? 0/10 DO NOT USE CUBESMART! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!? I had an absolutely terrible move-in experience at CubeSmart (3134 Chestnut Dr, Atlanta, GA 30340) and would never recommend this location—or the company as a whole—to anyone. Deceptive and Misleading Move-In Process I reserved and paid for a 10x10 drive-up unit on March 13th, expecting a smooth move-in process as outlined in their confirmation email. However, upon arriving at the location: My assigned unit was not secured with a seal tag as stated. The unit door was severely damaged, barely hanging on its hinges. There was a dirty, decades-old sofa sitting inside the unit—completely unacceptable! Confused and frustrated, I tried to locate another unit with my assigned number but found none. As 10:00 PM approached (end of access hours), I had no choice but to leave, completely livid about the situation. Customer Service? More Like Customer Disservice I immediately contacted CubeSmart’s customer service, explained the issue, and was offered an upgrade to a 10x20 unit at the same price due to this major inconvenience—which, frankly, did not make up for the ordeal. I was instructed to return the next day to speak with the on-site manager. Due to CubeSmart's incompetence, I had to extend my U-Haul rental, add extra mileage, and spend hundreds of dollars more—all because of their failure to provide the unit I originally paid for. The Nightmare Continues the Next Day When I returned during business hours: The new 10x20 unit was NOT a drive-up unit (which I specifically paid for!). Again, no secured seal tag, no welcome kit, and no lock. The onsite manager wasted over an hour searching for a proper unit, eventually finding another 10x10 drive-up unit (the size I originally paid for). I was downgraded back to a 10x10 unit without any compensation or discount, despite being promised an upgraded unit at the same price. Total Lack of Accountability & Support After moving my belongings into the unit, I contacted customer service again to explain everything. I was told: The site manager would call me within 48 hours—I waited 72 hours with no response. I had to call back repeatedly, eventually getting the district manager’s number. I called the district manager over 10 times, leaving at least 4 voicemails—NO RESPONSE. I called customer service again and was told there was no case even opened for me! When I asked to speak with a customer service manager, I was refused and simply given the same unresponsive district manager's number again before being hung up on. Final Verdict: Avoid CubeSmart at All Costs CubeSmart had no problem taking my money instantly, but when it came to actually providing the service I paid for, they failed at every level—local management, district management, and corporate customer service. This experience was a complete disaster from start to finish, costing me time, money, and unnecessary stress. I will be escalating this issue to CubeSmart corporate and beyond. ?? DO NOT USE CUBESMART! ?? Terrible company, incompetent staff, and zero customer care.

Very bad service on the app. They gave me a price. When I went to move, the one I ordered on the app was occupied and they gave me another one that was not the one I ordered online. They raised the price. I asked why the price changed, and they only told me that it was the company's fault that they had not set the prices correctly.

I rate CubeSmart Self Storage with a big minus 3 ?? This is the worst store service I have ever since 1996! The administration before CubeSmart Self Storage was better. Now, this administration is a painful service! We need free access to get into the area that we are paying for, to do our stuff! Many days we have to get back frome the place because they don't give access to their costumers. I don't refer CubeSmart Self Storage to anybody else to hire their services! And they said they gonna increase their prices! That's insane!

Minimal security. I have noticed multiple units being broken into lately. Even though I’ve been here for two years and set up with auto pay I had my lock cut off and a new lock put on with no warning or reasoning. If you’re gonna rent here, don’t put anything valuable in your unit.

Horribly ran facility! The DM doesn’t do callbacks… actually no one calls you back or follows through… I have been waiting for my $100 cleaning deposit what is going on. !!!!! We are going on over a month. No one is ever there no one answers the phone. Construction or not… don’t use that as an excuse you have a business to run, your storage facility is being run horribly.

Access code was denied. Not much use if I can't access it. Went back and code still not working. went into the office and she looked it up and gave me the same code. Did not work, back to office. She gave me another code, I asked about the lock that was supposed to be in the unit. She said no but she could get me 1 . No lock I paid extra for. Go check on unit after finally getting code that worked. Unit was supposed to be a 10x20. NO, it is a 9x12. Go back to office. She says that online does not have correct layout. She says that since they are redoing the office that the computer has not been hooked up to the internet in 2 weeks. She said they do not have a unit for me. She calls and they were supposed to cancel and issue a refund. Well today I get a notice that they are going to charge me for rent. The lady that helped me was not the manager for this property. She was super helpful no problem with her. They need a negative 5 . Place is a joke.

Location was under construction according to sign - all gates were wide open so no security/ the access code didn't have to be put in. My unit was not prepared there was no lock on it waiting as I was advised, there were huge holes / cracks in the walls, wide open and clearly a homeless person had been living in it

More like "DE-storage". Junk all in the hallway to my unit, I couldn't even access it at one point. The management said they were evicting that person in a few days, then the hallway was clean and I thought they were gone, but they came back and trashed it again. Management then said they had extended their grace period or something. Also my unit got broken into, they busted the latch to my door and I was not able to get the lock to come off so the only way I could get in to my unit was to un screw the side piece on the door frame and then screw it back in when i left. It was hell there. Multiple drug addicts squatting in there. Management rarely on site rarely answers phone calls and not doing much about the issues. I was as respectful and patient as I could be with the squatters and management alike, even given my un-wanted circumstances, but what did I get in return? Neglegance and theft. Watch your back if you do decide to rent there but I'd advise against it. I cleaned out my unit and cancelled my lease there, they gave me a confirmation that it was properly confirmed for cancellation etc and then at the end of the month I got some automated email still trying to charge me. They're lucky that the phone I had photos of the mess in hallway unit got cracked and I had to get a new phone, otherwise I'd post those photos.

The new management is awful! The property looks like a dumping ground, and there are people living in the units! Every other day there is someone new in the office… that is if they even choose to stay on the property on that given day. People park in your designated space that you pay for. The district manager does NOT return phone calls because (the reason given) he/she is overwhelmed!…..

I had my belongings at the storage unit for almost 10 years and when I went back, I was very surprised because there was no rat vermin and everything was in nice and beautiful condition. It means that Storage is doing a good job of taking care of the property and just making sure everything is OK. I would recommend this company again and again just because I’ve had horrible experiences at other places and this was by far one of my best experience with a storage unit. Thank you guys!!! I was so very satisfied with Chestnut Storage. They are a secure 24 hour facility, and the staff are all super friendly and professional. The bays are easy access, and they have the lowest prices around the area. They also will hook you, or someone else up with a finders fee for referring them to the company. Also, if you are ever far away and worried about your things just give a call and they will head over to your unit to ensure it is in good standing.

Usually I love mom and pop operations. However, between the hard to find office and the knowledge deficient of operations stand-in front desk attendant this was a terrible experience. If you have u-haul needs do NOT seek them here. Customers are able to check out the singular vehicle overnight even when you already have a preset reservation made days prior. And in the process of attempting to come to a resolution with front desk staff, staff willingly took another customer ahead of us stating, “No man, I am not busy I can help you right now.” If zero stars were an option, this place would have earned them.

There's not enough good things I can say about Ed at Chestnut. He could tell that my fiance and I had been through the most & after leaving another U-Haul location because of the bad service I received, I'm so glad I did. It's as if Ed was the fresh breath of air I needed in a sea of manure ?? Seriously, this man went above and beyond his job to give us a good experience.... and we ended up coming back again 2 days later when we needed to rent a U-Haul again due to unfortunate circumstances and we also got a storage unit. I highly recommend Chestnut storage for any of these services.

I have been a tenant at this facility since September of 2018 having 2 units. When I first moved in, the manager was a very nice lady named Cecilia. I had previously given them 5 Star Review. In April 2019, I rented a 3rd Unit to use as overflow and process downsizing to one unit with Fred. On 04/29/2019, I logged into the residents portal and submitted a service ticket. All 3 of my units are on the end of one row. The big flood security light on my end was out causing it to be uncomfortably dark. I gave them approx. 1 week to fix it, never received any resolution. I then emailed them with screen shot of my submission. The new manager Angela stated that she was unaware and never seen my request and then proceeded to say the next day in her response that Georgia Power had been on property and fixed the light. I drove across town only to be in the dark still. I took pictures and submitted to management. Over half of the lights were out on the property including both on my row. I then wrote back to her and explained that due to medical reasons I can not work in the hot summer daytime due to a disability and limitations. I also asked that I be kept updated on any delays and in the loop should something understandable was causing a issues, and a approx eta. This courtesy was never given. I asked that they please get the issue resolved and mentioned my wishes to condense down to one unit. At this point time went on through May and June. The issue was never resolved, I sent pictures demanding this be fixed, but during this time I had to pay $250 in May ($150 for two extra units), plus the same in June. In June before paying rent, I requested that they provide credit as their lack of maintenance and failing to providing the basic amenities listed on their website, as well as disregarding the limitations and my need for them to fix it so that I could do the work I needed to do later in the day and discriminating me for my disability and getting me to pay for units I am trying to move out of. On June 18, I was charged $45 in late fees ($15 per unit), irritated because of lack of response from Angela, I asked if they would at least credit the late fees I would pay the rent and deal with it later....I also requested the companies policies on repairs, security, and safety. She wrote back saying her GM did not approve the credit. I spent several days trying to get the information and was never provided. On June 29 the 15th day I had not received any communications with the GM contact info, they then proceeded to tack on $90 in late fees ($30 per unit). At this point the service request had been opened for 60 Days. Angela wouldn't let me contact the GM only provided leases not their company policy only mainly hounding me for payment. After July 8, I contacted and confirmed that they had violated the Dekalb County Codes and filed a complaint. Only July 9 I am locked out of the facility but drive by confirming still APPROX 10 of the 20 lights still remained out 2 months later. I took footage and further documented. Apparently after code enforcement contacted them between JULY 10-12 they lights were fixed but it was after fees growing beyond what I could pay. At this point I have been disrespected, discriminated, and mistreated by the facility. I am in the process of seeking legal assistance. This is my personal experience which went way off course for no viable reason and their failed communication or concern for my safety, health, or business.

I was spoken to very rudely by Angela.. I explained to her that I didn't know that if you are ten days late they charge 15 dollars then five days later they charge another 30.. At first my. Payment was 24 now it's 69 by may it will be 109 just for my clothing. The lady read over the entire contract but failed to read that part about the late fees She said I'd be charged a late fee but not forty five dollars. Initially I told them I was getting over having pneumonia so I missed three weeks... Angela said it was a business and I should of read my contract. They don't give you the contract until after you sign The lady only shows you where to sign and initial. I heard many bad things about chestnut storage I wouldn't have rented from them but on line it says absolute storage

This is a disgusting storage facility who never picks up the phone to take payment and today I’ve had it with the disgusting worker named Marisha (Trash Worker)who started to get loud without knowing my account (then the trash says this is a business call back when you know how to speak Meanwhile the trash worker was who started to talk over me without listening & continued yelling) Trash Person I hope to never meet!!! Then the trash wouldn’t charge me then refused to take my payment while still running her mouth on my account and she doesn’t know anything about my account these new people here are straight disgusting people DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Got kicked out because my abusive ex abuser found me and beat me up. It was hard to believe that the woman who owns the place and her female manager could be so backwards on the decision to kick me out. I rented my unit for five years without any issues. They called the police an hour before the deadline and tried to have me arrested for trespassing. The new owners are pigs And very very dirty
