25 years at this storage and they change the lock our lock without our knowledge or our permission! Who does that?! And upon being called out on it they then harass us refusing to let us in to our storage with their lock on it. We've paid in full $749 a month and they pull this stuff yes they've been paid $749 a month for 25 YEARS!!! unbelievable and I've never seen such stuff from any business let alone a NATIONAL storage- the unprofessionalism is unbelievable!!

Worst storage facility! My unit is on the 2nd floor. Not only is it dirty, but, the elevator didn't work & we were locked out of the building for a significant amount of time.

I found CubeSmart through Facebook. I had originally had a different storage unit and they were charging me close to $200/month for a 5x10. I looked into CubeSmart and applied. Chatted with someone to make sure that the price is what they said it was even after promotions. Since they said yes I went ahead and canceled my other storage and went with them because they were a little under $100 per month. When we were moving our stuff over there, the lady in the office was super nice and helpful! So happy to be there!

The place is a SH with homeless trash I have seen 2 managers com and go so so now I’m on the third and she seems to be doing the best job out of them all she’s at store 149 and her name is Caroline when she first showed up. I took it with a grain of salt and expected things to stay the same well she’s done a great job cleaning up the place, and getting the home Vagrants that come and hang out all day in their storage lockers so I think she’s gonna be a good manager if she sticks with it on the sidenote nothing to do with management but how do you rent a 10 x 10 to a person that’s been there for three years and charge $249 a month that seems outrageous anyway that’s my personal comment. Other than that I feel more comfortable leaving my stuff in storage at your facility now with Caroline being the manager at my rental area or store I guess thank you I hope this message doesn’t fall on deaf years like it always does keep up the good work, Caroline .

I moved back home to the Midwest while my husband is deployed. We have been keeping our things with cube smart in Oceanside and it has been the absolute worst experience. Their autopay hasn’t worked a single time over the past 4 months and now I can’t get ahold of ANYONE to pay my bill for July. The last time that I was able to get a hold of someone, they told me I would be required to pay the late fee since it had been more than ten days past my due date… well, I had been trying to get ahold of them for 2 weeks to pay. The gentleman hung up and told me he would call me at the end of the day. That was Friday. This is Tuesday and I can’t get anyone on the phone other than their automated answering machine. It is so worrisome and frustrating being across the country from All of my belongings, genuinely not knowing whether they will be in the storage unit that I left them in when I return. Not to mention any other late fees I may be stuck with due to the negligence on their part. I will actually be cutting my trip home a couple of months short because I can’t keep doing this. Would not recommend CubeSmart to any of my fellow military families. Update : I have still been unable to get ahold of anyone from my store. I just revived an email that I will be penalized with additional late fees and access restrictions. Stay away from this place!!!! Hoping I will still have my things when I return.

New magement is the epitome of awful. Refuse to do their job, lock people in almost nightly without a way to leave (emergency number now goes straight to voicemail, it used to be staffed. No manager on site , leave units unlocked for weeks when people leave( was not like this until very recently. Many other issues but they all seem from low i.q. people now running this facility

STAY AWAY FROM EL CENTRO LOCATION IN OCEANSIDE! The Vista Way location is worth it, but please do yourself a favor and do not bother with the El Centro one. There was no staffing more than half the time when I was there, no elevator access, smelled like urine all throughout building C, and had to reach out to another location in order to get my unit canceled.

Charged $155 for unit. 2 doors over paid $95. Unit leaked twice took 2 weeks to fix. Found dear rat in unit. Doors were old and difficult to operate. Company reached out to me. Wanted me to email my contact info. They already have my info. Cubesmart. In case you don't unit C209

Do not store your belongings here. They have no cameras, no alarms, the gate is frequently open and the internal doors don't lock. All my belongings were stolen while using a CubeSmart supplied lock. There are many vagrants which management is aware of but does nothing. You are required to use their insurance which will negate any personal insurance you might have and their company has been very slow to respond. I am out thousands of dollars and their regional manager failed to do the one thing he said he would after the theft. You can draw your own conclusions whether management is involved in this racquet. Stay away.

Horrible experience .. false advertising , I paid for a drive up access 10x12 unit and when I got there my unit was not only located in the back of a hallway but it was a corner unit with a small door. BUT TO TOP IT OFF IT WAS LOCKED. AND THE ONSITE MANAGER SAID SINCE OFFICE HOURS WERE ALREADY OVER I HAD 5OWAIT UNTIL MONDAY. HORRIBLE SERVICE

I rented a unit for 6 months. I maybe went to the unit less than 5 times due to the fact how uncomfortable it was to be there. Although the property was “secured” with gates and codes, it is in a terrible area of Oceanside, with many many homeless people around the property, and within. There were homeless people that paid for a unit in my building and essentially resided there during the entire day while the facility was open. My unit was on the second floor interior and there only appeared to be cameras at the door and outdoor alleys- not inside the building hallway. This made me extremely uncomfortable to go to my unit with multiple people that essentially lived there just a few unit doors down. I felt like I was being watched. I was there over multiple months all at different times and they were always there. Management told me they didn’t “live” there, but came and went. But there’s was nothing they could do about it. Very expensive facility for not only being old and dirty, but also felt very unsafe. Management was very nice, this isn’t their fault. I understand there are many protections in place for homeless individuals, but as a single female, this was not the place for me.

I worked with David at Storage West Oceanside to set up a large storage unit for when my husband deployed. He was so great to work with, made everything super easy, especially since we did everything over the phone due to COVID-19. We had a last minute change in plans and didn’t end up using the storage unit at all, and they gave us a full refund. I will definitely go to them if we ever need storage in Oceanside again and would recommend them to anyone in the area!

The appearance of the place started to change significantly for the worse once CubeSmart took over, not to mention the immediately rising prices. The higher prices and the uncleanliness of the facility are why if I need a storage unit ever again I will definitely not be going to CubeSmart.

Expensive, fees for everything, EVERYTHING. Probably going to get charged a fee for this Yelp review. Shop around people, lota storage places around. First rent, then "preferred lease" fee $9.95, then late fee $25.00, then "pre lien" fee $15.00. So, $44.95 in just fees, all them fees, 17 days past due. Hahahaha this place is AWEFUL! Trust me people not only are they in the ghetto with bums everywhere, its fees, fees, fees and the only factor in the fee schedule; yes, schedule is the bottom line. As retired military, guys, they're banner in front is a joke. Ask your buddies, place is aweful for storage, even for just a small storage during deployment. UPDATE: Now they wont talk to me cause' of an HONEST BAD REVIEW!! Give me a break, real professional David, clown! Happy hunting folks!

David the full time manager at the above address is a 10 star employee....I have had two lockers with Storage West. David helped & supported me on at least 3 occasions when abnormal occurrences occured. He helped me immediately in each case, was kind, efficient & professional. All help has been good at this site while I had property here. If I ever need storage again I will not hesitate to use Storage West.

The on-site managers Jake and Jennifer provided nothing but exceptional customer service. Communication was always quick via email, and if they were away from the office I always got a call back promptly. For the same price of some smaller units at other locations, Storage West offered bigger storage options. I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with them and if i needed more storage in the future I would definitely go through them again. Thank you!
