After about 22 years I am almost moved out! I have known Lisa since she signed me up when I graduated college. It was a struggle at first, but Lisa was so kind and would call if I was getting close to the payment date. I don’t think I have even been in it for about 10-15 years and everything was in the same condition. A little dirty and dusty (it has been 22 years), but no evidence of any rodents or any other issue. If you are looking, Lisa and Michael run a great business!

My Daughter stored her items in a unit here between August and January while she studied abroad. She purchased the lock from CubeSmart. Sometime during this period, the unit was broken into after having the lock picked, and over half her items were stolen. While the staff were upset for her - there was nothing they could do. But where's the security? We would not store items here again unfortunately. Find somewhere with indoor storage instead for added security.

Mike and Lisa were extremely helpful. They were transparent about their pricing and potential rent increases, (corporate decision) which I appreciated. Insurance is required, which can be purchased thru them, or independently. Your homeowners or renters policy may provide coverage as well. As far as the property, it is clean and well maintained. There's an app you can download to access and customize your account, as well use for gate access. Overall, a pleasant experience. Highly recommended! We rented a 10x14 unit.

Initially, I chose CubeSmart in Orange County, but wasn't satisfied with their service. Fortunately, I found a perfect CubeSmart location in SD. It's clean, secure, and offers easy access. What truly made the difference was the outstanding onsite management, Lisa. She guided me through the online registration, unit setup, and payment process. On moving day, Lisa greeted me warmly and even stepped in to direct my inexperienced movers on how to organize my unit effectively. We chose CubeSmart primarily for its location. It’s convenient for regular access. We got a ground level unit so we can easily load and unload the car right in front of the door. You have to get out of your car to enter the security gate access code, but the access hours to your storage are long enough. I didn’t price shop because location and easy access were the priority.

Was able to reserve my unit a couple weeks before I needed it at no charge. Was able to pay online and receive all the info I needed including my pass code by email. The facility is clean and well maintained. Lisa in the office was very informative! Only thing I was not pleased with is the additional fees that are added on that I had to purchase a lock from them, even though I already had my own. After posting my first review, Lisa from the office called me right away and offered to refund the money for the lock if I had my own to use! Talk about customer service! Wow! She was as sweet as could be….changing my review to 5 stars now!

I will be moving my stuff as soon as I find a different storage. Since this place has change over to Cube Smart nothing has worked out. They continually get our payment mixed up when we are on automatic payments and they have canceled the military discount. Not worth the hassle amd headache anymore. They need better management and customer service.

I like that the unit was a drive up made everything easy. I moved my new furniture house gadgets, and clothing into the unit. Everything was great until the next day I arrived with more thing yo store. I noticed ants all over my things. The storage was closed so I called customer service who informed me they couldn't get in contact with the store manager untol Monday. I was instructed to leave my items and purchase ant spray which I did. I removed everything out my unit to spray. That Monday I went back spoke with the manager and told her what happened. The manager stated “oh we always get ant around this time of the year. I have them at home too”. I said if you know there’s an ant problem shouldn’t that have been disclosed prior to me renting the space? The manager didn’t have much to say other than its normal and happens all the time around this time of the year. She did get one of the employees to spray so once again I had to remove everything out my storage. I asked him why didn’t you guys spray this before I rented. He had the same excuse as the manager around this time of the year we get a lot of ants even in the home. I called the corporate office to make a complaint he’s in the east coast so our times did not line up. He called once I was at work so I missed his call I called back several times left several messages but he never called me back. The gate remote almost never worked so I had to get out my car which is not a problem but you can’t tell a customer we have remote access while using the app but it never works. Lastly, one occasion I entered my code to get out the gate but the gate would not open. I had to exit the side door use that keypad in order to open the gate from the other side than run back through the side door to jump in my car and drive before the gate close back. Had I known I would have all these issues I would never had rented a storage at this place.

CubeSmart at Princess View in Allied Gardens/ San Diego is an excellent facility, "always" very helpful and friendly staff, very secure entrance gate, purchased a Baton Space Lock at front desk for very fair price, roll-up door was well maintained and worked perfect, light inside storage room was a plus, facility always clean, easy to drive in and out, and very clean restroom. The facility is nice. The bathroom was clean. The staff was helpful. My issue with the location is that they say they will receive packages for the unit during business hours and they refused my package. I was planning on keeping this unit for a while but after this month I will pull all of my items I am storing and move them elsewhere.

I have been a tenant at this facility for over 6 years now... No issues what so ever with the unit or the facility. Staff is always helpful when needed. Secure location. My only complaint is the hours for the gate, An 8pm closing time would allow me to come during the week vs weekends only due to my work hours. Not a deal breaker though!
