I wish I didn't have to leave a review like this, but the truth is the truth... snow removal could definitely be much better. There are too many icy areas throughout the facility. The property is on a slope and we had serious difficulty with traction in the uhaul truck and my personal truck with trailer, both vehicles had to take turns pulling each other off the icy spots when we left the facility near closing time last night. We have side by side units, and we're loading both and I slipped and fell on the ice between the units . It's a little incline between each unit all along each row, and there is still quite a bit of snow and ice . It made our move in thus far more time-consuming, due to having to be cautious trying not to slip and fall( which I ended up doing even though applying extra caution). Although the lady who is there during the day is very nice and pleasant to deal with, I will be letting her know that it is somewhat hazardous and needs attention. Hopefully I can raise my rating after we talk. Until then, I just wanted others to be aware and be careful if they are going to be at this facility moving in or out.

Donald Gorton was an absolutely excellent manager, kept the facility beautifully maintained and secure and made the last twelve years of storing at this location fantastic. The new managers, Leandra and Tiffany are truly wonderful as well. They are absolutely lovely, pleasant, and professional and offer awesome customer service. They are doing a great job and they are great people. I will continue to recommend Cubesmart to anyone and everyone I meet. Great work. The Cubesmart locations at 1800 Chambers, 4th and Sable and Altura Boulevard are all FANTASTIC. Excellent managers, terrific service, clean, well maintained facilities. The Cubesmart call center is amazing as well!!! Great customer service. ***However: Avoid the Location on Warren Avenue. Ed Honea, the manager at Warren Avenue is extremely unpleasant and actually trapped three cars full of customers in the yard for 53 minutes on purpose one night. Refused to accept a full rent payment to get a unit out of auction status, which is against company policy and as a result a young lady lost all of her belongings and memories including her late brother's ashes. Ed's behavior is disgraceful.***

I just reserved a unit as I am moving cross country. Money is tight right now so costs are a big concern. I encountered multiple hidden fees I was not told about over the phone. By the time I was done, I paid double what I thought I was going to pay. Pretty disappointing and frustrating.....

Wow! I just want to give credit to 2 amazing Employees at the Cube Smart at 1800 S Chambers!!! Don and Dave are amazing!!! Their customer service is exemplary!! I have rented storage space at that location since February 2013. Working with these 2 guys has been an incredible experience! They are always willing to go the extra mile, like clearing snow and ice and putting rock salt down when I have needed to come to storage on inclement days!!! The rest room in the office has always been clean and tidy. When I needed to downsize to a smaller unit, it was a breeze. Thank you CubeSmart and thank you Don and Dave!!!!

My family has been storing at the Cubesmart Self Storage at 1800 South Chambers Rd for nearly 10 years now and we have referred all of our friends, coworkers and clients. The customer service is fast and phenomenal. Don and Dave are friendly, gracious, knowledgeable, efficient and truly pleasant and enjoyable to talk with. They return calls quickly, offer excellent advice and accurate assessments of how much space you'll need. They go above and beyond to clear snow and ice from in front of units and keep the yard safe, clean and secure. They regularly walk the yard to ensure units haven't been tampered with and patrol the yard after hours and at night for security. And the fact that they are both delightful to talk with makes the otherwise nightmarishly unpleasant experience of moving much less stressful. Thank you, Don and Dave for your outstanding service, and thank you Cubesmart Self Storage.

The people here are really great. They went above and beyond when I got into a tough spot and worked with me over and over again. I feel like these days it's usually a "we're sorry, there's nothing we can do" mentality. But The management at cube smart didn't behave that way at all. Hard to find decent people it feels like in today's retail world. But these folks are a diamond in the pile of needles. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know.

I've had a unit here for about a year and a half now, and it's certainly been the best experience with a storage facility that I've ever had. This is almost entirely due to the manager, Don, who lives on site. He's extremely helpful and friendly, and he always greets me by name, even though I only stop by my unit once a month or so. One time I was there late at night and accidentally left something outside my unit when I closed it. When I realized it later, I figured it must have been thrown away, but sure enough, the next time I dropped by, Don said, "Oh, I have your ___ (whatever it was) in the shed. You left it out the other night!" Outstanding service! Thanks, Don.

We are in the process of selling our home and having a new one built. We already had a unit at this location to store items we moved out to get out home "show ready". We accepted an offer on our home and needed a larger unit to store our larger household items until our new home is ready. I stopped in and talked to Don about getting a 10x30 unit. He stated he had one available but there were no special offers. He got on his computer and found a unit at another Cube Smart location that offered half off for the first month. I decided that the convenience of having both units in the same location outweighed any special offer. Don took care of setting up the new units payment processing in seconds. I recommend this location as the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful! We had a promotion offer for the first month free. There was some computer system difficulties in getting this promotion to show up after I was given the monthly military discount. Don the general manager didn't give me an excuse like most establishments would and fought for us to get both discounts. He even came out to our unit to make sure we were settled in fine. The service was simply amazing. I wish more organizations could follow their lead.

As a refugee escaping a positively horrible experience at Public Storage, I can't express what a godsend Cubesmart Self Storage has been! My family now stores at three different Cubesmart locations, all with beyond excellent customer service and outstanding management. I have referred everyone I know for both their personal and professional storage needs. I've worked in customer service for about 15 years now, and value and appreciate excellent customer care immensely. Do yourself a favor-- give these folks a call and leave the filthy crooks at Public Storage in the dirt where they belong. When I was calling around comparing rates at various storage facilities five years ago, it was Don Gorton's warm, pleasant, and friendly approach on the phone that first drew me to Cubesmart. He found me the right sized unit at the best price, listened to my Public Storage horror story and arranged for me to move in immediately. Upon arrival, I was immediately taken with how clean and beautifully maintained the facility, garden and grounds were, and by Don's delightful, professional reception and service. Both Don Gorton and Ashley Rogers go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and to provide pleasant, kind rent reminders and offer a friendly, funny and personal approach. When my friends and family have needed storage units closer to home, Don has on numerous occasions gone so far as to not only recommend other Cubesmart locations, but to personally contact them and ensure that we find what we are looking for. Nost of my visits to my storage unit occur in the late evening, and I always see Don out checking the lot to ensure site safety and security, and even after-office-hours, he always greets us with the same warm smile and great conversation. Don and Ashley always make a point of taking an interest in each customers interests and needs, and seem to recognize every customer's voice on the phone and regard them in a friendly and upbeat tone.
