Buyer beware. Bait and switch. Once you purchase storage, expect a significant increase within a few months. Expect another significant increase before the end of year. Basically, an increased of over 100$ within the year you have it. Go somewhere else

The worst experience of my life my fiance was in the hospital and they wouldn't let me get any stuff out of the storage because my name wasn't on the account They said that I would have to be on the account so he put my name on the account went up there still couldn't get in He called them to let them know and they said they couldn't do it unless he was right there He said but you told me if I put her name on there that she could come and get some my stuff They said no you have to be there again I am laid up in the hospital I'm not able to and they said there's nothing that they can do He says but don't you understand again says but I'm not able to be there I'm in the hospital and we were unable to do anything until my fiance passed away and we were able to show a death certificate that was a shame!!! I even called my place where I had some storage They said they never heard of anything like that before in their life so I would not recommend CubeSmart!

Acquiring the storage unit was nice and easy. Process was simple. Shortly after moving my stuff in I had a couple issues, them being roaches in the halls and homeless living in one of the units. I will give credit that in my past few visits I haven't seen many bugs in the halls as I have in the past and I also haven't seen the transients in a while. My latest issue is the fact that my rates have been going up consistently since I signed the lease. I signed a lease with a 50% off rent promo. I called and asked and they said the promo was indefinite, as long as I had the lease for. Now, I have gotten two $20 rate increases since I got my lease November, 2023. Pretty soon my promotional rate will be and void simply because of these rate increases. Has everyone's rates gone up or just the people who got suckered into their promotion? If my promotion was indefinite, why is my unit currently listed on the website for $30 less than what I pay? That doesn't seem very fair or honest.

Security gate has been broken for more than two months. On a random visit after hours the door was wide open to the facility. Expect to receive several rate increases. It is a clean facility, but you will pay a absolute premium for a unit

Multiple times I was locked out of my unit. Having two jobs I was unable to get there before business hours. I went in one day when I was able to get there before the office closed to see what was going on. It was stated that someone else had tried to access my unit but yet I was not alerted that I needed to come in and verify my id. I was told I was left many voicemails but I have only one stating that there was nothing wrong with my access and I should be able to get in back in may. This issue continued on for 3-4 months. I have been a customer for 2+ years so I am extremely unhappy. I attempted to reach out to the regional manager and was told I would receive a call back and never got one.

While the staff are friendly and attentive, the fact that the company itself raises the price of their units EVERY six months or so is absolutely greed driven and unacceptable. People are struggling in our community right now and for CubeSmart have them increase their rates they way they do puts many already struggling families in a financial crisis to simply keep their important items stored that they cannot keep in their own homes for whatever reason. Several of our community members have rented from them and stated that their bills went from a reasonable rate to an excessive one over time. One board member of our association started at $150 a month for a 10x20 two years ago. However, with the every six month rate hike, has had to clear out their unit this month as the monthly fee is now nearly $500. When asked about this purely greed driven regular inflation, the answer was “it’s industry standard”. However, having looked into other local facilities that have similar amenities, the standard is a yearly increase, NOT a bi-yearly increase. The facility security at our local CubeSmart has also decreased as they lost their main gate into the facility parking lot a few months ago from someone running into it, and it has not been replaced as of yet. Our board member also reported that when they were clearing out the last of their items this week, the doors leading into the actual building were stuck open, when it usually has a passcode to gain access. This caused the building’s first floor units to remain unsecured, and anyone could have driven into the parking lot then entered into the first floor of the building. If this location is a planned short term rental, then it isn’t a bad choice, as it is climate controlled (as long as the building doors are shut) and typically they have decent protection protocols (if the security gate is in place and the doors to facility can only be opened by passcode and aren’t locked open). This review is to help the community of Holiday Lake Estates remain informed as they are one of the closest storage facilities to our community. Hopefully this review will help prevent any community members from having to endure what our board member just did, and also give the surrounding communities a bit of insight as well. If CubeSmart discontinues their bi-yearly inflationary payment cycle's that make their customers pay more than some do for a house payment in this state, and if they get their security measures back up to a base minimum standard for what they promise to provide, then this review will be updated to reflect as such. Until then, be aware and be prepared to have your bill increase twice a year, and that currently the facility does not protect your items as well as a business that makes excessive earnings from their customers should.

The facility is clean and the security is great. Staff is great also. My only issue is that the rent continuously goes up. When I left I was paying almost $100 more than I was paying when I originally signed up and I was only there for 1 1/2 years. So be prepared for regular rate increases. Otherwise, it's a great facility.

Everyone is always so nice and helpful until you sign over the contract. Once that happens, it's astounding how insignificant you become. I believe i was transferred over to a manager that really could give an honest worry for the circumstance and really gave little regard... it was a rude call at minimum. I rented a storage unit, and less than 6 months later, my unit went up $25 a month. No explanation, just a "well you're month to month and it's subject to change at anytime". I think this is a profitable business and they know it and take advantage... because it can be difficult to just move your things again. However, I'll make it my mission to remove my items, sell some, and find elsewhere to store my things. To not even lock you in a year and that price is criminal in my opinion... but I was the person who chose them. A heads up to anyone looking to purchase a storage unit...

The three stars are for the facility itself and its extremely easy access. It appears to be very clean and I've never had a problem until today. There was another manager taking care of the store today and he was polite (but did not seem knowledgeable of at least the Holiday facility), but I cannot speak to the incompetence of the receiving manager who was present on Friday or Saturday, when I found out my package was refused. It was a package from the Ukraine, which I'd been waiting on for 3 weeks. Now I have no idea where it is and I have to have UPS or USPS do extensive research to find it. When I bought this unit, which I pay $138 for per month, I was told by the manager that packages and mail were fine to send there. This is also listed on Cube Smart's website under FAQs and mail/package receiving. The acting manager told me they refused the package, even though it had my clear name and Unit #. First he said they don't receive them. Then he changed his story and said you have to sign paperwork for it (which the other manager never told me). No one called me before refusing this package and now it's lost. No one apologized either. I find this to be poor business practice; if you're going to tell your customer you will receive a package or mail for them and then you refuse it AND you do not inform them you did so, that's dishonest and I am very frustrated. This was one of the reasons I got this unit and when the opportunity to utilize it came, it was refused and I was dismissed. I am deeply exasperated that now I have to track it down.

The touchless check-in system was excellent. I signed up online, and within minutes my unit was ready with the lock and instructions in it, and a passcode for the gate was in my email. Very impressed, and the prices were very reasonable for indoor, climate-controlled storage.

I had the key, all the unit info, and permission from the account owner and all I needed was the place to enter to find the unit. I encountered an unfortunate incident with the storage facility manager, Sydney, which I found to be unprofessional and discourteous. My mother and I were engaged in the task of organizing our storage space when she approached us with one of her employees, asserting that she had been monitoring us on surveillance cameras. She accused us of violating company policy by engaging in work activities, despite the fact that we were simply arranging our belongings to optimize storage space. Regrettably, her approach was marked by hostility and argumentation rather than professionalism, and it left us feeling disheartened. Initially, she criticized us for the perceived mess on the floor, a matter that we were prepared to deal with by cleaning up after ourselves. However, she seemed reluctant to discuss the pest issue that her storage unit has, specifically the presence of roaches in the storage unit. Following her departure, we proceeded to the facility's office to engage in a discussion with her. To our surprise, she was found outside tending to landscaping duties. When I attempted to initiate a conversation, she responded with a casual "wassup" but did not pause to engage further. Upon requesting to continue the conversation inside, she reluctantly agreed and proceeded to display surveillance footage of our organization efforts, seemingly insinuating our incompetence. Throughout our interaction, she maintained a confrontational and impolite demeanor. It is my hope that management addresses these issues promptly, as such behavior does not align with the standards of customer service one would expect. I must regrettably advise against patronizing this establishment.

This cube smart location is a brand new facility, is clean, has lots of parking, and two separate entrances. They offer different size units 10x30 is huge. They also offer handicapped units in the first floor.

Only complaint is that some sections smell terrible but I'm sure that's from the contents of certain storage units. Pretty cool that the lights go on and off as you walk through to make sure you have acceptable light for wherever you may roam in the building. Very secure no need to worry about the wrong person having. Access to your storage

This was the best experience I ever had going into a storage unit. I did everything online and then someone from the facility called to make sure I knew what to expect when I got to the storage facility. I got to the storage facility after they were closed and I came in went up to my unit opened the door and there was a gift bag and a card sitting there explaining everything I needed to know my lock was in the bag with my keys and I was good to go. The facility is also very clean.
