Ive been trying to get my refund since oct 2023. I found the storage dirty and with bugs inside. The facility is left unlocked 24 hours and is surrounded by a chain link fence that would be easy to hop over. Manager was nice until i told her i was canceling the unit. I found it to be dark and creepy. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Especially now that they wont return my payment or phone calls.

Bait and Switch rates, they are more focused on bringing new customers with deceitful rates than keeping their current customers, started a lease and then within 6 months Cubesmart increase their rate for more than 30% while still offering lower prices for new leases. Management don't care or have an answer when asked about the increase. Take your money where your business is appreciated. Aside from that their units are in good shape and compable to other units around the area.

Good prices for storage room itself but they do stuff like add unnecessary fees like $29 administrative fees to sign an iPad twice. They also make you pay for their insurance which is $12 monthly for covering a measly $3000 worth of things which is more expensive than my renters insurance which is $11 and covers over $25,000 worth of things. They also make you get a letter from your renters/house insurance in order to waive their expensive storage insurance. Just ridiculous.

I’ve only had a storage unit one other time with a different company before getting one at Bristol Cubesmart, but I never experienced as much grief and disappointment as I have with my 4 years at Cubesmart. The rate increases start after your cheap introductory rate ends within 6 months and they don’t stop coming. My rate has gone 50% higher in 4 years. I’ve had at least 3 or 4 rate increases on the same junk I’ve had stored there since 2018. You can call them and try to explain customer loyalty, but they could care less. Cubesmart is the epitome of corporate greed and I've decided I’m done with their games. The one time I needed to get into my unit to retrieve a suit for Easter in 2021 I wasn’t even allowed into my unit because there was a burglary investigation and many units were broken into. Until just recently the freight elevator door stuck and was a nightmare to get things up and down. (With all the rate increases they were able to update the equipment). On one of my most recent trips a tenant created a traffic jam at the gate and then spewed profanity at me because I tried to quickly get around to make a quick trip to my unit. If my housing situation wasn’t in such flux in recent years from my sick mother and the pandemic, I would have vacated a year ago. I will never rent a storage unit in my life ever again. In Summary: STOP -RAISING THE RATES SO ARBITRARILY. - LETTING THE PLACE GET BURGLARIZED. - ALLOWING JUNK AND CAR REPAIR OPERATIONS IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE FACILITY - BEING SLUM LORDS.

In the beginning I was happy. Then over the 2 years I was there, the prices I discovered were very high compared to others. I recently had received a letter in the mail showing an increase to my bill from $225 a month (plus the dumb charge for doing a payment electronically of $4.00 over the phone) to $285 a month and that's where I drew the line. I was a loyal paying customer and never had any problems. When I showed up to get my things out of storage, it was almost like the climate-controlled environment that I was paying extra for wasn't even running. It was very humid, and I was pissed. I would no longer recommend this company unless they work on taking care of their customers before losing business to places like U-Haul first. I understand that air condition is expensive to run in Connecticut because of politics and taxes and Eversource destroying people's pockets, but that doesn't mean the customer should feel affected by this for storing things. If the price was fair the business would be thriving instead of struggling. If the owners were smart, they would change the providers of electric delivery, so the rates are cut in half and find ways to prevent needing to have upset loyal customers. And when I called to inform them of my leave, they said oh yeah it looks like you'll be getting a refund for part of the month not being used and we will contact you by the end of the day today. Do you think I ever got a phone call about getting "money back"? NO. lol. It's not covid, or any other excuses that cause businesses to fail. it's poor customer service and planning of finding ways to get customers the best prices. Matching competitors to keep people from leaving.... It's simple, yet never achieved.

Very easy to sign up for a storage. Loved that I had access until 10pm, this way I could manage moving my items after work and even later if necessary. My unit was indoors on the second floor, but the fact that there was a lift and cart made it possible for me to move even my furniture, in and out, all by myself!

Cathy was extremely helpful and the process was quick and efficient. She showed me where everything I needed, was. Climate control is upstairs, and there's an elevator with 2 flat bed push carts on it. There are locks for purchse at the cube smart office, but for $15.00. Got a deal on the first month, paid $24.00 at signing for administrative rental fees, and $12.00 for the monthly insurance premium (covers $2,000 damage). Total was $37.52 after tax. Great deal. It will be $90 per month for a 5x10 unit.

I was given wrong entry code. Keyad to exist is nowhere near the gate. Rep at the front desk went through the lease process with people who arrived after me (and did not have a reservation) before me - so much for first come. Last time I saw my stuff, a robbery of other units had occured. I guess those cameras aren't watched. I have had my unit red tagged and locked out with no explination. They took it off, but have no idea why it was done. Top notch staff, eh?

I love cubesmart Lake Ave Bristol Ct location because when I went to move my belongings to a storage I was at my lowest point. I had no where to go and was practically homeless. I was so upset and crying. The manager on shift that day Darlene P felt so bad for me being new to the area not having any contact's for apartments. She told me about her landlord and gave me his number to try. I called left him a message about my situation. He did not have anything right at that moment but told me he would in early April. She took her time in finding me just the space I needed and gave me an awesome deal!! The security of the business makes me feel like my belongings are safe. High recommend this facility. I just moved out today after nearly two years. The staff was always professional and personable, but they especially helped out when there were some snafus with my international shipping company: they were perceprive, took personal initiative to suggest solutions and to make things easier for me. The facility itself was clean and as I expected, probably similar to other storage units. But the peopole actually CAN make a difference. Will never need to use them again, but would do so without hesitation.

Not sure how this place gets a 5 star review my rates got jacked up by $20 in a year and a half , $107.00 a month for a 5 ×10 unit total ripoff not to mention i should have gotten back $30 cause i cleaned my unit out 2 weeks before the end of the month but suprise its not refundable. People raved about the clean facility ill give them that but they leave out the car repairs that are being made on the property which is against cubesmarts policy also good luck when you want to use the elevator for the second floor it rarely works and the transfer carts are always missing , my opinion D- rating for equipment maintenance. I moved my stuff to ez storage on W.Queen St in Southington the prices are way cheaper so i suggest everyone should do the same.

After a 6 hour drive, I arrived 5 minutes before closing. Cathy Colon, the manager there, was not only receptive and willing to wait, she advised on the best possible deal, answered any questions I had, allowed me to view the unit options, and even made some recommendations upon my inquiry regarding food options as we were hungry after a long drive. Enthusiasm goes a long way and whenever someone puts in 100% into assuring the customer has a great experience, you can confidently say that is the best way to retain a customer. Top that off with the best rates and space for the money I have encountered in the area, it's an easy decision. Facility is also under surveillance, gated, and space is obviously locked, so security appears to be of no concern. My experience was very good. Thank you for saving me money too.
