After arriving at a different CubeSmart location with my first load for storage, the front doors locked and no one answering the phone. I drove to this location about 5 minutes away. Closing this account was a complete nightmare. I sent multiple emails and called countless times before finally reaching someone. The manager was extremely rude and blamed me that the email I sent was when "the internet was not working" or the calls were when "the phone line was not working". I had money stolen from me for months for a unit I was not using. I cannot believe how unprofessionally this location is being managed.

Never ever rent a Penske truck for pick up from this location. We checked with the woman at the counter a few days ago to confirm our reservation and to make sure our truck would be here for us on moving day. Moving day is here and our truck is NOT HERE. The woman was about to give us a 12 foot when we ordered a 16 foot ummm NOOOO we are moving across country. All she did was laugh at me. Not okay. If this place is going to offer people the choice to pick up a truck then they must understand the stress people are in on moving day. She did NOTHING to help us. Totally useless. If I could give this no stars I would. Nuff said

I will never ever rent here. Good thing my experience was not renting here. The manager was rude from the very beginning when we met after spending 1700 dollars on two units. Started screaming at me for taking a picture of the property. If anyone wants a safe and comfortable storage you should go to rocky mountain storage or mod box I ha e multiple units at both and have never had issues in comparison.

Terrible service for anyone renting a Penske vehicle from here. First off, they are parking by the exit of the complex so you have to walk through weeds and unmowed land to get to the vehicle for its inspection. After that, then walk back in and finish their checkout process. It’s a big pain and adds another 30 minutes to your day when you pick up and the another 30 minutes to drop off. Again, if your renting a Penske vehicle from this location - just don’t.

This has to he one of the worst storage companies out there. For years; they took payments over the phone. Then they said payments cannot be taken over the phone unless we came in and signed some agreement. I did that. Two months later; they are saying payments cannot be taken over the phone at all. Not to mention, they have raised the rates 5 times in 8 months. Today when I called; the first six times, someone picked up the phone, would not talk and immediately hung up. The 7th time; when I told them about this, excuse after excuse started pouring out of their mouth like vomit. Not even an apology. The "lady" I spoke to; if you want to call her that accused me of being rude because I was frustrated with the first 6 calls, her ridiculous excuses and the fact that she would not take my payment. She said she can't because it's nit a secure line. I asked her if it was the same line they have had for the last year. She said yes. I said okay; you took my payments over the phone until last month, why stop now? She blamed it on the Manager and said she is just an employee. I said regardless of position; you are all cubesmart to me and with your poor representation, you are making it difficult to be a customer. She did not care. Now I see they are offering 25% off. Too bad they don't value current customers enough to offer us this.

Overall I had a fantastic experience- the staff was friendly, the unit and grounds were spotless. In the end- I missed my move out deadline (due to a personal mix up) and was auto charged another month. The manager followed up with me two days later and offered to refund that month, and only charge for the two days, if I was able to remove my items and lock that day. I was blown away at her offer as it was my mistake and I fully expected to be charged for the full month Even tho I didn’t need it. Will absolutely use this facility again if needed, they exceeded my expectations in every way.

I just moved out of my cube smart storage and as of yesterday because I finally moved into a new apartment and didn't need them anymore but for future reference if I ever need to move in to and other place or need a storage unit they're the ones that I'm going to use excellent staff most friendly clean great facility all the way around I highly recommend them for Anybody that needs a storage facility even if it's for A-day or for 10 years it does not matter these guys are very professional this place is very clean all together all the way around a great experience

Charged me for a 10×10 for almost a year and only had a 5×10 . When asked to correct it didn't even get a month free a very small discount. Then when paying my bill in person was told to swipe my card several times causing a 10 day hold and were not willing to keep my things out of auction. So had to pay twice this cubesmart only wants to sell your belongings or over charge you. Steer clear!

Andrea was so accommodating when it came to us needing to short notice reserve a spot for our boats and extra things! She made moving from out of state alot less hassle, since we can use one of their trucks for just $10 to bring everything over, instead of a million little trips with our little car! The Aurora, CO location on Havana has been the best place, ever, for storage! Reservation was a bit sketchy on the first, only got one call early in the afternoon, while i was at work. So wasn't sure if i lost the unit or what was going on. Well the next morning the General Manager called me and confirmed my reservation, when i arrived late, 5:05 late, that afternoon i was still greeted with a smile and offered a fresh cup of coffee.

The manager is amazing. She goes over and beyond. She keeps the property clean and you always see her making improvements. She cares and takes pride in her work. When I first got me unit it was a Sunday and I got lost and hit traffic. She was way more than understanding, she waited 50 minutes after they closed on a Sunday. It meant a lot because I was coming from out of town and she cared enough to wait for me. Thanks

The general manager Veronica, in conjunction with the property owner were inexplicably rude from the start. The managers I initially spoke with were excellent and knowledgable. When I was ready to move my property into storage, I was discouraged from resting on the property until I made repeated explanations that I would be fulfilling my reservation as soon as my partner arrived. If terrible customer service is not enough to deter your business, there were repeated security issues that occurred and went unresolved in an alarmingly untimely manner. I would suggest not taking children onto the property as the system for locking units and exiting codes are concerning. By my estimation, this business is more concerned about chastising paying customers than they are concerned for human beings whether it be their returned business, personal safety or the safety of one's cherished property. I recommend Public Storage any day.

Overpriced storage. Had to change my access code 4 times because their system often deletes my access code. In the winter their key pad freezes which leaves you locked in, or out. Management is responsive, and will help out. However ownership doesn't keep systems up to par ai this place is severely overpriced.

They say that they will try to help our experience, but when even the simplest things are completely ignored... nice try. How about not charging us more without prior notice, or using some of the rapingly high prices to fix the keypad so one could actually read it? How about actually keeping security cameras working and aimed where they are supposed to be? Maybe bring back the dumpster so we can have somewhere to put a little bit of trash instead of having to haul every little coffee cup out? At least the grounds are clean and the employees are friendly when you walk in. But when it changed hands, it went down fast. Getting out as soon as we can afford it...

I'm updating my review now that I've been using Neighborhood Self Storage for nearly eight months. My experience overall has not been terrible, but I have a couple of complaints and have ultimately decided that the hassle of moving to a new storage facility is worth getting out of this place. I want to start by saying that the woman at the front desk has always been really helpful and patient and funny, and she's basically the only reason I'm giving a second star. My "job" is very non-standard and as a result I am usually unreachable by phone during daytime hours, so I try very hard to find businesses that make it easy to conduct my activities at my own convenience. This includes being able to pay bills online, having 24-hour access to the product or service, and being able to contact people via text or email, among other things... You get the idea. NSS started out alright; aside from closing gate access way too early (8pm) they are mostly deserted during the day and they at least made it possible for customers to pay their bill online. However, their one redeeming quality vanished when they were taken over by a new company a couple of months ago, and in addition to raising the rent and raising the price of their late fees, you now have to call or come in to pay your bill. This, for me, is a fatal flaw because my procrastination habits are the stuff of legend and I'm highly forgetful. So now the situation is: forget to pay bill, remember at 2am when I'm already four days past due, unable to pay bill online, forget to call/asleep/working during business hours, still can't pay bill online, get slapped with a late fee that costs more than my monthly rent, etc etc. I was also locked inside the facility once after hours, and there is no way to let yourself out or get ahold of anyone to unlock the gate, which is a business decision that I do not understand at all and question highly. So, yes it is my fault I forget to pay the bill, but not being able to pay it in any kind of convenient way is for me a problem big enough to warrant taking my business elsewhere.

The staff is great. The property is always clean. The new owners bought CubeSmart that was this location with no notification. Then they raised my monthly fee by $65! They didn't even send a letter, an email, phone call nor a text.. they just acted like it didn't matter and I need to comply. If my wrist hadn't been crushed I would've moved out. That raised my rent by 75%. It's a nice place but the new owners seem shady. That's just not good business.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the staff at Neighborhood Self Storage. I rented with them since they opened and I was very satisfied. There was a brief time that another company had taken over. I immediately saw a difference in how they treated me. It was horrible. The billing was always a mess and the employees were really rude. Cubesmart I think it was, didn't last long and thank goodness the original company (Neighborhood/Monica) took back over! I would always see the employees outside cleaning and working. On hot days, they offered me cold water! I liked that the storage locker had an alarm!! I forgot to put my lock back on one time and got a call right away from the store. The lady was so nice! ( I think it was, Trisha??) I did have some a problem with the bill that was caused by the previous company and Monica got me in touch with her Manager right away. I spoke to the Regional Manager, Michelle. Just WOW! A job well done!! Michelle made sure I was taken care of and was very friendly to deal with. I would highly recommend this location. The prices are very reasonable and they take really good care of you. I will send them many referrals. Great Job Neighborhood Self Storage and Thanks Ladies!!

Not the friendliest staff. Whenever I speak to anybody but Mike, I feel like I'm inconveniencing them. Whether it's going in the office or speaking to them on the phone, they are never friendly and make me wonder how much they must hate their jobs. I'll admit, I have been "late" paying most of the time (but within my grace period still) and have been called for payment often, but this was mainly due to the inability to log in and pay my bill online. Their online portal is unlike most other sites where you can request a password change if you can't log in with it, so that wasn't an option. I don't always have time to sit down and call the facility to pay my bill and I work retail, so getting into the office during normal hours to pay isn't exactly easy either. I mentioned not having online access to just about everyone I ever talked to and only this last time a few days ago did the person on the phone offer to look into it, but not before he threateningly told me that unless I signed up for autopay, they were no longer going to be able to take payment over the phone. Only after I explained how I would LOVE to pay for my unit on time online, but cannot get logged in did he lose some of the attitude. Turns out my original passcode was incompatible with their online system, so it needed to be changed, which in turn changes my gate code to get in to the facility. Annoying, but whatever, I guess I'll manage. When trying to use their gate code pad, that is unreadable due to the screen being mostly blacked out, it gets interesting as well. I tried several times using what I thought was the right codes, but had to go inside to ensure the gate/passcode change from previously wasn't the issue. The staff is not helpful on this front either and will just tell you "don't read the pad, just enter your info". I'm supposed to just *know* which combination of numbers and symbols to use, I guess. No hours posted anywhere that I could find that tells you hours you're able to access your unit (not online anywhere and not visible at the site itself that I could see). Imagine my surprise when I pulled up at 8:45pm one evening to quickly drop some items off and found they were closed already! Again, working retail, this is highly inconvenient. Each time dealing with the rude, unhelpful staff I'd tell myself I'd switch to another facility. But then I'd talk to Mike and remember why I started there. He's probably the only good thing about that place (and the reason for the two star instead of one) I was able to find another facility, closer in proximity to my home at almost half the price. And the friendliest staff. As much as I was all for supporting the small guy, I'm tired of dealing with rude staff.

Auction Buyers Beware!!!! Bought an online auction, the pictures they posted were completely different then the unit itself. Everything was gone thru and in different locations, items completely missing. Manager and district manager were extremely rude and wouldn't do anything, said it's "buy at your own risk," Not true, they misrepresented the unit they were selling! That is fraud! Taking them to court, we'll see what happens! In the meantime, beware of what you buy at their online auctions!

Cube smart on Havana is wonderful! James Rogers is the manager, and he is active and polite with his clients. He was able to assist us with our exit, and he whole process was easy and simple. We stored our valuables here while we were in the process of purchasing a home. The facility is extremely safe and well lit, even in the evenings. We had zero issues with any damage to our belongings because of the security and cleanliness of the facility. The auto pay option is convinent and the email reminders are handy. I love that the key code to enter the facility reminds you when your next bill will come out. Five out of five starts for awesome customer service and management. The prices are great also for such a top notch nice location.
