We been with this storage facility for several years and it has become a disappointment not only that, they been raising their monthly fees often, and their only elevator isn't working, doing absolutely nothing to fix it or reimbursing our money back, claiming they cant help us in any way when we have two storage units , one unit located in the second floor and another located in the third floor filled with extremely heavy stuff.

I had no real complaints regarding this facility until recently. This past week I went to access my unit. It is on the 2nd floor. The elevator was broken. I have a lot of things I wanted to get and there is no way I can carry them down a flight of stairs! I have checked daily and no one seems to know when the elevator will be fixed. I see no one working on it. I left numerous messages for Gabriella and have not heard back. I need a date that I can get into my unit and use elevator to bring down the stuff I want to get. I deserve to be contacted as soon as possible!

I recently decided to get a space at Cubesmart in Orange, and as someone who tends to overthink things the decision did not come easy. Luckily I worked with Dan who was wonderful. He really put me at ease, and by the time I was signing the papers I was beyond confident I made the right choice. The space is impeccably clean, everything is super secure, and frankly the price point is great. Overall I’m very happy with my experience, highly recommend if you need a storage spot.

I absolutely HATE the prices that are associated with the units after the 6 month period. It’s way too expensive, however, the staff at this location have been so genuine and extremely helpful which has made me feel more comfortable paying such amounts in an effort to sleep better knowing that there are people at CubeSmart that care about my things as much as I do. In particular there is a gentleman whose name is Dan and I can always count on him to call me and let me know when my unit is going to be late and extra fees will be applied. So far our opinion is this is a great storage facility. I reserved a unit based on prices but then was concerned based on some reviews on Yelp. I let Dan know my concerns and he immediately called. He was concise and thorough with his explanation and took the time to address each and every concern. We decided to go check it out. We ended up going with Cube Smart in Orange based on the online price deal- which will change after the introductory rate, and honestly, how Dan presented himself. He was super helpful to us but also to every customer who entered the building. Every storage facility in the area has issues with break ins and price hikes. We’ll give Cube Smart a try and go from there!

There is nothing wrong with CubeSmart, in fact there are many things that I like about CubeSmart Dan and Gabby are awesome, they are the employees that work here. Gabriela was so helpful laying everything out about Cubesmart the day I first came in, she is very knowledgeable and has an easy manner about her that made my stressful move on that day just a little easier. Not recommending this place cause it's not safe to put your belongings here! They will get rummaged through, and you will never knoe until you need to go inside for something. The latchs are a joke. Just like the insurance they offer it's a joke . If you want to assure safety and cleanliness go and longer hours not 7am to 7pm.....Extra Space Storage on State College/ Katella they have QUALITY security and your access is 6am to 10pm ITS ALL AROUND JUST A BETTER EXPERIENCE FOR ANYONE NEEDING STORAGE. Moving in was an easy process and when I misjudged the space I needed, I was quickly and easily assisted in transferring to an appropriate unit. Every time I have stopped by since, I'm greeted warmly when one or both of them are on the golf cart, either showing a unit or keeping an eye on things. The front office is kept cool and there is a restroom for customer use. The facility is clean and the location is freeway close. Did I mention that I'm paying half for the same size unit I was renting just a few miles away?

After almost 4 years my rent went from $170 a month to over $420. When I finally cleared my stuff out, it smells like rat piss. The employees are all really nice but the owner ripped you off. They don't even warn you that they are raising the rent. I'll never use Cubesmart again.

My storage unit was broken into on two occasions. The door locking mechanism didn't work. Their security system does not auto dial police when employees are not present. Thousands of dollars of my property were stolen. Possessions from my dead wife are lost forever.

Friendly & professional front office service. Properly is well maintained. Recent unannounced rate increase had us concerned. We were able to downsize our storage unit and take advantage of a 4th of July discount. We hope the rate holds for at least 6 months. Update: We went from a 10'x10' drive up unit to a 5'x10' drive up. We just completed our downsizing move through a series of donations and home reorganization. We rented the units between January and September of 2023 while moving from a 2500 sq ft home to a 1500 sq ft home. The move involved a remodeling period of both homes. On site storage was handled with a 16' unit by Storage Valet. We would use both CubeSmart and Storage Valet if the need were to arise again.

Finally the new manager (Gina) is really wonderful! She's very helpful and I see her always on site taking care of things & assisting customers. I've had a storage unit for almost 3 years now, I go regularly to my units. The staff has changed several times, many of them didn't seem to know what they were doing and gave me conflicting information when I got a second unit. Finally things seem to be going in the right direction.

We had an unfortunate experience with a customer rep on the phone. Gina, the manager, heard our concern and took it seriously. Gina ensured our close out went smoothly and sent us an email confirmation. Gina reported the customer service reps bad behavior to her manager. Gina was a consummate professional and her assistance was appreciated. Cubesmart will be the storage facility for us should we need these services in the future.

The storage space is good and well air-conditioned BUT I’ve had issues with my code numerous times and this is the third time I go when nobody is in the office during the early afternoon. There is always a “will return” sign with a time that is obviously just for decoration. I’m convinced nobody actually works the front. Just a joke! As a business that has their storage unit here, you’ve wasted our time and money. Super tired of it.

Cubesmart is understaffed at my location even though they have raised monthly rents by over 25%. They also failed to provide adequate security cameras in my row, so that 13 units were broken into. All of the staff are quitting because they are overworked and stressed, due to understaffing. Cubesmart needs to take some of our extra rent and pay their staff enough so that they will want to stay.

HORRIFIC. AVOID AT ALL COSTS 01/16/23 Cubesmart increased rate over $150 to a total of $795 for about 200 sqft. Contacted them on a Saturday, spoke with a Lyndsey or Lacie...said the rate would remain at out original rate. We then received notice today from "Petra" that they were NOT going to honor it and the increase would continue and if if i don't like it i can just move out. $800 a month for 200 sqft?!?!?! AVOID THIS PLACE 8/31/22 Units not protected 14 units were broken into the other day...3 days later still no repairs. In fact nobody even showed up to the office. office personnel clueless and lazy. District manager lazy and does not respond. Take your stuff elsewhere, don't give em your money 9/6/22 update unit still not fixed....every day they tell us it will be. Called the "district manager" Russel Jacques. Says "as of Friday I have retired". Clown Show.

Really terrible experience as cubesmart bought the facility I’ve rented space in for years. First my account got mixed with another tenant and he got my bills, making me come into the office to sort out. Next the gate codes didn’t work with no warning or communication. I stopped by twice to re-sign a new contract per their request but found the office closed due to reduced office hours. Finally this week they are raising my rent by 20% after all this atrocious service. Now it will cost me to move to another location because I have large heavy items in storage. Stay away from this poorly managed and impersonal nationwide company. Support your local businesses instead!

Do not recommend Cube Smart. They took over Storage West where we had no issues. Cube took over and immediately sent us a bill for the wrong amount. And we were on auto pay. Finally sent us a correct bill demanding payment. When I finally reached the actual office they said don’t pay because you’re on auto pay. Never an apology from Cube. Nothing. I decided to move out my stuff after the payment went thru. I was locked out of my unit I guess because I hadn’t filled out the new agreement? Went to the office where it appears all the previous workers are gone. The hours on the office door were wrong. Managed to get a temporary code to get my stuff out, thank heavens. Never using Cube again.

Very happy with my decision to rent a 10x22 ground floor with drive up. So easy to navigate threw the units with plenty of room. I love how well the property is kept up and managed! The staff have been very professional and have made sure I understand all aspects of the contract and how they run the grounds. I read the reviews prior and noticed the negative posts but felt they were out revenge and possibly due to neglecting to follow rules given. This place is well managed and staffed with exceptional employees!

Worst mistake I ever made in my life. If you run into any financial hardship no matter what they will do absolutely nothing to work with you and your space rental will double from just fees. They will not take any kind of partial payments so that you can work towards paying it down and the fees just keep piling on. I should have known better when I originally went in and what I was quoted for a price on the phone was drastically different from what they were actually going to charge me. Yes I agree I am wrong for falling behind but that should not give them the freedom to tack on exorbitant charges that border on robbery. Rent a space from these guys and you will know what indentured servitude is.
