Used this place for two years. I thought it was a secure storage facility as it certainly wasn’t the cheapest. Looked like units were in good condition, paint etc. and it seemed like a safe spot. WRONG. Got a call from the manager last month telling me it appeared somebody had broken into our unit. Dropped what I was doing and rushed over to find out somebody had sawn through our lock and stolen over $10,000 in custom wheels and tires. Not happy! I had hoped that at least their camera quality would have allowed the Colorado Springs police to, at a MINIMUM, get a license plate or identify basic characteristics of the criminals. Their Camera quality was SO poor that they basically were no assistance at all to the police department. Not surprisingly, CubeSmart was completely unapologetic. They stated over and over that it wasn’t their fault. They aren’t responsible. Blah blah blah. Then these clowns sent me a rate increase notice of an extra $40 per month. So if you guys want to pay between $150-$200 per month for a 10 x 10 unit with terrible security, support but high fees go for it. I’d say avoid these guys like the plague if you care about your stuff at all.

Still not turned off!!!!!!! I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY It's SOOO DIFFICULT TO WALK YOUR ASS to the LIGHT SWITCH and TURN the FOOKEN THING OFF!!!!!!! I live directly behind the storage facility On January 22nd I called this facility to advise them that one of the motion lights that's directly in my face in my bedroom is malfunctioning and now stays on all the time it doesn't go off like it's supposed to I called two or three times for that to be fixed and it still is not. I'm attaching pictures of the day that I asked for it to be fixed and the picture of it tonight while it is still shining in my face in my bedroom all night long somebody needs to do something about this I'm tired of asking again.

I was having a hard time with my gatecode at the cubesmart facility. After a couple failed attempts, Kelly walked up to me and asked me if I needed help. I showed him the email I had that had my gate code and unit number. He enthusiastically offered for me to step into the office so he could check up on my storage, as I had driven to the wrong location, and the other locations office was close. Kelly double checked that everything I needed was set up, and explained to me the best route to get there. It was a very smooth, helpful, and encouraging experience . Thank you Kelly

The manager, Kelly, is EXTREMELY personable and helpful. My elderly mother had rented the space online and when we arrived to use the storage unit for the first time it was close to 10pm. We were having trouble using our code at the gate so we called the customer service number. They weren’t able to help us gain access so they reached out to Kelly at this late hour and HE WAS AVAILABLE!!! Not only did he take our call, but he walked us through the issue (we were at the keypad for the CubeSmart next door to his) and stayed on the phone until we had successfully entered the facility. He even took the time to guide us to the unit and help us find the welcome bag in the unit before he hung up. Also, the unit itself was SPOTLESS!!! We even received a BEAUTIFULLY written Thank You card in the mail. THANK YOU SO MUCH Kelly for making this the best experience renting a storage unit EVER!!!

A spot for SUV with small trailer was reserved. Upon arrival, we found out the reservation was confirmed, without checking if indeed a spot was available. Our vehicle was parked in the driveway between storage units, we were not too pleased, but we had to make it work. When we returned 12 days later, we found out the buildings were being renovated/painted. We wish our SUV had been parked elsewhere. Thank you to whoever put a plastic cover. Unfortunately, it already had dust and rocks on the roof and hood, with the wind blowing, it made the cover rub on the vehicle, damaging the paint. Edit: so I’m 4months late on the update to the owner’s reply. Within 15 minutes of the reply, an email was sent as per request. Still waiting on a follow up.

Since the new manager Kelly showed up the entire yard has been cleaned up, organized, maintained and paid attention. He has been very friendly and willing to help with all of our questions. We've been storing our RV here for more than 2 years. The plus on this lot is that it is close in, easy to get to on a major road, and you don't have to drive way out of town to get to your RV.

I was concerned when CubeSmart took over the storage yard that I had been using, but the new manager Kelly is fabulous. He takes much better care of the facility than was done before and is really on top of things there. Kelly is a pleasure to deal with. Went to move our stuff out and discovered everything was wet and covered in mold. We had made the property manager aware that there was a small leak in the corner of the unit when we first moved in, and he said they would fix the roof right away. They obviously never did, and the small leak became multiple major leaks. Mud and water came under the door when it rained and there are huge water stains running down the walls. There is black mold growing on the walls. We called the property manager 3 times, as no one is ever in the office and they refuse to return our calls. We had a nice wood office cabinet that is ruined, and boxes of personal items covered in mold.
