Nice clean unit. The process was easy. I went to another Cube Smart at first and it was scary. It had poor lighting and I got locked in and they told me to leave my car behind. Super shady! I'm glad this one was better. I would give the Aero drive one 4.5 stars and the only reason it's not 5 is because there are no trash receptacles.

Compared to my last storage place, this company is 5 stars (Morena Storage). The amenities include app remote-code entry and exit, climate control storage, and I felt the staff were professional and friendly. Additionally, I like how the traffic was minimal and most people were courteous of one another.

I would highly recommend CubeSmart. I've rented at four storage facilities in San Diego and this was, by far, the nicest and best value. It was safe, clean, the elevators always worked, the workers were really friendly, there was enough parking, there were enough carts, the carts weren't wonky, the design of the unit (opened the long way for easy access), and the hours were reasonable . These are all things I would have taken for granted if I hadn't rented elsewhere. I've already told my local family and friends if they need a storage unit, this is where they should go.

Very Small units and aee suspended high up you need a ladder to reach them. Veey dangerously located. Very expensive also. Vwry happy that I moved out. Also THEY DID NOT GIVE ME PRORATED RATE FOR THE REMAINING DAYS. Moved out on the 7th, and I had paid up until the 26th. I lost all monthly rent of about $78 plus insurance for a littlw box suspended high up in the air.

Be aware that the small storage spaces are located above a ground floor storage locker and accessed by a ladder. If you are uncomfortable lifting your things above your head, you shoudl consider this carefully.

My storage unit got broken into a month into renting the space. The insurance the company recommends has neglected to take a claim from me and it’s been a year. I’ve been away for work travel and haven’t been able to move out the space and had to continue renting but noticed so many more things were stolen as I just got in town to move out the space. Music equipment and nice headphones, an Xbox X, speakers , etc I just can’t believe the neglect I’ve received due to a theft I didn’t have control of. Mind you they don’t have a camera set up in the hallway my unit was broken into, how convenient. It’s called cube smart as the units are up high and they still got broken into.

Clean facility. Convenient location. Quick service. During a last minute move I realized I needed a storage unit that wouldn’t cost so much monthly & I needed it at that moment because my uhaul was due back. Went online, found this location had an amazing deal, immediately reserved a unit. Completed the application process and payment online and the unit was ready as soon as I arrived 1.5 hrs later. VERY PLEASED with the service as it was a Sunday when I did all of this so I assumed it would be a headache. When I arrived I didn’t even have to interact with anyone, I was able to find my unit and store my items with ease. Highly recommend this location!

The facility is great, and the staff are very nice. However 3 months after signing, they significantly raised my rates by 42% and told me they could again. I feel like they need to be more upfront when you sign about the rate increases and when they happen. They purposely are very vague and just say it could be increased. I would plan on paying 40 to 50% more after a few months if you sign.

I remember a guy( another cubesmart customer) came in an couldn't believe me when I said bathroom is locked an the employee went off too lunch . His face ?? ....why don't they just get a code . Well kept and climate controlled. Somethings to note $29 one time admin charge. $20 key charge and $12 insurance. The entire area is key controlled and camera covering all areas. Two seperate parking area at front and back. There are pull carts available for moving. Well kept and clean. One problem is we cannot complete the booking on website as there are some issue validating and not able to go to payment page. Customer service directed us to go to office to complete the process and the staff was helpful in completing it.

Door on the side of the building closest to my unit has been broken over a year! I tried to inform them, got the brush off that the district manager would call me and NEVER did. Poor service!!

I do not like leaving negative reviews and this is my first. I need to let potential customers know what they’re in for. After 2 months of renting, my unit increased by $50. I put in a reservation for a promotional rate and was told that I could not have it until six months of renting. Once I reached six months, I attempted to get the promotional rate, they said I would have to pay a month of the old rate in advance, and have the access applied to the next month, or open up another cube at the same time, essentially having two units rent to pay for. I noticed a significant amount of units unrented in the building on my floor. This location is comfortable advertising to get new people (business) for $50 less per month versus trying to work with customers who are already in the building. They would rather lose money acquiring new business than keep the current customers [happy]. I’ve never had this issue before. I liked the unit but unfortunately, the business practices of the owners/management caused me to leave and go somewhere that can at least pretend to care about the customers. Remember, the customer may not always be right, but the customer is the customer. As of January 9, 2023, I have attempted to email them three separate times, per the owners request, and no one has responded to me. 6/10/24 I’ve since moved onto another (3rd) storage 2/06/24 and I’d like to commend the customer service, location, facility, cleanliness and rates. I looked at the new reviews and I see that this CubeSmart is still publicly posting asking for customers who left a negative review to contact them and still taking two weeks to respond. I also see that they’re still using the same pricing practices. They have not changed. If it’s convenient for you readers, try Kettner Self Storage, they’re grrreat!

We visited 2 other storage facilities that day, both were dirty, dingy and HOT. No climate control-which we thought we were ok with. One had a very scary looking freight elevator and the other we almost got stuck in the elevator. We arrived at Cubesmart and Janelle was so friendly and helpful. The facilities are beautiful, CLEAN and well maintained. With similar pricing to the others. We are SO happy with Cubesmart (and to have more space in our home!)

UPDATE: Their customer service is non-responsive. Their PR team commented here and asked me to reach out so that they could address the problems I experienced. I emailed them but have not heard back two weeks later. Their attempts to seem responsive and concerned when they get a bad review are disingenuous. I received a bait and switch. I reserved a unit online and I was provided one price in writing, which was sent to me by email. When I went to the rental facility they would not honor the price they provided to me. I rented a storage unit anyways, only to not be able to access my unit due to the fact that they gave me an inoperable gate code. To summarize: 1. They wouldn’t honor their own offer. 2. They could even provide me with access to the storage unit I eventually rented.

I don’t know who is leaving all these fake reviews but they’re full of it (if I could give them no stars, I would). Let me start by saying that this place is disgusting, poorly managed, not maintained, and EXPENSIVE. I finally got tired of being given the run around on pricing and trying to extend my storage contract for one day, yes, I said ONE day, so I finally left today and was sure to tell everyone how this place will rob you of your money and barely secure their belongings (please see photo for the world’s longest standing order to fix a broken door) because the door has been broken for at least 4 months, at the absolute LEAST. Every time I ask the woman when the door will be fixed, I get the same answer, “we’re waiting on a part”. Apparently, they must order their parts through Wish. The “manager”, a rude woman named Leyde, told me that the unit needed to be cleared by 5pm or they “would move me out”. Funny enough, this woman has the gall to email me at 430pm and harass me about someone else’s belongings. There is nothing clean about this place. They don’t even provide a trash receptacle on-site for customers paying almost $250 per month. I have come there on multiple occasions where there was trash and vagrants right outside the units I rent. Last time I checked, we’re paying for security and the right to not be harassed while getting things out of my unit. Today, my wife needed to use the restroom, and it was “being cleaned” (see photos once again for the reason why it was really out of order). Do yourself a favor now and run in the opposite direction when they offer you a contract. For those of you who are still there, I hope that you read this and find better accommodations elsewhere. CubeSmart was the perfect solution for our temporary need (that ended up being 2 years LOL). I love the fact that it was had a/c (you don't realize you need it, you do!) It was never too busy, I was always able to find parking. On the last day of moving the last 2 items out. I ended up losing my storage key! I couldn't believe it. The office staff was soooo nice though! Since I wasn't going to be reusing my key, they kindly drilled it out for me. They didn't even charge me for it! I really appreciate their "above and beyond" attitude.

Leyde was so helpful and professional. She made this a stress free process and answered all my crazy questions. Undoubtedly, my great experience with the facility was because of Leyde. Storage unit is very clean and accessible with plenty of carts for all the movers. No regrets choosing this facility. UPDATE - on 8/25/21, I spoke to Jerad about terminating my rental agreement. Within minutes of emailing the facility, Jerad gave me a call to answer all of my questions. My situation is unique and Jerad was very kind, informative, and patient. Overall, Great customer skills and exemplary communication. Very happy with my experience with cubesmart. I would recommend the facility.

Good storage rates a fair but don't want you about rate changes which I dont think is very professional of the company they let you know very shortly before I basically realized it on my own before I got my notice. Other than that not a bad storage facility Update: can't trust the company anymore had another problem with management at another location. Was told I would be reached out to be upper management, never was so just won't recommend any over there locations. Best of luck to who chooses to do business with them.

Had a medium sized unit there for a year, was ok location was great for me the ease of access wasn't, the two stars are because they locked me in one night when I was three minutes late leaving after closing and nobody would pick up the emergency phone for over half an hour, not a fun experience to say the least.

Always cars in parking that weren't actively loading/unloading with very limited parking. Doors and gates we're often inoperable or propped open so not much security. Multiple times saw people enter the facility through propped gates and follow others into storage area. Three months of storing there and I never saw any security. Also, Cubesmart will not pro-rate if you vacate early in the month. Don't let the new building fool you. Rent somewhere that takes security seriously. Staff at the front office is nice and helpful.

I felt compelled to write this review because of all the changes I have seen. The homeless population has really dropped in the last few weeks. I see the girls that work there are constantly cleaning up and I've seen the Manager there after hours trying to clean up these huge amounts of trash and deserted items. She is pretty strict with the bathrooms, but when I spoke to her she let me know she was working on a way to change the locks so that people can't trash it over night and bathe in it. Thank you Megan and Liz! I see your hard work and appreciate you for always taking the time to explain things to an old woman!

Dirty facility, lack of basic tools, overpriced, and lazy/rude workers. My experience here was so bad that, even though I rarely leave reviews, I felt compelled to do so for this business. (The funniest part is that when I first got a unit here, they begged that I leave them a good review, which makes me wonder about the rest of the reviews posted for them given the stark difference in my experience here). I have a storage unit at a CubeSmart in Las Vegas and the difference between that one and this one are night and day. Firstly, the units at this facility cost double the price of the ones I have in Las Vegas. Additionally, the CubeSmart in Las Vegas is ran by kind and helpful staff who go out of their way to make sure your are well accommodated. The staff here are not only unhelpful, they are just flat out rude - constant attitude and random snarky comments. There are not enough dollies for there customers (a problem that the Vegas facility did not have) and the staff will rudely ask you to hurry up with using them. The facility was not clean once in the entire time I stored there - grimey elevators and nasty bathrooms. The worst was that the staff was so lazy that, rather than clean the restrooms, they put up signs on every restroom saying that they were "broken". The fact that I had to pay more money for such a poorly managed business is ridiculous. There are far cheaper storage units with better staff and cleaner facilities - do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

Ridiculous Greedy Ba$tards!!! Since renting space in January rent was increased nearly 10%! They also reduced days late to default and late fees. They have also begun "Convenience Payment Fees" for paying online or by phone. It is impossible to pay in person, because of "Covid" you need to call for appointment but nobody man's store or phone. How in the HE!! could you win any customer service award? You only Serve Yourselves!! So just moved out of my unit after 3years there. I paid less than $200 when I moved in - now nearly $400!!! Swept up for move out ... Walked all around entire building with a full dustpan, looking for trash can ... None. Had take full d ustpan in car with me. Should've thrown it in bushes. ??

General Manager Christa and her colleague Liz have been extremely accommodating. Christa and Liz have taken time to carefully explain all details to me, even when I asked the same questions several times just to make sure. I did this all remotely from the East Coast. Everything was done online and anything we needed she made sure it was emailed, and within 5 minutes. Christa and Liz are very patient and definitely an asset to your organization. The staff and building in aero drive San Diego CA is clean and professional all the time. Very good experience with all the staff and they are very helpful. There’s always a cart for moving and the elevator is always working. There’s nothing bad I can say about my experience. Super happy and thankful for the support and Ready to please attitude! Military friendly.

The units are super clean, door locks after business hours, music is playing in the facility, the temp is kept cool, and location is great. Krista, the GM, helped me move in and she was amazing! She was friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. She made the experience even better. I felt the rate was fair with the level of service and cleanliness of the space. Super happy with everything so far.

While I don't write a lot of reviews, I felt compelled to offer praise when someone/something exceeds expectations. The CubeSmart company, Manager Lizbeth Prado, and General Manager Krista Rangel did just that. I initially began my "storage experience" with Public Storage, and it was terrible. After a couple months of worrying about my stuff without a temperature controlled climate, a poor office manager who hates her job named Sheila, and run-down storage compartments, I decided it was time to move. I found a CubeSmart near me, and the reviews looked good. Although I had never heard of the company, I decided to give them a look. Upon entering CubeSmart, the facilities were clean, video monitors were on and working, the units were temperature controlled, and the prices were affordable. The manager I worked with was Lizbeth Prado, and she was AWESOME! She was friendly, super helpful, and got a me a rate that made the hassle of moving all my stuff (again) worth it. CubeSmart is a wonderful place for storage, and this company has exceeded my expectations for what a storage company should be. They set the bar for excellence. Thanks to CubeSmart Self-Storage, I will assuredly be using you again with storage needs in the future. Thanks Lizbeth and Krista! You managers are STELLAR. Nice clean place, fair prices, staff is helpful when needed as well as non intrusive otherwise. I have since relocated but would rent again. If not only just because the dark reddish haired young lady that manages the place, is a treasure of a woman and beyond delightful to look at.

Moved in with the help with Lizbeth and Krista, both amazing friendly staff. Not going to lie i got lost all the time! but thankfully they were always so generous to help my wife and I around. My wife moved in and we were there after their regular hours and they were still very patient and welcoming. Definitely recommending this place!

In search of storage, met Krista (the general manager) and even at the extra expense it was worth it. She went above and beyond to explain, to show us around. If only more businesses had a Krista. It is also a sweet deal having one month free. I like that there is a/c inside and music is playing and that the doors lock and you can't get in without a code after standard business hours. A bit more expensive than other places but totally worth it :)

I was able to reserve a space late the night before and check-in/move in first thing in the morning the next day. Everything was smooth, clean and straightforward. The property is gate and felt very secure and they sell locks, boxes and anything else you need.

Two knowledgeable and professional women helped me over a 3 day period by showing me the unit, explaining all costs associated with starting a rental. Also they were understanding That I needed a little more time ro decide about reserving. Even went the extra step to let me know they were in the office on the holiday as well. Showing me the unit was not a problem and Id like to mention I was politely welcomed upon entry of the facility day 1. The unit exceeded my expectations and is crisp and clean and grand.

CubeSmart recently opened near our apartment and since we're moving out soon we decided to give them a chance. We did the online reservation since it offered a discount if you did. The morning of the reservation we received a friendly reminder call. When we arrived Pamela greeted us, she showed us our unit. We were on the fence about the size so she gave us some storage tips and took the time to show us other size units. We then did the paperwork, which wasn't too bad, Pamela made it interesting and we bonded over breakfast #chocolatechipwaffles.

It was my first time renting a self-storage unit and Krista was extremely welcoming, helpful, and informative. The service was quick, effective, and left me with a little less to worry about when moving a house-worth of stuff between one home, a storage unit, and the next home. Any question or concern I had about space or pricing was answered promptly and satisfactorily. Beyond setting up the rental, moving in-and-out was easy and intuitive. The unit itself was perfectly sized, secure, clean, and easy-to-access. If and when I need to store next, I shall be looking to CubeSmart!

When we showed up we were greeted by Pamela, who ended up helping us find and rent a unit. She was fantastic, answering all of our questions in detail and letting us leave with no worries. This location is wonderful. It is very clean, the units have lights INSIDE the actual unit itself, which is not common from my experience, and the location is in a good area. Very glad we went with this company and thank you Pamela!
