This is my first time using Cube Smart Storage. I moved here in Ave Maria a week ago, and needed to put some things in storage. The price was definitely reasonable, and I like the fact that it is climate controlled. Bella was very helpful and accommodating to our specific needs, and I would definitely recommend the location at 7205 Vanderbilt Way.

The instructions in accessing the unit were not clear. The map looked like they were ground level accessed from parking lot. Manager happened to be on site but didn’t greet us or ask us if we needed help. He just said “ you need to move the trailer “. He said we didn’t have it parked in a designated parking space. Neither was his personal vehicle. We were not in the flow of traffic. We could not get the mag lock doors to stay open while moving. It IS a wonderful facility and appears to be very secure. I hope these suggestions help someone else. Thank you.

The only negative I have to say was the telephones if you are trying to get to an owner it’s impossible or the way they make the connections and wait times online for them to connect you. They just built this place. The one front door was broken conveniently after purchasing a storage, so we had to travel all the way to the other door, and then travel all around the building to reach our storage spot. I'm assuming this place was made with recycled and refurbished parts. The electric sliding door looks old. And the elevators look old. Almost like they put it together from a previously torn down building.

Rob the manager was one of the worst human beings I have EVER encountered. The way he treated me, and my workers was completely unprofessional and downright disgusting. I would not recommend this specific location to anyone unless you enjoy being yelled at, screamed at, and micromanaged the whole time. If you have a moving company or you are moving large portions yourself, Just know that you cannot latch the top of the sliding glass door. You must type in the code every time you want to go in and out. If you dare to have someone stand by the door to keep it open for you, then you will deal with the wrath of Rob the orange man. Completely unprofessional and I cut my subscription short because I could not deal with it anymore.

I wish there was a way to score this place a negative 5 stars, because they would certainly deserve it regarding my experience as a customer there. The manager guy, I don’t know his name, but he is the short orange man that could certainly benefit from taking a customer service course or two. I am BLOWN AWAY by how UNBELIEVABLY RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL he is daily with his customers. Both of my interactions with him (I closed my account after the second one) were enough to make me feel so frustrated, disrespected, angry, and just really hurt as a person that I was crying about it the whole way home. The day that I moved out, I asked every fellow customer that I saw how there experience had been and 1 person had never spoken to anyone who worked there but she thought the building was spooky; but the other two customers (a couple in their 20’s and a single man) both had at least one negative interaction with the orange manager man but it wasn’t enough to make them take their business elsewhere because of the convenience of the location in both cases. I just can’t believe all of these positive reviews about this Rob guy. Surely Rob is not the orange man?? Only rent here if you want to feel like punching someone in the face.

Expensive, no one ever answers the phone. Ever. You will have to call the main 800# and be transferred from corporate and you might get through. Rob the on site manager is one of the rudest people I’ve ever met (However the woman seems to be very nice) The elevators are HORRIBLE! If you don’t have a first floor unit, you are in for a LOT of waiting. You can not push the elevator button more than once or it will shut down. Totally faulty system-then you get to deal with Rob...who is not a nice person. The ramps going in do not match the doors so you have to maneuver carefully and not spill you cart/Dolly loads. The elevators smell like dirty laundry or food...just not good. It’s a stand alone building not a fenced property so every time you go through the door you and everyone helping will have to enter a 10 digit code. Secure but VERY ANNOYING! If it wasn’t a dire necessity and right by my house I would have never rented here. I would never go back for any reason and urge anyone reading this to drive a bit farther or make another choice. The ramp alone makes moving SO much harder. I’ve never seen the store open to buy supplies.

I would highly recommend to anyone seeking storage; AC, custom entry keypad per customer to ensure security, cameras that overlook entrances and elevators, yes elevators to go the higher floors and they're industrial sized so everything fits. The location itself is terrific -- close to where it is needed. Security is good as well. Employees were great during the set-up and price is reasonable. The reason for 3 stars instead of more is that when we needed to load into the unit (which is on the 3rd floor), the elevators were not working for an extended period of time (more than a day). Traipsing up and down 3 flights of stairs with LOTS of stuff when it is in the 90's outside is difficult. :(

Be careful of the forced management up sale for personal property insurance coverage. This insurance covers just about nothing and 80% of the monthly charge added goes into CubeSmart admin fees. There is a section to opt out of this added coverage (page 9), and when you ask to opt out you can't rent the space. GREAT business plan to force potential customers to sign up for junk coverage. I had to send copies of my home owners policy to prove my property was covered of premise. STILL WAITING FOR MY CC REFUND. The facility is clean and new also climate controlled. Renters beware and take coverage policy to site before signing monthly agreement... UPDATE: Yenna did confirm my home insurance policy and reimbursed the added charge for on premise insurance. I still advise future renters to ask about the opt out.

The service at this Cube Smart is horrific. I used this facility BEFORE it was purchased by Cube Smart and it was Excellent so I returned to the same place. John is Excellent, but the lady there is snarly and out of the office most of the time. She posts a sign that she will be back in an hour and returns 2-2.5 hours later. I personally observed a total of 9 (NINE) people waiting during the 6 trips I made there on 2 separate days to speak with her. When I left a message I received a prompt, professional and timely response from Justin who was also Excellent, but not a location manager. The service is truly deserving of a ZERO STAR AND IS COSTING THE FACILITY REVENUE. AS A REAL ESTATE AGENT I WILL NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO BUYERS AND SELLERS. NAPLES HAS MANY OTHER FACILITIES THAT ACTUALLY WANT BUSINESS AND SHOW THE CUSTOMERS THAT THEY CARE.

Not an expert on self storage but, can't imagine a facility any better than Cubesmart. I have been in hospital rooms that weren't as clean! Healpful friedly staff, reasonable pricing and convenient location.

Clean facility, easy loading and unloading access, supplied carts to aid in moving storage items, key codes to avoid intruders lurking around in the building, professional and competent employees, on site personal 24/7, able to contact 24/7, climate control that works and building well maintained, cameras everywhere for added security, overhang for your unloading/loading needs so you and the storage items do not get soaked in cloud bursts, what in the world more could I ask for? Price seems fair to me after all that. They also supply insurance needs for storage items.

The lady was very friendly, the facility is kept immaculate and the prices are affordable. I went to look and wound up renting a unit on the spot.

Great under air storage facility. Clean environment and, friendly staff. Extremely overpriced storage and materials. They offer very short deals but are extremely overpriced compared to other units in the area or nearby. They have mandatory monthly insurance even if your personal insurance covers it. And they have a hefty initial charge for opening the account. They charge more for 1st floor units. How about making the 1st floor units for seniors and handicap instead of gouging customers? If money isn't an issue you'll like the facility.

Have to say the cleanest storage facility I've seen! 24/7 access with coded entry and two large overhangs by entrances to stay out of the weather. Price is on the higher side but fair. Easy access and they have large dolly carts inside for ease of transport.
