I’m mostly have no problems with the facility. Customer service staff is friendly and knowledgeable enough, but CubeSmart sure is not customer friendly nor do they care about customer satisfaction when it comes to pricing. I signed up for a unit online at the online discounted price. When we got to the facility, they told us because we have a unit there already we could not get the unit at that price. Nowhere online did it say you could not get that pricing if you were an existing customer. We were trying to downsize from a large unit to a smaller unit. As I said first, they told us we couldn’t get that price, then she told us that if we kept both units, we could get the discounted price. Kind of deceptive I would say. Plus, be prepared to have a rate increase every six months.

I will never do business with the Beacon falls facility ever again. I had a unit for a year and wanted to upgrade. Given a price butnit was close to closing time so next day i went back and I was told a much higher price. I was told then to come back next day and the price was even more. Asked to speak to a manger but was told that she would pass the message to the manger, she would not give me a number or name of a manger! The employee Laura had no care in the world about trying to help. All she was worried about was that I gave her 10 day notice so she could have my unit ready for next renter. I do not recommend this facility at all.

Continuous increase in the rental prices, leaking roof in the storage unit. Several boxes damaged by water leaking from the roof, contents destroyed by mold and mildew. Took two weeks for the facility to respond to the report of the leak, requesting access to the unit during the upcoming week. I already removed the contents & moved into another facility (not CubeSmart). The facility’s response was “you have private insurance”. I expected my stored goods to be safe and secure. I guess I’m supposed to monitor my unit for leaks every time it rains. Forgot to ask if they sold tarps.

The automatic rate increases approximately every 6 months are insane. I cannot continue to store with you because of this, I have bought a Semi Trailer for $2,000 and am moving out today. The trailer pays for itself in only 13 months, since it only costs me $50/mo to store the trailer vs $225/mo for my 10x15 unit with you. 3x the storage space, for almost 1/5th of the money make hugely more sense to my wallet. Furthermore, I was a carryover tenant from the previous owner of the property, and was NOT advised of this policy when CubeSmart took over. They also keep the bathroom locked outside of office hours (it previously was left open for people to use, as its an outdoor bathroom.) This is a problem for me, when I am paying and extra $15/mo for 24/7 access. I do not plan to store with CubeSmart again anywhere due to these issues.

This facility is top notch. They have a very good security system and hours that support a secure operation. They have competitive pricing and for what they offer great value. The owners have been responsive to my questions and have handled my requests promptly. They obviously take pride in their business as it is clean, well lit and has good access to Rte 8.
