This location has the best gate hours 6am to 10pm, the best management, the app you can download to open and exit the gate without getting out of your car, and always has utility carts available. I met with Jerry upon reserving a storage unit. The process was very efficient, I did it all online and it was super super easy. I was a little confused when I got to the storage unit, but Jerry was such a great help. He took me all the way to my unit and showed me where it was, really helped me to understand. They even have these rolling carts around the storage to help you move your things from your storage to your vehicle and back with ease. Overall, great experience, super easy, you can do it all yourself. Additionally, the storage unit was very clean. 10/10 recommend.

I have a very mixed attitude at this point. I initially found this site in business on the Internet and I went online and I reserved a unit. Over the next three days I received at least two phone calls every day from the company wanting me to come in and fill out the paperwork. This directly conflicted with the Internet website information. The customer service rep (Jerry) made the start of this transaction feel like I was talking to a used car salesman, very pushy and extremely calling me several times a day to get me to come in. After I finally went in the actual manager of the site is very pleasant to deal with. (For her I give a five star rating) at this point in time I was also informed that Jerry is a commission based online sales customer service person. His approach was offensive to me and I expressd this with the manager.

Ms. Jessica Munoz is a customer oriented person. I have seen her pay attention to cleanliness. I have seen her making rounds, clean hallways, and ask if all is Okay. Rarely write reviews but wanted to say dealing with this location this past fall was amazing. Jessica and her team went out of their way to help this out of towner... not only made it easy to rent a storage locker but also helped me source boxes for packing and moving and went above and beyond when the movers i hired showed up with the wrong truck. She made a recommendation, called them herself, and 15 min later 3 movers and the proper truck showed up. You don't get good customer service like this any more these days so wanted to acknowledge theirs!

No good! My unit has been tampered with and took a lot of my personal stuff just last 10/2022. That day about 16units have been tampered with. Sounds fishy because their office notified my on Tuesday, and it triggered the alarm Monday…And last 2/10/2023 my unit has been tampered with again! Now they are saying the alarm is not compatible anymore…so all the units have no freaking alarm…and i was not notified of this change. Main problem said the OC Sheriff is, there was no camera inside the hallways of the storage units…just the driveways…i dont feel safe anymore…it doesn’t matter how big your padlock is, they can pick it open. So stressful and scared…not good!

UPDATE: Rather than admit they've made a mistake and do the right thing, reimburse us for the car detailing, we were sent a confidentiality and liability form. No issues with the liability form, but absolutely not around confidentiality. Customers have a right to know. What happened to integrity? We stored our car at this location back in July 2022. So you may be wondering why the one star rating? Well, as it turned out this location decided to paint their storage doors from green to red. That's fine, of course. However, it occurred to us that the car we are storing there may be impacted by spray painting the storage door. We were assured, with the utmost confidence that no paint will impact our car. Again, keep in mind we were storing a car... fairly important to us. We came back a few weeks later, retrieved our car, and while driving away noticed it was dusty. Totally fine, right? Well as we washed our car we then realized the car was absolutely caked over in red paint residue. It was over the entire back, top, front and all sides. We called our mechanic who said to take it straight away to get detailed. We had to have a 2-hour detailing, which thankfully got all of the paint residue off. But come on?? How did everyone who is storing items there not get impacted? Our car was drenched in red paint residue. This outweighs any of the good and should really serve as a warning to anyone considering using their services.

For some odd reason only Google shows my one star review of them and not my review in totality. I took my car there in July to store it only for two weeks. When we came to pickup my car we saw red paint dust all over my car ( just to mention my car is in excellent condition and always very clean.) There were no one there when we were picking up, it was around 8:40 am. First we thought best thing to do is to go and wash my car in the self car wash across the road there. We tried that, still a lot of red residue on the car. We contacted Toyota dealership, they suggested to take the car for detailing ASAP. So, we had to go for detailing, wait for 2 hrs in order for them to take off the red paint residue. This totally ruined our day, and destroyed our schedule. I personally would not recommend this place. Very irresponsible of them to paint the storage door and not take the necessary precautions to avoid getting paint dust all over my car. Update: CubeSmart contacted me recently to reimburse me for the detailing that I had to get done on my car ($114), due to their mistake with getting red paint residue on my car. However, as a condition for the reimbursement I would have to sign a statement of liability and confidentiality. I have no problem in signing the statement of liability, as thankfully my car was only there a short duration and with some fast thinking, I was able to get rid of the red paint dust/residue on my car. However, the audacity of the business to ask me to sign a statement of confidentiality. That is totally ridiculous. So, they want the paying clients not to be aware of their careless and ignorant behavior. What about if my car was there for a few months? Getting rid of the red paint residue would have been impossible. Or what if I had stored some irreplaceable memorabilia, and that was destroyed with this red paint residue? The audacity of this business is very disturbing to me. To show integrity you should admit you made a mistake, immediately make amends, and not add any conditions. I will not allow the company to silent me, and prevent me from warning other customers about their carelessness.

Better pricing and by far more secure than Public Storage where our stuff was stored prior. The staff is helpful and friendly and if you need it they have a moving truck with a ramp you can use for FREE. Highly recommended!

The facility is solid, clean, and well cared for with great security. The employees care about it a lot and take their jobs seriously. I met with Brian and Dustin, they're fantastic, knowledgeable, and hospitable. The facility is easy to use and navigate, and they have these big platform trucks (a type of large heavy-duty handcart I suppose) placed throughout the facility for use. These platform trucks were a lifesaver for me. I loaded my whole storage unit in, no joke, 2 loads as opposed to around 10 with an ordinary dolly. Overall, mainly due to the customer service this place has, this is a genuinely pleasing and easy place to go to. In the past, storage units felt to me like a hassle to deal with, or even unsafe. This place feels safe and welcoming. I genuinely will always look for a Storage West whenever I need a storage solution.

Nobody wants to store their stuff but Storage West makes it as pain free as possible... Ok several things that make this place outstanding. 1. Brian the on site manager. He has been helpful in the extreme. He has gone above and beyond in providing us with answers to our questions, helping us actually move and in selecting the best "locker" based on our individual needs especially when we discovered we needed two lockers instead of one. 2. Physical security. This place is wired for everything. There is full information accountability if something were to turn up missing or damaged and Brian provides 3 different levels of insurance for your storage. 3. The place is clean clean clean...inside and out! 4. Brian and his crew keep an eye out for suspicious folks and don't hesitate to make sure they are dealt with. 5. The climate factor. I have instruments and amps that can't stand high heat or damp cold places either. Brian showed me 3 different lockers allowing me to decide which was best for my gear and as she did so he explained how each locker was affected by the sun or inclement weather. 6. The big box truck you can use to move! No silliness with UHaul, Storage West has a truck you can reserve for your move. We used it and it was clean neat and a HUGE help 7. Flat dollies to haul your stuff into your locker. You make less trips and you don't get as tired as quickly.Nice touch. Bottom line this is by far the best option for storage in south county. Friendly staff, a no pressure environment, clean, neat and props to the main office for putting Brian in charge. You will not be disappointed. Kudos to Brian and his staff!
