Where to start? Rented a unit online, my wife and I rode our bikes down to check it out, and to see what it looked like before we loaded a truck and brought it down. Get there around 9 pm, go to the unit and there is an additional code required for entry into the inside, which I was not provided. So my wife and sat there for awhile trying to figure it out, trying to get ahold of anyone who could give us the code, and finally just hoping someone would come to that area so we could see what we were working with. Right before they closed we went ahead and left. I called and never got an answer, left several voicemails and was never called back. Fast forward 4 days, we go down there again this time to be told that a unit around where we were was broken into, and it just had to be us, because we were the last ones there and my wife left with more then we brought in. No, my wife had a tub on the back that was closed when we came in, which had some stuff we were going to store, and open when she left because she had started to unpack it while I tried to get the door open. Apparently this guy isn’t able to see stuff like that on his cameras. Told me break ins don’t happen there, but I observed carpet laying on a ledge that was near fence level, obviously so someone could jump the barbed wire without hurting themselves. Was told they tried to call me multiple times (lies) and that so had the police (lies). Still no word from law enforcement. What i suspect is this guy failed to do his job and is trying to push the blame on me because I was the last one there. Don’t know I just know there isn’t evidence because there can’t be, because we didn’t break into anything. So all that aside, whatever it’s a pain but there are a million storage facilities around, but I paid $86 for a storage I never used and expect that refunded. Can’t even get them to respond to me about it, if they really thought I broke in you’d think they would welcome any communication as a chance to get me arrested or have the police track me down. Nope. So today if still no response I will be filing a claim in small claims court. Will update on how that goes. TL;DR version: THESE GUYS ARE LIARS AND WILL THROW ANYBODY UNDER THE BUS TO DEFLECT FROM THE FACT THAT THEY DO NOT DO THEIR JOBS!

I have been using Cube Smart for about the last 7 years off and on. I have had no problems and for most of that 7 years had one manager whom went out of his way to be helpful. His name was Mike and I found out he passed away and that saddened me. I have bought at least 3 of the very expensive locks and when getting this storage I didn't have the lock and I wasn't going to leave anything in the storage till the next day I was just wanting to secure it. I was told by the new very young manager that I could not rent it until I had my lock and that it was the very last unit available and that it was gonna be first come first serve on the unit if I didn't have my lock with me. I was tired and I'm old and didn't feel like driving 20 minutes back home to get it. That's customer service at it poorest and I wasn't born yesterday. So I paid about 25.00 more than I needed to and had I traveled all the way back home Lynn the new very young manager made it sound like someone was going to come and rent that unit right away. So I ask what good was my reservation and why could I not have brought one of the three locks from home the next day when I was bringing my first load of things. Give me a flipping break. So now I have a very bad taste in my mouth with this kid and he said that's the rules, I don't think so and I should have walked out right then and there. These three locks I have are all from cube smart. So really how rude of this kid to play me like that. And he saw how many years I had a storage there. Some kind of customer service. Right. Skeptical in Colorado.

The customer service is AWESOME. I always got the best help. I would recommend a short term storage situation with Cube Smart ANY day. They also changed the locks on the doors, which made them SAFER, and that was a huge deal. The problem was, the storage was needed long term and the cost kept creeping up. That's when I said NO.

Quick to lock you out if a few days late on rent.. Rate increases often. We were charged a lien fee that was much higher than our past due amount on top of a late fee. Had to purchase a new lock too. We had been locked out of our storage for 2 weeks a few mos ago because the code to building door was changed without our knowledge, our calls not returned nor account credit for the time we couldn't access our belongings. Then again last night, our gate code/access had been disabled after we made an in-person payment yesterday. Today is Sunday so still unable to access our unit because office is closed... frustrating that we are held accountable for our errors yet they also make mistakes without "paying the price" as we do. Also, have had issues with the building maintenance a few times over 2 yrs- the door either not opening or not closing due to hardware issues.

I’ve been renting a until since May and have only had good experiences from day 1. Easy, streamline application and set up for my rental. Down the road a little, I had some financial issues and was worried about a late payment and Diane assured me that I won’t lose my unit and they were willing to be flexible that one time. Then, they were replacing the doors to all the units and asked for everyone to turn in their keys. About a month and a half later they called and said the keys were available to pick up. I wasn’t in a rush to get it so I was going to wait until the weekend. My roommate and I share the unit but my name is the account holder and so when he needed access to the unit today and didn’t have the new key he went to the office and spoke with Diane who very kindly told him that he can not get the key as he does not have his ID or name as the account holder. It was a minor inconvenience for him, but it was very reassuring that Diane did her due diligence and respectfully protected our unit. She could have not cared and assumed he was being honest and gave him the keys, or she could have been rude (which kinda seems like the new normal now) and made his day worse but she was kind and compassionate, and that’s not something you’d think you would say when reviewing a storage facility.

My husband has a storage unit here. It's a small unit, but pretty expensive. And they don't allow 24hr access. Plus it was weird when we were unloading our stuff into the unit two of the employees drove the golf cart over and basically watched us as we were putting everything into our storage unit. I felt like they were scoping out our things. They literally drove over a few minutes after we parked, parked caddy corner to where we were and sat and watched us until we locked up and left to get another load. Then when we came back one guy came over and sat near us then when we left he went over and pulled on the lock "checking it" and putting a sticker on it for some reason. I dunno it really weirded me out.

The management change the code to the building and didn't send email to let me know. Couldn't physically get ahold of them to get the code and the call center even was unsuccessful in reaching the employees to get the code. Very irritated!

Mike was a great help to me. I was looking to move into another storage unit. Within days Mike called me to ask if I wanted what had just come available, but it wasn't the size we were looking for. He just wanted to make sure and gave use the option to take the one that just opened. When the size we needed came available, he call. Then right before he were going to switch units we decided that we would just stay in the ine we were already in. Mike , was fine with it. Since Mike has come to this store I've never had a bad experience. Nice to have such a pleasant person ar this store again!!! Unit 1375

They rope you in with a discounted internet price then charge you a $26 administrative fee when you get there then you have to buy one of their lockswhich is $18, complete rip-off Uhaul's is $10. then they provide you a gate code but when you go to enter and it doesn't work. Since day one, I have had a great experience with this CubeSmart location. I sent in a request online for a 20' x 20' unit and received a response back pretty much immediately from Christopher about next steps. Getting the unit (2 10'x20' units in this case) was a breeze and Christopher made the whole process easy and seamless. Not only are the units clean and secure, but the customer service has been top notch. I can't say enough nice things about Christopher -- he brought us waters when we were moving in and is always up for a quick hello or a friendly chat. I recently needed to downsize from those two units to just one. There was some miscommunication/misunderstanding on both ends about whether this was possible, but Christopher and the rest of the team went above and beyond to work with me to make this happen. I have experienced nothing but professionalism and great customer service, and feel like we are in good hands. Thank you, Christopher and the rest of the CubeSmart Team.

Perfect location. Was probably the only location in the city with units that suited my needs at low and reasonable prices. Worked with Mike to get a great unit. Very happy with what I got too, didnt feel rushed or pressured, and he did his best to make sure I saved time and money as well. UPDATE: Mike has been extremely helpful and accommodating. This facility really believes in protecting your belongings.

Updated: After dealing with them since April 6th, could not get in contact with any office personnel for 2 weeks of calling and stopping by to discuss an issue with rain gutter above unit. Doors are horrible to open and close and we were told that they're just old and there's not much they can do but give them some lube, which didn't really help much. Finally was able to switch to a new unit on April 20th and was told my payments would be due on the 20th since it was a new contract, but everything else would remain the same (monthly payment amount, etc). Only to be called on May 10th stating my payment was late. I reminded him that it was supposed to be switched and was told it would be fixed. Went in to pay today, May 19 and was told my monthly payment amount was $60 more than originally quoted and that the amount had gone up since last month. I refused to pay that amount until I spoke with a manager and was told to call 800 number. Called the 800# and was told she couldn't help me, but would send a note to the district manager to get back to me and in the meantime, I'm locked out of my unit and can't get my stuff! I would not recommend doing business with them if you intend to store stuff you actually want to keep in there!

Very friendly. I was in a hurry to sign the paperwork for a new unit, and leave. Mike was very helpful and friendly. There was two other customers in the office when I was there and he did an excellent job help on getting all of us without being rude or ignoring anyone. So far very happy with the customer service, price, and cleanliness of location. Would recommend over public storage, cheaper and more friendly.

2022 Update: I was a customer at the 4120 S Federal Blvd, Englewood Cube Smart for several years. From about 2014 through Feb. 2022. I never had a problem with security, which gave me peace of mind as I know many storage facilities get broken into. That was never an issue here, and I even left my key in my padlock one time! Thankfully, the staff on site found the key in the lock while on their rounds, notified me and held onto it until I could come by to pick it up. Speaking of the staff, their customer service is excellent, most especially Mike Wims, the General Manager. He's just a nice person in general, but he has helped me out so many times. The rent at Cube Smart is not cheap, and I would have shopped around for a more budget-friendly facility, but I honestly did not want to lose the customer service care I've received from Mike and his staff. That is what mainly kept me there. The CubeSmart online payment site is another story. I know that's not this location's fault, but almost every month for close to two years now I had issues. Either I couldn't get logged in or there were other issues within the website, forcing me to call the location to pay. Also, there is a dumpster on site, but customers are not allowed to use it. I took issue with that as I've been at other storage facilities that were more than happy to share their dumpsters with their renters. For the price I paid monthly, I expected those services. Instead, I had carload after carload of trash runs, creating quite a bit of an inconvenience while trying to organize and clean my storage unit. But essentially, if you can afford it and want a secure facility with friendly and helpful staff, look no further. ************************************************************** Storage rental prices are high everywhere so I can't really compare Cube Smart to other storage facilities in that area, but as far as their customer service goes they are the best in my opinion! The employees are consistently helpful and friendly and will often go out of their way to help me. Debora in particular has been wonderful! When businesses and their employees take care of their customers, that company will always get my business.

Really nice experience. Jasmin was very good giving us the proper information and great rate - even though our stuff is only going to be there about one month, you still get the first month free! They were also proactive contacting us when necessary when our mover showed up about a week later with some misplaced items they found on their truck. It is very important to have a staff member there on the premises to be available when something unanticipated happens as we were coordinating a mover, our availability and a subsequent truck to take the stuff to another destination. I would definitely look for a CubeSmart if I ever needed storage services again.

This place is rediculous. For the first week and a half over Christmas my door came off the track... 80% OFF and it would not close or lock but dangled instead. The managers all had no problem with this. I couldn't access my stuff but they assured me that if anything gets stolen, the insurance will cover it... really? Next they offered me to move everything out and into another unit. That's it. All the managers all yelled at me for getting upset and said too bad they offered me to move... it was unlocked for over a week. Do not trust this place. Your stuff is not safe. Want to hear the phone calls from the pathetic district Manager telling me too damn bad and to get out? Contact me!

The reason I got my storage was for my belongings to be more secure. I left after visiting my storage space at 1015a.m. the other day. I received a call before noon letting me know I inadvertently did not secure the latch propery on my unit leaving it not secured. It was a very straightforward and easy process. I had a larger unit and when I sold my trailer, I was looking to downsize. I went into the office and made the switch. In less than 20 minutes I was in my new unit. The staff is very nice and very accommodating.
