Won a storage unit from cubesmart in margate on 15th st..the unit was full of 1000s of roaches I have seen a couple here and there in this buisiness but nothing ever like this.so I could not see bringing that all back to my wharehouse and having it infest me...I complained to the manager and she said there are no roaches here and got me suspended from storage treasures...storage treasures would not work with me when I explained the situation they are for the facilities not the buyers..there were people living in units cooking and had animals living in there...be warned of this cubesmart ...and remember even if there's a million roaches you have to take them with you or you'll be suspended with no help...they could have offered to exterminate it then I probably would have at least got it out of there and dumped it... Microaggressions at a CubeSmart Location" I’ve been a loyal fan of CubeSmart for years, and in many ways, I still am. However, my experience at one particular location has completely soured my perspective. This is the last place I would ever recommend for anyone looking to rent storage space. Here's what happened: On November 16, 2024, I rented a unit at this location. The young lady I dealt with was helpful, accommodating, and made the process smooth—at first. The initial unit I selected didn’t work for me as it was tucked into a corner that wasn’t practical. I upgraded to a better unit and, before leaving the office, I informed her that I didn’t need the lock I purchased. She explained that since she was new, she didn’t know how to process the refund but assured me that the manager could handle it. She advised me to bring the lock back once I had moved in, and the manager would refund the $21 to my credit card. After moving my belongings in, I struggled to close the door and had to return to the office for assistance. The associate was kind enough to drive back with me, resolved the issue, and showed me how to properly close the unit. Before heading back to the office, I handed her the lock in its bag. She promised to make a note in the system so the manager could process the refund. A few days later, I returned to the office to follow up because the refund hadn’t shown up on my credit card. This is where things began to take a turn. The manager was polite, but something felt off. Her demeanor seemed dismissive, almost patronizing. I’ve learned to trust my instincts, and it was clear to me that I wasn’t being treated with the same level of respect as other customers. I stayed polite—after all, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar—but I left feeling uneasy. That same day, I decided to rent another storage space at a different location. As a small business owner, I don’t have the time or energy to deal with people who carry a superiority complex. I moved out of the unit before the end of the month. Here’s where things got worse. During my initial inquiry about the refund, the manager claimed there was no note in the system about the lock refund. She called the associate, who confirmed the situation. However, instead of processing the refund on my card, I was told they would mail me a check. Even though my account clearly listed the correct address (which I repeated several times), I never received the check. Two weeks later, I returned to the office, only to be dismissed. The manager’s attitude was obvious—waving me off like my concerns didn’t matter. I called the office and was told the check had been sent to the wrong address. This was baffling since I had repeated my correct address multiple times. The same dismissive behavior continued, and every follow-up felt like another excuse. At one point, I was told they needed to ensure the check hadn’t been cashed—an absurd claim for a $21 refund, especially when it was their error in sending it to the wrong address. After a month of getting nowhere, I had enough. On December 19, 2024, I called CubeSmart’s customer service for help. The agent was understanding and escalated my issue to the district manager, Aly. He contacted me and promised to investigate and involve upper management. Whether or not this will resolve the issue remains to be seen. To anyone considering renting from this particular location, my best advice is: don’t. The associates at CubeSmart’s Sample Road location, where I now rent, are fantastic. It’s my second time renting there, and I’ve never had an issue with refunds or customer service. This experience has been frustrating and disheartening, but it’s also a reminder to trust your gut and value your time. No one deserves to feel dismissed or subjected to microaggressions—especially as a paying customer. I hope CubeSmart’s management addresses this so no one else has to deal with a similar ordeal.

Roof leaked from first rain shower. Reported the leak, they kept making LAME EXCUSSES for not repairing. Offered NO assistance to move to another unit. I am over 60 and have to pay for help to move my belongings. Leak became much larger and damaged 50% of my belongings. Stay away from this company. Can't get any kind of email to any higher ups. Heard they don't care either.

If I could give these people a negative star Iwould. With all that is going on in this country with jobs and all, they don't work with their customers. They rather you owe them the full amount, than accept a part payment on your bill which was exactly what happened to us. Then...their mode of communication is off, as it seem they are only interested in been heartless and robotic instead of been human. They sold our unit with everything owned for less than the bill without even batting an eye, and still had the nerve to be sending us a invoice, but nothing to say the unit was sold. One has to wonder if it's a friend thing As for me ... I wouldn't even recommend a dog to them. They do not try to work with the customer or even meet them half way. They need to understand that not everyone depends on hand outs and some if not most people are now living hand to mouth. Worse storage ever!!

I’ve been a customer at cubesmart for years now and have never received such bad customer service at any location, but this one. My unit was vacated for a month and i STILL was charged. To make matters worse my big brother I called and spoke to a woman and she told me the lock had to be removed, i went and removed it , and was still charged. Word of advice - don’t have ur store managers calling customers “my love” when they already KNOW the customer is upset, that’s offensive and unacceptable !!!!!!!!!! Would not recommend this location.

The good thing about this facility is low price. Office guy David is also incredibly patient , & helpful. BUT- Only 1 cart in entry area, so it's usually hard to get it. Very hard to get parking by entry. No covered load/ unload area, & they keep the restroom locked. You get bare bones, economy storage here.

I became a customer of CubeSmart when I moved to FL in December of 2018. From day one, I was welcomed and the information about what I needed to do and how I would be billed was very clear. When I left, the manager Noelle (I think) was a consummate professional and worked very with me. The staff was great and I never felt as if my belongings were in danger or unsafe. This facility is managed by a super GM Naurel along with her assistant Gigi, they work very hard to keep this facility clean with so much leaves. I always see Naurel in the hot sun sweeping up leaves, mopping hallways and picking up trash around. I hope cubesmart is seeing this hard work. I have been at this facility for years before this Gm Naurel came and it was never kept this clean. she pays attention to her facility and she cares very much her customers. Very nice people at this place, they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable when renting. Especially the GM Naurel, she offers the best customer service I ever got anywhere. They are outstanding there. I will never leave this store. I recommend everyone to rent at this location. The GM sweeps the leaves with a broom and dust pan every day to keep the storefront looming presentable for the customers. I have never seen that anywhere else. When a tropical storm was coming, the staff went out of their way to ensure that everything that could possibly be done to protect my another’s possessions was done. I had a canoe that was in outside storage. If the tropical storm had hit the winds would’ve blown it all over the place, possibly wrecking other people stuff. They allowed me to store it indoors until the storm passed, all at no charge. They should be commended for their service.

I paid my bill yesterday and came today and there is a lock on my storage unit as if I hadn’t paid. They have nobody to contact until 9:30am. I am here at 7am- So I am left unable to get my tools for work for 2 and a half hours. Somebody there has made a big mistake to wrongfully lock my unit and give tenants no way to reach anybody. Now almost $400 dollars of my business revenue has vanished plus paying 2 guys almost 3 hours of payroll to sit and wait for a CubeSmart mistake. Costly mistake I am hoping Cubesmart corporate can fix. Now the uphill battle begins to try to get ahold of someone of authority [in corporate]- then to hope this individual understands how HUGE of a issue and concern this is to wrongfully take a tenants possessions under lock and key. Compensation for revenue loss and cost of crew waiting for the office to open is the only remedy to this occurrence. Wish me luck.

I was distraught and stressed over my situation and she took the time to listen to me, reassure me that all will be ok. Gigi also assisted us. Very good attentionate service, I paid for agence storage parking, I pointed out to Simone that the fence behind my spot is bent and the tubular frame is broken. She took note, reassuring me I would be fix, she looked sincere, so I signed up but it remains to be seen, weither or not they are going to fix it soon....

I currently have a 10x10 unit, climate controlled, electric outlets ( soon to be installed) and its a great location. I came around 10am , by 10:30 I already had my unit, the property manager is really down to earth and helpful. My spouse and I are really happy we found this storage.
