This location is the worse location ever the elevator broke down every week I been a customer for years paying full price renting two units plus members of my family renting units here elevator constantly braking having to go across the building to get to our unit is an inconvenience we pay full price do not rent here …. Had 2 large units here while waiting to move out of FL. It is a very decent place. Always clean with the staff very pleasant. It is extremely secure with an overly enthusiastic system for customers to get to their units. It's air conditioning is at 78 which can feel warm when moving a lot. And the floors are a maze but you get used to it once you know where you are located. Bring your own lock or you will pay too much for one. The parking situation can be a mess so go on off hours. Otherwise it's a great place.

Main elevator to my unit has been out of order 3x in the past year, while using alternative elevator on the other side of the building. I was locked in between two wooden doors. When I went to call the main office to have them come and let me out I called four times and nobody picked up which led me to the only exit to the garage, therefore I had to walk all the way around the building to enter the storage facility lady in the office is not friendly

I've been with Cubesmart for years and you can ALWAYS count on them raising your rates every 3-6 months. With the increase in rates you think they would at least buy more carts for their customers to use, but nope. That is another huge problem here, customers hoarding carts, management needs to implement a better process but they do nothing cause supposedly their so busy checking customers in/out. At this location the A/C went out for three months and they didn't have the honesty to provide notice to their customers and compensate/ or reimburse them for paying 100% percent of their bills while customers did not get 100% of their service that they paid for. We are paying a premium for indoor storage with A/C. Lastly, their so unethical, and money hungry they even charge you an additional convenience fee when you use their online portal to pay your monthly bills.

Storage Rental Facilities are all basically the same, with price tending to be the only differential as those of us who have dealt with the industry are aware of. THAT, HOWEVER, COULD NOT BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH ABOUT CUBESMART LOCATED AT 1500 GATEWAY BLVD, BOYNTON BEACH!. Due to the ever increasing prices at another facility, I had been attempting to make the move from that facility to 1500’s for three months. During that time, I had reservation after reservation after reservation so many times that the ladies at the facility and I were on first name basis. I made these poor women insane. The thing is that no matter how crazed I made them, they always maintained their professionalism and good nature. I was annoyed with myself, how they weren’t baffles me but I am very grateful for it. Fast forward to the day the move actually happened…. everything went wrong, naturally! We, the movers and myself, intended to be at 1500 no later than 3:00, best laid plans and all. In actuality, I ran into the location at 9 minutes to 5:00, aka: closing. I was a babbling idiot who could not make heads or tails out of what I was being told. I was an absolute wreck on the verge of losing it. I was done, as was my brain and my emotions but enter Mariann and her caring nature. Not only did Mariann calm me down, she repeated all the instructions a good 5 or 6 times and when she realized it still wasn’t processing, she actually walked me through the process. She treated me with kid’s gloves and made sure I was good to go before she left. She actually let me hug her, crazy but true! I may have still been shaken by the events of the day but I was human again and that’s purely because of Mariann and how she took care of this babbling idiot. I literally owe her my sanity. I do also have to say the young woman working with Mariann, I am sorry I forgot your name, was as nice as could be. She would make jokes to break up my tension, she validated my complaints of how the day went and she smiled consistently. People underestimate the power of a smile aimed at you. It, and she, made tons of a difference. I started this by saying only price differentiates storage rental companies and while 1500 Gateway has the BEST rates BY FARRRRR, Mariann is the crowning glory. She is the best part of 1500 and dare I say, I love her. CubeSmart, don’t ever lose my Mariann!!!!! Rent at 1500 and you will immediately see for yourself what I am telling you as the truth. You, too, will walk away loving Mariann!!!!!!

I switched my storage out for a smaller one and I was initially assisted by Juan who was very helpful and personable and he scheduled me for my check out and check in to my new space and made it easy for me. When I came to move, Maryann and Shaina were there to greet me and they continued the great service making it super easy for me to check out and check back into my new unit. All 3 of them were the definition of “teamwork makes the dream work,” and I appreciate their level of customer service. Diane was exceptional and helped us secure a space quickly and easily. She gets 5-stars. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because, although we paid more for an lll climate controlled unit, the AC doesn’t work very well and one can get hot and sweaty in a short amount of time. Otherwise I highly recommend the place.

The ladies who manage this location are fantastic.. Daisy and MaryAnne are always helpful and recently made accommodations for transfer to a larger unit- seamlessly, at the last minute on a Sat. afternoon. You won’t find a better or cleaner location than this for your storage needs.. even though prices tend to rise over time and the elevator to my side is frequently broken, the facility is still very accessible from inside of a parking garage or through a separate dock area which any height vehicle would fit into. The people make the difference here as stated above, and would recommend this location to anyone in the area needing storage space. I wish they would allow access later than 10pm. however, is what it is. Overall a 10/10 for customer service!

The elevator has been broken for months!! They’ve taken a pretext that the pandemic has affected getting parts to fix it. In truth, I don’t know think they want to spend the money. My mom and I pay almost $500 for one storage. Our storage is the first one as soon as you exit the now broken elevator. It was great because she is disabled. It’s extremely painful for her to walk even short distance. Her having to walk all the way from the other side of the building to our storage and then back, or having to take the stairs is excruciating. We’ve contacted the storage about fixing the elevator, they gave us the same spiel about COVID making it hard to get parts. Renaissance storage needs to fix this elevator now.

The move from our previous storage facility could not have been any better! From the gentleman from the national call center who gave me information to our local contact at Renaissance Self Storage--Mariann Ramos--everything has been just perfect. I came here after going to check in at Public Storage only to find out their location was infested with rats. The Renaissance location was in a better spot and offering a really great discount when I reserved my unit. The check in process was amazing and Erik was so efficient and professional. I appreciated their assistance in helping me at the last minute and really like the facility. very clean, good temperature, and loading/unloading friendly.

Very clean storage, but not the most convenient way to get moving trucks in and out. Customer service is also helpful. My only major issue is the price increases. Current customers should never be manipulated into a price increase, this should only be for new incoming customers. There’s no logical reasoning for this to happen when your operating a business with low overhead cost. The only answer to that is GREED!! Unfortunately, long term customers have no way to counteract these wicked acts besides moving out.

Mariann was pretty awesome in finding out what my needs were and helping choose the right size storage unit. So funny that was my original review when I went there very stressed out a sudden sale and move from my place due to COVID-19 related issues. They tacked a few extra charges on which I paid. The worst part was while parked in their underground area on camera my car was hit while parked. I noticed it within 15 minutes of it happening and they refused to check the cameras saying that they didn’t have control of the cameras where my car was hit. All this time I am in their sales area starring at my car (parked in the same place that it was hit two weeks before) both staff members while playing around online, barely acknowledged that I was a customer standing right in front of them. They also had access to my storage as one of my window art paintings disappeared!!! With a lock that they provided. I would rather paid more money somewhere else. Just not to be treated in such an awful manner by these unkind nitwits that could careless about their customer. Shop some where else if you want your valuables to be safe.

The facility was without Air Conditioning for July and August even though the space was supposed to be "climate controlled." After only a few months, the facility raised the rate by nearly 20%. They sent a mailer stating the increase on a post card with a font of about 5 or 6 point. It very much looked like junk mail. Don't think for a moment that was not on purpose.

They seem to have better sizes than Public Storage as well.

The Manager, George was very nice and professional. The facility is incredibly well maintained. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is for lack of carts. I got there around 12:30 and it took an hour of waiting before one became available. I still recommend this location, but if you’re moving on a weekend, get there early.

George the general manager took the time to show me around and the location and size of my unit as I was unsure. Facilities are clean, extremely safe and Secure as well as a great location. Update: Finally, after over a year or so, I was assigned a different space, which is better. Also, the price has more than doubled since I first became a customer. Then again, I got my space on a special, so I assume they are trying to get me to pay more. The increases are 2, maybe 3 times a year...I am paying below average, so I don't complain. So 3 stars from 1. I have been happy with the location, price and customer service, as everyone has been polite. My problem is that the temperature has been in the 80s since July. I have called several times to notify. I was told a District manager would call. No call. I was told a Regional Manager would call... No call... I come to this storage weekly as I work remotely and I store my work materials here. Now today, not only is the temperature 82 degrees, but also, there is a puddle on the floor! I called only to be told I would get a call back. I dont care about the call, I just want this fixed as I am paying for climate controlled storage. Not to mention this puddle is a hazard, and I'd hate for someone's belongings to get damaged. Just fix it. Thanks.

I like the security and proximity to my home. But what I dislike is that I am not even six months into my rental agreement, and already, they have mailed me a lease increase notice... Unbelievable! , with everything that is going on in the country due to COVID-19. I would expect that at least they would stick with the original rent price for a minimum of 12 months... Renaissance Self Storage send me an email requesting my review. Here it is. I trust Google reviews. In my search for a storage unit I read the reviews and did the price comparison and made my decision to go with Renaissance. When I arrived to sign up and pay I was told there is an additional $12/month charge for insurance. When I checked online their website said there will be a monthly charge of $29.25 and a one-time $24.00 admin fee. That's it. No mention of insurance fees anywhere I could find. I think all the storage companies do this and it's wrong. The woman at the front desk was professional and the layout of the storage facility is very nice. I just don't like to being lied to. Also, because this is a month to month they can raise the rates anytime and at whatever price they want. Do your research.

Used them for a transitional period moving from one place to another. If we decided not to move would’ve kept for the price and ease of getting things in an out of the unit. Units are AC controlled and felt comfortable leaving my vinyl collection there as well as other important items. Mariann was very helpful with helping me find the right size unit for my stuff. Plenty of carts to help move stuff in and out at the loading dock.

They make the storage experience as easy as possible, however when we needed a larger storage space the one we received had an obstruction that significantly reduced the available space. When we went to the office to request a reduction in price because we are paying for storage space we are not getting, they told us that is your policy. That is an abuse of your customers. We have no quarrel with your employees, but we strenuously object to your unfair charges for space not available to us!

Had a good experience with Gary AT FIRST even tho he kept hassling me about a review now the downside to my experience and why I rated it so low was that they do not prorate they would not help with prorating my monthly charge I basically paid for a month and the unit was empty for 2 of those weeks, also they make a courtesy call prior to your move in date and I was not told of the monthly insurance charge when they made that call so I was charge more than what I was originally quoted or that they needed 2 weeks to vacate and got a rude attitude from Gary even tho I spoke to someone in customer service weeks before about my move out date so no communication between customer service and the manager. The area is clean, cool with a/c in the units but the experience I had wasn’t a great one. I would take my money elsewhere.

Gary the Manager is awesome. He goes way above and beyond for his customers. I have 2 storage rooms and I told my sister and she got 2 rooms also ! We love it. Great set up and if its raining no transporting items in the rain, no soggy items (covered loading area).... now thats priceless :-)

Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about this storage place! First of all, Gary is awesome. He is so nice, helpful, understanding, all of the things! He got me all set up in my first unit in like, an hour. Then when some life changes happened and I needed a bigger unit a couple months later, he made sure to get me one right next to my old one so that transferring would be a breeze. Highly recommend this place!

Renaissance Self Storage is a great location - Gary is professional, considerate, and all around wonderful! The units are clean and air-conditioned, and the service is wonderful. Gary took me around to check the units before offering me one that would work so I could switch into a smaller unit that is more convenient for me. I've tried other locations as so far this is the only place I would ever consider for storage!

Gary was so nice and professional! He called the day before to confirm my reservation. When I got there with my belongings he showed me around to make sure the unit was the desired size and did all the paperwork pretty quick. I gave four stars for two different reasons: first, they seemed to be understaffed in that location. With only Gary there it took a bit longer to check in than I would have liked; however, working in retail I completely understand. He balanced every customer quickly and efficiently. Second; they have a loading zone with one elevator. When I finally was able to get to the loading zone a customer had her moving company parked in one space and her personal car parked in the other. This means I had to park my moving truck pretty far away from the elevator. I think it would have been better to ask her to park in the parking lot in the front where personal vehicles were supposed to be so the loading/unloading trucks could be parked in the designated spaces.

Ms Lisa and Mr Gary provided the best service, they were detailed oriented were able to answer questions before I could asked. I am retiring from the military after 28 years. I initially reserved one storage unit but decided it would be better to get two based on the superior service I received. I was having issues with my movers, I had to wait 4 hours for them to come. Ms. Lisa offered cold water and the used of an android charger. She was very polite and kind. The establishment was clean and provided moving charts. I strongly recommend Renaissance Self Storage to everyone.

I had to move down to South Florida very quickly due to a family emergency and needed storage space asap as I will be living with family for time being. I researched several different companies as well as several different CubeSmart locations. I chose CubeSmart on Gateway as the whole facility is climate controlled and I did my research and was impressed by the good reviews I read about the manager Gary. Every review on Gary is totally on point - he was knowledgable, professional, and made me feel that my personal items would be kept safely at this facility. My daughter Jennifer has been renting a unit in Renaissance Self Storage at Gateway for almost 5 years now. She has expressed that the customer service is incredible, especially working with Gary. He is always exceptionally helpful and always works with her to find the best unit to fit her needs and to offer the best price available. She has had to make changes to her unit size and was very pleased at how great Gary was in meeting her needs and making it a smooth transition. She has stated that it is by far the cleanest storage place she's ever rented from and is always very well lit. The facility was very clean, and our unit was perfect for what we needed. The manager was great, and helpful throughout our use of the unit. We only needed it for 6 months. This place is in a beautiful location, so whenever we had to make a run to the storage unit, it was convenient and pleasant. Access into our unit, via elevator, was very smooth. Most times that we went, we were able to park at the perfect spot next to the entry. Access to the elevator and unit were really easy. We occasionally saw others on our floor, but it was almost like we had the floor to ourselves. I felt very safe there, even when I was alone. The unit was in great shape, and the lift door functioned well. If it weren't for the extra monthly expense, I would keep a smaller unit there forever, just to store suitcases and odd items that take up so much closet space in a small condo.

I love that this facility is in the Renaissance Commons complex with its attractive appearance and such, yet is still competitively priced with the average self-storage place. The staff at Renaissance Self Storage are great!! The facility is clean, safe and secure. The loading area is covered making it convenient to load and unload especially when weather conditions aren't ideal. The manager Gary was very helpful and knowledgeable. When we explained our storage needs to Gary, he suggested better storage choices that remained within our storage budget. During our last visit we misplaced our entry key and Gary went beyond the call of duty to help us find it. This type of customer service is impeccable!!

Trying to get an extra day or two prorated starting April 27th due to unforeseen circumstances. Gary advised that this was a corporate office decision. The corporate office advised me that this was a local decision. Hoping someone with decision making ability is able to grant our simple and reasonable request. I work for one of the largest companies in the world, each day we are able to bend our policies to do what is right by our customers. Maybe Cubesmart will return the favor? I was assisted by Gary Ruffin in the office. He was great, he took me up to see the unit so I knew how big it was and was even prepared to make allowances if I wanted another. He helped me figure out how many boxes I needed to complete packing and moving out, even opened the unit a couple days early so I could begin moving most of the little stuff myself. Really wonderful folks over there...helpful and had answers to all my questions. You always think a storage unit is no big deal until you get there. They made it easy!

I had an issue with management. But i called ernesto the district manager and expressed how i felt like their was a misunderstanding. He agreed with me apologized and we came to a resolution. Gary was very professional with me throughout the time i rented my unit. He even followed up with his general manager Jennifer and they helped me get my refund because of the inconvenience and the misunderstanding. Overall my experience with renaissance was positive, just needed an outdoor storage unit for my paints which i quickly found.

The facility is clean and bright. I've been with them for the past 4+years and have had no problems. The management staff is friendly and helpful too. I've looked at other storage facilities in the area and the prices have been comparable for what you get. I wanted a clean, accessible A/C unit and this was still the best option. Parking can get a bit tricky if there are a lot of people at once and if a worker from one of the restaurants has a car parked in the loading area but, other than that, its a good facility.
