Absolute worst service from the “General Manager” Mellissa and storage facility I’ve ever worked with. If I could give them zero stars I would. This location has had several break in and as well as insect infestation. There has been known rumors of people living inside their units after hours. My unit have been vandalized several time with no management intervention to resolve the issues. The security gate that’s is supposed to protect our unit has been damaged for months and has not been repaired. If you are looking for a storage unit please seek a better location.

TERRIBLE! I preface this to say, I buy storage units during auctions and I have moved a few times. This is not my first rodeo dealing with a storage facility. Upon check in, Kristina, whom is from another location, was nice and doing her best with what should could do to assist me. With her assistance, it started off great. I was informed that I could pay a $100 deposit to rent a cart during business hours because this location does not have carts due to individuals stealing them. I wasn't able to begin moving in right away that day due to my unit needing to be swept out prior to move in. Because I was not in a rush, I came back later in the evening to give them time to handle this. A new worker was informed to do the sweeping of my unit, and he ended up accidently checking my unit out. Therefore, when I went to move my things into my unit that evening, my code wasn't working and there was another lock on my unit preventing me to access it. THANK GOODNESS the employees were still there.. as they were about to leave due to it being EOB. They had to reassign me the unit/ "move me back in". Upon doing so, my card on file was charged twice. I had no idea until the next day. The next day, I spoke to someone named Lisa in the office. She was very rude and had an attitude from the moment I walked in the office. She was on a personal call while I was in the office. I felt the need to say upfront "Please know, I do not have an attitude and I am not mad, I simply just want to remove the double charge from my unit". I even asked if I could put the $100 deposit down to get a cart.. she got an attitude with me and said "does it look like their are any carts". It was unfortunate she treated me this way as it was only my second day dealing with this facility and at this point, she made me not want to event lease a unit. I could go into detail of our conversation, but it was not productive and resulted in her saying she could not help me and that she would let Kristina handle it. In all, she expressed how upset she was that she was about to conduct an auction without any carts and she kept saying in frustration, "they were suppose to order some". I was thinking to myself, "Ma'am, I, too am upset that you do not have any carts.. I am the one moving". It was a pain to move into my unit initially, however, I ended up buying my own cart. My experience with the location has not been the best, and to top it off, the elevator handles are broken/ falling off and it is VERY dirty in the elevator. The entry way and halls are dirty with left over things from people moving and dirt/ scuff marks everywhere. I am not surprised because... again, there aren't any carts. I witness peopled moving their things into the elevator item by item, or holding the elevator to fill it with their items. I wouldn't be surprised if the elevator stopped working next because it is being disrupted to close appropriately due to the long holds of people loading each item into the elevator. Unlike other locations, the bathrooms are locked once office business hours are done. And to top it all off, because the location is across from a very popular event center, the parking lot is filled in the evening. I have had to fight for parking to unload my items from moving because the event center is having a Caribbean party, shooting a film, hosting a birthday party, etc. And the caveat, it's downtown and I have been approached several times by homeless people, druggies, and the other day, a gentleman threatened me because I would not allow him to help me unload my boxes. He wanted to get paid to assist me. It's been... just an overall terrible experience. The exterior of the CubeSmart looks new and the convenience of the location seems nice - this is why I picked this location originally. But now, I wish I wouldn't have.

The building is gated and there is a code to get inside so I have no idea how people could even be inside but they were! Gate was not secured when I arrived so anybody was able to enter and exit as they please. This location was very dirty and trashy there were no carts available to load my things on so I had to carry my belongings by hand. I was charged for a lock that was supposed to be available upon arrival but it wasn't so I had to leave and get my own. Other then that access was very easy and the person I spoke to at the front desk was very nice. The whole $1 for the first month was not true I ended up paying over a hundred dollars but reserving a space was very easy and convenient as well

Sat here from 3pm to 6pm yesterday. Not a person to help in sight. Place unsecured.Gate open, doors open….Plenty of homeless people hanging out on the property. Nobody works here??? Here I am at your facility, day 3, and can’t get in… this is the worst place ever. Don’t rent here. Don’t EVER rent here!!!!

Great location in the city, close to the interstate. Overall a good facility, great staff, always pleasant and helpful. Cleanliness could be better overall, lots of homeless people use the restroom to wash up and also to sleep. So the restrooms are rarely open. My biggest compliant is the price jumps, within the past year the price was raise twice and over $50 each time. Which was the ultimate cause of changing storage facilities. My storage was used to house my nonprofit donations, so paying almost $200 monthly for a small unit was a bit expensive.

Wish I could give 0 stars. The negligence of the staff and property upkeep is nonexistent . Do not rent here. My unit was broken into after only one month here from the top/roof chicken wire. There are people living on site and the access hours are not adhered to. The hallways reck of urine and deification. I lost everything!!!! They even stole my childhood memories and diploma!! The manager is dry unconcerned that there are several more units that were broken into . Then they had the audacity to terminate my lease after my unit was reported broken into. The Vice President, Jim Matthis, is Trash. The company as a whole. DO NOT STORE your things here. Better off giving them away to goodwill. At least it will be of good use and on your terms. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Dont think about the trauma associated with losing everything you own when it your paying for them to be secure.

The worst experience ever. First, the Property Manager was very polite and really tried to be helpful… BUT something must be done about the theft here… Units are being broken into. Locks are being cut and items being stolen out of units… Nothing is being done about it! No police reports nor any Regional or Corporate level communication about what’s going on. Totally unacceptable and Somone needs to held accountable! New tenants, please be ware! It’s possible your unit will be broken into. My unit was and 2 TV’s clothing and some valuable personal items were stolen from me. Well over $2000 in value/items… Cube Smart must do better to protect the customer’s property.

I am incredibly disappointed with the level of disrespect I have experienced from this business. Upon calling to inquire about my past due balance, the individual who answered the phone provided me with the information I needed regarding the payment deadline. However, after thanking him for the assistance and expressing my intention to settle the balance next week, he abruptly hung up the phone without a word of acknowledgment. This rude behavior is unacceptable, especially considering it is not the first time I have encountered such poor service from the same individual. It is concerning when a customer has more knowledge and understanding of proper customer service etiquette than the staff representing the business. As a result of this consistent lack of professionalism, I can only rate this experience as one star.

Went on the weekend to put some stuff in storage. The elevator was out of order and I could not find a trolly to move my heavy boxes down long hall ways and up to the second floor. Very disappointing. It took me almost 45 minutes to get 4 boxes to my storage unit. Meanwhile I had my 85 year old parents waiting in the car!!! Seems quite expensive for what you get!

The closing hours state 6pm, I arrived at 5:45 and they were closed.. there was another group that had been there before unloading an entire truck of stuff with no dolly because there wasn’t anyone present to assist. Completely unfair, change the hours if need be since the hours of operation don’t match the closing times. I want to return my temporary lock which is difficult since the hours conflict with work.. I assumed 6 was closing so I showed up as quick as I could.. I’m also pregnant so moving things by hand was tough.

Needed a larger unit. Was already renting out 2 smaller units. Called and was told to pay for my 2 units and that I would get a credit when I moved out the 1 old smaller unit. I moved into the larger more expensive unit and even though I just paid for the smaller unit was then told I was misinformed and that I just lose the rent for the smaller unit. Even though I was only there for only 1 week and this place will easily re rent my unit now that I’ve moved out. I’ve never heard of collecting rent twice on the same unit. They rave about being #1 in customer service but their policy is ridiculous. This is all coming from the district manager. She told me I was supposed to do a transfer and that she would now credit the amount I paid but then I would lose my discount on the new unit. So now the new unit will cost me 35% more than I thought. This place is unbelievable and honestly unethical. I’m not sure how they would win #1 in customer service with these crazy policies. Its probably a lie. ??????? I will be taking my business elsewhere

DO NOTE RENT STORAGE HERE !! The main lady that works in the office is always smoking cigarettes' and never in the office doing her job. Some days you come when they should be open and they will be closed for no good reason and no explanation. I love this Cubesmart, not only is it a great location from Downtown /Midtown. The access hours are better than any of the other storage facilities. How is that the employee calls me and I tell her I’m coming, she said her last appointment is at 4 even though they close at 5. I arrived at 3:14 and there is a sign on the door that says “at lunch.” I can see her eating at the desk and she points to the sign and mouths at lunch lol Who has lunch at 3:14 pm. The door is locked so I can’t go in to at least tell her I just want to see the storage. Professionalism seems to be hard to find these days. I’ll take my money elsewhere.

I've been renting a storage unit at this facility since they opened earlier this year. My experience has been absolutely amazing! Upon my initial visit, I met Christie, the store manager. She has always gone ABOVE and BEYOND the call of duty in helping me to navigate any concerns or logistics when it came to my unit. A few months ago I met her co-worker, KK. She too has been a true pleasure to work with. I've used several storage companies throughout my lifetime and travels and I can honestly say that working with this location and the staff here has been the most pleasurable experience by far! In addition, this location is centrally located and very easy to access. If you are considering storing with CubeSmart on Whitehall St., think no more, it's a no brainer!!!

I have been looking for storage options and had called in weeks ago to inquire for further details. I received no response. I decided to visit the facility instead earlier this week. It was a nightmare. The people present were rude and hard to deal with. I don't know if it was a bad day but they came across unprofessional and the attitude was uncalled for. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Christie S. is phenomenal! I was referred to CubeSmart by a friend and had to make a quick move. Christie went above and beyond to assist me and make sure my experience was great. She is truly an angel and asset to your company. I will forever be grateful for the compassion and patience she showed me during my move in process. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome from the Christie. Christie worked with us to ensure we understood the process as well as provided outstanding customer service. The facility is only 3 months old so everything is new and clean. We were very please with the services and the facility.

absolute terrible experience. i cannot wait to be able to move my items from this storage. manager was not accommodating by any means and has not yet grasped the concept of good customer service... and kept saying "period" over the phone as if she thinks she's one of the citygirl rappers. 1 star

ABSOLUTELY STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! This was my first time ever in life putting anything in storage and Christie made this a very enjoyable experience. The facility has only been open for a few months, is well lit and has plenty of room to move larger items into the building, onto the elevator and to your final unit. There are also (2) flatbed dollies at each entrance for use. Thank you, Christie for easing my mind:)))

Great experience at CubeSmart. I've suffered through other storage facilities/companies (ugh!) but CubeSmart was positively different. Christie was professional, pleasant and very caring of our needs. The tour of the facility was unrushed and informative. Most importantly, the facility was clean and safety/security seemed a major focus. Just wish the Atlanta Whitehall location had the moving truck mentioned in the marketing literature. Will surely recommend to family and friends.
