Trust me, You Do Not want to use this facility! If you lock up your valuables with a lock purchased from CubeSmart some how they have the ability to vanish into thin air! With a locked unit and no signs of forced entry no police report or insurance company will help you. When the front desk knows ur from out of town it makes it even easier for your things to disappear. This facility needs an internal investigation. There are many other storage companies to choose from in this town and i would strongly suggest giving your business to one of them. This place is shady and gangster as it gets!

Had everything in our unit stolen. Paid for the insurance. They refused to pay because of no obvious forced entry. The also refused to spend the time to look at cameras. They said they would get back to me, they didn’t. I’m out $4000 and they don’t care. Time for an Attorney I guess.

I have been at this place for a little over two months. I received a notice last week that my rent would increase from a little over $25 a month for my next month. I'm not happy, but this is within the contract. As disappointed and frustrated as I am about the rent increasing after only two months, I want to give this review about Nikkia. I called to vent my frustration and she calmly explained everything and gave me some options to help and offset the cost. This is the third time I have talked directly with her and every time she has been very professional and gracious. This review isn't about CubeSmart itself, which would get a 3 star as of today just for my frustration, but this 5 star review is directly for Nikkia. I'm not totally happy with the situation, but I am happy with the options she gave me and how great she was while we were on the phone. No attitude or making me feel like I should have known or that's just the way it is. CubeSmart would be wise to do what they need to to keep her as long as possible. If Nikkia's uppers see this, please call her and thank her because in today's world you don't find many people who can deal with customers, particularly frustrated customers, in a calm, professional, and courteous way and it meant enough for me to immediately get on here to write a review about her.

I came in at the very last minute. Literally 559 and nikkia, the young lady working at the front desk was absolutely amazing. She was in a hurry to get to her kids, but she still knewIt was important that I got Into my unit as I had a truckload, of stuff already. Then we were having issues with the card machine and I didn't have cash so she was so very patient. My parents have had a unit at the Joan Ave location for 4 1/2 years. The price has TRIPLED over that time period. There was mold/mildew on many items when we cleared it out today, and it was very warm inside the building, definitely warmer than the advertised 71 degrees. We are so glad to have our things out of there!

I went to the Joan Avenue location where I currently have a unit. I wanted to switch to a less expensive unit. Nikkia, the manager, was so pleasant and helpful. She listened to my needs and concerns and gave me several choices with clear, thoughtful explanations of each, based on what I told her. Awesome. The unit stayed over 80 degrees in the “air conditioned unit” and they said that was standard. They price gouge. Lock you in for one rate and after 6 months they keep raising the price. Mine went from $90 to $234 in 2 years, But new units were renting for $80!

Climate control storage wasn't cool enough. It was just not cooled to a temperature that felt comfortable, nor made a difference had I kept my fur coats at home in my closet. I moved my stuff out and broke in a sweat bc honestly there wasn't much air flow or a sense of cooled air. Other than that it served its purposes

DO NOT KEEP YOUR BELONGINGS HERE!!!! I’ve spent thousands of dollars keeping ALL my items in this storage facility while we searched for a new home. When we came to get our items to finally bring home, almost EVERYTHING was destroyed by water damage (leaking) and an obvious mice infestation. I would’ve been better off throwing my belongings away to begin with and saving myself the money I spent on a place that was SUPPOSED to keep my items safe and dry. RUN FAR AWAY from this establishment!!! They also force you to buy insurance but add clauses in to make sure you never get a dime when you make a claim. This whole place is a scam. Next time I’ll skip the storage and just sell all my furniture and clothing, at least I’ll be paid for it and I won’t be paying someone else to destroy everything I own.

Rude disrespectful, young low-income management with an attitude omg. I have been there less than 30 days My main reason for leaving is breach of contract they promised the front doors would be secured with a code which has not been the case, also they appear a bit less expensive online until you get there. That's when all the hidden fees come out. I highly recommend you find another location even if it cost you an extra $10 it's well worth it.

After having my items in storage and paying almost $400 a month for 8 months. I moved into a brand new home. All of my clothing had mold and mildew on it. Can't get rid of the smell. All of my household stuff also has the same smell and every box had tons of roaches in it and the boxes were so moist because the AC temp was not low enough or not working. Now I'm having to throw away most of my items that I had in my home after living there for 22 years because of having my stuff in this climate controlled location. Almost paying $400 a month and all of my stuff is ruined. Please do not bring your stuff there. I am so disappointed. I was forced to purchase monthly insurance coverage so I submitted a claim and my claim was just DENIED. Now I have so many personal belongings that were destroyed and I was told denied after being forced to purchase and pay monthly insurance coverage. I am so upset that they didn't care at all that my items were destroyed.

Manager is excellent. Unit is clean but on 4th floor not 1st and moving a house full like that is very difficult. Expensive monthly rate for the smallest unit and being forced to pay insurance is BS. Should be my choice, not theirs. Two huge moving trucks blocked the entire parking lot for 2 hours which cost me an extra day uhaul rental that I couldn't unload in time. Wouldn't rent again.

I had the worst experience here. My unit had a leak and I was told to contact the insurance company, I did. Of course they didn’t reimburse the items at the price I bought them. I was never offered help to move my items out of the leaking unit to my house or another unit inside CubeSmart. Another storm hit our area and my items were damaged more. I wasn’t able to remove my items for two months, due to working two jobs and the hours the Unit is open, and still continued to pay full price for the unit. When I asked the Insurance company about continuing to pay while my items were being destroyed, they said I would need to contact the storage unit and when I contacted them they said I needed to contact insurance. Nobody ever answers the phone or responds to emails in a timely manor. Very disappointed. UPDATE 11/20/20-Emailed the "help" email and no one has responded.

I booked at CubeSmart on Joan Ave. online and received a call shortly after to confirm the reservation and give me some information. They allowed me to extend the move in date later with the same price. Everything went very smoothly on move in day. The associate who got the reservation completed was fast, friendly and efficient. The facility was clean and easy to access. We had looked at another storage facility on W Hwy. 98, but they doubled their prices shortly after we checked with them in June. Glad we found CubeSmart. Very pleased with the experience and the facility.

Cooling system is not working properly. Mildew on my leather. Parking for loading and unloading is way too small and dificult to manuver big truck or trailer. Called 3 times to tell them I was moving to another climate controlled facility. Never returned my call. Had to go online and stop autopay. Raised my rate $200 over a 2 year period. Was good when I first rented 4 years ago but has gone downhill ever sence. Especially in the past year.

Called their general number to reserve. Excellent service there. Angelina called to confirm res and again, very polite and offered a 10x5 instead of a 5x10. I told her how that works better for me as I will be storing seasonal decorations and with this layout I can easily access each season. I wish she had noted that. Went to do lease and got Lynda. Very disappointed. Started by asking if I could get my hourly help moving in while we did the lease and she said no. I wasn't too put off as rules are rules. About half way through my lease process, two people walked in the office. Lynda stopped what she was doing with me and helped them. I guess they were there to take donated items away but it was rude that they were not told to.wait until Lynda was finished with me. During the paperwork I again said how I was pleased with a 10x5 for the layout. I assumed it was a long door. After we finished up, Lynda showed me how to access the door and I said I wanted to bring my guys upstairs with us for the first load. She wasn't keen on waiting and rushed me up the elevator. I waited at the elevators for the next one with my movers and Lynda walked ahead and took off her lock. Lynda did not wait for us and then hurried back to the elevator. Low and behold I get a corner unit with a skinny door. Not what I wanted. I was already frustrated and just had my guys move the stuff in. Not pleased at all.

The manager that runs this place is very rude, I understand their policy and following the rules and regulations. Yes I've been late on my payments a few times but it does not give them the right to lower any paying customers standards by critisizing them or placing them under your door mat to walk all over. Customer service beyond amazing! My son and I flew in to Florida from Colorado to empty out 2 storage units he was renting while he settled in Colorado. One of the storage units had a problem with the lock in the past and the locksmith had left it damaged. So it was locked but unable to unlock with the key because he drilled the pins. We found Linda who was closing up shop because it was just past closing time. She didn't have to help us. She was well within her rights to say "sorry we're closed" and direct me to another locksmith. Instead, she helped us! She verified our identified and that the units were in good standing. She called people to get authorization and filled out the paperwork. She put on work gloves and eye protection and safely cut the lock off for us. She was amazingly polite, friendly, and professional. Thank you Linda! You saved us a lot of headache and frustration. You're the best!

Nice ppl in the office and very diligent in safety checks.so so important after the Hurricane! A few times they called me to tell me my lock was not put on properly. I must have ran off quickly without checking. The price is good and worth every penny. I also like the bathrooms are safe and clean and stocked. The lighting is great. Important when you check your stuff after dark. The air conditioning is perfect throughout the facility.Not just on the first floor! There is a map when you get off the elevator and exit signs are clearly marked. Sorry for such a long review but after a temporary move out of state I can see how good this palace was compared to where I am now.( since pulled out of it) Thanks cubesmart. I’ll be back!

Disappointed in the increased prices at the Panama City Beach location....price gouging of those less fortunate to have been caught in hurricane Michael. Also the mandatory insurance scam not very appealing. I retired and moved to Florida in early May. One of my concerns was finding climate storage for my furniture and my belongings until my place place got painted. I was referred by a friend to CubeSmart storage on Joan Avenue (store 6161). I was truly impressed. All the staff are very friendly yet highly professional. The manager helped me determine the right size units I need and he was right on the dot. Kenny, the manager, processed my lease by email and it went flawlessly. What a first class service, thank you Kenny. I ended up renting two units, a 10 x 15 and a 10 x 10, and both were super clean. The day of the move, Kenny and his staff were very helpful assisting 3 trucks that were moving at the same time. Kenny was also helpful in answering all of our questions regarding getting services to our new place, this is especially helpful to new residents like myself. Kudos to Kenny and his team and to CubeSmart store 6161, my moving experience was excellent and I highly recommend them for storage services, it simply doesn’t get any better than that. Wonderful customer service! When I called to reserve a 5 x 5 cube, Kenny told me that none were available near the elevator. I asked him to call me back if one opened up before my reservations date. I honestly did not expect that he would actually watch for one for me, but he did! Three days later he called to tell me he had one open up and he would reserve it for me. Thanks so much Kenny! Our unit got broken into, then they increased the price of our shed, and after having our TV stolen when it was broken into we field a claim with the mandatory insurence they have, after weeks of trying to find out about our claim they now say we never submitted one, which we did and have email conformation. Before I even rented I read the reviews online & the couple people that are on here saying nothing but negative reviews about him an this CubeSmart are obviously people who are disgruntled & A. Are Obviously trying to get money out of CubeSmart or B. Probably still owes CubeSmart money. Being a manager in customer service for over 25 years the first thing that you learn as a business manager is that you're not going to make everyone happy all the time and your always going to have someone that has to gripe about something because for some reason or another they're not happy with the way things turned out. When the only person that they truly need to blame is themselves for their own action or behavior. As far as my personal experience and actually two other people who referred me to CubeSmart Kenny has been nothing but professional and courteous and has went above and beyond to be nothing but the best customer service representative that we've ever experienced in the rental industry.

Once at the facility, I was shown around, shown how the codes work, how the doors work, and taken to my unit. I was provided with carts to unload our U-Haul. I really don't know where too start!! I rented a unit the price was only 40 some dollar's! ! Im disabled and was homeless!! Couldn't believe what the price was the next month!! Fell behind and my unit became infested with roches! ! When I could catch up i would bomb but could never get rid of them! ! Customer service is so bad!! Would never rent again! ! Would hope no one goes threw what I have!!

Climate controlled to keep the heat from killing your stuff. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, with a slight smell of bug spray, which I guess is good considering. Easy access until 10 pm, this is not a 24 hour facility as I've seen advertised, though we were told we can ask for exceptions if we need late access one day. Has a bathroom for a quick tinkle when you're busy on moving days. They provide large carts and huge elevators, so getting stuff loaded in to our unit actually seemed way easier than sweating our butts off loading our old drive-up unit. Only cons are that they made too many mentions to us about how if we pay late this and that will happen and that we shouldn't think it's ok to live out of our locker. I mean, sure some people might do that, but not us...so it was a little awkward hearing all about it. Some of the doorways may be too narrow for really large items, though we fit our smallish armoir through no problem. And though it's a secure building and they have cameras and motion sensor lights everywhere, it feels pretty creepy walking around in the place, especially alone. Buddy system ftw.

I have. never rented a storage unit before. I was pleasantly surprised . The associate was very knowledgeable and courteous . She explained everything in detail. The storage facility itself is extremely clean. . I was very pleased .

I hadn't secured the latch on my door properly and Kenny called me to notify me of this mistake. He was very respectful and provided polite customer service. I could tell he really cares about the customer. He cares about the property as well because he was cleaning the floor upon my arrival. I am thankful for Kenny's sincerity and professional attitude.

Visited this place after considering a move to the area. We have a small side business and some inventory we will need to store. I had spoken to Autumn on the phone a few weeks earlier and then met her in person. This place was so clean, she was so helpful and answered all of our questions and eased our concerns about storing our hand made signs at this facility. Excellent, knowledgable service.

I did a lot of research and I am so happy I settled on this place as "The One." From the get-go, Autumn made everything so very easy...showing me available units, entertaining me on the walk thru (the normally awkward walk thru was actually fun and had me laughing), and was super efficient at signing me up and making sure I got the best discounts and the best price. A normally annoying process was painless for the first time ever. (I move a lot and have rented a lot of storage units.) As for the actual place itself...it's everything you could want in a storage place...super clean, numerous options to choose from, best price in area for what I wanted, and in a secure, big, solidly built building. Security is top notch - access codes, cameras all over, panic buttons in case you get lost in the green and white maze or need help, and a fire sprinkler system so if someone's unit catches fire, they all won't. The climate control was also at the perfect temperature and I have no worries about mold or mildew...or bugs. They take care of all that so no worries! There's also the normal stuff like free handcarts and elevators. If you need a storage unit, I highly recommend this one.

The words "Stay Local" never rang more true. I needed a storage unit pretty quick thinking I would stop in Cube Smart. They might as well change the name to Cube Dumb. They changed the price on me then lied about needing home owners insurance to rent a unit. They did not care at all. Just said that was the way it was. So I split and went to Bay Mini Storage on Thomas drive. I could not have had a better experience. Quick and Easy and a better price. Ashley is the best! She answered all of my questions and was professional and courteous. She is always there, even on Sundays! If you need a storage go to Bay Mini!!

this cube smart on Panama city Beach FL is losing people's locks, telling customers in letters that their locks were the unlocked or missing. myself and my mother both got letters couple months apart. then the manager says you can buy a lock from them and they will mail the key. they know were both out of state. for this to happen to me is one thing but then this happens to my mother shortly after makes me wonder what they're upto and not trust them. they are messing with the locks and need to be investigated! I will be making a complaint to the owner and letting others know about the scam they're trying to pull! this is bull and they are lying and charging customers the cost of new locks on their bill. if you also got a letter about your unit with a similar issue then please make a complaint or comment so this cube smart knows that the people they're trying to screw, know something fishy is going on at this location and it will be getting looked into!

My experience with CubeSmart on Joan Ave. was absolutely stress free. I was greeted warmly, showed my cube, asked if it was acceptable, and the paper work was a breeze. The ladies working that Saturday were extremely friendly and able to help with other questions I had regarding packing and storing. Definitely the place to go on the beach!!!

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in over 30 years of renting storage. I am a U.S. Army Veteran that proudly served my country. First, as I tried to secure my rental and receive the military discount they openly advertise, I received a direct slap in the face when I was informed that my previous service did not matter and they only gave veteran discounts to active duty military. Next. I was also told that I "MUST" put insurance on old clothes and papers that were going to be stored or I would be forced to buy their insurance. Finally, their website deceptively advertised 10% off and the first month free. I reserved the unit online and was charged full price. When I called and spoke to the manager she said those deals change and she has no control over them. I will never rent from them and I hope that no other service member or their family rents from them either. I will never patronize a company that doesn't honor ALL of the veterans that served our country.

I just moved from NYC where I had a unit at a Cubesmart in Long Island City, Queens. It is so convenient and well run that I decided to rent from Cube Smart in Panama City, Florida. It is also very convenient. The lady who had us fill out the paper work was very helpful and took the time to show us to our unit. No complaints with how the store is run. I also like that the first month's rent is free. My only complaint is the actual size of the unit. We rented a 5' x 10' unit. The actual dimensions are significantly smaller. (If I remember correctly about 9 1/2' x less than 4 1/2') I wish I would have taken a tape measure with me when I first saw the unit to see if I could get a different one. We are storing two recliners for friends and with those in there, there is about 10" in front of them- not enough to store anything of significance. I can't even pack it in tightly because the door is on the 10' side so I have to allow enough room for the door to operate smoothly. Those extra 6"-8" on both dimensions would have made a big difference.

This review is my opinion. Just rented a 10x5 climate controlled unit. Their contract does say sizes are approximate, but I measured my unit and it was 10x4 to the door, which is the usable space in the unit and is 20% smaller than advertised. If it were truly 5 feet, my unit would extend into the hallway. Check the size of the unit before signing the contract if it is important to you because after I signed they said they didn't have any other 10x5 units available to switch me to. Other than that, the person I spoke with was very nice and knowledgeable with great customer service. Would definitely do business with again in the future, but I'll measure the unit I'm getting first.

Very professional. Amelie gave us all of the information we needed and quickly finished the paperwork we had started earlier in the week. The staff had our storage unit ready on time. Only one small issue, if your office hours say 8:30 am, then don't have customers wait ten minutes outside while you "open" the office. Otherwise I would recommend this location.

Only issue is they make you purchase insurance on your property you put in even though it may not be worth that much and not replaceable. Should bean option. Manager Amelie is excellent. I had never heard of Cube Smart and booked a unit over the phone. Customer service has always been super nice and quick. When we moved our stuff in, the facility was pretty nice! Very clean, easy access with dollies and wide elevators and they sell locks there if you forget one. The best part was seriously the staff. Amelie was so helpful and patient getting all of our paperwork squared away and we ended up having to rent a second unit and she worked with us on getting the best rate. Would definitely recommend!

I usually have an operating vehicle but my car broke down and i called for a cab and the operator was extremely rude and not at all helpful. Refused service. His exact words "not interested" and that was because the one time i called for a pick up my boyfriend just got back to me when i hung up with them and told me he could give me a ride to work. So i immediately called the fast cab back to cancel. Now this time fast cab operator guy just refused me because that one incident. RUDE service and your welcome for even calling you to cancel! Plenty other cab services with more professional and pleasant people, not to mention cleanlier smelling vehicles.

I got the best airport deal with them. When I landed, they were already waiting at the ECP airport. I stayed at the Summit Condo and I used Fast Cab to drop me off back at the airport.
