Girls at front desk are very nice and accommodating. Gentleman working there has zero personality and doesn’t make you seem like you’re in a friendly place. Unit I have is inside a hallway with minimal lighting. There is no lighting in unit which makes it difficult to see. I suggest you bring your own portable light since there is no electrical outlets available to use.

Much too expensive and keep raising their rates I went with U-Haul storage, for the same thing I’m paying half and the climate control is much cooler at U-Haul. only thing good about Cube Smart was that it was convenient n easy access from unit to car but I regret having spent so much of my money there for two years. My fiancee and I decided to store our stuff at CubeSmart after both moving from out of state. The days that we were moving in, it was incredibly hot to which I asked the staff what was going on. They informed me the A/C had been broken but should be fixed by the end of the week. This was on June 1st, 2023. A/C should be working as I am paying a premium for a "Climate Controlled" Unit. Fast forward and all I have heard were excuses every time I go up there. First it was that corporate would not approve the repair or replace. Then they told me that, "the HVAC technician that was sent out was too fat to get on the roof." Next I was told that a lighter technician came out, but it started storming. I go up there today (hoping it was FINALLY fixed) only to be told that there is a battle going on between the owner and corporate about reinforcing the beams on the roof to finally get HVAC back there to fix it. Every time I ask for them to pro-rate my monthly bill, I get hit with a, "we can't do that, sorry," and I know that non-climate controlled units typically run way less as you can't store certain things in them, such is the case with my unit. I am not able to store certain items as the combination of the heat and humidity in FL could damage them. Only reason I have not moved out of CubeSmart to the storage facility next door (Extra Space's A/C works) is the cost and time incurred to do so, but that will be the next step. The only reason I am okay giving even the two stars is that the staff up there is friendly and helpful where they can be with move-in and questions. I know they have no bearing on the repairs as they just work there, but CubeSmart and the owner of this location need to get it together.

I initially rented the unit online and a few minutes later, Deedee called me to welcome me to the property. A day later, I was having issues with the gate and was also unaware that my unit was a non-climate unit. Deedee called me a few moments later to provide me with info on how to get into the unit due to mechanical issues. Yusuel switched my unit to a climate control as well as eased my worries in regards to the difficulties I had accessing the property. Unfortunately, I thought everything was a smooth transition throughout the year, but when it was time to leave the storage, cubesmart could not help us out with an insurance claim that had to be done for furniture replacement. They said we responsible to move out the furniture that is no longer going to able to be use because of incident which caused for an insurance claim. They could not prove us with help in moving out the furniture. At the end of the day, a little bit of assistance could have been proved for the incident that occurred.

I received the info for the storage unit via email but Kathy took the time to send separate instructions with the pertinent details only. The only problem is that they are open for 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. . That's great and all but if you need access to your facility then what do you do? Other than that they Auto draft out every month and it's a pretty good deal. It's like 65 bucks for the smallest one they have place is clean, it's well kept up and I've never had any issues. I would give them five stars but you know, the facility access hours are not great if you need to get in before you go to work. So in all fairness, if you are cool with the access hours, no questions five star.

I kept my things in storage for about a year because they had a great promotion; however I do not recommend the site I chose as I found a dead rat in my storage unit. The dead rat stained my king sized mattress and it had to be thrown away. I cannot speak for other sites but this one at this time was not a good one. Insurance did not cover rodents (rats) so my mattress had to be thrown out without any compensation to get a new one.

The price kept skyrocketing and got to the point of being way too expensive. The last increase was $205 bringing the cost of my unit to $948/mo. When I moved out I found vermin feces all over my furniture, and boxes, and floor and my boxes and baskets were chewed up. I chose Cube Smart because they were close by and the office staff was very nice.

The company continued to get greedy and kept raising my rates. There were rat droppings outside my units door, inside, on my containers and the edges of a container were chewed. The cart was falling apart and ear plugs are needed as the wheels are exceptionally loud. Where the units are in the back is very dark. The staff at the office were always very nice, however.

Great place overall. Like the fast and contactless setup. 4 out of 5 stars only because they are so quick to charge you. They send invoices for the next month almost immediately after you pay your current bill. Just a little pushy on the billing

I rented a storage unit from cube smarts Gatlin Blvd.in PSL, Fl. facility and the contract reads that insurance is the customers choice and the customer is solely responsible . I was told the first month was a mandatory insurance charge. I moved out in 2 months and there was water damage to one of my mattresses I was told that they did not know when the water damage occurred "the first month or the second" I changed to my own homeowners Insurance for the second month. So they were not responsible. Also there were so many rodent droppings all over my items that a few things had to be thrown out and the rodents ate into 3 of my boxes. I wonder what insurance this falls under? When this was brought to the managers attention all I was told was they would get an exterminator.

She has often mentioned how nice you were to her. These things are very important to a person that has lost their entire way of life. To them they have lost everything. A smile, a caring compassionate demeanor goes a long way. You were there prior to the transition to cubesmart. I have had a unit since 8/19 and added a unit 10/19 The staff onsite is great The place is very well maintained Other than that, they have raised my rent due to "market conditions" and my in-laws changed their unit for a smaller one. They were quoted one price and then my bill indicated $30 more per month than they were quoted. I asked what the market conditions were that affected my increase and the manager could not explain it. I asked if these market conditions would also go down, as any financial cycle would eventually correct and was told they never reduced the rent. If you need extra storage I would recommend selling your car to cover the rent and storing your items anywhere else you can. This is extortion. I'm not sure if the entire industry is like this but I have a feeling it is.

Hours are not accommodating 9 - 4:30? Especially when the competition next door, offer longer hours! Lighting is not adequate, bulb has not been blown for over 2 months now. Have to use flash light when visiting unit.

I don't understand the hours that they operate. They close at 5:30... you can't even access your unit after this hour... customers should be able to get in until at least 8pm. Most people work and these bankers hours are not accommodating.

No complaint what so ever when I first started. Under new ownership my furniture & boxes were chewed up by rats. I complained took pictures. Basically they did nothing. Insurance doesn't cover infestation. They said "If other people bring in food that attrack rats they can easily move into other people's storage." I threw out damaged items and moved to another storage place.

Bad experience with new ownership. Remodeled units are smaller, more expensive and has dozens of sharp metal edges and screws in the unit ready to cut you or rip your belongings. Still waiting to hear back from several emails I sent about the issue.

Previous to the buy out, discount storage was awesome!! I had just been moved to a larger unit and within a couple of weeks of that time was notified there would be a buyout and my section would be renevated first so I got an eviction notice. If I decided to stay and get another unit there, I would be evicted when that area was ready to be worked on. The initial letter fave us 2 wks. to move out and no matter what we paid for the following month ( I had to be out by mid-June), it was stated NO money for that month would be returned. I told them both of these things were illegal and subsequently a follow up letter made corrections to those issues. Do not recommend them with new ownership. They could not even quote prices if we wanted to stay, but was told they would be increased.

If the stars would go into the negative I would give them a negative star rating! The way they treat their employees is deplorable. From humiliation to back stabbing they run the gamut. How despicable to fire someone because they are too nice and they do the right thing to make the customers feel important and cared about. How despicable to make a kind person feel like dirt. I am praying that the new storage building that is being built next store puts them out of business.
