The front desk clerk, Antonio, was helpful and friendly. However, upon my moving out and discovering that rodents had chewed a hole in my sectional couch, he said he forgot to mention that I should not store any landscaping products like topsoil in my unit. I had the protection plan but apparently that only covers theft or water damage. They would not refund any of my money and my claim on the protection plan was denied.

The staff here at this location has been so very kind, helpful and very professional in the 1.5 yrs that I have used this storage facility. They have had to accommodate my different situations during the loss of both my mom & sister by having to switch units & other requests. They sometimes had to give me a reminder call or repeat things to me. They went out of their way to always treat me very well and make sure I was doing okay. Ripped me off when I moved out. Gave notice I would be moving out and paid my bill only to be told I didn't need to pay all of it, only needed to pay the pro-rated days. This was not explained to me when I gave notice and was told I cannot get a refund! $279 loss!!!

Do not use long term. Check your storage weekly. Being an OTR truck driver for some time I packed my belongings here at this highly rated storage facility. I've recently set roots again. Upon sorting my belongings in my new place I find many items missing. It feels as if my storage unit was used as a free shopping locale. I don't know how or by whom but my items are gone. The one item that hurts the most is a hand woven afghan by my late grandmother.

This has been the cleanest, best maintained storage facility we've ever used! The two people running this are so helpful, kind and quick to get us taken care of and on our way. We would definitely use this facility again! Thank you Luanna, (sorry I didn't get the man's name that works with her), he was great and helped us with a storage door that was sticking from the ice and snow one day. Also he was just as quick and knowledgeable in helping us rent an extra unit!

The staff is a delight to work with! I have had to be out of state for going on 4 yrs. 1st helping my dad recover from hip surgery; we lost him in less than 2 yrs of the surgery. Then have had to help with care for my mother. I have VA Disability Compensation partial at the moment, & have had to help keep things going here especially when medications are due, as well as many other bills. Needless to say, I am behind on my pmts often. They go out of their way to help me & are understanding of my situation. Awesome people to work with, & am grateful & blessed To work with them! She even let us try out a couple units to ensure it was long enough to fit a kayak before signing a contract. They give a military discount also, which is a bonus. Decent rates, but the lady who works in the office really needs to work on her customer service skills. I can't even count the number of times I've gone in to pay and witnessed her yelling at customers. Your job is customer service. If you cannot exercise the patience necessary to treat each customer with respect, maybe this is not the job for you.

I was pleased at availability and ease of reserving unit online. I reserved my unit late night for the next day and received a call in the morning from the onsite representative Robert confirming my reservation to come in that day. Robert explained the business contract extremely well. He commented when we were setting up my insurance that the company I use has exceptional customer service. I agreed and stated the company raised the bar on customer service standards that I find myself being let down by others who don’t meet it. I shared with Robert that I was relieved by his customer service that lived up to that standard. He is very emphathetic to the stresses of the moving processes. At that point I reflected truely how stressed I had been because of the unexpected obstacles that kept arising. The completion of my out of state move and storage of items was a grand finale thanks to Robert and this company. By the way, the property is easily accessible in my neighborhood, great security, wide lanes for accessing units, clean units with active pest control measures... Thank you!! The good guys need a win every now and then.

Due too Ms. Poer fast action of resolving my storage issue, I was able to have my furniture safely delivered & stored come my delivery day! Thank you, thank you! She is a great person! I still give her a 5+ star & excellent review! I am still disappointment with the NO military discount issue for veterans but only active duty in which I find ridiculous! Watch out Veterans! My rating will continue to stay the same.

They have 24 hour surveillance, car ports to store vehicles, and one way access via a security code. You can only access the compound by knowing your PIN code and storage unit. They also take your picture when signing up to verify who actually has access to your unit. All in all, really good service. Also, they are open until 10pm at night!!!

Rates went up, we weren't notified. Went in and spoke with Manager and Asst Manager. They said next month they would lower the rent for the mistake. Next month comes along, no discount, go in and they remember me, but say, sorry we aren't going to do it. I have been here 8 years and paid on time. Gave notice, will not deal with LIARS and THIEFS1!!!! Run the other way!!!!

The management company for this facility really pissed me off when they did not set my account up for automatic payments, when I asked if they could do so. Subsequently, I had to go though the embarrassment of being denied access to the facility and having a lock placed on my unit (when I thought that everything was set up appropriately). It has been years since I have not paid a bill and my credit score is >800, so I am was very upset about this. Additionally, they charged me a $40 late fee on a $100 unit. They did not even give me a call or email! To make matters worse, the units garage door does not tract correctly and fell off the tract onto my head after enduring this embarrassment. I have since moved to Fountainhead Storage and am getting a much larger unit for less money and the management is much more friendly!This single star that this place gets is for the grounds keeper, who is extremely chatty but very pleasant ( I wish the rest of the staff was as accommodating as her).

I have used the American Mini Storage facility on Amherst Street for about two years. They have been excellent so far! American Mini Storage has a good number of large storage spaces (longer than 20'), so if you have a lot of stuff, consider them!
