I needed a rental unit, secured it over the phone, and was contacted by Fernando the day before the move in. Fernando walked me through everything and made sure I knew how to access the unit, showed me the unit, locked it up for me, and made sure I understood how to pay. The gate broke on Dec. 23 so we had no access to our units until Dec. 26. When I went in and spoke with them about the situation the worker apologized, but said his manager hadn’t even put in a ticket to have the gate repaired. Myself and two others had things in our units we needed for Christmas. We never received any follow up about the gate or resolution.

New office personnel at the NSB location is much better then the past. The new gentlemen working there answers phone calls, emails & returns voice messages. He is also very polite & seems to care about his customers. He works with you, not against you. Example: One of our cars that we stored at CubeSmart broke down when we were moving out of a unit, he didn't give us a hard time about it being parked in the storage yard for an extra day. Check in went quickly and smoothly. Brianna was very friendly and explained the procedures clearly. Not a lot of paperwork to sign, and no SS# required, unlike Atlantic Self Storage. She let me use my own disc lock, so I didn't have to pay for that. My unit is 15' wide, as opposed to deep, so there is a nook on one side for my shelves. Sweet

Absolutely horrible to deal with thru hurricane Ian. Zero communication. No entry for weeks. Items that could have been salvaged no longer were. The establishment was well run and very clean but after 4 months our monthly fee increased by 50$ and that was not what we signed up for !! We where told OH ! That was the special introductory offer And that is a reasonable monthly fee of 205.00 $ per month !! We cancelled and moved out

Access hours are wrong. Facility took over a FOOT OF WATER from Ian in places as per employee onsite. Tennants are being denied access without calling to make appointment. Myself and another were denied access while I was there. I was called by cubesmart earlier this week, instructed to go inspect my unit as in their words, the facility took over a FOOT OF WATER in some units from Ian. Worker onsite today denied access. Seemed annoyed I showed up. She told me facility is closed online shows access till 10pm. I am trying to determine if my Harley Davidson is destroyed or not. I need to notify my insurance if necessary. My calls to corporate, first call was a transfer to no answer, 2nd said will send message to have the facility call me on Monday (its Saturday). Calls to location were unanswered. Let's see how it goes. Just be aware this location now has a history of flooding if you're worried about storing anything there.

This is a very poorly managed operation. Specifically the New Smyrna. Each location. Following the arrival of Hurricane Ian they have not allowed access to storage units for several days, Even though the city is completely opened back up. In the meantime our stored belongings are deteriorating from water intrusion. When contacted they give different excuses for not allowing access. The primary excuse is they are waiting for the city of New Smyrna Beach to inspect the buildings. However, in contact the city they stated there is no order to inspect any buildings. The management of this location is either very incompetent or they are merely liars. Either way, I would recommend somewhere else for storage!!

See updated BAD REVIEW AT BOTTOM. WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE! THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! So far so good. been there about a week but contactless svcwas great. They left me a lock in the unit . Coming from south Williamson in Port orange I was thinking ewww new Smyrna, so far, but actually I'm so glad that's what I chose as I was able to jump on 95 right from Williamson and the cube smart is not to far off the 95 exit either! Place was clean and quiet. A bit expensive HOWEVER every one I looked as was and this one was amongst the lower priced units. UPDATE:7/27/23 DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! After the hurricanes (Ian and Nicole) they sent out an "urgent"memo about remediation bcuz some units had been flooded. So after trying time and time again to contact them I finally was able to get ahold of them the last day before the remediation. So I had to take the day off from work so they didn't enter my unit without me and throw out all of my belongings. So I went and to my horror there was ruined items everywhere from others units. However when I opened mine to my utter surprise and happiness, my unit was unscathed! It didn't have one drop of water in it!!I couldn't be happier. So I went up to the front desk and reported my findings to not one, but 2 different employees. I asked them where do I go from there, did u have to do anything else and they said no that's it! I was thrilled. So I went back to my unit, checked around a bit more just to be sure there was not any mold or anything hiding. I locked up and left. Fast forward 2 months. I had a piece I wanted to add to the storage as this was all of my Good stuff i was saving for my future move into a new apartment. I put it all there for safekeeping since at the time I lived on beachside and I didn't want anything to get ruined. Well, I went to put the key in the lock and it didn't fit. Then I realized it was a totally different lock... oh well,I was thinking maybe they changed everyone's locks bcuz as i looked around everyone's locks were exactly the same as the ones on my unit. So I went to the front desk and asked her why my lock was changed? She was quite baffled but found me a set of keys and sent me on my way. Well when I opened the unit I almost FELL OUT... STRAIGHT TO THE GROUND! EVERYTHING IN MY UNIT WAS F$#*#! UP! The entire contents of the unit were no longer neatly packed and in order. Everything was in HUGE clear garbage bags with blue tape wrapped around . There was a Mashup of items thrown together and sadly many of my things were broken. Where I once had neatly packed order there was now disorder. Broken furniture haphazardly thrown in the unit in teetering piles where if you pulled the wrong piece out was suddenly like storage Jenga .. ah but this was no game this was my life. Saved from the hurricane yes but destroyed but cube smart and their little team of wrecking balls, aka remediators... who had NO BUSINESS WHATSOEVER entering my unit as I had ALREADY checked in the day of the process and said everything was fine. Well I was FUMING,LIVID SO ANGRY I COULD BARELY control myself as I stomped to the office, after calling them and was told I should come there. So I stepped in and asked the attendant why in God's name was my unit disheveled, and everything was ruined? After I had so carefully packed my items why did it look like a tornado went into the unit and then threw everything together halhazardly. Stuff was dripping wet, puddled in the bottom of the bags, there were broken tea cups that i had inherited from my grandma... items that I had lovingly put there that belonged to my more deceased fiance. God why did this happen was all I could think?I had done what they asked. Well the "woman"at the counter flippantly replied that they were cutting locks like mad crazy people that day and that my unit must have mistakenly been thrown in the mix. And she actually freaking laughed! I had to walk out I was so mad, so mad I wanted to smack her, shake her ask her why they ruined my life

Called to reserve and gave dates July 1 through 31 and now they are charging me an extra month $400 more dollars. So upset will never use this location again. Stay away. Beware. This place is absolutely price gouging Americans at the time we can least afford it. They charge 597.00 for a cc 10x15 when it is 140-160 at locally owned facilities. They are preying on am Americans who have lost the ability to pay the increased rents and gas. They also charge 110.00 late fee if ur 7 days late. the same size unit is 160.00 at locally owned storage facilities down to 145.00 for same cc unit and these predators charge 300% more a month,, it’s criminal!!!!!!! I would rather burn my belongings in storage than give these people a penny. I live in a studio on the ocean and my rent and hoa is $3.00 more to live on the ocean!!!! Cube smart is a perfect example of corporate predatory practices and i guarantee they will have their most profitable year ever when they release the earnings !!!! They are taking food out of the mouths of Americans and putting into their fat over paid pockets . Hope the corp jet crashes with the entire board

When I found myself in the middle of a last minute move in July, this CubeSmart location was literally the only place with multiple units available. I accidentally got too small of a unit, but Mrs. Debbie got me a larger one on the spot. She also knew what my situation was and hugged me through my tears offering me emotional support which meant soooo much to me. I popped in once and noticed a little note on the wall stating my unit had even been cleaned! Yesterday, I was finally ready to go through the past and downsize into a smaller unit, which Mrs. Debbie was again there to show me my options and help me find the perfect size. Even though I live 40 minutes away from this CubeSmart location, I wouldn’t store anywhere else solely due to Mrs. Debbie & her pup little Ripley Roo. My storage situation is different than just needing a place for extra stuff- the kindness that Mrs. Debbie showed me from day one means a lot to me and really shows her pride in helping others. Thank you CubeSmart for having nice, clean, available units & such an awesome staff!!

I did hospice with my mom in Atlanta. I had to put my things in storage in order to do this. I put them in storage in June 2021. In January of 2022, I returned back and literally was homeless until I could find another place to stay. I was living in a hotel. I asked whatever the woman's name was if I could do something, pay a little bit, something I was able to pay in January and February, but I could not pay March or April. Evidently, they sent a letter to my friend whose name was actually on the contract, not mine, but he never received it or he didn't bother to tell me if he did. They had my phone number, and I was in constant contact they could have very easily called me. We had put his name on it because I was in Atlanta and he was in Florida. He needed to have access if I needed him to. In May, they auctioned off my things. All of them every single thing my Mom had given me. My entire life. I lost my husband to covid in 2020. All of his memories are gone as well, all of my pictures, everything. I am just now able to talk about it without absolutely breaking down. I spent 6 months in hospice with my Mom and I pay on time every time and I'm home living at a hotel trying to get it back together so I can move my things out and they sell them. They auction them off. Everything I had from my mom, my clothes, my boots, my jewelry, my pictures. They auctioned off boxes that had my private information. I lost my mom. My mom died, and they auctioned off her things to strangers too much. After I returned to Florida, my mom died. I would not use this facility for any reason whatsoever because it's taking me a year to be able to talk about this. My heart is broken at the loss of my mom, and I have nothing nothing that she gave me or belongs to her. or that she wore or touched when she was with me down here. Because they sold it! They auctioned it off to a complete stranger over a $500 bill! 2 months, without even telling me not one word, without picking up a phone, I found out when I call to make a payment, that is it going to auction. I asked her to stop it, and she never called me back. Don't put your things here. They have no heart. Don't put your precious belongings where there is no ??. Evidently, the death in the family doesn't even constitute an emergency or a reason for compassion, understanding empathy. Don't put your things here. The woman who manages has no heart, in my opinion, and that's strictly hands-on experience. She sold my mom's things. And here's the kicker she turned me over to the credit so they could come after me while I am trying to heal from my mom a little bit and I have absolutely nothing no memories because they sold it and she's coming after me for the money. We have had an ac cooled storage unit at this address through 3 different companies. First was Pioneer Trail Storage, StorQuest and now CubeSmart. Each acquiring company has raised prices at least once and sometimes twice. CubeSmart has to be the absolute worst storage company of all. They have removed the door stops (needed if bringing in alot of items by yourself) because supposedly customers sometimes didn't raise the stop and the door stayed open. Now I went into the storage unit and no ac (checked with thermometer) when were paying for ac. Obviously its all about their bottom line and cutting their cost at the renters expense. Time to look around. CubeSmart responded that they would like to communicate with me about this post. I gave them info to contact me and they never responded.

Scott Anderson is the best, I came in for tape and some moving boxes for my apartment and this dude greets me with the greatest energy, he helped me find the dimensions of the things I needed to moved, and kept it simple and easy all with a smile that could light up the Mariana Trench, if I need moving supplies and boxes, I know where to go.

For 10+ years my husband & were very satisfied customers when it was Morningstar NSB. We never worried about damage to our contents due to our climate controlled units. We took great comfort in feeling our things were safe & secure. Managers were always kind & helpful. Then, it became CubeSmart ??. Managers came & went, not the same. At times we weren't happy with the temperature, but were advised it was cooled. Then surprise rate increases started. The last several years rates have been ludicrous substantial increases. Many other reviewers have complaints about it also. Today I'm online paying my bill, the confirmation page shows amount for new bill, INCREASE OVER $40.00!! That is it, I've had enough of you greedy people! I will definitely be leaving the fold!

The staff has been great from the very first phone call we made to research our storage options to now, months later, when we visit the unit and get a smile when passing paths. And the auto-pay feature makes it super handy to not have to worry about missing payments. Our extra stuff is safe and sound at our local CubeSmart.

The young woman that signed me up and got me my unit was extremely helpful and gave me good advice. She also was very patient and walked me through the process for the gate code and how to lock the unit. The unit itself was clean and easy to access.

Overall rental experience was positive. After hours customer service is non-existent. Had to call local police to assist when automatic gate locked me inside the facility and CubeSmart failed to answer their phones for over an hour.

Very clean facility, easy to move your things in and out they provide carts. Also less security it is awesome. Had our stuff at a nother units and Leesburg Florida and there was no comparison tests on price or customer service and cleanliness. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

Just wanted to update my review. The district manager called me and made this right. He kept the pricing for 12 months even though they don't normally do that. I'm changing my location to Daytona Beach as it is closer to where I need it. Thank you Cubesmart!!!! The pricing changes every hour. That is what I was told at the NSB location. My pricing changed three times, reserved a unit one month in advance (which I loved) thru the 800 # was told it was 10% off for 12 months. Was called about a week prior to my reservation date and was given a different price. Was told I would need to explain everything again in person at the NSB location. I drove from Daytona and was given yet another price. Then they were working on the pricing and was going to give me several other discounts. When I confirmed the price I was quoted on the phone for 12 months I was told that they do not keep pricing for 12 months. I got up, said I wasn't interested and walked out. VERY SHADY with pricing. Make sure you get everything in writing and get names of ppl you talk to!!

When I booked the storage unit (10x20) I was told it was an "outside drive up access." However when I got to CubeSmart storage unit, I learned that was not the case. In fact we had to take our items down a little hall to get to the unit. It was Friday night, so therefore to late to look elsewhere. Very disappointed.

The only reason I didn’t give them a five star rating is that the several different units that I rented over a three year period didn’t have electricity and I went up to a 10x20 There have been several different managers and employees and I never had a problem with any of them. The only reason I left was I’ve moved and now they are too far away I would definitely recommend for a friendly, clean and secure storage facility Steve Russ

Terrible experience. Matt, the previous GM was awesome. The new management is completely inept. The computer systems are always screwed up. I was on autopay and they kept calling me saying my payment was late. Every time it took several calls and several hours to fix it. Then next month, the same thing. Loyalty to customers under the new management is completely gone. Their attitude is that what’s good for the Corporation is best and screw the customer. Rented there for 8 years but I’m out of there as soon as I can find a new place. Just a shame that they lost Matt and now have some inept temporary manager who could care less and obviously is in way over her head. In addition, they ruthlessly raise rates on the units every six months. Expect 20% to 30% increases. Plus watch the extra charges. Their computer system screws up, you pay late fees and no exceptions. I was told by the new management to go to Edgewater as they are way more competitive. Guess I will take her advice. Use CubeSmart at your own peril. I’ve been associated with big business my entire life, if it were me, I would clean house and get rid of the regional manager or whoever the temporary manager is. It’s the blind leading the blind.

Both Tina and Carla were amazing to work with! We used U-Pack moving company that needed to deliver a large trailer to a storage unit since our condo would not allow it. CubeSmart and Carla were the only ones in New Smyrna Beach willing to help me! Carla worked with me to get everything setup since we were moving to the area and she was amazing! I have been using this facility for over 12 years and have had experience associating with several staff members over the years even before it was CubeSmart. I have to say that Karla and Lyn (and Bridget last year) are an absolute joy to not only work with but to have the pleasure to know. This facility is absolutely spotless; beautifully maintained; and one of the most accommodating businesses I've ever had the pleasure to associate with. Anyone in need of a storage facility would do themselves very well to seek out this particular location. They will not be disappointed - Karla and Lyn make that their goal each day. W. I had to call on a Saturday and get access last minute and could not find my keys anywhere. The staff was so helpful! Of course my super secure lock had to be cut off. They quickly verified my ID and, without a charge, took their grinder to my lock. They had a new lock for me at a reasonable cost and I was quickly in and out. So grateful to Bridget Ausmus for her help and kind professionalism . I am happy to keep my business with CubeSmart!

Cube smart is truly the best storage facility that have ever had the pleasure of doing business with, the staff are friendly, helpful, patient and kind the fact that was given the choice of air conditioned units or not , indoor units or out door units to pull up and unload ground units or upstairs units provided me with all the options needed. The prices are very affordable and competitive the office is clean and welcoming with all the supplies you would ever need to store you belongings!! My personal ratings on this facility are A+ 100 % WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. A FIVE STAR FACILITY!

You will not be disappointed with this storage facility. My husband and I have been customers at this location for about 5 years and we have no intention on leaving. To start off the facility is very clean and well maintained, from the restrooms and office to the interior hallways and exterior units. The staff is extremely informative and pleasant to work with. Both of the front office girls, Carla and Bridget are very helpful and professional. The prices are reasonable for such a great location, you will not find another storage facility within the area that is comparable.
