I came here a couple months ago to move all of my stuff out of my ex-boyfriend storage and sign up for my own storage space. Everything has been super quick easy. The staff has always been friendly. The place is clean and I never have any problems with having to pay online or by phone or going to go pick up my things it’s Not very crowded when I come and I never have any problems finding a trolley to pick up my stuff.

I'm always impressed at how clean and well kept this storage facility is. I was having difficulties moving a few boxes. We stored our things at this Cube Smart location for about two years while we were in between homes. I am leaving two stars because MOST of our time at Cube Smart was fine. But things took a turn for the worse within the last few months of our storage. Within the last few months, we began to notice rat droppings in the hallway and our unit. Eventually, our things became chewed up, and even more covered with rat urine and rat droppings. We had addressed this issue with the manager, Gus, several times. He claimed that they were trying to "nip the problem in the bud." But that problem was well past the budding stage; it was fully developed, flowered, and bloomed. On the day we moved our things out of the storage unit, the smell was overwhelming. Of course there was a dead rat in the unit. It was on top of a cloth suitcase. The rat had already started to decay and essentially melt into the suitcase. The chairs of our dining room table were completely chewed up. There were many things we had to discard because of the sheer amount of rat excrement. The dead rat was undoubtedly a result of the rat poison that was carelessly tossed into our unit without us knowing. I'm sure this was an attempt to "nip the problem in the bud." We had our child's baby toys and clothes in that storage unit. Once again, the manager could only offer his apologies. We contacted Cube Smart Corporate, to which they responded with absolutely nothing. If you can avoid this Cube Smart, please do so. Try to donate your things if possible. Not only did Cube Smart not help with our concern, but they actually made our problems worse with their inaction and poor decision-making once it was too late. EDIT: As you can probably see below this review, Cube Smart commented and said to reach out. I did (again), and they literally did not even respond to my email. Again, if you can avoid this place, do so.

I've had a unit here for the past 2 years, but fell onto hard times - was even close to loosing the unit all together. Denise, the amazing manager of this location, made sure I had all the information I needed to feel safe and at ease. Despite the attention from office manager is good, the problem is the access to the site. It doesn't work properly. Not even the app. During last 4 days has been impossible to use the access code. I'm frustrated having a full loaded truck charging by hour and not been able to download the stuff. Lost of time and money... Any solution? Any other option available?

For the 3 months everything was fine, then I get a notice of a rate increase. I understand that sometimes storage place need to update their rates but I thought as a new customer I'd have a year. Oh well, I guess a rate increase of like $10 a month is fine, but it wasn't $10 a month. They raised my rate by $52 a MONTH!!! Guess they figured I wasn't going to go through the hassle of moving everything out, LOL!!! So if you're looking to be completely ripped off and taken advantage of then this is the place for you.

I want to thank Denise and Gus for their help today. Denise called me today to ask me if we had changed our lock. The current lock did not have a CubeSmart sticker on it. I went over and confirmed it was not our lock. Gus then removed the existing lock, I verified all items were our and nothing appeared to be missing. I then replace the lock with a CubeSmart lock. I made a reservation and due to traffic and rain arrived at closing time. They didn't send me away, and even though they were packing to leave, they made me feel welcome, gave me a great unit, first floor by the entrance as requested.. Clean, like new facility, gated, very well lit, and with A/C... and great staff. Highly recommend.

Rude employees, inflexible policies, poor tracking systems I had a unit at the State Rd 84 location in Davie, FL, and was planning to move my stuff to another CubeSmart location. Because of Hurricane Irma, I had to delay my move, and went over my cutoff date. I called the store to see if they would be flexible on the date, because of the circumstances. They didn't and I paid an extra month. I went next weekend to move my stuff and swinged by the office few minutes before their close time. The employee was extremely rude pointing they were already closed. Finally I moved out next day, and made sure all was clean, stopped by the office and requested a receipt that the unit was delivered back to their satisfaction. I got the paper, and today I got a call from their office mentioning something about a $200 cleanup charge!! Fortunately I took pictures, and refuted the allegations that I didn't clean up. CubeSmart - you lost a customer for life.

On July 23, I contacted the CubeSmart call center inquiring about the rental of a storage space at the Davie, FL location. I was quoted 114.00 per month for a 10x5 unit adjusted to $102.60 after a 10% discount "special" for an "indeterminate" time. After going to the facility and doing the paperwork, I was then advised that there was a mandatory $12.00 per month added charge for "Protection Plan 2,000 Coverage". That amounted to $144. per year more at that rate. The company makes money on selling the insurance policies for what amounts to a very high for small space. The important issue is that CubeSmart is MISLEADING consumers by informing them about the forced insurance purchase only after the paperwork process has begun. They are DECEPTIVE and UNETHICAL in their selling practices by not disclosing over the telephone the true full cost of the rental until the customer is there and ready to sign. The obvious advantage to CubeSmart is that many customers like myself don't have the time to spend searching for the best deal and end up renting it anyway. CubeSmart seems to assume the customers are not so smart and that they are doing Smart business. It is now clear why the Public Storage facility directly next door to CubeSmart appeared to have higher rates for equivalent spaces. Shame on you CubeSmart !

I called the police and was out within 30 mins. Lol Wished the desk clerk emphasized the importance of "leaving" the property by 10pm or had a sign posted. I was under the impression I wouldn't be able to get in after 10pm.

Impeccable customer service is what I receive everytime I contact this location. Sasha always exceeds my expectations for class "A" service, the facility is clean and the staff is extremely professional. I would recommend this location 100 times over.
