They increased my rent this year by $53.00!! that is outrageous. And I can’t even get in touch with the owner to speak with them. The office help (Mike) was great.He helped me out tremendously. It’s just the way that they do business by increasing the rent yearly. Unaffordable. I feel relieved not having to pay a $288 month storage.

Excellent customer service provided by Mike at Branford family! After two horrid experiences at other storage facilities where employees told me there was no space because I asked to see it working with Mike was outstanding. He was more than willing to show space, explain what we needed and although it was 95 degrees outside shuttled us to storage space to show us what it looked like rather than tell us to look online. Cubesmarts employees, Bianca and Mike are wonderful and the company is lucky to have them.

They are never open. Its 11am on a Tuesday and its closed. Last week I tried to come on a Wednesday, and the worker just locked the door at 1pm, opened it quickly to take my payment, and locked it again. Lights off and everything. Change the location hours if you're going to be closed all the time.

5 stars for the location and ease of using this storage facility, 1 star for raising rates 20% after 6 months. My advice to anyone who wants to rent a storage unit is to read the contract carefully and negotiate a price for a certain amount of time. This also happened with another company in another state - a huge price increase after renting for 6 months.

Easy check in at your own time. Have individual code to get in the locked gate. Good security at the site. I was not aware that I would have to purchase a lock until check in. My unit was clean. The first month cost was approximately double the monthly rate with the admin fee, required lock from them and required insurance.

In a day when time is money I received both today from Bianca in the Branford location. I found myself caught in the middle of a downpour and needing additional storage space for my business needs. I had about 30 minutes before needing to be back to the job site. I used their online reservation to secure a great deal on my first months payment. Bianca went out of her way during her lunch break to show me the two options I had been interested in. She was thorough and I wasn't rushed during the quick signing process. I highly recommend this storage facility. It's ironic that I had rented a unit there years prior to CubeSmart taking ownership. They are Fast. Friendly and Monthly. The units are priced fair and reasonable. It's also easily accessible if you live on or travel the shoreline. (Exit 54) Ask for Bianca she'll take good care of you. Thank you! P. S. Cube Smart people are consistently cheerful and up-beat. In January I went to Cube Smart to rent a space. There was a light but steady snow falling. Everybody who worked at Cube Smart was in such a good mood! They drove me to the storage unit even though it was only 100 ft away. So there was the gentle ribbing that they provide chauffeur service. So back in the office, filling out the paper-work I was laughing along with them. What they never knew was that my Mom had passed away that very morning. I needed something to distract me so I was moving her stuff. I left there laughing. They had cheered me up. On the way home I saw a rainbow and it was like I knew everything was going to be OK. I've been in back many times since and the Cube Smart associates are always just as cheerful as that first day.

I drove up and an employee was exiting with her arms in the arm shouting about some drama regarding a man... the first impression wasnt great. I reserved online, they called me as promised but it rang maybe twice then they hung up. No message. Classic bait and switch. Website said $109 base. I go in and the girl literally says to me, "let's discuss the price so theres no surprises!" All of sudden its $120 base. Now don't forget the ridiculous admin charge which is nothing but dipping in your pocket, $25. Oh, you want to use the free truck on the website? You mean the one outside the facility that has a massive banner stating its free? That's fine, but by free they mean $10, when available, then $100 cash deposit that they can keep at their "discretion." And don't forget the mandatory insurance. Interesting how $109 went up to $152 out of no where. Give me a break.

I had originally rate this place much higher , however, after moving out of my unit there are different factors others should consider. While the staff are considerate there were mistakes in communication that while recovery efforts improved things I still had to go above property to a regional manager for resolution. Very frustrating and wasted hours and hours of my time. Additionally, I paid extra for a air cooled & heated unit thinking that it would be more secure from outside elements and that was not the case! When I moved out I found evidence of not just the usual mouse activities (droppings, etc.) but snake skins from them growing and shedding their skin! Also evidence of squirrels living in and among my stuff! Left over nut shells even inside my shoes that were in boxes! Also soooo many spiders that I ended up having to fumigate my new home after I moved everything out of the storage unit into my new place. I have used different storage places over the years and found that this place in particular is not secure enough to justify the extra costs they charge. They need to seriously have professionals go over the interior and exterior of their buildings for containment / construction issues. No one should have to be concerned with snakes and squirrels AND an inordinate amount of various spider species co habitating with your belongings. Especially when you are paying a higher fee for interior units.

Bianca is always so helpful. I came in to rent another unit and despite the late time, just before closing, she insisted on showing me the unit and making sure I was happy with it before completing my paper work. This caused her to stay open later to complete my rental. Although there were less expensive storage suppliers offering specials that week, I felt confident that Bianca would provide better service and be there for me if I needed any extra help. She also found an option that met my needs and surpassed the competition! What a great experience : )

First time going to cubesmart in brandford and had a wonderful experience bianca and Johanna where very helpful and knowledgeable I really recommend this site for any one looking for a storage.

This was our first time ever renting a storage unit and the entire experience has been a great one. I would definitely recommend the Branford CubeSmart based on their location, security, professionalism and amazingly helpful staff (especially Bianca!). Moving this weekend was so easy and we feel better knowing our possessions are secure and in good hands!

First time experience and need of finding a place to store overstock parts with the accessibility to get them quickly. Was told a total final price on the phone for my online reservation for a storage unit and when in person, was given way more than I was told. Then, was told on phone that I could borrow their truck for that same day's moving into storage unit but when in person was told that I couldn't take it out on the road that day. Due to one inconvenience after another, I cancelled reservation and took my business to another storage facility. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
