This is our fourth unit in the past five years. Scott has been fabulous in every aspect. When my elderly mom's needs changed, he secured different units for us. He's always friendly and helpful. When we cleared out the last unit August of 2024 (when my mom passed), he was very kind. Now that my husband and I are renovating our home, we knew exactly where we wanted to rent a storage unit. The customer service from Scott is exceptional, the units are clean, safe, air conditioned and close to our home. My work rents two units there and we are all pleased.

Prices are reasonable; units are immaculate both inside and outside, and the doors in the facilities are in working order. Made an order online and loaded up a cart to bring into my unit. The guy stops me and says I need to come inside and give him more information, which was fine. I was in a quiet mood because I was in a rush. He starts saying "are you okay? I don't have to put up with this. You can go somewhere else if you're going to be confrontational." I literally didn't even say anything. Took it as a red flag and went to the public storage on beach and san pablo where I've had good experiences before. Beware this dude suckkks. Must've missed the part in the lease where it says I have to be excessively nice haha

I had THE most amazing experience today. Needing a small indoor unit, I visited the CubeSmart in Jax Beach. I’ve passed by a million times and have always been impressed by the looks of the exterior. ****UPDATE- Arrived to move into my unit and pulled truck onto the highly visible white paved area (clearly a sturdier form of ground than the remaining black asphalt of the parking area) between painted white lines on the ground in front of the sliding door. Unloaded all items and headed for the elevator as my unit was inside on the second floor. Was stopped by Scott and told that was a big No, No, as if i was a 6 year old child! He said i could not park there, i stated that i was unloading for move in and he told me I was not allowed to do that and that there was a great big sign outside that said no parking. I stated as curtly as I could that i was not parking, i was moving in and unloading and that i would be moving my vehicle as soon as i unloaded. He told me No and to watch my attitude or he would kick me out! I walked out front and reviewed the area where i was parked, there were NO highly visible no parking signs, NO clearly marked fire lane do not block signs, or any other highly visible NO parking signs on the enterance to the building! There are 4 yellow caution pillars evenly spaced in front of the sliding doors with a clearly marked white lined parking space in front of them (one would assume for the purpose of those loading and unloading) however in 4" white letters on the ground directly infront of the yellow caution pillars in white paint are the words No Parking and approximately 20 ft to the right of the sliding doors and clearly marked white lines in front of them, is a small approx. 10x6 (most likely purchased at home depot) No Parking sign attached to an electrical box in front of black asphalt with no parking spot lines. I stated that he no clearly visible signs that this was not a loading/unloading area and that common sense and all other storage facilities like his have these types of areas for this reason however now I know and I'm moving my vehicle. He continued to threaten me with kicking me out if i didnt watch my attitiude. I am a 100% disabled combat veteran which he Scott was told when i purchased my unit. I did not curse not raise my voice. I simply stated my opinion of the situation clearly, with assertiveness and clarity as anyone with common sense would. I absolutely do not appreciate being threatened with eviction of a storage facitlity i had only been 2 once before. So I chose to ask for a full refund and removed the small items that I had already started to put into my unit. I will ensure that the local veteran community is aware of his threats and to avoid storing their items there. I have never been treated so badly or threatened for making an honest mistake and trying to assist in the correction so others do not make the same mistake by pointing how why i was using the area in what seemed to me to be a common sense loading and unloading only zone. I have not received even an email that I was issued a full refund and will be calling corporate on monday morning to file a formal complaint and find out why my refund ahs not been processed yet and my account cancelled. I will be adding photos of the front of the area of the building and parking lot as soon as I am able to do so Scott was absolutely top notch in customer service! Was able to answer all of my questions, physically show me the until I was interested in to make sure it was accommodating to my needs and make the rental process very smooth! Even double checked to ensure my access code worked properly before I left the property!! Will recommend highly!!

No light in climate-controlled units. Hallway lights on timers can only be turned back on by walking within range of motion detectors. VERY frustrating and inconvenient. Rent increased by 10% yearly. No dumpsters or trash cans.

This storage facility is truly impressive! I was looking for a climate controlled facility to store solid wood furniture for an extensive renovation project. If you love your furniture, you know the harsh, hot and humid conditions can ruin furniture easily if not properly stored. I actually visited several facilities at the beach to see for myself what “climate controlled “ means. This was by far the nicest, cleanest and most easily accessible place I considered. I was shocked to see the nice reviews about the General Manager here, Scott Anderson, because I found him to be extremely rude and volatile. There was no other cars in the parking lot, and I pulled my car in what most would consider a “loading zone”, so I could quickly unload some heavy things on a dolly (I’m pregnant by the way) and the way he went about telling me to move my car into a parking space was so rude. I have never been treated that way by a person of management. After I moved my car, he decided to borderline harass me in the lobby and say “who do you think you are?” And went on about how my husband had debt here from 3 years ago, then threatened to terminate our lease. Seems like he enjoyed his little power trip. Because of him we will be taking our business elsewhere where we’re not treated like this.

After 4 years of storage in their pristine, air conditioned facility - my belongings are still as good as new! Scott helped me move in with ease and also helped me move out seamlessly, even gifting me a lock for my Uhaul truck and organizing great movers to unload/load the unit. I'm in the military and have had to move around a lot due to deployments and homeport shifts and have always made this Cube Smart my go to location for my storage needs. Definitely not a viable solution for permanent storage needs. As mentioned throughout the numerous reviews, Scott is absolutely fantastic. He does a magnificent job managing the property and he goes above and beyond in meeting customer expectations. The owners on the other hand, have established pricing policies that are simply unsustainable for customers with long term storage needs. In the span of two years, our rate nearly doubled. With substantive pricing increases every six months, you quickly find yourself in a position of looking for alternate solutions--which we did. Much better alternatives exist in the area. Unless you don't mind storage rates increasing beyond any reasonable expectations, this location is not worth considering.

If you're ever in need of a first great storage facility to store your valuables then Cube Smart Jax Beach is the best! They are very attentive in keeping the facility in tiptop shape. The bathrooms and corridors are constantly being cleaned and the lights are brightly lit so that you can see inside your units. Lol when you're walking down the hallways you don't get that creepy dungeon feeling. The elevators are always in good working order and you don't have to wait for minutes for the doors to open and close. The staff has been more than helpful. In fact the manager Scott just helped us out in a really tough situation. We so appreciated his help. After my dad's departure we've had to combine my mother's household with ours. So over the past year or so we've had to move in and out of a few units there. It's tough enough with all that stuff. So it's the little things like that that can make the difference. Thanks so much Cube Smart Jax Beach for helping us through the transition.

Location is super clean and the staff, looking at you Scott, are very helpful and provide excellent customer service. I have used several storage facilities in my travels and not once did a staff member remember my name or face. While that may seem insignificant, it does make me feel like I made the right choice in my selection for a storage location. Now.. on to the unit- I opted for a mid sized unit which is typical for a climate control location. I like that the units do have semi closed ceilings- meaning there is no concern someone could climb over (some unit’s just have an open ceiling). The locks they sell are integrated into the latch so there is zero concern someone could break the lock (however a traditional can be used as well vs buying there’s). Overall will def use again if the next area I move too has a location.

In the middle of a move, one of the staff members (Scott) came to see how everything was going and if we needed anything - they have a full supply of moving and packing materials on site. We mentioned that of the 3 people helping move, none of us had remembered to grab a hand truck (we own 2). Scott went out of his way to help us find a cart that would work and even let us borrow it to go off-site for a quick pick up. He really went above and beyond to help us succeed! It's rare to find folks who are empathetic and even rarer to find a person or business who'll go out of their way to help. We were very satisfied with our experience at CubeSmart in Jacksonville Beach. Scott Anderson (the general manager) met us on first visit and explained and showed us the various storage options available. The facility feels fresh and the technology and security is great. It was easy to set up our arrangement and the online account access is well thought out. Often the measure of a good place is how easy it is to leave as it is to enter. Our need was short-term and the day we moved out, it could not have been easier and more fair. They do what they say they will do. A well run facility reflects the quality of its leadership. The guy who helped me at the Jacksonville Beach location (I know he told me his name but I am terrible with names...) was a great mix of professional and personable. He gave me a great deal on my storage and also gave me a great run down on the area. Best customer service I have had in a long time. The guys boss needs to give him a raise, promotion, company car and anything else he can throw at him to make him stay. It’s service like this that keeps people happy and giving you their money. This is an absolutely top notch facility with clean, attractive, air conditioned storage units. The management is sharp and professional. All the customer service representatives I worked with were intelligent, friendly and helpful. The manager Scott was very helpful with my situation. He creatively worked with me when I had an uncertain timeline (that changed three times!) for getting my items out of the unit. This has been a very stressful time for me, with a lot of things going on every day. It helped me so much that Scott was able to make the situation work within the guidelines of the organization. They also offer a very reasonable truck rental which helps defray the expense of moving things from the units. I am new to the area, and do not know anyone. I feel like I made new friends with the staff here. They really went above and beyond to help me, too much to detail here. If you want to lock up your belongings in the middle of no where with a pitbull guarding. You have come to the right place. You feel as if your belongings are going to be safe and secure with no doubt. I selected a 5'×7.5 which was $58.26, a $25.61 Administration Fee required at move in, $12 Great American insurance up to $2,000 in damages required at move in, and $12.83 Short Mill Cylinder Lock. I don't know if you could bring your own lock. Walking out the door paying $108.70 and a $70.26 monthly bill for a 5'×7.5 storage to store my bikes because my place does not have a place to store my 3 bikes and I don't want the bikes to rust from the salt air here at the beach.

I don't normally take the time to give a shout out for a level of quality that should be expected when you sign on the dotted line. However, in this case I have to commend a business that set their bar higher than could ever be expected. In the several months that I have been a customer of this Cubesmart location, I have had to lean on Scott to assist me with moving to a larger unit, solving a lost lock issue, and in general, being almost omniscient with creative ideas that make my storage stay efficient and less laborious. The mark of excellence is when you don't have to ask for help, help walks up to you with solutions. When I pull in the drive and go to punch in my code, I know that I really am not just four numbers over the rented space. I am a business owner that is progressing because my business appears to be their business as well. I gave this two stars only because the lady I dealt with is very polite. I would prefer to give one star as I feel it is EXTREMELY unethical and should be illegal for CubeSmart to force you to pay for insurance then find out the ridiculous price you are paying for the insurance premium is mostly a ripoff by CubeSmart; $10+ change of it is an administrative fee the thieves at CubeSmart charge for having the insurance and only $1+ change of it is the actual premium. That is absolutely unethical and an extremely poor business practice!

This facility is new and has all the bells and whistles. There was a young man named Marcus, who really helped me out. He was knowledgeable and professional. At first I was a little upset because I had bought a lock, thinking I would use it. However they make you use a cylinder type lock. Marcus was able to explain to me why, and I eventually saw his point. Either way it is a safe, and convenient place for your belonging.
