Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience, starting from the price found online to the customer service experience! Online price at reservation was $29 total move in costs! but at check out, I paid $68. There is a mandatory insurance that they didn't disclose at the beginning and a mandatory fee for the lock! ( not a normal pad lock ) That, of course, you can't use it anywhere else. Also, the customer service over the phone is difficult, I called 5 times in one day to talk with a manager, and that didn't happen. So everything felt like a bait and switch tactic! Probably is a better experience in person directly at the office, compared with the online.

A paper on the glass said they are keeping access to office hours. After driving from 4 hours away I was very displeased this business is so irresponsible and inconsiderate. Now I have a rental truck packed with things and I have to go to work. They don’t allow access passed 5pm anymore. I work, when am I supposed to drop my things if the only time I can return is after work. I regret giving any business to them.

However, I am changing the rating to 1 star because by unit was burglarized (although there were no signs of the lock being damaged). I called the police and filed a report. Someone with a key opened my unit, checked the contents and stole boxes of valued items. I wanted to use my personal lock and they did not allow me to use it and insisted that I use their lock. I BELIEVED that the facility was secure because they said there were cameras and the place was well lit and clean. AFTER my valuable personal items were stolen and in the process filing my police report I realized that the CUBESMART had lighting sensors in the corridors and NOT Security cameras. The place is NOT secure. My unit is also NOT the only unit with that situation. Use at your risk! The business is deceptive and unless there are cameras in the common areas YOU risk losing your valuable items with no recourse but the renters insurance. I also used my personal insurance company and in essence, CubeSmart lost nothing! I am angry and wish I never used CubeSmart for storage. I am looking to move to more secure storage as soon as I can.
