Be very aware that Cube Smart will raise the rate so extremely high and penalize you instead of rewarding you for being a long-term customer. When you speak to somebody, they tell you, oh well that’s going Rate. Which is complete BS when you call their competitors it’s a third of the cost!

The property is not safeguarded as the on-site employee or resident does not keep the property locked. The gate that separates the exterior to the interior has been left wide open for the past week. On multiple occasions, the access door (which is supposed to be controlled by a special pin number issued to each customer) to the inside storage lockers was left wide open attempts were made to contact the on-site manager who never answers the phone so the one 800 number Had to be called to report what was going on. The website advertises climate control storage units. However, every time I went inside, it was very, very hot And uncomfortable. No, I don’t recommend the storage facility unless they actually take proactive steps to safeguard the property.

Edit: In response to cube smart's response. Here is the problem. They refused to treat me respectfully by decreasing my rate to the published rate at the store when I requested this. They forced me to move out which took several days and multiple trips emptying a 10 x 12 locker that was completely filled to the ceiling. Now after I have moved out, they want me to email them? What are they going to do other than to upset me more. They did not take care of me a week ago when I was still a customer. Instead of doing the right thing they treated me like dirt and tried to continue to charge me $250 a month. Disgusting. No one wants to play a game begging to get treated fairly. They should have done the right thing to begin with and treat their customers respectfully. I guess they want people who read the reviews to see they are responding and believe they care. Terrible way to do business. In 3 years my rent went from approximately $90 to $250. New owners cube smart Knowing I had a large locker and it was completely filled told me they weren't willing to change the price to what they are advertising on the internet. They said they could come down to 150 if I went to the third floor. That would mean I'd have to move the entire locker from the first floor up to the third floor. My storage unit was packed full from the largest U-Haul trailer. Just disgusting way to treat people knowing that I had no choice but to pay the ridiculous fee of $250 a month for a 10x12 unit. These people will not treat you appropriately. Once they get you in they will raise the rates on you knowing that you have no choice but to pay them or move and nobody wants to move. It's disgusting. What's more disgusting is that I've been renting there for several years paying every month even after they raised the rates and all they had to do was bring me down to a reasonable rate like that on the internet and continue to take my money. I decided just to move out. I don't want to be giving them any more my money. I'm not begging them to lower the rates. I took my stuff out and decided they did not deserve my business or my money. The units are okay. There was a problem with bugs at one time. I like it because it is air conditioned. However, most times when I came they didn't have enough trolleys. If you need to use it just keep in mind that they're going to raise the rates up on you and they're not nice people. You get absolutely nothing more for the raised rates.

Manager was very helpful and nice. The company is constantly raising rates once you are in. Then they give outrageous promos for new renters. They would benefit from not raising the rents every 3-6 months and keeping loyal customers who pay on time. They would rather have a revolving door. Which makes no sense. Absolutely ridiculous the rate increases. The day my rate was $411 and the day after I left I saw that my spot was advertised at $246. I paid early every single month for years and was a model tenant. Why would CubeSmart not offer me the discounted rate instead of looking for a new customer? Stay away from this place at all costs. I was able to find vehicle parking not even a mile away for half the price in a much more secure and safer location. In addition, they have dozens of cats and kittens all over the place. And my catalytic converters were stolen off of my truck. There were no cameras conveniently to capture this!

Great service from Alex. He made my experience much less stressful. The only thing I did not like was SmartRental. I reserved space for a specific date. I wanted to get the paperwork out of the way so I didn't have to read and sign all the agreements on move in day. Doing that started my move in date before my reservation date. That is not what I wanted. I think CubeSmart should consider an option to fill out the agreements paperwork online and honor my selected reservation date. Overall everything worked out and I thank Alex for making my short storage stay a great experience. I would rent space here again based on my interaction with him.

I used to have a storage unit there for about a year, and I had to leave because the rent kept going up too fast seemed like every month it went up. Good location for a business owner not far from the turnpike. Limited on the spaces for big vehicles though. The guy who runs the place is very nice and helpful. Even the outside units were dry, clean and they must spray for bugs because I saw some body around lol. Good job! Only wish they would keep the rent at more of a steady price for a longer term I would have probably stayed.

I was very excited to find a CubeSmart right near my home. We wanted to store items for one month in-between moves to make it easier to transition our family. I first started by comparing CubeSmart to the other storage facilities. Price-wise- CubeSmart was the least expensive so I chose them. That is the first and onyl reason since I have three places within two miles of my home. Once I chose it, I reserved it online and moved forward. When I went to check in - the price was $40 higher due to "admin fees" and another $10 to rent their "free" truck. Totally felt stuck and I couldn't back it. The company has you at that point since you are standing there ready to store items and have people helping to load. To "borrow" the free truck, it is $10 cash and $100 deposit of cash but when we were checking out at 2PM - we find out that it has to be back by 5PM. This timing was short but at this point, I am not going to argue over this or the extra $50 I felt I paid. The truck had all of the warning lights (check engine, low tires, etc.) and ran like a horse drawn carraige, but it did the job for the short time. To sum it up, I felt a little bit of a bait and switch with the pricing structure. I would not have chose CubeSmart if I would have known it was $50 more than what my quote was when I did the reservation and checkout online. Live and Learn from me.

I have been storing here for 4 years and had a good experience. I had 2 rooms and wanted to consolidate to 1. I received a call from the manager, Sofhia Knowles to tell me that a specific room became available. Sofhia could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I needed time to get to the unit. No problem. A week later I went to the office and signed a contract. She gave me credit for the other units, gave me time to move in and allowed me to stay an extra day in the units due to a personal issue. Always with a smile, trying to do what is right for the customer. I recommend Sofhia and Cubesmart with a strong 5 star rating. Go for the smile, stay for the storage.

She was so polite and helpful in regards to the materials I needed to pack, the size of the unit, and guided me through my otherwise unpleasant experience of moving and making it rather pleasant. Her professional appearance and demeanor is an asset to your company. She should not go on noticed. I will also suggest that she be recognized as a star employee. She also recommended a mover for me and I was very satisfied. I went to potentially get some storage space at the CubeSmart on Boynton Beach Boulevard. On my way there, I received a call from Alex. He was confirming my reservation that I made online, and was wondering if I could find the time to stop in so he can show me the unit. I told him I was close and would be there in 5 minutes. When I walked in, I was greeted by Alex, who proceeded to tell me everything I needed to know and to answer all of my questions. Alex was so helpful, and i got my storage space. When going to CubeSmart I don’t think of anything. I go, get my stuff and then leave. But today was different as I was packing up my car with containers an employee Jim Lay (who I come to find out later is the General Manager) put down his mop and bucket and helped me without me even thinking to ask for him. We started talking and I come to realize Jim has worked in the automotive industry as I do now. He shared some stories and I’ve learned a thing or two from our short conversation. Today I thought that I was going to the storage unit to only pick up Easter plates and go home. My trip to CubeSmart ended up being more enjoyable then I thought it could be. Alex at the Boynton Beach Blvd was Awesome!! My wife and I was looking for a storage unit and we were desperate!! We had to return the rental truck and didn't want to pay to keep it an additional day. It was close to 6pm and the CubeSmart's office was closing soon! My wife called and Alex reassured her that he would wait for us to get there. He is fantastic!! He waited at least 10 minutes after closing for us. He didn't rush us and gave us lots of information!! On 2/27/17 at approximately 1:30 PM I arrived at the Cube Smart located at 7358 W. Boynton Beach Blvd, my wife had arrived earlier and was speaking to Mr. Dave Hale, Cube Smart Customer Service Representative. We were discussing new rental requirements. As I was entering an elderly lady named Edith Unger approached the front entrance she was obviously under duress by her demeanor. I asked how she was and she stated that "She didn't know what to do that her vehicle was stuck in a ditch down a side road that runs parallel or adjacent to the Cube Smart facility." Mr. Hale also reacted and could see she was very stressed. I calmed her down and assured her we would solve her issue. She asked Mr. Hale if she could use his telephone since she had just acquired a new cell phone and was not familiar with it. He graciously agreed and she contacted her insurance provider to arrange to be towed. It took over 5 hours to dispatch and arrange the tow truck to come to the Cube Smart location and assist her. Mr. Hale went out of his way by providing the telephone for use over the six hour wait for the tow truck and coordination with Mrs. Unger's insurance provider. Mrs. Unger is 93 years young and still drives, however one can only imagine the stress and condition she was in when she entered the Cube Smart for help. Not only had she gotten her vehicle stuck but she had to walk a good tenth of a mile plus in searing Florida Heat. Without Mr. Hale's assistance and kindness no telling how much more difficult would Mrs. Unger's ordeal have been. In addition Mr. Hale was very helpful in conducting our business in a reasonable and effective manner. This Cube Smart's customer service at this location has improved dramatically since Mr. George Ramos, Store Manager took over. Prior to his arrival I found staff to be stoic in their attitude toward customer concerns, specifically I got the impression that they were not customer orientated. Mr. Ramos and his now promoted assistant have been excellent, They convey a willingness to put the customer concerns first, and offer alternatives in order to also meet the Cube Smart sales needs as well. Mr. Hale obviously is also included in that opinion. His actions in assisting Mrs. Unger should be highlighted as an employee who used compassion, understanding and simply did "The Right Thing!" at a time of need. Hat's Off to Mr. David Hale for a an outstanding job." He should be recognized company wide for his great act to assist an elderly women in need. Chose Cube Smart because it's only a mile or so from home. George was extremely pleasant and helpful when I reserved my space pre-move. Completing the transaction on moving day was quick and easy. My only complaint is that there is a large boat stored right in front of the hallway entrance to my space so my movers were unable to back up to the entrance which meant it took additional time and effort to unload and store my things. I can't understand why a boat would be parked blocking an entrance. I did ask and was told that there is no way that boat will be moved.

I would give them 10 stars if I could. I stopped in to see what units were available as my current storage facility was not being kept up. Maritza greeted me with a big welcome smile. We talked and she showed me the unit & I mentioned I had to talk with my current facility to see what the procedure was. Maritza introduced me to George and instantly I could see a pleasant work atmosphere and a willingness to help and treat a customer as a persson and not an annoyance. Maritza said she would be happy to place a reservation the unit I wanted, and I could cancel if my current facility gave me a hard time. NO problem, I came in later and George did the paperwork, very professional, explained everything I signed and he wanted to be sure I understood everything and had no questions. Maritza came in from showing a unit with people and gave me a big hello - I felt welcomed. Needless to say anyone I know that will need a storage facility will be directed to Cube Smart, Boynton Beach.
