The manager here is a thief. I would not trust storing a bag of garbage in this facility. I win a unit here in an auction, called and made an appointment to retrieve the items like the instructions stated and when I got there the manager said she couldn’t help me and I would have to come back in two hours but within that two hours she cancelled my invoice.This isn’t the first time this has happened with her either and when speaking to other Cubesmart managers they informed me this lady is a huge problem.

I had a very good experience with CubeSmart and this location specifically. Roberta helped my elderly mother and myself coordinate a move to California. I was unable to travel to Connecticut to supervise and Roberta made the process seamless. The staff in the office was professional every time I visited in person. The units were very easy to access as well. Lots of equipment from dollys and carts to help move my belongings and most importantly, no shady characters hanging near or around the property. I always felt like my belongings were safe and secure. I truly can not say enough positive things about Roberta, she went above and beyond for us. The movers left something behind and staff at the location called to notify me, knowing I was emptying the unit and not present. Luckily they didn’t allow us to just leave something behind. That one phone call went a very long way. The process of renting the unit was simple as well. If I ever need a storage unit again, CubeSmart won my loyalty.

The customer service agents are really good. They are very helpful and courteous. They are great with making sure to reach out to you with a call during reasonable hours before you incur late fees if you miss a payment. They are very on point. The facility was very clean, kept cool or warm at the right time and there was always a working cart when I needed one. Parking is great. Definitely my favorite storage unit company in Connecticut.

1. Way too expensive for what you get! There are less expensive locations to store items that are more reasonable. Rates go up significantly each year, monthly cost is way out of control. 2. Elevator consistently not working, major issue if you are on an upper level and either need to carry your items up-stairs or leave to have to return. 3. Rarely is the office open or staff available. Stopped by several times during business hours (Usually early mornings) to discuss our storage unit and no staff, office was closed. Left messages and no-one gets back to you. Will be cancelling and will be moving to another facility shortly.

We needed two units last minute and the call center sales rep was very helpful in identifying spaces that were suitable for our needs, along with assisting in understanding the pricing and promotions that were available. Additionally, the local sales office staff was equally helpful and friendly, they called me immediately after I reserved the spot and also held an additional unit for me in the event I needed it. I also appreciated that they contacted us because they had been walking the property and noticed our space was unlocked and wanted to confirm we had moved since I hadn't been able to notify them at the time we moved out. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the neighborhood to get to the facility is filled with very narrow streets, which were slightly challenging as we were navigating through with a large moving truck.

While everyone was super nice at the facility, they refused to work with me at all as my plans changed. I rented a unit, paid for a month, but a few days later found out I was moving later in the year. Rather than crediting, partial refund or any consideration, they took my month payment and i just shut down the account. Never even stepped foot in the facility. Lost a customer, when they could have just applied the rent towards a future rental- bizarre.

In my opinion, this specific facility was managed unprofessionally and incompetently. What was supposed to be a convenient storage option to make my life easier, turned out to be an arduous and time consuming disaster. Also, I stored my belongings in this facility for a number of years, so this was not a one-time occurrence nor limited scope of experience. To begin, their online payment processing system failed to auto bill my account, so I had to sign in every month to pay the rental charge. Despite multiple phone calls and emails, this was never resolved, and they stopped responding to my requests, totally ignoring the issue. Second, after my account went into arrears not noticing the auto bill was malfunctioning, the local management team insisted that I travel IN PERSON from out of town during the height of the deadly Covid pandemic to make the past due payment, including steep penalty charges. It took multiple correspondences with the regional supervisor, who finally intervened, allowing me to make a payment over the phone, avoiding any risky travel or in person contact. Third, the facility arbitrarily increased my rent during the middle of the Covid pandemic. That is a commercial decision, but you would think they would try to cut their customers a break during the Covid pandemic, not take advantage of a distressing situation, assuming most people would rather pay the increase versus risk the health consequences of relocating. Finally, I notified the facility via email that I would be moving out by a specific date (I reached my limit, and was completely fed up), to which they never responded. Yet, they still attempted to charge me an additional month of rent, having already received sufficient prior notice that I would be vacating their facility. Unbelievable. To be clear, this is not an indictment of Cubesmart generally, but rather a specific rental location, and it only reflects my personal experience. If I could rate them any lower, I would.

Such a wonderful staff! They took their time, had patience and weren’t rushed to explain all details of terms. Very upfront. Tichina really took care of my family and I. She even placed me on the waitlist for another service. What really made the experience better is that it wasn’t just Tichina who was wonderful, Carmen and Vidya were extremely helpful as well. Great pricing and location, even with renting the unit the night before! They have made a customer for life! Take into consideration Brenda and Aida’s service, above and beyond. I am giving three stars because the process was less than perfect and had me panicking when I got there but the GM sacrificed her time and ended up helping me out. I was told on the phone by Krystal that the facility closed at 3:30 and I based my day around that. When I got to the facility at 3:15 I was told they closed at 3:00 when I had a moving truck full of bins that needed to be stored and originally was told by the GM multiple times she would not help me but eventually did. In the end, that's all that matters, getting the help. The facility is clean, my locker was in good condition and I hope to be able to use this facility for as long as I need.

The worst... Run away from this place don't do business with them. Prices are way steep and they keep soaring each year by at least $80/year... ridiculous and unfair business. Clean facility, helpful staff. I gave them a 3 out of 5 because I didn't feel their advertising gives you the full details. They don't mention in their ads that their is an administrative fee or that you have to pay for your own lock. I don't fault the local staff they were good to work with.

Great experience! Brenda from the front desk was so nice and helpful. She took the time to show us several spaces, didn't rush us while we looked, and she was so friendly! The facility was extremely clean and it had a great flow. Prices were also the best we found for the space. We ended up renting without going to any other place to look.

I don’t leave reviews often, but I’m trying to save you here. I would rate zero if I could. Absolute cr@p and customer service is non existent. Roberta is useless. Additionally, Rates go up about 10% every 6 months and the store manager is an absolute terror. IYKYK. Don’t fall for the initial low prices cause they balloon up the charge very rapidly. Might as well spend the money with a business that cares about their customers! When I 1st signed up, the company must have been under different management. I left a (now replaced) 5 star review for my service and treatment. Gone to absolute trash over the last 3 yrs!

Brenda was a breath of fresh air. They closed at 3 on a Sunday and I showed up late at about 2:45 and she was so considerate in helping me with my unit and I had my young son with me. Those are the kind of people that you need giving great customer service in any capacity ! #5stars

Disappointed with their service. They increased the rental cost without any notice and the person sitting on the front desk doesnt know what customer service means. Highly disappointed! A place I would not recommend.

My recent experience at CubeSmart and with Vanessa who arranged for me to transfer from one unit to another was a very positive one. I was so pleased that she was able to find a unit very close to my first space making the move as easy as possible. She was helpful in finding me the most economical way to downsize which is very much appreciated. She treated me like it was her own business and really seemed to care about making it a satisfactory customer experience

Changed to CubeSmart and I am looking to move our stuff. We've had this unit for ages and now, not only have the prices soared, the service has plummeted. I don't understand. I paid the bill, and I got an email saying that the bill is past due, 2 days in a row. Are they going to evict our stuff now? Who needs that type of service? This is nuts.

Brenda and Vanessa are GREAT! I had a difficult situation and they were sooooo accommodating! People like Brenda and Vanessa are hard to find. As long as those two are there and I'm in Fairfield County I will ONLY store here! I went to every other place in the area and they were BY FAR the most accommodating! THANK YOU!!

Formerly "Affordable Storage" was recently acquired by CubeSmart (or Unaffordable Storage). They immediately increased rentals by 20% and charged late fees when automatic payment plans were discontinued due to their failed transition. Then the manager exhibits the worst customer service attitude and says it's my fault. I was a long time Affordable storage customer with automatic payment plan and never a problem in years and then this? This is the worst example of inferior management and putting the customer LAST. CubeSmart's motto: caveat emptor!

UPDATE: Now that this place has turned into CubeSmart, the staff has been rude and unprofessional on numerous occasion over the phone and in person. This is the last straw: Clearly there were errors in their transition to CubeSmart and my code stopped working (TWO other people behind me were in the same boat). I go to the counter and I tell them my code is not working. And the first thing I get is "Did you pay your bill?" rather than "Let me look into the system." I don't mind the question as much as I minded how it was asked by a very rude "manager" who's clearly unhappy with her life choices. I said "Yes." She looked at the system. Probably had to trigger something to reactivate my account. Then said, "You're good." No explanation, no apology for her rudeness... none. I asked, "So my bill is paid right?" She answers "Yes. You're good." Worst effin' experience ever. That said, I'm moving my stuff out of this place. Not worth the hassle and aggravation. I wouldn't want to deal with them if I do get late on my payment by a couple of days. ************************************************* Five Star: Best and affordable storage units in the area. The staff are pleasant!

I currently have a unit at Affordable, and I don't know what I would do without it! lol I moved from a house to a condo with a lot less space and have had a unit for the past 3 years. The place is clean,and the people there are really nice. Definitely a great place to store your stuff!!
