Do not rent a unit here unless you want your possessions stolen. Drive around the facility and look to see how many cut locks or broken doors there are. We needed temporary storage in between moves and I’m left with a grainy video of 3 people cutting the thin metal door hinges for easy access. Homeless people are finding ways inside of the building, so I wouldn’t trust the inside units either. If you have an outside unit, it’s not if but when you will be robbed. Please do yourself a favor and do not rent space here.

Signed up online, as they advised, to get the best deal. Received multiple confirmations via text and email, packed my car full for the first load and headed to this location to claim my reservation today. I went to open the front doors but they were locked. I peered inside and saw someone at the desk who saw me and I’m sure heard the doors clatter, then she turned her back and went into an office and closed the door. I took a step back, and mixed with the various signage on the door was a “will return at 2pm” sign. It was just a little passed 1. So, I tried to the call but no one answered. I replied to my confirmation text which said “Jeremy, this is Anna with Cubesmart. Please let me know if you have any questions about the move in process or if you no longer need the space-Anna”, no response to my text either. After about 10 minutes of no response from any source I located a different Cubesmart about 5 minutes away and went there where I was greeted immediately and had a storage unit inside 10 minutes. Went from being ignored to 5 star service.

On Sun, 12/31/23 three separate customers looking for moving carts AND THERE WERE NONE. One woman used a wheelchair to move items. I have 2 units. Three years ago there were 8 carts. Management will say they are stolen as this facility is in high crime area.

Just wow! ?? Having been in the military, I've used plenty of storage places in my time. I was extremely impressed not only with the facility but, most importantly, the staff. I did not have an appointment. I was a walk-in. I saw their rates online and wanted to see a visual. Brandon was the first person I met, and it was instant and perfect customer service. Like he was a long-lost cousin. Not only did he take time to answer each question, but he was extremely patient and friendly. I gotta chance to watch both Brandon and Oliver interact with various customers that came in and out while I was doing the paperwork. Everyone had a smile when they left. Considering how stressful moving is, a smile goes a long way. I've used the facility at night while solo and felt safe. Very well lite, clean and easy to access as a customer. Please keep your staff!!!!

This Cube Smart was extremely dirty all the time. There was seldom carts available and we were on the third floor. We often had to walk around piles of trash. On top of that the price was high and they raised it after six months. It took me 10 minutes to find the same sized unit for half the price just blocks from this one. Run away!

This area has become so terrible and rundown so for them to try and raise my rent to 200$ for a 10x7.5 unit it seemed ridiculous . The climate control always way off for the time of year and never was actually working and the building was always dirty looking and doors were broken and homeless people just walking in and out

There were three rate hikes for my unit in less than two years. Additionally several transients live in their storage units, this caused an odor to attach to my upholstered furniture. There are always missing carts to help you move items to and from your unit, at most about two for the entire building. You will be waiting around until one becomes available. Seems like with the rent increases they should be able to afford more than two carts for this number of units. I rented a unit here several years ago and the facility was cleaner and more affordable so that's why I returned. This most recent experience was not good.

the staff at The Hampden address are “fart in the bathtub and giggle at the bubbles” dumb. No customer service to speak of. be ready to be included in inner office politics anytime you speak with them….what a nightmare. Storage should be drop your stuff off come and go as you please when you want to pick stuff up drop stuff off no issues but don’t count on that here. Restrooms aren’t made available. You have to ask them for a key vs using a unit code (same as you use to enter the building) and it’s expensive. Also they let certain people live in their storage units sure she’ll be ready for that 24 hour access to burglarize yours if they want Find another place!!!!

Whereas I am not very fond of the price here at CubeSmart for the size unit I have, only because I have friends who have the same size units elsewhere on the ground floor for about $100 cheaper. I was given two delinquent notices for being late on my payment and Shawn at CubeSmart where I store, was very helpful he was very efficient at what he did for me he explained to my payment breakdown my due dates and all of that etc. He was quick and efficient. Can't say enough about the service over the past 3 years from Shawn. We rented multiple units, simultaneously from this location because of how clean and presentable the condition of the property was kept due to the efforts of Shawn and Mary. We even kept a unit there when we moved further away because of the service. Lastly, above all, Shawn is a good, good dude that really cares about the work he does. Shawn Robinson is a great manager place is always clean. He works hard to keep this place to where it is, better than any other facility I’ve been to. They are lucky to have him.

This place used to be awesome when Shawn used to be here. I've been a customer for probably 7 years now, and since that guy left, things slowly just got awful. The place is always a dump, people's furniture and garbage are always right in the doorway, the windows are busted out, there's people living in units, trash is everywhere, the keypad always has snot or something in the buttons, lol, if you're late on payment, it doesn't matter what day you pay it on, the lock will still be on the next day or the next. The staff is friendly enough, it's the whole state of the place and experience. It's really annoying. Probably will be finding a new spot next month. UPDATE 5/26/24 After nearly 8 years, I was late 30 days one single time. Had to pay $420. Needless to say, I paid it and found a better place with security, twice the size and a little over half what I was paying here. Longevity being a longtime customer made no difference.

It was so convenient that we could use the moving truck that they offer as well, then we didn't have a rent a UHaul or anything. Shawn called shortly after I reserved a rental space online and was very nice and informative in explaining everything about the rental process and fully answered all my questions. I was able to complete the reservation online and was quickly emailed a map and all the instructions I needed to access my unit. When it came time to move in, I was pleasantly surprised at how secure and clean everything was. The large flat carts and oversized elevators made moving lots of stuff to the second floor a breeze. We are really happy we rented a space here, to store all our possessions during a prolonged move, and we feel secure knowing everything will be safe (lots of cameras, good locks, and person specific security codes) and it is climate controlled. I highly recommend this place.

I have been using this Cubesmart location for about 3 years now and I have never had a single problem. I can't say that about any other storage facility I have ever used in the past. The main reason that this location has been superior to the others has been the staff that manages it on a daily basis. Shawn and Mary keep the place clean and are always there to help when needed. I frequently have things delivered for my business and they have always made it an easy transition. There have been multiple time that Shawn and Mary have help facilitate the delivery of my packages and have kept them safe for me until I could come grab them. Honestly everyone here has been super friendly and professional. I've been a long-time customer here using my unit everyday for my tools. Shaun Robinson has always been the man with the plan. Always eager to help if I need it, always professional and always super easy to get along with. It's tough to find that these days. Speaking of these days, these hard working employees such as Shaun deserve the recognition for how hard they serve the customer base. It's raise time if you ask me. And at least another buck an hour. It is 2020. 25 cents doesn't really so anyone any good these days. Thanks Shaun for your help and expertise.

Unfortunately, I can’t give a very positive review of my experience with cube smart. After renting a storage unit for only five months I randomly got a notice that the rent was going up by more than 10%. I called the facility and asked if I could downsize. I spoke with the manager, James, who said that I could “transfer” my lease to a smaller unit, no problem. I was told there wouldn’t be any issues and no administrative fees because I was already a renter. However, when I got to the facility on the day of my scheduled move, the employees had a terrible time actually making the switch. The paperwork wasn’t processing in the computer and I had to wait while the employees tried to figure out the issue. They kept telling me the “system” was delayed and it was an issue with “corporate”. Then, even though I was downsizing to a cheaper unit AND had an $81 credit from the rent on the larger unit, I was told that I OWED money. I asked how that was possible if I had a credit and the employee said it was because of the $24 administrative fee!!! I explained that I was told that there wouldn’t be an administrative fee because I was just transferring, but they said that it was not a transfer, it was a new lease and they didn’t know who told me otherwise (a/k/a the Manager). So even though I was downsizing and even though I had a $81 credit and even though the admin fee was $24, I some how had to PAY MORE MONEY. I am very disappointed and still don’t understand.

Clean, adequate number of transport carts/flats. The flats move and manuever well, tho sometimes they get away frim me. Two entrances, elevator by each entrance, and elevator has worked every single time I've been there. Important if your unit is on the first floor! Decent lighting, not overly bright. Only recommendation I would make is to paint arrow in central aisle on 2nd & 3rd floors, pointing to front and back elevators. It's easy to lose sense if dirwction when the halls and doors look alike.

Shawn and Mary in the office are awesome! They’ve always been super friendly, helpful, and I’ve walked away with a smile after every interaction. Shawn, especially, is a character. One of the reasons I love CubeSmart (other than it being safe, clean, and secure) is due to their onsite moving truck that you can rent for pennies on the dollar in comparison to UHaul. Shawn made sure my boyfriend (who was standing outside since there’s only one person at a time in the office due to COVID) was helping me with my move and offered to “talk to him like an uncle would” if he didn’t carry his weight ?? Denver is a big city with a lot of transplants, which means family isn’t necessarily close. The interaction I had with Shawn makes me feel like I’m part of a smaller community of people looking out for each other. Who wouldn’t love that?! Thanks Uncle Shawn and Aunt Mary! Haha

Cube Smart Self Storage located at 8930 East Hampden Ave is secure, clean, and professionally run. Excellent staff on site to assist you with all your questions. Temperature controlled, well lit, and camera's both inside and outside of the facility. Compared to other storage facilities, cube smart wins hands down.

The process of renting the storage unit was seamless and easy. The process of requesting to move from a 10x10 unit down to a 5x5 unit was by far from easy. Did not have a pleasant experience with the storage facility general manager and was surprised at how unprofessional she was when speaking with her on the phone. Because of that experience I vacated the storage unit and contract and relocated to a different storage facility that was not CubeSmart.

Just leased a unit through the CubeSmart on Hampden in Denver. It was such an easy process. When I got there the manager was so helpful and guided me through everything. It’s very clean, temperature controlled and I felt safe moving everything in on my own. Would recommend! I met Shawn Robinson first thing Monday morning! He was very professional and courteous! He first asked if I needed to see the unit, I did and he walked with me to the location and finding it sufficient, a deal was had! We returned to the front office to fill out the paperwork and it was a cinch!!! Explained each section of what was written and why it needed to be signed! A 5 Star employee for sure! Shawn R. Did a phenomenal job getting me moved in. He enforced social distancing was happening. Throughout my whole experience be was cleaning everything before and after I touched it including: the keypad on the card reader, door handles, and he even took the time to use a Lysol wipe on the keypad to my storage unit, and Dollie. This is the second time I have used CubeSmart for my storage needs. I went to CubeSmart with the intention of just asking a few questions, checking out pricing, and then going to a few other storage facilities. After spending 15 minutes with our representative (Shawn), I knew this was the place for us. He patiently answered all our questions, took us on a tour of the facility, and thoroughly explained everything we would need to know about our particular space. I especially appreciated that we did not feel pressured in any way and Shawn was very understanding of our needs as far as space, size, and pricing. The security features are also very impressive, and it's nice to know I can feel safe no matter what time of day I go to load or unload. I definitely recommend CubeSmart, whether for long-term or short-term storage.

Shawn Robinson assisted me multiple times when I came to look at the facility. The first time we spent maybe 30 minutes or more together as he showed me the unit I was looking at. He made me feel like I was part of the family. Then when I came back to sign up for my unit, he was very helpful and assisted me with many questions. Shawn Robinson is the best at customer service. He is always friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. My last visit showed again that he goes above and beyond to help his customers. I needed to have lock removed because I lost the key. I arrived with a new lock and a cut finger because I tried to remove the lock from a hard plastic container with just my hands. He immediately offered to retrieve antiseptic ointment and a bandaid before he removed the lock. He offered information about a secure key ring so that I could avoid other losses in the future. At my storage unit he reminded me of security precautions when locking and unlocking the security lock. Any employer would be happy to have this man represent them. Thanks for your help, Shawn!

I rent a storage unit at this location for company use and it has been a great experience from the start. Most of that has to do with the management and staff. Mary has been a pleasure to work with and is incredibly accommodating, especially considering all of the weird rules my company has with how my packages are delivered, the type of storage facility/unit, etc. I have met Shawn a few different times now and he is always extremely friendly and makes sure you are satisfied with your experience. This place is clean with a great location, easy entry and exit. I worked with Shawn, who was very professional. He gave me a tour, showed me the size of storage unit he thought I needed and it turned out to just fit my stuff for a great price. He made sure that my passcode worked and set up a cheap rental of the CubeSmart truck, for $10. He also helped me to set up automatic monthly payments. The process was simple and would have been seemless had I known to bring in proof of my homeowner's insurance.

Great facility. Clean, modern, secure and good rates. I just rented my second unit here, and once again Shawn went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Super friendly, polite, professional, down to earth guy. He is really an asset to this place and one of the main reasons I decided to rent here again. I’ve used self storage in dozens of locations all over the country and this is the best I’ve ever seen. Great service, clean and secure and very competitive rates. Definitely recommend.

Shawn did a great job of getting me set up quickly when I got moved in. However, when I presented them with my storage insurance info, the store manager seemed incapable of understanding start/end/renewal dates and then tried to claim I needed something other than a Dec page to cancel. Declaration pages are Proof Of Insurance; asking for anything else (including paid bills, etc) is unprofessional and violates PII regulations.

I would like to give a shout out to Shawn & Mary for working so hard to provide a clean and safe environment for my belongings. My unit is on the 2nd floor and it is so nice to have an elevator that moves quickly! My only suggestion would be to the people who rent from CubeSmart and that is to *please* return the carts to the cart area!

Worst storage facility!! Never go there!! People that work there are super rude!! People sleep there and people that work there smoking cigarettes in the back. Had to wait 20mins for the lady to be Finish smoking just so I could pay my bill. Also I asked about cancel my storage and she said to call after your moved it all out. So I did. Last day was on 26th. I called on 27th at 12:00 PM and she charged me another week when they said they could not Pro rate a week!!!! THE WORST PLACE TO STORE YOUR STUFF

Shawn at the cube smart located at Hampden and Yosemite was very helpful getting me started with my storage unit. He was knowledgeable about my different insurance options and ensured that I was fully aware of the ins and outs of the storage unit facility. I was very impressed by his customer service and maintaining the care and safety of everyone who was in the facility while still giving me 5 star treatment. I feel confident leaving my belongings in the care of cube smart because I saw how diligent Shawn was at watching the cameras and tracking who was in the facility. Good to go. Fast app process (ab 5 min) and rules (to include late fees) were explained thoroughly. They let me see the storage before renting and told me all the rates going on, so there was no hidden fees or anything. I like the elevator access, clean and virtually dust free environment, free dollys to help move your move stuff and friendly staff. Thanks Mary and staff! ??

Great service! Shawn was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He took me on a tour of the facility letting me look at the size unit I wanted. He went over things in detail making sure I understood everything. I was there 30 - 45 minutes tops. This is the place to go if you need to rent storage.

Used to be a clean,user friendly facility with flat carts for custome use and open access to restrooms. Over the last several months the facility has degraded drastically.The place is filthy,bathrooms no longer accessable,carts almost non existent, management appears slovenly and rude. Great experience! I needed to move out of my current space at Public Storage into a smaller space. Michelle made it super easy and was very friendly. Facility is new and clean, lots of light for units without internal light fixtures. The process took long because she was there by herself. My only recommendation is to add additional staff on the weekends, during peak moving days.

Stopped in the other day after looking high and low for a clean storage facility. Doug and Isaac greeted me and showed me around. They were both thorough and extremely helpful. They showed me units on each floor and then offered me the first month free. I don't know if you can find a better place to store your stuff.

Love this, place very convenient and was easy to get in. However the only reason why i picked this place is because i seen the moving truck, free use when renting a storage here. I was floored when i wad told someone didn't show up for his reservation, the guy didnt show up all day. Came back at 1pm and the lady told me she couldn't give the truck because it's not to go out after 1pm. Next day no one reserved it. So i asked if i could use it, she told me i had to get insurance,$100 deposit and $10.00 to rental fee. Ok the truck it says free use with storage rental. Then i knew it is just a bait truck. So horribly wrong to mess with people like this. We were so angry and devastated by it. Because i thought it would have made our move so much easy instead we got charged two extra days at apartment we was kicked out of by family members.

Pros: clean facility with free use of flat-beds and reasonable prices. Also, they have a moving truck Cons: they advertise the moving truck as free and it is not. they charge a bogus "sign fee" of $10. If they're going to charge $10 to use their truck (which is totally reasonable btw) then don't advertise that it's free. I would have given 5 stars if not for the dishonesty

Was just at this location. I needed some twine or a bungee cord. Went to purchase and manager asked how much I needed. I told him I needed only 8 to 10ft. He said let me see what I can find for you. I can only tell you that this seems to be the norm. Wish I would have gotten his name. He truly just wants to help if he can. Customer service is what it's all about and it looks like it is the way this place operates normally. Thank you for just being a good person.

James was amazing and my personal Hero today. He saw me moving out my storage with my 15 month old in a car seat. I had a huge bookshelf and office chair that I had no way of moving or getting it out of there. He said to go ahead a leave it and he would help me by getting rid of it personally. As a real struggling single mother, to have him help me like that I will never forget it and am forever thankful for the help he gave me where others would not! Used this location for a year and found it to be very convenient (came and went frequently), very clean and comfortable (with climate controlled conditions throughout), and very secure (with cameras everywhere and personnel seemingly always in attendance). James and Mark (the managers), were eager to please, accessible in answering questions, and extremely helpful in arranging our moves in, out, and transfer between units (when downsizing). I strongly recommend using this state-of-the-art facility, and will choose this location again when once again needing storage space.
