The facility looks to be fairly clean. It was hard for me to get up the ramp where the gated truck and car entrance is because there are yes stairs and I just had a recent knee injury. Unloading was a challenge. Ask there was a house roach in front of 5040 in the middle on the floor alive on it’s back and looked like dog poop in from of 5036 I let the manager know, she said she was coming up shortly. The onboarding process was fairly easy. Hopefully my stuff don’t get bugs, I can’t afford that headache.

It’s a mixed bag at this storage facility. My categorized reviews: Customer Svc: 4 Pricing: 3 Advertising accuracy: 2-3 Location: 5 Safety: 3-4 Cleanliness: 3 (restroom); 4 (storage areas) The location is unbeatable. The staff is really friendly. They have plenty of supplies. They allow you to use their dumpster whereas many storage facilities do not. These are some of the pluses. Sadly, the minuses outweigh them for me, and I’m considering taking my business elsewhere. Take heed… Sometimes no staff is there when the facility is scheduled to be staffed. Also, I did not appreciate the deceptive advertising. Before I rented here, their website said that someone lives on the premises. I get there to sign up only to find out that this did not apply to *this* particular facility. OK, so why would they state that online? There are many aspects of their website that allows them to customize and personalize details and offerings at each respective facility. So I know that they can remove this info as it regards the Dunwoody facility. False advertising at its finest. The size of the units also seem to be slightly smaller than advertised. Also, there is a wire in each storage unit with a little bud attached to it. (Look up high just behind the unit door.) Honestly, it looks like a camera to me. I covered mine with tape right after I moved in. I’m not sure what it is, and I really need to go back through my contract and read it carefully. If indeed they are surveilling every unit, this is disgusting and a gross violation of customers’ privacy. If you’re going to rent here, be sure to ask what that wire is with the camera-looking thingamajig at the top of the unit. I can’t confirm that it is a camera, but it sure is suspicious. Interior directional signage is nonexistent. For most storage facilities, this is basic. Adequate signage, like street signs, that direct you to where the units are located and which numbers are where. Not at this CubeSmart! The restroom is not cleaned regularly. I went to use it one day, and there was a long strand of hair hanging off the toilet. The next week, the same strand of hair was still there. One day, I dropped something on the bathroom floor and had to wipe up the floor. The paper towel was black when I got done. Midnight BLACK! The floor clearly does not get mopped very often. In this day and age we’re living in, cleaning and sanitizing are not the corners to be trying to cut! Flu. RSV. COVID. All kinds of other bugs and viruses. With as much money as these facilities make, this shouldn’t be too much to ask. (And the poor sink looks like it will break off the wall any day now and crush someone’s foot!) The biggest gripe I have is that the facility often does not feel safe nor secure. The gates are broken on a regular basis …just standing open for anyone to get in. Mgmt obviously in no hurry to repair such issues. The elevators are broken on a regular basis. The other big deal-breaker for me is the lack of outdoor lighting at night! The pics (darkness/broken gate standing open) were taken on the evening of Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Some show me entering the facility…other pics are when I exited. I was almost afraid to enter, and if I hadn’t needed to drop some things off so badly, I wouldn’t have. At all! If the lights do ever come on under the garage, it’s LONG after dark has set in. I’ve experienced this numerous times in the recent months. I’ve also seen other customers on the ramp working in the dark. It’s the perfect recipe for an assailant to lurk in the corner of the garage and attack you when you come out of the sliding doors. Broken gate. No lights. Yep, they make it easy for a would-be criminal. My rent was recently increased, but with all these issues, I don’t see the justification for me paying more. Being able to work in a well-lit and secure area after dark should not be too much to ask. The orange guys always have lights. I think I’ll go rent from them. Do better, CubeSmart. Do you not understand that customers have a great many choices in where to store our goods?

Great staff and value for extra storage. I quickly got my unit at a great price and had my stuff unloaded within an hour. The facility seems secure and clean with easy access to all the units.

I have had my things at this storage unit for about 2 years. The team in Dunwoody is absolutely amazing. Janet and Ash have gone above and beyond. The service they provide is beyond excellent.

I have been pleased since day one. Now three moths later, my needs grew and Janet was most helpful in finding the perfect second unit for me while I work at getting my house ready to sell, just down the street. I appreciate the hospitality each time come there. I also value the safe and secure features of the property has (i.e., secured gates as well as secured sliding doors and cameras throughout) making me feel safe as I load, unload and place items in the storage units. That is very important to me. Thank you Janet and CubeSmart for making this very difficult moving process so much easier!!

I am a repeat customer at this location and have always been very pleased. The staff is fantastic - professional, personable, and very helpful. I first spoke to Janet about availability, and she was very helpful. A day later I spoke to Ash, who also was helpful. 5 days later I go into pay for my storage unit, and Ash remembered all of the details about our phone conversation. Wow! Love the location, and I do miss the free truck for 2 hours on move-in day (long political story). Storage unit is perfect for my currents needs. The only thing keeping this location from getting 5 stars is the rat droppings by one of the elevators (I noticed a rat poison pouch was in my unit). I understand rats will get in, but a daily cleaning of the floors would make this location sparkle. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend this location. The manager Janet was wonderful to work with. I had to change my move in date because of weather and she was so nice and cheerful to help me. Move in was a breeze. The whole storage building was so clean that I felt good about leaving my things here. Thanks for providing such a wonderful storage facility.

The people were nice, however, CubeSmart allows one free month and 10% booking on line discount. I did this for a 10x10 unit. When I was shown the unit, it had a severely slanted roof. The manager Eric, said the reserved unit with the agreed upon rate only counted for the slanted roof unit. This was not going to work, so I had to sign for and get another unit as the movers were on the way. Bait and switch. Now they will have a new District Manager on the 17th, and I'm supposed to take it up with that person. The truck they promised was free, although $10 admin fee. They didn't tell me ahead of time that the $100 deposit had to be in cash. Glad my friend had it on her. He also didn't give me the code to get in and the office was locked when we returned with the truck. This was just yesterday. so it's fresh in my mind.

I have used this facility for over 5 years and it has significantly gone down hill the past year under the new location manager and staff. I use the unit for business and I travel quite a bit. The only reason I chose this location was because not only was it convenient, I was told they would make sure my packages would be put into my unit. This was being done up until the last year, and I would even get an e-mail stating that I had something delivered to my unit. OUTSTANDING service at the time! NOW, they just sit it in the lobby hallway where you may or may not be able to get your package(s) as you never know when someone will be in the office. It took me three tries to get a very important delivery this week. I could see it in the window, but couldn't get it as no one was in the office. I needed this package for a very important meeting but I couldn't get it. LOST sales on my part. Upon finally picking up my package I was told that they are not supposed to put packages in our units and that I could call ahead of time to make sure someone would be there for me to pick up my package. I stated I had tried to call but I have never in the over 5 years of renting a unit had someone pick up the phone. I have left a message in the past and NO ONE has returned my call. NOT exactly convenient for the customer. NO APOLOGY for the inconvenience and the I DONT CARE attitude is very disturbing to say the least. I also have a light in my unit that has NEVER worked. I have asked about it many times but yet again, no one seems to care. To add insult to injury this week I received a RENT INCREASE in the mail this week. NOT VERY HAPPY with CubeSmart!!!!

We moved into 4 units from another storage unit because it was closer to our office. We have not been pleased. Customer service is lacking, the office is rarely available when you go and have a concern, one of the lights does not work in our unit and I have requested repairs on 3 separate occasions, and while climate controlled, it is not kept cool enough to work in when necessary in the summer and is so cold in the winter that your hands freeze if you have to be there for any amount of time. I would not recommend them and if it wasn't such a pain to move again, I would have already moved out. Too bad our experience has not been as positive as the previous two reviews.

I highly recommend for this location Cube Smart. Every good environment and cool in the summer, warm in the winter-just like someone live inside! All your stuff or merchandise are in safe place and temperature. The two managers in there are very nice, friendly and also very carefully on details. They always remind you when you need help. The best thing I like is their Logistics. When a lot of stuff come in my unit, they will accept for you when you are not in there and help you to put in your unit. Safe, clean, cool, and nice service ever!

I highly recommend this facility. I used it for a short period in between moves, and this was one of the few bright spots during a stressful moving experience. The two clerks were very friendly, and went out of their way to make the process easy and ensure me the best rate.
