Gate has been stuck wide open and the only 2 elevators have been broken since May 16, 2024. We would leave, but our heavy furniture is being held hostage until elevators are fixed. During this time, our monthly rate increased 18%. Having no elevator access for months is likely an ADA violation as well. Go elsewhere!

I rented a unit from Cube Smart in 2017 for about $58 per month. In 2019 it increased to about $67. This increase was not unexpected. But since 2019 it increased to over $150. This was an example of corporate greed it I ever saw it. If I need a storage unit in the future I will look at some of the many competitors in the area.

I have been a long term customer. My 10 x 10 was only $75 a month when I moved in. Now its $222 ! Be ready for constant and frequent rate increases with no relief ! I'm now shopping for new storage unit as I'm a senior on a fixed income. Also the temp and humidity in the storage area seems high in the summer.

This was the worst storage unit we have ever used. Storage unit had a sticker stating “this unit has been cleaned” but there was dirt and spiders/webs everywhere. We used the unit for about two months and multiple items were ruined by water due to a leak. Lastly, almost every single box has had a roach in it. Not sure if all cubesmarts are like this or just this location, but I would never recommend this storage unit.

I was charged a full month of storage for nothing. I moved out the day they took the money from auto pay, and I called the manager at the store the day I had the unit clean, which was the next day after the money was taken so I paid an entire month with an empty storage with nothing in it. They asked me if I had some thing I can store there for a month because they weren’t likely to issue a refund. I rented it for a move and timed it to move out so I didn’t have to spend an extra month rent. To me that’s bad business and cannot be excused especially when my things I have vermin in them now, and force me to pay a months rent for nothing. I would look for a more keeping the customer based storage center because these people don’t care about you you’re just another unit number.

Move in was fast and easy.. Sol went above and beyond to help me when I needed to change the unit I’d reserved. The complimentary fruit snacks in the corners of the unit were a nice touch, but I think they might’ve been expired. They were dry and didn’t taste very good at all.. The customer service is horrible.rude and will lie to you about pricing. I paid $238 a month for the smallest room they have. I asked if I could change and was told I couldn’t. All my things where infested with bugs(I mean extremely large bugs) as I was moving my things out. It was gross. They unity’s aren’t clean. The service sucks and the prices are way to high for the silly units they offer. Go to uhaul it’s two minutes away!! Save yourself the hassle of these clowns.

Paid for a lock at sign up as part of the "NO CONTACT RENTAL". No lock left for me inside unit as per the agreement I signed and pre-paid for. I had to go to Lowe's and BUY one. Nobody in office, but I'm OK with office closed since it's New Years Day. Signed and paid for unit the day before, on New Year's Eve, so lock should have been taken care of.

We thought we had a good experience until we moved out of the storage unit. I don’t think there is pest control at this location because when we were unloading boxes, we found tons of cockroaches and palmetto bugs in all of our stuff. We had to wash all of our clothes, bedding, linens; throw out books and textbooks. There were small animal/insect feces all over the unit. The units are not temperature controlled anyway so the humidity made everything smell musty. My husbands very expensive work boots had mold all over them from the moisture. On top of that, our unit was compromised and someone stole our television and replaced it with a broken knock off version. There was no security footage or proof of a break in, so the incident was categorized as a mysterious disappearance. The staff is friendly and understanding but the insurance to cover our unit did not cover these two issues of pest control and theft. If you value your belongings, go somewhere else. I would pay more for better quality storage.

Walked in. Can't see, tried to adjust the lightbulb. Realized power to the entire side of the facility is out. Turn around and immediately spot a roach. Nope. EDIT: This edit is going to give my full experience. I was moving all my stuff down in a U-Haul, and I go online to find a storage place to rent. Nobody is open at like 4 for whatever reason, but we find this place cubesmart. We can do the whole thing online; that's great. We go to rent, and they had fees absolutely everywhere. Admin fee, processing fee, lock rental fee, base rental fee, and I think one more. In total, it took an $80 dollar rental to $126. Keep in mind, we purchased an indoor, climate controlled 5x10, which they said was on the second story. No problem. If the place is good, I don't mind carrying things. Especially for my tardiness in renting the storage room. "Okay," I say to myself, "maybe I just haven't done this before. That was a lot more money than I thought I was going to have to pay." We arrive, punch in the code that was given to us, and the door opens. It took about a minute to find the building. I go in. Wooden boards nailed together with dust all over the floor. Observable construction on the bottom floor. The walls aren't aligned. Whatever. I go upstairs, walk to the back of a hallway with no lights. There were lights on in the storage rooms to the right, but there wasn't anything in the hallway. I walk into the room. The rental lock is one the ground in the little bag they had. Also no light in the room. (See first review). I tried to adjust the light. Nothing. I turn on my flashlight. Each room is connected by chicken wire. I could actually see everyone else's stuff inside the place—not only on my side, but I could see everyone else's stuff through the poorly made wooden wall on the other side of the hallway. On the other side, there is exposed fiberglass insulation in the unit. Then my girlfriend screams, we both see the roach. We leave to find a different place. Several days later, the regional or district manager calls me to very politely inform me that I was wrong about the light, and that there was in fact a switch on the wall by the stairs. Let me tell you that the lack of light was the least of my problems here. At least they gave me a full refund. +1 star

Bathrooms are available inside the storage buildings which is very helpful. Hallways are roomy and no interior doors to fight with while moving in and out. The best thing about this particular facility is the extremely helpful and friendly staff. If you have any problems whatsoever they will take care of you! I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for clean, secure storage with friendly and helpful assistance at your fingertips.

I have rented several storage spaces over the last 15 years from this location, from business needs to personal, and each time the service has been spot on! Units are clean and there are a variety of sizes available. The entire property is attractive, well maintained and in the most convenient location! Prices are always competitive - mostly better - then other area storage locations. Love the easy drive-up to my unit!

I rented a 10X20’ storage unit, climate controlled, from the Fernandina Beach Cubesmart since 2019. I just had to hire movers to move all my things out into my garage in 90 degree heat all because of an 80% price increase. They keep their temp at 80 degrees! That’s cool?? I started having to pay $333 last December 2021 and I figure I had until this December 2022 before Cubesmart raised my price again. But NO! They raised it to $410 in only 6 months. So I HAD to move out. Who can afford these kind of prices. And at this location my unit had a stained floor and insulation coming out of the ceiling. Soo gross. I will never rent from this company again and I will tell anyone who is looking to rent NOT to go to Cubesmart!!
