I wouldn't refer this storage company to anyone. They allow people to go in your unit without any kind of notification. They don't know what's going on in the office. The issuance they carry doesn't cover anything unless their building is damaged at your opening and even then they refuse to pay out for damages received. And if you have damage to your unit it takes a very long time to fix it.

Fast forward 6 months and now you see the real story. Instead of no rate increase as McKenna assured me, I received a 25% increase after 6 months! I tried calling several times to discuss ,left two detailed messages and have been completely ignored. This is definitely a bait and switch from signing up. They can ignor calls and not respond because my stuff is there and a pain to move. Definitely don't buy into the front end experience, it does not last. I finally received a call back and got a ton of excuses from a very unhelpful associate who said rates are adjusted at various times based on the market "just like the housing market". She was emphatic there was nothing she could do and despite having a conversation regarding the situation, she hung up on me. Corporate should listen to today's call regarding this individual. Super friendly and helpful staff. McKenna is a delight to work with. The units and enire grounds are very clean. Welcome package is a very nice touch. I highly using CubeSmart.

Wish I could give this zero stars, Don't bother spending the extra money on climate control units. All of our fabric and clothing molded because our specific hallway was a lot warmer than everybody else's and you pay extra for insurance just for them to kick back any claims because you wave your right to pretty much any damage caused by mold. Even no, they had a giant humidifier machine in our hallway for months because of a water problem. Will never rent from this company again. We lost at least $1,000 worth of stuff.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I am writing to inform anyone that is considering using CubeSmart, NOT to use them. In the 16 months that I have been a customer, I have had an 80% rate increase without any reasonable notice informing me of this (a postcard 1 week before my billing date that my bill will be increased by $50 is hardly a sufficient notice). After speaking to another reputable storage company in the area, they informed me that CubeSmart is NOTORIOUS for rate increases every 90-120 day and quoted me $90 less for the same sized storage unit. MORE importantly, they only do rate increases either annually or every other year and no more than 10%. CubeSmart has a horrible business model and does not prioritize customer service AT ALL!!

The facility closes to the public from 10pm to 5am. They will lock you in it if you're not out prior to that time. Staff will literally follow you around and stare while loading/unloading your unit. Extremely intrusive.

This company will give you a great rate at first and then hike the price up by 60 percent. They have you sign for insurance through assurance, which does not cover anything. Water damage on our wrapped stuff. Water damage from the lever doors having an opening on the top when closed. The staff was okay and normally courteous, but they are paid to be courteous. I personally would not recommend getting a unit, but this is your choice.

After Hurricane Ian, no notification was given by email, USPS, text message, phone call or posting on unit that the location had flooding and personnel were going to break my lock, turn my unit upside down searching for mold and then locking me out. I was unable to access my emergency supplies needed for Hurricane Nicole as well as my client files, newborn baby items, cold weather clothing and bedding, Halloween, Fall and Christmas items. All my items were neatly arranged inside totes and on plastic shelving and sustained no damage from the flood waters that entered my unit. This was extremely inconsiderate of CubeSmart and costly for me to have to hire help to remove my items and rearrange them in other accommodations. All my items were arranged and neatly placed on shelves of various size so as to keep like items together. Now it will be impossible to recreate the proper fitting of totes to shelves without photos of how all were arranged prior to the breach.

I would give ZERO stars if that were an option! Hoping someone starts a class action lawsuit over how things were handled after hurricane damage. The management did not notify anyone of damages, refused to let people in for a few days, then let them in and told them to leave ruined belongings outside the unit, this was over a week after the storm. Now they are not letting anyone in again and want people to make an appointment to access their unit with someone who can verify damages, 3 weeks after the storm. My rent is due in was due two days after I was offered to have someone look at my stuff but I would have to pay another month's rent to be able to do that. Maybe if we would have had some communication I could have salvaged some of my stuff and wouldn't have had a total loss. All that aside, their rates are higher than local competitors. I was actually about to move out and get a unit twice as big at another storage business for the same price. I will never use any Cubesmart again!

I live in Florida and I only rented the unit to save the few remaining items from my flooded house. First off, my first experience was good. Fernado I believe his name was was a model employee. He was polite and honest. He rented me the unit and we began moving our things in the same day. The next day however we were blocked from coming in to deposit more items. The reason given was due to looting (though me and others believe it is so insurance claims could not be filed). However the way in which their employee chose to handle the situation was an unprofesional and inappropriate one. Since my personal truck had a bad starter my boss let me borrow a company vehicle. So mind you this all took place while I was in a vehivle with a company name plastered on the side and I was wearing a work shirt with the same name on it. I tried to type in my passcode and it did not work so I attempted to do so again. That is when an employee came out that deserves to be fired. Here is what he said before I could get a word out. "You can not go in. And just so you know, there is an uncooperative customer in there that I already have the police in with. So, you better watch yourself." That sir is a threat and an unfounded one at that. I had not even said a word. I would not do business with this company and have since removed all items from the unit. As far as I know George was the employees name. However I do wish to thank Fernando and say that he is one of the best people I have met.

I'm posting this on behalf of my parents cause I have been there with them since day one of purchasing the unit almost 3 years ago. Rent increased without any notice even tho the unit didn't have ac half the time when it was supposed to. During hurricane Ian, our unit had flooded and we were not notified. We were told once we got there that there was maybe 2 inches inside the unit, once we opened the unit we quickly realized that it was atleast up to our knees with everything that got destroyed (mind you, these items are irreplaceable as they were my deceased grandparents things) 5 days after the storm my parents were told that no payment was needed since it was flooded and other customers were told the same. The day we went to clean the unit out and throw everything away, we were told that they needed to make a payment!!

Just raised the rent 30% after being here for 6 months. Highway robbery. I understand a steady increase in rates. Even with the current state of inflation, this is an exorbitant amount to increase. I call and they offered nothing but an excuse that if I was a new customer, I would pay over $300. I’m not a new customer. I am an existing customer that has paid on time, every time.

The only reason I give this place a one star rating is just so I can state the following: AVOID AVOID AVOID! Sure, it's an okay place to keep belongings but the front desk personnel are downright RUDE! They want your money, the end. Any issues arise with payments or a 3rd party credit card on the account to be removed, they don't care and won't help. They only gave me nonstop lip service to no end. They intentionally talked over me during our phone conversation endlessly and would not let me speak. Even said that their name was "George Borgeous" which is similar to "Gorgeous George" so I think it's a lie. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH FAST TALKING LIARS! 2 thumbs down.

You would of gotten a 10, but we were not informed that if we got our stuff out of storage during the month that we would not receive a credit. Our payment came out on the March 29th, and we were out of the storage on the April 7th. So now you made your money and can charge another person for the unit that is already paid for. You are ripping people off. Especially since you are raising your rates. We were paying $275 and you are raising the rate to $305. Why?? For empty space. I sure hope you raise your employees pay. UPDATE 5/4 I HAVE SENT THEM MY INFORMATION AND HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK. THAT IS NOT HELPING CUSTOMERS.

***UPDATED POST*** When we first secured the unit for the summer I was lead to believe that there was a shortage of storage units and that it would be in my best interest to get the unit while I could, so I secured this unit 3 weeks before we actually needed it and it sat empty until summer break and we again stored her Jeep Gladiator and dorm room contents. When the rent came due for August, I had a conversation with Fernando through text and told him that we would be in on the 20th of August to clean out the unit. I paid the rent on the 15th of August. When I went into the office to close the account I asked about prorating the rent for move out and was told they don’t prorate move outs. So Fernando knew we were moving out on the 20th and still processed my full month’s payment on the 15th when I texted him. He easily could have informed me then but didn’t. I’m his company is manipulative, shady, and underhand when it comes to their billing practices. Buyer beware!!! Find a different storage company!! We will be finding a different storage unit for ALL of her breaks this year. **ORIGINAL POST** After spring break check out, we had stored my daughter’s Jeep Gladiator, and flew her home for the break. I wish I could remember the names of the two gentlemen that were behind the counter that actually helped my daughter with renting the right size unit for what she needed. I can not recommend this place enough!! It’s clean, security cameras, well lit, and a security gate that goes around the entire facility that requires an access code to get in, along with 24 hour on-site security, and the staff is amazing! If you need some place to store your extra stuff these gentlemen are extremely respectful and knowledgeable and won’t try to upsell you a unit you don’t need, this is the place to put your extra stuff!

They lure you in with a lower rate then increase rates 10% every 6 months. Also they will not give proper notice of anything regarding your unit including rate increases. They will state they did send it but will not actually. Units in climate controlled units will be hot in summer while they try to save on costs.

Service is absolutely phenomenal. I ordered a 5 x 10 unit online, I showed up and realized it was way too small for me. Within 5 minutes, the employee “George” had upgraded me to a 10 x 10, drove me to the unit to make sure it was large enough, helped me with measurements, and even offered help unloading my things. George was extremely thoughtful and helpful, highly recommend! Units also very well kept.

I initially reserved a 5x5 But after all the paperwork and processing I got to the u it and it was too small. The gentleman was so kind. I felt so badly, which he kept saying no problem at all and let’s see what we have available. Got me moved into large unit. Was absolutely wonderful and professional. I base my experience upon the customer service I received. Therefore I give this review 5stars! I mean Fernando didn't just help us, he complimented us, he listened, he offered solutions, and did such things seemingly without provocation. I sincerely believe that is just his nature! I could go into personal details about my life during this storage unit chapter, but one thing for certain this experience at CubeSmart with Fernando was a blessing and a lesson to any other customer service worker of how to treat a customer all while handling the business task at hand. My Aunt passed away a year ago and we were unable to get to Edgewater to attend to her Estate and a relative placed the personal items we wanted into storage for us. We hoped we could make the trip from Idaho to retrieve them but it just hadn't worked out. We contacted Fernando and he was amazingly helpful in getting the unit into our name and hooking us up with a local mover to get our boxes to UPS who carefully packed and shipped them to us. I can't say enough about how helpful, responsive and professional Fernando is. My only regret is we aren't in his area to give them more business.

This storage facility has the best manager, Fernando is professional and one of the nicest people I have ever met. He always remembers me and is super helpful. The storage units themselves are clean, as is the whole facility. The price is reasonable and they had exactly what I was looking for, I needed an outside and an inside unit. They also have spots for boats or trailers. I would highly recommend Edgewater's Cube Smart to anyone looking for a storage facility.

The personnel at this Edgewater, FL location were great! I think CubeSmart charges too much for an administrative fee and the locks are specific to CubeSmart units and expensive. They are not recycled for another user. So the actual rental cost is a lot more than what you think you are originally paying. I won't be using CubeSmart again.

We use storage units a lot, units all over FL. Own a moving company and move our customers in and out of units all the time. This is a great storage facility. The manager Fernando was so helpful, he treated us like family (that does not happen in most places) He made sure we where well taken care of. Unsafe! The entry gate was stuck open any one could enter. The indoor unit areas had no lights to see. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to see inside. The bathroom was disgusting, and there wasnt any lights on in the hallyway to even see the door. The trashcan was overflowing and the toilet was dirty.The unit I rented already had someone's junk inside of it, but they still charged me even though I never took possession. Old and in need of updating. Avoid this storage facility at all costs!!

I have had a storage unit at StorQuest for some time. I recently had to rent two additional units prior to a move. Robert was wonderful in helping me obtain a unit close to my existing unit and helped me find the best deal currently offered. Today as I was packing, I realized that I was going to need an additional unit. The unit closest to mine much larger. Charles helped me rework things, so that I could end up with two larger units instead of 4! I was able to consolidate things and save money. These are very good and helpful people to work with and they are professional.

A friend of mine recommended this place so I figured I'd give it a try as I was in dire need of emergency storage. Well, I sure am glad that I did because it was everything I expected and more. This place is by far the most cleanly facility I have ever seen. No signs of vermin of any sort! The security here is also very comforting as a password is required to enter the gate at all times and not only that but there are cameras filming at every angle. The staff, especially Myriah at the front desk, was extremely professional and pleasant. She definitely helped in making this experience something to remember and pass on to other potential clients. Bob the manager is also very pleasant and accommodating. All in all I am very pleased and plan on storing my stuff there for a very long time.

Rates keep going up every six months. My last increase was almost $100. I do not recommend this storage company (any location) for any reason. The only good thing is the site manager at my location is pleasant to deal with, unlike corporate.

We had stored a vehicle & household items at this StorQuest for over 2 years. Our stored items came out of storage in great condition. Buildings are clean & the air conditioned unit maintained a good, cool temp. Staff is friendly & helpful. We would store our items here again.

Had no issue until I closed my unit. Was told it would take 3-5 days to return my next months payment (was set up with auto pay) when in reality it took 2 months to get it returned. I had called many times and stopped in, the lady who helped me was very nice and apologetic but no one else there or the call center seemed to care at all. Very disappointing.

We just moved from Miami & needed some extra storage space. We had visited another storage place who offered us a ridiculous price & only a large unit. StorQuest gave us just what we needed at a VERY affordable price. Employees were professional, pleasant, accomdating & polite. If you need extra storage this is the place to use.

I've been storing with this facility for several months now and could not be more pleased. The units are clean as a whistle and the facility itself is well-kept and monitored. The staff are extremely professional and very pleasant to deal with. This place is conveniently located right off of US1 so it's incredibly easy to get in and out. On top of all that, access is password protected so one never has to worry about anyone wandering in there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a need to store all of that excess stuff they do not want to fill their house and/or garage with.

The lie....they said my monthly would be one price and then charged me $40 more than we agreed to..... They are very dishonest people...I spoke to the owner and he lied to me about the rate and basically said too bad..... I am so glad I got my stuff out of there...

Update: I have had 2 units here for nearly a year. It is the best storage unit facility I have ever used. The staff is very nice and the units are very clean and dry. I have not had any mold problems even in the non-climate controlled unit. So far there has not been a second increase in the rent and I am thinking about upgrading the smaller unit to a bigger one. This is a great place to store your stuff! (Older:) The facility is always clean and well maintained. Security is great and there is easy access to even the climate controlled units. The staff are super nice and very helpful. you can even participate in their yard sale each month and sell items right in front of your storage unit. The only thing I haven't been real happy about is the rent being raised a mere 6 months after I first moved my stuff in. The rent went up on both units by about $10. I hope that is not going to happen every six months or I will soon be forced to look for something else. When I originally moved in their prices were close to the other facilities in the area from Port Orange to Oak Hill, however we liked the location and generally got a better feeling about this place than most of the others. I would reccommend Edgewater StorQuest to my friends.
