Storage unit was great my favorite thing was using the app they had to pay the monthly rent and to use to access the gates to enter and to exit. It was simple and very easy to use. Vacating was simple as well, we called ahead of time to let them know we’re be leaving. You can give them up to two weeks notice that you’re moving out. So once moved out, the front desk easily lets you out and they do a check with or without you there. Then you’re good to go. Thanks again for the easy storage.

The owner and her female employee are consistently rude and intrusive. They troll around the place pretending to have countless reasons to walk into the specific hallway and drive by the storage I was renting, not just passing my storage but gawking in the most nosy and obnoxious manners. For instance on one occasion, the first time one of them walked by and said "oh I saw the door open and wasn't sure anybody was in here." As if the doors just open on their own. The second time she pretended that she was sweeping, even though there was absolutely zero debris in that hallway and says excuse me as she mock struggled to pass, as if I'm blocking her way when she had no reason to come into that area for the second time that day. She proceeded to let me know that it was creating a fire hazard. The third time she went by on her phone pretending she wasn't staring in again, trying to get a peep at what exactly I had in my storage and repeated that by having my stuff in the hallway, which I'm not really sure how to access the storage when I can't even take stuff out of it and place it outside of the door without being accused of creating a fire hazard when nobody else was there needing to pass, but her. They park inside of the gates right next to the office adjacent to the keypad where you enter your passcode to exit which makes it hard to exit if you have a wide vehicle when there's always unused parking spots right outside of the gates. All that said the place is like a lot of other storages in that they charge a lot of money but to be harassed while I'm using my storage and told that I have to get in and get out as fast as I can, when there's nothing in the paperwork that says that Im not able to organize my stuff at my storage. If not there then where? It really creates a hindrance to people trying to get things done to be harassed by people who have nothing better to do then haranguing people who indirectly pay their bills.

Office was closed when it should have been open. This was a time-intensive process as we were advised that someone was coming back to open the office. I ended up having to call in and complete the rental process online. Customer service representative was very helpful and I FINALLY found my unit.

So much misinformation given at the signing, didn't even care to call us when our unit flooded, they spread rat poison all over the dirty floor. Staff cars are always parked in the way at the entrance. Said they had a special discount going on, never received it, and then raised the rent over $70 a month after moving in. Our things were destroyed during flooding and reeked of rat poison and sewer. We moved into another storage unit that is spotless and half the price for the same size. Very disappointed in this company. Would never recommend to anyone.

I came back from deployment to find some of my Items had water damage and were dirty and ruined. no one was upfront about how items were damaged. No consideration for me being active duty military. Had some identity theft issues along with this no consideration given. Also facility dirty and very dusty on move in date.

Dirty facility, not just dust, but dirt! I was shocked how dirty an inside unit could get. Several of my items were ruined. I also received a call asking for another months rent. I was current and moved out days before the next month was due. They also wanted me to pay $18 for not notifying them that I moved out. I did notify several days before the actual move. The employees better get on the same page and have their facts straight before making calls to customers/ex customers. Also, rate increases were ridiculous.

They didn't need bolt cutters because they broke the metal plate that was screwed to wood. And the walls are thin. The overhead allows you to see what's inside other people's unit.

I have two storages not one but two. I'm having to clear one storage out and I'm giving things away to friends and family. The manager that is there, keeps stalking and telling my people they can't be there. The fact that she dosent not mind her business after we have told her multiple times that we are trying to clear the space, is concerning. I have 2 storages and I'm trying to clear one out. She's walking all the way to my storage to make rude comments ro my wife and it's absurd.

Got a 5x8x8 Storage from this facility from June 10 - August 25. 2022. Paid $388 for 2 months and 15 days. The storage unit we had B001J and it was not secure. There were openings around the edges of the storage. It look old and dirty. I did not think my things were very secure there, but we didn't have anything super valuable in there so we left it. Had 2 different points of communication with staff, once when leaving and once recently. I can't say I felt the interactions were good or professional. More like, condescending and short. The gates were open as they were supposed to be, we never had an issue accessing our unit. Maybe it's just the self-storage industry period.

Warning stay away from this business they don't believe in customer service Access gate was. Not working or the code wasn't set. Right got stuck inside gate for several hours in the heat of the day attempted to make several call to customer service and onsite manger wth no luck just the run around promising to have someone to call me back no one never did. Attempted to call again for the next two or three days still was given the run around with a bunch of empty promises apparently they do not want customers to be calling them. The prices are too high for the type of service they give. You guys should only be charging $10.00 a month instead of the high price you charge each month.

I am extremely disappointed in cube-smart. We have been a loyal customer for over 6 years with multiple (roughly 50-70+) storage units across the country. our business has lost tremendous amount of money because, district manager, Arthur Salaiz refuses to reply to many emails, phone calls, and messages sent by my partner and I. Since 12/18 we have sent 10+ messages, with only 2 replies via email after 18 days of my original email sent to Arthur and the property manager. I will reach out to corporate first thing Monday as well. At this point my partner and I will work closely on moving our units out of cubesmart to Public Storage and commit to never use cubesmart or refer cubesmart anywhere in the county. Thank you again Arthur for all the loss you have caused our business.

It’s a storage unit. No frills here. The manager was more than helpful and knowledgeable about the process when setting up the storage unit. My review of three stars is because this facility was less than empathetic to my credit card number being stolen while I was on deployment. I emailed multiple times to explain the situation and got no reply except “URGENT EMERGENCY PAYMENT NEEDED”. Luckily, my girlfriend was able to pay in my stead which I was more than thankful for. After looking at the bill, however, there is a 3.95$ phone courtesy payment. I find this to be ridiculous. 4$ In addition to the 100$ I already pay for the unit over the phone? Unbelievable. TL;DR Don’t expect any empathy for a missed payment no matter the circumstances, and don’t pay over the phone unless you want to pay an extra 4$ Every time.

The staff was nice but the facilities are not secure. My first unit latch was non functioning but it looked normal. Anyone could walk up and lift the door. I noticed after I had things stored for a week or so. The second unit they gave me was better but there was a gap in the cheap wall so anyone could stand in the hallway and peer in, and the material they built with is so flimsy you could rip it down and break in without much effort if you really wanted the contents. I never felt safe leaving my stuff there and the one camera I could see was just an empty case. I moved to a much better facility that’s got metal construction, a roll up gate, and climate control for $10 more a month for a larger unit.

But I'm very disappointed because I had half of my boxes stolen this past July and the insurance company they have assessing the cost of my lost property is quite incompetent or just thieving, thanks Great American. I usually don't like to write negative reviews, but this experience has been a nightmare because I have purchased what I had with a lot of effort and sacrifice to have it stolen so easily from a place that it's supposed to be safe. I will never get back everything that I lost, but I have already started to replace some of the things that I lost. I really don't trust the place anymore.

All the ladies in the office but especially the manager were always wonderful to work with. When I lost my job in 2019 they worked with me to assure me when I would incur late fees and how to pay what to not lose my unit. Then when Covid hit this year-they were so understanding and explained what options I had if I needed them as I was not sure if I could pay them; on time monthly-but I was able to do so. Even though the location for the last year and a half was not near me I kept my things at the place due to the ladies and the thoughtfulness, and attention to detail they always gave when speaking with me. If you are looking for a storage place, LOOK no further. I can only speak for myself. I had an emergency move and CubeSmart was my saving grace place! The timing was great, 1st month free! I have a very large unit and yes its expensive, but it is worth it. It holds my entire 3 bedroom HOUSE. The gate hours and office hours are great. As a woman I feel safe to drive right up to my unit, I go in and out of my unit daily. I must recognize Monica Fraga & Jae Mordelle for their outstanding Customer Service. If you call or go in and talk to these ladies, they will do their best to help you. I have a testimony that validates this! I know that everyone will not be satisfied and I get it, however I do recommend anyone that has a issue or complaint please see one of these ladies. But remember you must talk to them. These ladies do their job. In closing, I wish that I could give this CubeSmart at 9180 Jamacha Rd, Spring Valley 91977 a "8-STAR rating". No one is perfect and life has its moments, Monica and Jae will understand as long as its real and makes sense. CubeSmart ranks #1....

This morning I signed up for a new unit and it was a busy from the moment I walked into the office. Monica and Reuben juggled every situation with ease and took great care of me. Their smiling faces made my difficult situation less stressful and they helped me with everything I needed to get my storage unit. Whoever the lady is who works there frequently is absolutely as rude as can be. She called notifying me of my payment and towards the end of the call I was saying that I had a question to ask and she talked for 30 seconds over me. I repeatedly said "Can I ask a quick question?" My experience was beyond my expectations. My unit is huge and at a reasonable price. I worked with Lee although Monica was also helpful as she juggled her morning conference call. Lee took me to my storage and it was jammed so instead of saying hey I'll get that fixed for you . He said we have to fix this let's get you another unit. I completely appreciate it. I found CubeSmart using an internet search, it was the right price for my needs and was sent a reservation email from CubeSmart to confirm. The email did not include information that proof of Homeowner's Insurance would be required to avoid $12/mo charge. At the facility the manager said the charge could be removed when I provided that, but when I returned the next day, that was not the case. The next month would not be charged for insurance. Otherwise, the facility was clean and appeared very secure. The manager was friendly and tried to be helpful.

When the contract was done, and fees paid, there was some confusion about the costs as stated in my reservation. I was supposed to get the first month free. I sent Monica an email and got a call back from Lou who confirmed the error on their part and was asked to go back down to the office so that it can be fixed. *********** BE AWARE ************ I recently had my MASTER LOCK picked and storage unit broken into. If you must use this place, please double lock your unit and buy durable locks. If your storage unit is broken into, the INSURANCE will not reimburse you unless you show that your lock was broken or tampered with. So if you get your lock picked, cut it, break it, or do anything you can to show that it was tampered with or you're not getting any money. Also, the cameras their do not work during the night. The cameras are on, but do not pick up much and if your car's headlights are on they are going to distort the cameras. Apparently the manager there is aware of these break-ins but is not disclosing them or doing anything about it. PLEASE BE AWARE!!! USE ANOTHER STORAGE LOCATION EVEN IF IT COSTS A LITTLE MORE. STAY AWAY FROM THE TROUBLE AND THE PAIN.
