Ms Sandy is AMAZING!! Our generator was in our storage unit when Hurricane Sally hit.. On friday i called customer service and Candace sent a message to Ms Sandy that we were in need of our Generator. With the power being out ALL OVER, Regina in Panama City called me to let me know Ms Sandy was on sight and that she would be able to escort me to our unit to get the generator. After we got back home we realized we didn't have the key.. At 530 i called Regina back and told her what happened, she said, Ms Sandy was still on sight, she called Ms Sandy to let her know i was on my way to her.. She again met us at the gate and escorted us so we could get what we needed.. The entire team( on sight as well as off) were absolutely amazing!! We can not thank these wonderful ladies enough!!!

Only drawback was my moving truck was a 26' and was not able to turn into the lanes separating the units, so the moving men had to unload and walk 20 yards to my unit. I left another storage company after a week because of multiple problems and dishonesty and because the manager would not wear a mask in a tiny confined office and made several offensive remarks about it. That place was a disaster for several other reasons. In contrast, Sandy, this CubeSmart manager, is highly responsible and conscientious and declined to approach me while working on something else on the property when I asked her a question--outside--because she was not safely masked. That is the right way to handle the pandemic situation. We moved some of my things into a clean, well-designed, and well-maintained unit. I am confident that this manager knows what she is doing and can handle problems in a professional and competent manner. Very pleased so far.

Unfortunately I have to give them one star to write a review. My fiancé and I had been renting with them for a good bit of time now. We actually sold some stuff in our unit so we needed a smaller one ( to save money of course). On a Friday afternoon my fiancé told them that we would like a smaller one. The person was nice and understanding and we were also told we had the WHOLE weekend to move our stuff into the new unit and when Monday comes we would only have to pay for the small unit ( because you pay for the month in advance). My fiancé then goes to the unit to see that it is LOCKED and we cannot move into it. So he finds a small unit that is unlocked and puts our belongings in it. Today (Monday) my fiancé gets a call to move his stuff out of the unit because it was someone else’s. (Which I understand because it was not ours, BUT OUR UNIT WAS LOCKED). They then proceed to tell him that we can now move into the new unit but we have to pay the OLD UNIT PRICE! So of course we left that day with our belongings so we didn’t have to pay a thing! So beware if you want to move units because they will LOCK IT ( so you can’t move into it) and try to have you pay the bigger price.

The storage space was clean and gated. The only thing I didn't like was there were a few surprises when we got there. I expected just to pay the administrative fee and the first month, but they tried to charge me an additional monthly fee (minimum $12 per month) for renter's insurance. When I originally submitted a form online to reserve a space. Within a few minutes, I got a call to give me more information. There was NO information given about this additional required fee. Luckily, we had our own policy. And I had to show it to them, so thankfully, I was able to pull it up on my phone. I understand they want to protect themselves, but this information should be on their website and mentioned on the follow up call. Also, they asked if my husband was military. Then, they had him sign a form so they can contact his command if we default on the payment. It left me with an icky feeling. Don't get me wrong, we're never late paying our bills and he's been in the military for 24 years. But, just didn't feel right. I felt I like was being taken by a slick salesman. I haven't rented a storage unit in over 10 years and it seems to me that it's a hard push to make more money. The ladies in the office were nice, but I felt like I was signing my life away. And the last thing that really turned me off is they have a sign posted by the door with the name's of customer accounts that were in default and were about to have their possessions auctions. I don't know that this is a a legal requirement or not, but this just feels inhuman. So, if you decide to store your possessions here, ask for all the information to make the right decision for you.

I have nothing but good things to say about this storage facility. I was moving across the country from Los Angeles just before thanksgiving. Due to traffic and other delays I wasn't able to arrive in Pensacola until 9pm the night before thanksgiving. I called ahead during my drive to find a storage facility that would allow me to check in that late at night but no place was going to be open so late (let alone the night before thanksgiving when everyone has off). However when I called CubeSmart I was able to speak with the Pensacola general manager, Sandy Grooms, and she assured me that I would be able to check into my storage unit whenever I was able to show up. Turns out she left home to come in after hours just to make sure I was able to sign my paperwork and put my life possessions into storage before the thanksgiving break. Thank you Sandy! You saved me a huge headache and it was because you went above and beyond all expectations.

Good customer service! Sandy was outstanding. The facility was clean and reasonalbly priced. If you have homeowners insurance, you may be able to waive the "mandatory" insurance. I was not aware of the $24 administrative fee to set up the service. I was told this could not be waived. I am not sure what other companies charge, so it would be worth addding that when comparing prices.
