I am so disappointed. I'm paying twice the amount I would have paid for the same space with Uhaul. Plus I had to pay admin fee $29 and lock of $19. One month free and half off became one or the other and the half off can only be applied to second month.

Horrible experience! They raised the price on me! They added unreasonable late charges on me despite me telling the manager that my father passed away and I was out of state. They don't care about people here in my opinion! I would STRONGLY encourage anyone that needs storage to look elsewhere! This has been a very bad experience!

I loved the maintenance upkeep of the premises and how clean it was. Jason the manager was always understanding of my concerns. I signed up for a storage unit in early November, just before the pandemic. When I could not reopen my store in the targeted time of April 2020, I had no choice but to bear the cost of the continued storage of all my equipment! In August, CubeSmart sent me a letter informing me that my storage rate would increase by almost $20/month, despite the ongoing pandemic shutdowns and many of their customers could possibly have lost their jobs or taking a reduced income, OR like in my case, unable to reopen my store and move all the equipment out of storage! CubeSmart is banking on their customers finding it too troublesome to move everything out of their units and into a competitor's storage, even if the competitor is very nearby. The logistics would have been too cumbersome to deal with for $15-$17 extra/month, and CubeSmart knows that!! It is unethical to be taking advantage of their vulnerable customers, especially when we are struggling under current unprecedented circumstances. I will not use CubeSmart for my storage needs again in future and will certainly warn others about their unethical price hike tactics after they have locked us in!

I took advantage of a deal that was 50% off the rent. I thought this was amazing, which is why I switched from Public Storage to here. Because Public Storage kept raising my rates each year. I explained that to the staff member at the time of my move in. I asked how long this 50% off was locked in for. She said it was at least a year. I moved in April 2020, As of October 2020 they already raised my rate. When I called to question, the manager said there was nothing she could do for me, and explained she's getting double for those units. As if it was my fault that I took advantage of their deal. So she refused to do anything for me, regardless of what her staff told me. I wrote to corporate, and received absolutely NO response after almost a month. Be weary, and ask questions of any advertised deals. They know that once they get you in there, you are unlikely to move your belongings.

There’s a water leak in the climate controlled units, inside on the first floor (C units). Stored my apartment after I lost my job because of COVID. Came back three months later to find everything covers in mold. It’s heart breaking. I thought the whole reason to get climate controlled was to avoid this problem. If cube smart knows this is an issues then they should be ashamed of themselves. I met a guy yesterday on the same floor. His whole box is full of mold and I don’t think insurance will cover our total loses. Store at your own risk.

This storage facility has climate controlled storage bins if you desire. Very clean. Very clean. It had a security gate controlled by a key pad. Easy no step entrance into the inner storage units from the outside. This makes going in and out with a hand truck or dolly very easy. The nicest storage facility I have ever been in. 5 STARS.

The staff is both efficient and friendly - very easy to work with. They are transparent with information and make every effort so that you clearly understand how the facility operates as well as pricing. The facility is very clean with 24 hour surveillance. Platform hand trucks are available once you are in the storage area to make moving items into your unit easier - very useful. Insurance for your storage unit is required - either thru CubeSmart or you can arrange for it via an independent provider. They recommend a disk lock for your unit - they sell them at the facility or you can bring one with you. Very smooth process from start to finish. Excellent to work with.

My daughter goes to college at the University of Hartford, so we needed a place to store her belongings for the summer. CubeSmart was excellent! The guy on the phone reserved the unit for me quickly and easily, the exact size I wanted, and we drove there and the woman behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. I have had experience with only one other company--and it was a disaster. I'm thoroughly pleased with Jason McCarthy and the service I've received at CubeSmart. To Whom It May Concern, I was recently a patron at your store located at 101 Old Windsor Road to rent a storage bin. Your General Manager, not quite sure of his name was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional in his approach to offer me exceptional customer service. I am new to the area and was desperately in need to find a storage facility to store my items. I am very appalled and disappointed in the lack of customer service and consideration that I had to endure during this time. As a General Manager, he should be a representative of company policy and overall commitment to excellence. By this experience, he lost potential revenues for this location as well as the damage of "word of mouth" marketing that could be the detriment to any business. This General Manager needs to be retrained in customer service and his approach to how to handle and deal with the public. Thank you, I hope that this matter is rectified sooner than later.

We have been renting from Cube Smart for several years. Each year Carla from the Enfield Location has always been extremely accommodating and very pleasant to work with! She always has our best interest at heart and we feel like family every year when we see her. Last year we got the opportunity to work with both Jason and Carla and had the same experience.
