The staff is terrible!! We advised we would be moving out and needed a box brought in by Big Box Storage. On day of move Robin said we couldn’t leave the box next to our unit for 2 hours. Thank God the Big Box driver made it work for us.SmartCube has raised our rent several times. Do yourself a favor and call Big Box Storage! I’m sure you will be much happier

When this place was storage west spring valley I was paying $56.95 for a 5x5 (from 2015) ever since cubesmart bought them out , they’ve continued to raise their prices, now I’m paying $103 a month for a 5x5!!! Ridiculous, especially for a 5x5, moving my unit to something more convenient and bigger for less. Go woke go broke! Nonsense in paying that price.

Very bad facility, no camera around the storage area, no security available to check and monitor the facility, easy to breaks into the side doors, they break into my steel container and lost about $45.000 and management did not care about it and they increased my monthly rate almost double after I took them to court.

Jan & Feb 2024 Rain here in California closed my house to flood. It was under two feet of water. I went to cube smart to store my belongings during renovations.. one of my employees had some issues with cube smart and when they found out that she worked for me the day after I rented my unit there. And after I had already dropped off a truck load of my belongings they called me and told me that I had to move my things out immediately . I asked the person why! And she said because I know this person that they are having a problem with. I was inconvenienced plus my time was wasted. Just because an employee of mine was having problems with them. As of now I still have not had my payment refunded to me nor have I been compensated for my time and two of my employees time moving things into there site. I will never use cube smart or refer cube smart ever again.

This is clean and vector free site. Management is extremely efficient, kind and knowledgeable. Since Cubesmart took over the hours are extended from 6am to 10pm. Which is a bonus for my work schedule . The only downside I see, Is no trash cans for customers. But, that is minor. Better than the other places I've been over the last 20 years. Good pricing, also. The staff are excellent in all ways. The property is clean. The price is fair, but there is very little video surveillance on property. Locked storage containers had locks cut off 2x in last 90 days and replaced with locks of someone elses.

The ease of being able to do things online and with the location only being a few blocks from where I live was a plus. However, the interaction and phone calls with the manager really sealed the deal! This place is a cheaper place to get storage. Yes it's a little east, but how many times do you go to your storage unit anyways? Been here since 2013 or 2014. I thought I'd only do it for a few months but nope I have 3 units now. What's great is that u drive up to your unit door and walk down the hall to your wherever your unit in located. No stairs. The gates are open till 10pm. How amazing is that? It's clean and well lit. You do have to have your own flashlight within your storage space.They used to have rolling carts in each area to help u in the hauling, but nope people started stealing them so it doesn't work like that anymore. Also u used to be able to use a truck free of charge to Haul in goods. Not sure if they do that anymore. I took advantage of that benefit. Anyways that's why I like this space for storage! Now Cube Smart bought them out. The longer hours and great red paint job is the increase of monthly rent. Well worth it. Why junk up your garage? Many people pay for homeowners fees. I figure this is my homeowners fee to keep my garage cleaner. Keep my files outta my home office.

Jackie is definitely not my cup of tea. I had an issue before throwing away trash and fine I took it back with me. You got rules I get it. But throwing away a box and being denied access to the dumpster is ridiculous. Yes it was a big box equivalent to 3 large Home Depot boxes. Is that too much? The best thing about storagewest in Spring Valley is Jackie she's the absolute best kind friendly warm understanding flexible I have never seen someone work at a storage place who 110% above and beyond genuinely cares about each of her customers and we'll go out her way and fight for you if it's something you need and she has been consistent for the last six years I've been there she is the biggest reason why I stay there and she's actually the only person who I want to work. She gets the staff trained up and get some on board with a caring customer service approach the rest of the staff does a great job as well. If Jackie left I would leave in a heartbeat. The grounds are clean I haven't had any problems with rodents or thieves they're very helpful flexible and knowledgeable of how the business runs my only dislike is the gate closing at 6:45 I would feel more comfortable if something close a little later especially during summer or Daylight Saving hours.

I have been storing my stuff with storage West / CubeSmart and every six months it seems the increase the rent it's ridiculous. At first you make it sound like it's really really good deal which it is, then they start increasing the rent... then before you know it the charging you an arm and leg and a kidney store your stuff. I'm going to start looking for some other place to store my stuff and don't even get me started on customer service it could be nice. Man with the payment and I'll take both kidneys.

We had a unit there for about 2 years, maybe longer...the manager of the Spring Valley one is really nice and always helped us a lot. When we lost our jobs she was very understanding and kind to us, thank you, Jackie for everything. We love Storage West, my husband and I. They are great human beings the staff. God bless them.

The property's units have a wide variety of sizes and configurations. Reasonable rates. On-site resident management has been there for years, and they're very helpful. Layout means it's never been crowded. It's an easy/no problems solution for storage.
