I've been a Cube Smart customer for 9 years this time and 2 years back in 2005-06 so I have lots of interaction to share. I've been completely satisfied all of those years. In the old days I worked with an employee named Fred and just loved him. Now in current times I'm working with a wonderful woman name Cindy who has helped me a lot. Most recently she guided me thru moving from one unit ti another and all went smoothly. As to the physical building, I've always been impressed with how clean it is. Always looks like it was just cleaned. And I've never seen a single bug! When I emptied my 9 year unit last month, there was not a single bug dead or alive after all that time. I can't say enough good things about my experience with this Cube Smart location and now the current person I work with, Cindy. I'm 76 years old and expect to need storage for some years. The only thing that could make me move from Cube Smart is the lack of a restroom when the office is closed.

Arrived and Kat came to the office within a minute or two. She was very friendly, and helpful. Showed me to the unit I would be renting to be sure once I viewed it, It would still suit my needs before we did paperwork. Everything went smoothly. She emailed me a copy of rental agreement. For the price, I got the first month free and then 40% off of the unit. It was same price as unit down the street but inside and climate controlled. My ONLY thing I am not happy with, is there is zero lighting in the unit. You have to depend on hallway lighting. Had I realized that, might have gone down the street anyway, as I will need to Hollyberry through boxes. Something to think about.

If I can give zero stars I well. Horrible customer service, two ladies that work in the office in Palm Harbor FL, the rudest people I’ve ever came across in my life. They tell you the wrong information on the phone just to get you in, and then when I complained a few days later, they told me we can refund your money and you can go somewhere else. rate increased $25 after only three months. I called the customer service 4 time to ask to speak to a district manager I was told somebody will call me within 48 hours but never had a call back. Obviously they don’t care about customers. Horrible people, horrible place. I will never go back to this company ever again.

The online booking process is user friendly. This location had the size of unit we needed and with climate control. The location is easy to get into and out of. Great customer service from Anna and Cindy, they do an awesome job to clean the storage very clean, it looks like new. Rules are very well explained and as many times as I asked. The managers are really helpful and dedicate extra personal time. I needed to unload a moving truck and they helped me locate an overnight parking spot that was convenient for my movers while not blocking access to other storage residents. The ladies recommended other contacts (moving companies, haul away) when I did not know anybody in the area. They made me feel very welcome and made my life easier, thanks for such a pleasant experience.

This is the first time I have ever needed a self storage and I am very glad I chose CUBESMART in Palm Harbor. This place is spotless and fully air conditioned which works great by the way. Rental cubes are easy to access and all storage supplies can be purchased in the store on the 1st floor. I must add that the absolute best thing about this location of CUBESMART are the two people that work there, Cindy and Anna. The manager, Anna, was extremely helpful and very friendly to anyone who walked in the door. She deserves a 5 star rating, because she is probably the only reason we stayed at the Palm Harbor, Fl location, for as long as we did. Unfortunately……there were constant rate jumps over the the years that were not inline with the economical environment of our country. Because of CubeSmart co’s refusal to compete with comprable facilities (who were willing to adjust) in the area, it made it financially unsustainable & unreasonable to stay there any longer, especially for our long term climate control storage needs. The clear message from CubeSmart corporate: “They don't seem to value their longterm storage customers”. Thank God for being in a Capitalist society… fair competition pushes us to do better… Cube Smart, Im sure you can do better to meet your longterm, loyal customer’s needs.

Rental prices are ridiculous they raise it every year about 50.00 paying 451.00 for a unit is crazy I was there 3 yrs and and it kept going up. Also, there is no light in the units to see. Staff was very nice. Storage space was adequate. A few modifications would make a big difference: Brighter lighting in hallways and perhaps some lighting in storage units. Have trash receptacles on each floor near elevators and first floor exit. Have easier to maneuver carts. (All were very difficult to back up and turn corners). We have used Cubesmart in Indiana and the things mentioned were available for customer ease and convenience which is why we went with Cubesmart, Florida. In Florida we were inconvenienced when visiting our storage unit because of these things.

Great experience. Kathie was super helpful before and during rental process as well move in. The rental process is very easy - completely on line or make a FREE reservation and then sign in store. Could not have been an easier process. Space was extremely clean, 2 big elevators to access 3 climate controlled floors of space. When you open the door to your unit on move-in day, there’s a gift bag on the floor to welcome you. Inside was a personal card from Kathie, some helpful information about their services and a convenient lock for the unit if you need it. Great experience and a fair price.

We made the mistake of thinking we're on auto pay. Once we found out we were not on autopay, we immediately went to the storage to pay and found we were charged a $40 late fee! Storage here is already very overpriced and to charge that high of a late fee is ridiculous! No thanks! Do yourself a favor and shop around for better prices.

I don't know if the company is trying to be completely automated or what but the computer system in their office wouldn't connect to their HQ but the web interface worked fine on my cell. So I had to fill in everything myself online in front of the manager. Feel sorry for the employees trying to conduct business as they were super friendly. Everything else was great for service, access and cleanliness. If they empower employees with a superb link to their system it would be 5 stars. Totally recommend.

Went there looking for a 10x10 unit which is what we got. Kathie was very nice. She answered all of my questions. Location was clean. The only drawback was the pricing. Was informed pricing comes down from corporate on a daily basis, so discounts and rates can change rapidly. Then when we went to pay, there were a number of additional fees and mandatory protection plans we had to tack on. We walked out having spent WAY more than anticipated. Had it not been for the immediate need for the unit, we probably would have gone with a cheaper option in town.

Update - Rent increased quickly after I signed the lease. Then CubeSmart terminated the lease, after only a few months. My experience with CubeSmart had been great. Accommodating on the start date when I had to push the reservation back, and Bill was very helpful and got me checked in quickly. The place is setup well and the parking space is easy to get into. Our recent experience with CubeSmart was excellent. I rented two 10 x 20 inside climate controlled units. I purchased 2 of their locks and the insurance option. The secure after hours access is exactly what one would want. Monthly pricing with no end term commitment. Stay or move out as our schedule dictated. The rental sign up experience was great. Bill explained all of the options, toured the units with me and recommended the most effective and cost efficient option from our 7000 sq ft home move to storage and then subsequently to our new home. I was able to reserve the units two weeks in advance of our move with no commitment in case anything went off track on our closings. On. Moving out, Bill has everything ready to go and the close was quick and easy with no surprises. The entire facility is extremely clean, organized and new, with excellent elevators, carts and access pads. The location on US 19 in PAL Harbor is convenient and easy for the trucks to park and load. The way that Bill manages the moving company crew is better than I expected. He knows most of the local movers and the way they work. Our team from Shawn & Shawn were very professional and worked well with Bill. Both were on time and took excellent care of our things. Bill keeps an eye on the crews and keeps them moving. It was not really an issue with the team we had, but nice to see. Bill Richards and Anna Morrice could not be more friendly, helpful or knowledgeable. As long as we live in this area, this is the only storage company we will use. Great storage spaces, facility and clear and attractive pricing. Our move could not have run more smoothly. Highly recommended!

My rental unit is more humid, and hotter than the one I rented at public storage! the one at PS was 10 x 10, in Tarpon Springs on Pinellas Ave, cost less per month, and had $ 1 for the first month!. it was against an external wall and the metal beams against the floor had rusted considerably. When I asked if they could move me to another 7 x 10 or even a 10 x 10 interior unit, they said there were none available, and I could get the first available, by which time, most of my items had been moved into the unit. When asked if they could adjust the thermostat and humidity control, they said no. Sure they were pleasant about it, but I can't recommend their Palm Harbor, FL location. I am putting 4 damp rid buckets in the unit and they are turning solid/filling with water in as little as 2 days, argh! The first visit had the units so cool and the humidity so low, I wondered if they adjust thermostats when they have people coming in to sign up for a unit, and return to a hotter, more humid setting after they have them rented...hmmm. I think that they should offer to give me a considerable refund and lower the monthly rate to make up for the difference in conditions...I have severe mold/dust allergies, and carry an epi pen for these, as well as chronic migraine, so I am sensitive to their current conditions.

On the day we purchased a boat, we started seriously looking for a safe, organized, and clean storage location close to home. We found this CubeSmart location and Tom showed us the only available 20' space. Unfortunately the vehicle in the next space was over the line so much so that our boat trailer wouldn't fit. Tom called the individual renting that space and advised him that he had a flat tire on the vehicle and that the vehicle was parked over the line and preventing a new customer from parking a boat in the adjoining space. Tom asked that the vehicle be moved the next day and then suggested a safe space within the storage lot where we could store the boat until the space we would rent was ready. Tom then suggested we add our name to the list for a 30' space, which we did. The next day the vehicle had been moved and we moved our boat and trailer into the space. Tom went above and beyond to help us get settled into a safe storage location.

It's a pretty clean straight forward storage facility. One minor nitpick is that you have to reenter your access code to leave. This is the only place I've ever been that has made me do that. That and there is only one way in and out. So if someone is trying to enter when you are leaving it can pose an issue.

I researched and visited several facilities and this is by far the best. It's clean and neat. Fred was very helpful. As a matter of fact on the day the moving van arrived we went to the facility and stood in the parking lot checking off boxes as they were unloaded. Fred saw that my wife had hurt her back and was limping so on his own without being asked he rolled his chair from behind his desk into the lot and put it in the shade of a tree so she could sit down in comfort while he stood behind his desk for the next two hours.
