It was not disclosed that staff could assign you a unit with two doors. Which meant they could charge you for two locks. It was not disclosed (only in the fine print) that they could literally force you to be charged for insurance. Also, Bad form on their part as I was told I could sign the lease in at 12:01am EST and it would be recognized as next day—imagine how I felt when I saw the official lease sent to me was for the day before. Be careful. Not trustworthy in the least. If all this occurred on the first day! Geesh!!

Storage seems fine, however if you book online to ensure you have the unit you need you cannot decline their insurance protection even though in the lease it specifically says it is not mandatory to have their insurance. They intentionally want you to not be able to upload your own insurance policy so they can charge you a fee and not refund it to you. It's a great system to leech money from people and say "Sorry, that's just our policy."

Renter BEWARE! Don't get sucked into this money pit.... You might feel like you are getting a good deal, but rest assured - you WILL see an increase within the first year and on-going after that. Every year my fee increases 15-20% (and that's after appealing for a lower fee increase). After 20yrs of using this for my business, I've had enough. I went into the office to appeal another annual increase and was told they couldn't do it. Pam the prior office manager was great and followed through to reduce the increases. Instead, I was told I was getting a great deal. It's clear that CubeSmart values new customers instead of loyalty. The new office manager needs customer service training. I told her I was vacating and she said 'OK'. Didn't ask for a reason why, didn't mark down my unit, didn't care. My business happens to be helping leaders and managers become better communicators - you could definitely use help in this area. I will recommend small business owners vs the corporate giants who do not care about their loyal customers. In response from the owner, it's too little too late. I explained the situation and will not waste my time explaining again per your generic response.

I’m impressed with the process and how quick and painless it was to get into a storage unit quickly. I had a unit reserved on the phone in less than 10 minutes. The person I talked to asked good questions to understand our needs to ensure we were put into the right size unit. When we arrived at the facility, Jamie again tried to understand our needs to make sure our unit was the right size. Contract, payment and everything else was done in less than another ten minutes. We arrived back to the facility about an hour later and it was open and ready for us. I’m happy we chose this location for our storage needs.

I want to start out by saying that the staff at this location didn't do anything wrong and they did their best to help so this review is more about CubeSmart's business practices. My partner and I rented out a storage unit at this location for just under $82 per month in January of this year, and then just 5 months later we got a letter in the mail stating that our monthly rate was being increased to over $160/month. We contacted them to see if maybe there was a mistake - a 50% rent increase is pretty shocking - and we were told there wasn't anything that can be done; it's just CubeSmart's new rates. We opted to end our rental agreement and moved all of our stuff out, just to find out they don't prorate for the part of the month we paid for but didn't utilize the unit. We will never do business with CubeSmart again, and I don't recommend them to anyone.

I started shopping for storage during the three days of my actual move. It was a stressful time but the brightest spot of the whole ordeal was dealing with Morgan and Pam at CubeSmart. Morgan received my phone call when shopping around and was extremely helpful answering my questions about the terms of the rental. It was a huge relief when she called, I was spread so thin from the move I hadn’t had time to reach out. When I arrived Pam greeted me with a warm welcome! She got me through the paperwork with ease and did a wonderful job helping me through my questions. Though to be fair, I know what to expect thanks to Morgan’s excellent prep work. It was an absolute breeze getting my belongings into my unit. Pam and Morgan are superstars and it was great to meet and interact with them both! I feel super comfortable and secure with my belongings at CubeSmart and plan on sticking around as long as the rates remain competitive.

Don't make the mistake of using this place for business purposes. Even if you make it explicitly clear you plan to start a business using a storage facility to store and access your inventory, they will say no problem, move you in. (a fair chunk of their facility is rented by small business owners accessing the units on a near daily basis) If for any reason they decide they don't like you, they have it in their policy that "conducting a business is not allowed" and will happily start enforcing that rule the moment they decide they don't like seeing your face regularly. Keep in mind they will move you in, act excited for you to start your business with them. Then those exact cheery on first impression ladies will be breathing down your neck if they arbitrarily decide they don't like you, kick you out of your unit and let the other dozen of business owners keep operating against the rules. Use them for a free month to start your couch flipping business and just flip flop facilities until you get a warehouse. Because as soon as your face becomes familiar to these two ladies, those smile and waves will quickly turn into mean mugs and disrespect. On the bright side, I made more than them both in the time I was there. Good luck people venturing outside the miserable 9-5. Keep looking for better property where Karen is not your manager if you gnome sayin.

Very poor customer service. Had an issue with vehicle not fitting in unit. Was charged a full month rent and for a padlock and never set foot in unit. No prorate for days not using unit no trying to work another solution just see you!! This was going to be a long term storage but now if I ever need another storage unit I will not go here and will let anyone I hear of that is looking know of my experience.

It’s an understatement to say that the staff here, Morgan and Pam, are a couple of my favorite people! Extremely kind and helpful. Pricing is comparable to other companies in the area. About the only thing I didn’t like was the frequency of rate changes. A corporate decision, I’m sure. That doesn’t stop me from recommending this location to anyone looking for storage services. Be Aware! Undisclosed $24.00 admin fee will be charged. CubeSmart admits the undisclosed fee is charged, and is not found anywhere on the mobile site used by all smartphone users to reserve storage. They don’t care. It is found only on the normal website via non-smart phone users to reserve storage. They don’t care, you will pay the undisclosed $24 admin fee, regardless if their site fails to disclose such a fee applies. Kind of like the old used car buying days - one price advertised and then undisclosed fees apply jacking up the price.

Pam and Morgan run the Cubesmart like clockwork - precise and always 2 steps ahead of the needs of customers and maintaining the storage facility. They are outstanding at customer service and there are not enough posiive things that can be said about this facility and how smoothly it runs. After a recent snow one of the office folks was out shoveling snow from in front of the units due to some remnants from the plowing - above and beyond normal responsibilities. They truly care about their customers and have earned the many 5 star ratings here. ----------------------------------- Final review: I am moving and closing my account at Cubesmart. The customer service was above and beyond the norm. Pam and Morgan are the best at making renting at the storage facility as easy and smooth as possible. As a tenant, I observed how they treated other customers, sometimes in difficult situations, and was always impressed with their calm and helpful demeanor no matter how difficult things could get. During winter months they were out among the cubes making sure that everything was clear and safe for customer use. I can't recommend this facility and these employees enough for several years of outstanding service. Thanks!!

This is the first time I’ve ever actually used to public storage, but the cube smart came highly recommended from a friend. I found a whole process to be easy, and even enjoyable. This has been the best experience in renting a storage unit! I can’t say enough good things about the front office staff (Pam & Morgan), they have always been (from the first time I walked in, to the last day that I was there) incredibly nice, patient, helpful, knowledgeable. The location was perfect for me to store my stuff, easy in and out access, clean facilities, pricing was the same if not better than most places that I had looked into for storage. I’ll be back if I ever need to rent storage again. Highly recommend this facility for your storage purposes.

They spent time on the phone with me to make sure that I had the right size unit, and held the last one that was big enough for my stuff while I waited for a moving truck to arrive, and made sure that I was in a spot that would permit a truck to pull straight up to the unit.

Pam, the office manager is extremely helpful and knowledgeable with a heart of gold! She is reliable and dependable, always following through with what she says. She even got us a refund for the month we didn't end up using! We had a storage unit at extra storage during the same time and even though we had already paid for the entire month and moved everything out just 3 days into that month, extra storage space definitively did NOT offer us any money back. Our experience at CubeSmart was so amazing that I wish I could take Pam with us!

I stored my Life at Cubesmart-Golden from November-March. When I got everything out it was exactly the way I left it! The staff here are very nice and laid back. They always got back to me when I left messages with questions. I reviewed other storage places on Google before I chose this location and I am glad I chose the right place!!
