a rental truck, which is free on your first Move, also I think they also offer a P.O. box. The hours are reasonable and the staff often patrol to make sure your stuff is secure. Often you can catch one of the owners driving by in his golf cart, and after having dealt with and spoken to the staff and owners on numerous occasions I was shocked as to how much they do care and have a conscience! It is a family-owned business with values and it shows by the way they treat its customers! The people that work there are extremely amicable, and understanding, while still respecting your privacy! They are not afraid to go out of their way to lend a helping hand to those in need. After having worked and dealt with larger corporations, it's easy to see the difference. It's too bad more companies do not model their business practices similarly. When you use cubesmart for storage you are more than a number, your family. You can have peace of mind knowing your things are in good hands. Truly a great place to keep those precious things u just can't live without but not with!

Carlos is probably the nicest person I’ve dealt with when being a customer. The type of genuine kindness and customer service he provides is rare these days. From start to finish of rental process he communicated clearly and efficiently. He truly went above and beyond to assist us. He had crayons and paper for my kid which is really awesome. Every business should have this! What a smart idea. Location is great and convenient as you are right at 405, 55 and 5 frwys. It’s walking distance to the post office so if you use storage for items you ship out then this place is the one for you! I like how it’s sort of hidden in general. They have great hours 6am to 10pm which is most storage places don’t offer. I got a super great deal and again the best part of renting here is having Carlos.

Carlos and Ava are the most caring and professional people we worked with had the same unit for 26 that’s right 26 years and until CubeSmart took over Price increase in July was never received Paid the regular July rate and August always on the first of every month Rent due on the 6th to be accused of being late for July and charge late fee and have our storage locked out over 90.00 yes 90.00 for an increase we were not notified and or received a call email regarding the short payment for July or August serious !!! 26 yes 26 of renting never had an issue the take over we don’t get emails and or regular mail notifications but we get our storage tagged and locked out over 90.00 Best to have our legal team handle it as we have owned our business over 30 years and we have never had a customer issue to have an issue over 90.00 and waited all week for a call to resolved but their corporate manager is on an extended vacation and could not make a quick call to resolved the issue a week has gone by and no call Again Never received the increase notice Never Late 26 years Storage locked out for 90.00 No call No noticed after receiving regular payment for two months We’ll let legal deal with it We are done waiting for corporate to call seven work days and you can’t call Customer service … lack there of Best of luck we are done Happy to have legal follow up Happy to give you the 90.00 not worth our time

Even after hours, or in emergency type situations, Carlos goes beyond the call of duty to patiently help in any way they can. During the past 25 years. I have utilized storage facilities almost continuously. The following comments are about the Storage West facility in Irvine, California. Storage West is located less than 1 minute from the 405 freeway at the Jamboree exit in the city of Irvine. Behind the password-controlled electric gate, not directly viewable from the street, sits row after row of high- ceiling single story buildings, each containing individual storage units of every conceivable size and configuration. The perimeter of the fenced property is also lined with individual storage pods as well as designated parking spaces designed for cars, trucks, trailers, RV'S, boats etc. All totaled 800+ solutions sit on this very valuable piece of Irvine real estate, ready to solve any storage problem. Since every building is single story that means that every unit is on the first floor. This is unbelievably convenient and a tremendous time saver. No misplaced carts to hunt down, no service elevators to wait for, no too-narrow hallways to negotiate. Storage West even offers, by reservation, a moving truck complete with lift-gate. FOR FREE. No tricks, I've used it 3 times and it's truly free, not even gas. The place is clean safe and secure. Flood lights shine on the property providing safety and security for customers and illumination for the abundance of highly visible, monitored and recorded video cameras covering every square inch of the property. No spy-cams here. They see you and thats a good thing. All rows are extra wide and always free of litter and debris. I have never encountered as much as a single lightbulb in disrepair. The Place is impeccably maintained. Very comforting. The front office is located outside of the gate, appropriately, at the front of the property. Blanketed by huge, mature trees and surrounded by manicured grass and sculpted landscaping the front office more resembles a country cottage than a commercial business. This is also where the public restroom is located. Even the restroom is different here. With the exception of the combination punch lock door, this place reminds me of the powder room at my mothers house, certainly not a public toilet. There is also adequate ADA compliant parking. All of the calm, comforting, homelike vibe of Storage West is an extension of and a 100% creation of it's managers, Ava and Carlos. While I have no doubt that each of them is capable of performing any task required on-the property, their individual roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. Upon entry to the front-office cottage, behing Pandemic appropriate plexiglass (Covid-19 protocols are strictly enforced) you are greeted by AVA. Friendly, exceedingly competent and admirably efficient. Her responsibilities are daunting. In addition to the day to day operational and accounting responsibilities that 800+ units brings, It also brings 800+ customers with 800+ personalities and unique situations. From corporate types, to families moving, to those, unfortunately, not experiencing the best time of their life; Ava handles it all. Inquisitive without being nosey, calmly authoritative without being bossy, AVA is all business but hasnt forgotten the 1st duty of a business is acomodating it's customers. Behind the gate, in what must be Ava's longest lasting and most challenging managerial task, is Carlos diligently patrolling his domain. Accutely aware of every crack, crevice, lock, and latch, Carlos doesn't miss a thing. You may have to hop on his cart to talk to him as he stays moving. This real- life Santa Clause logs more miles on his little golf cart than I do in my car. I am not aware of any maintenance staff at Storage West. It is ALL accomplished by Carlos and, as previously stated, accomplished perfectly. He is also one of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever encountered. A true gentleman. I am not writing this review as a decades-long friend. I am just a customer of under 1 year. That said, it is an absolute joy for me to be around Ava and Carlos. I hold them in the highest regard.

This business is a straight up ripoff. I reserved a unit online after speaking to “carlos” and having him tell me my car would fit fine in their unit. Only to get there and see I would need to use ramps to pull my car in an out, not to mention no way would my car fit in the unit. Told him I wanted to cancel and they voided my contract, yet never refunded me. Beware this place will rip your throat out!

This place is an absolute scam. I reserved a unit online, found out that it wasn't going to fit my car (the place is an outdated dump that should be torn down), and they never refunded me, even though I never signed a contract to move-in. "Carlos" the manager appeared to be nice on the phone and said he would submit the refund request to his manager but that never happened even though I called twice. I submitted complaints to both attorney general and state licensing boards. Doubt it will do anything. You've been warned, this place is typical socal money-hungry scam artists.

Very clean units. The staff is friendly. Limited gate access only 7 ---> 7, not 24 hour. There is access 365 days though.

Storage West has been wonderful both in being helpful and accomodating. Carlos, Ava & Shannon are absolutely delightful! So super sweet and welcoming! Grateful for their help!!!

Stopped by to get an idea of the place and Carlos was there working on some things. He was super helpful on his day off aff they were closed. I set up my unit and look forward to having storage at this place.

Very roomy units available. Management at this facility is the main attraction here. Promptly responds to any request and very accommodating. Thanks to Ava and Carlos!

great couple who manages the property and prices and facility are very attractive... the hours are not as convenient as they could be, not open very late or early, but you wont get locked in and have to call IPD to get out... drawback is only open until 7pm

We have had a storage at this facility for about 5 years. Carlos and Ava obviously take pride in what they do as this facility is immaculate. They are a pleasure to work with and very accommodating . I would highly recommend this facility for your storage needs!

Carlos and ava are an absolute joy to work with. I was moving late and they opened up for me after hours and we're flexible with first time payments. The facility is well looked after and secure.

I don't usually go online to write reviews, but because of the superior customer service I received at Storage West in Irvine I felt compelled. Management at Storage West in Irvine is excellent! Carlos and Ava were friendly, VERY helpfully and efficient. We were going to go to Public Storage, but because of past bad experience with that company we decided to give Storage West a try and are really happy we did. What got us was their price was better, but what made the experience the best customer service I have ever received were Carlos and Ava. They even offered us their personal cell phones in case we ran into problems. They even have a truck available to use when moving your stuff in. No one offers service like that anymore. My husband and I feel content and relaxed knowing Carlos and Ava are taking care of our things.
