Definitely a one star (or lower) type of service. The employees are nice, but the overall leadership and verbiage on the website is absolutely misleading. At first, I thought I was having a great experience compared to the rest of the companies I called. My initial reservation was very smooth, she answered most of my questions, and said that the other questions I had could/should be answered at the location I was reserved at. I set my reservation up on a Sunday (the location was closed), and she said Monday morning I should be able to get the answers to my questions. So, I stop up at the location Monday afternoon, and the store was closed with a sign saying that there was an emergency closing, and they were closed for the day. As I’m understanding of last minute emergencies, I still needed my questions answered, as I was on a time crunch to get things moved into storage. So, I took advantage of the online option to setup my lease agreement and gain access to my storage unit, as I needed to start moving things immediately. So I began moving my things into storage. No big deal. Now, today is Tuesday. The facility is finally open. I go into the facility, awaiting for my questions to be answered that the customer representative couldn’t answer. I asked, are there any rental trucks available today, or possibly some time this week? Both of the employees looked at me with confusion. I said, on the website it says rental trucks are subject to availability? Are there any trucks available at all this week? They said, no, we don’t do that. Me being confused, I said, it literally says it on the website? What do you mean you all don’t do that? They said, not all locations have trucks available. I said, ok cool, can you all check any nearby locations that have them available so I can use them? They said, we don’t believe any of our locations have them anywhere within a 20 mile radius. I then realized that this experience has turned into a nightmare, a misleading nightmare. Mind you, I’ve already moved a lot of my things into the storage unit. So now I’m waiting for the district manager to call me, and I’ve reported to corporate that the information online is VERY misleading, and the lack of communication is very disappointing and distasteful on both customer service and at the locations. The facility itself was pretty well kept but the mechanism to close my roll down door was FULL of spider webs which was kind of icky and then the lock that they put in the welcome bag was in one of those thick blister packs that can't be open without heavy duty scissors or a knife (which as a girl, I don't usually have with me). I didn't realize this until I had already unloaded, so I had to leave my stuff unsecured while I went to QT to ask for some assistance getting the pkg opened.Didnt feel particularly safe, my unit was in the back,it was getting dark. I'm female, unaccompanied so that's on me but a few signs about being under video surveillance or similar would have helped me feel less isolated.But I survived lol just wasn't loving the vibe.

This is the worst storage unit management that I have ever used. I have an outdoor unit, the landscapers blow all their grass and dirt into the unit and we had no warning about that. I’ve bought brand new furniture that has been ruined in less than a week. My other unit that is indoors looks like someone runs into it everyday with the carts there. Overall safety for my items is terrible. I’ve requested multiple times to speak with managers and they take days to reach back out to me and are only available during a small window of time. Every time you call to make payments, no one is there to answer the phone. Price also raises every month it seems. You will come in at one price and will be paying $50-100 more in less than 3 months. I will never use cube smart again. Terrible experience!!!!

Good price to begin with then went up ridiculously. Also has a RODENT problem. They will not inform anyone who rents there but will set out traps and bait out. I rented here for almost two years. No I did not go to my storage much so I did not notice anything until I was gone and going through my things. Horrific and disgusting! I called to see if there were aware of there rodent issue. They advise that they take the necessary steps to keep them out as stated above. When I asked why was I not notified that this is a issue, I was then told “I should expect that with the location being by the woods”. Over all HORRIBLE I put so much money into this company and filed a claim as well but they made sure to say they do not know cover rodent issues. Clothes, bags, shoes, chairs etc was damaged. And in the end I’m left with nothing and still have to replace ALL MY THINGS!

This place is horrible, from the front gate being broken for months and all of our items not being secured. To the fact that the units are not completely sealed and rodents were able to enter my unit and eat many of my items. They offer you a protection plan that the staff knows nothing about, but cubesmart requires staff to offer it to their customers. This protection plan is actually another way for them to get your money and not cover anything. They had me start a claim, submitted my proof, just to tell me rodents are not covered under the plan. So now my larger items are destroyed and this company whom I've given my business to for months has nothing they can offer me. I will never return to them and I encourage everyone thinking of this location to reconsider. This company as a whole does not value it's paying customers.

The storage units are extremely nice but I have to give it 0 stars due to customer service. I’ve had to call customer service 3 times (1. Lock not working, 2. Doors in the building were literally not opening after putting code and being granted access and 3. Elevators not working). Every single time the manager never answered the phone, never received a call back and even went to knock on the door of the office -because it was closed- and never got anyone.

The man that worked inside with us to get the unit was professional and nice. Another storage place with a lower rate lost our business before even signing an agreement due to poor professionalism. However, upon move in to our unit, the unit was not swept at all. There were bugs and tons of dirt. We had to sweep out the unit really well prior to moving stuff in. Also, all of the lights were out on all of the surrounding buildings to our unit, making it not only hard to see at night while moving in or out, but it made it dangerous as well. We were in unit 193 and all of the lights were out on the outside of the buildings surrounding.

Rented an outside unit. Hired movers to put items in the unit a week later went back to add some little items and it was raining that day. opened up the storage and there were water coming in from all corners on the bottom of the unit. Called the emergency number they stated they could not help. Went to the office the next day they stated for me to file a claim with my insurance. Called the district still said they could not help me. You can't file an insurance claim when the water is coming from the floor and not some busted pipe, roof leak etc. I had to pay movers to move my items to another unit on the inside which Cube Smart wanted me to pay for the other unit as well when the water filled unit I was only in it for a week. Cube smart knew water was coming in the unit and still rented it out.

Maria was always such a big help. The office staff were friendly and willing to answer any question that I had. My only complaint and being a small on at that is the unit I did have didn't have the best weather stripping on the door so some dirt dust and leaves made it into the unit, That being said no damage happened to my belongings. I would recommend renting from the Lawrenceville location to friends and family that may need storage needs. Thank you guys again for the very pleasant experience.

If I could give them a negative rating I would. This place has a huge rodent problem and do nothing about it! I’ve lost majority of my items when I removed my belongings due to the damaged cause by the rats this place has. Furniture was chewed up. Boxes just destroyed and it wasn’t just me my storage neighbor had the same problem. Not good for business at all!!!!

This storage has RATS !! When we confronted the office staff about the issue they said they are aware and in fact gave us mouse traps ! My storage has rats poop, urine, and rat hair ALL OVER MY STUFF. Highly over priced for the condition the storage are in. Do not recommend it here at all.

I rented this storage unit and informed the rep that there was going to be a long distance move and that the facility needed to be accessible for a semi truck. She assured me that their facility was accessible for a large vechicle such as an 18wheeler. It is now 8:00 pm on a Sunday night and the semi truck cannot access the facility. I call customer service they inform me that they have emergency protocols and that someone would be calling me and coming to the unit. No one called or showed up. I call again..I was informed basically that they have not had problems prior..sorry but it's your problem. I call a 3rd time for a refund ..they unit has not been accessed other than to place a lock on door, and was told it was the managers decision. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company and file a BBB complaint, as well as review on Yelp and FB!!! I now have a $1,000 redelivery fee and have to find another storage unit on Xmas Eve no less!! I will be calling corporate as well to make someone accountabile, I ASSURE you!!!

Prices for storage units are reasonable, facilities are reasonable, however there are no lights inside the outdoor units, and they charge unreasonable and mandatory stored property insurance fees. I'm not sure if it's even legal but I wouldn't recommend doing business with this location.

(Update included at bottom of review) This Cube Smart location is absolutely terrible. The management (up to and including the District Manager) doesn't even provide the level of security their customers pay for - with gate and door issues, for instance. Most importantly, due to a huge door malfunction on their end, they didn't provide me the ability to access the items I store onsite, during the hours available to customers. Also, the management doesn't notify their customers when an act of nature significantly impacts the security and safety of the items customers store onsite, when security breaches occur onsite, or when break-ins occur. After recent discussions with the local and District Managers, I strongly recommend going to another storage facility location - do not use Cube Smart. (9/26/2017 Update: After response from the owner - regarding the above-noted review - I again spoke with the corporate office about my concerns noted above. Regarding the specific issue of not providing me the ability to access my items onsite during the hours available to customers; the corporate office agreed they fell short on that and rectified that matter. However, we are still in disagreement on all of the other matters noted in my review. As such, I still cannot recommend using this storage company. "Caveat emptor"..."Buyer beware".).

I got two storages on the first of August the smaller storage was higher than the larger storage plus I didn't even stay in the units a whole month & couldn't get any of my money back which made no sense & couldn't get an explanation.

Great service, I went on a day when it was raining. The lady was trying to do everything to load my car as to tell me to get in the car so I can stay dry and she was getting soaking wet. I was there purchasing moving boxes.

Beyond appreciative, they went above and beyond with customer service. They have a truck you can rent out for free with you rent space from them. Well needless to say we needed it on a Sunday when they normally don't loan truck out this was our last resort and they let us use truck.

I feel fortunate to have chosen CUBE SMART in Lawrenceville Ga to provide a secure and clean storage space my personal and business belongings. I have been using CUBE SMART for almost 10 years now. After almost 3 years of being a "loyal customer" I have had the most unpleasant experience today while dealing with Maria. This place does not even deserve 1 star but I don't have the option of rating it any lower. My lot is and has always been meticulously maintained (all of my equipment is placed on wooden pallets, everything is always covered with a tarp, I always clean the trash other people leave near or on my lot, etc). Today I received a phone call from Maria informing me that after a visit from the VP of CubeSmart my lot was no longer up to standards and that I should place all of my equipment on my trailer or "take my stuff and get out of there"! This was the most disrespectful way I have ever been approached by a business especially when I have been a paying customer for so long. My advice is that Maria, should be re-trained on customer service and etiquette. If you want to give your money to a place that constantly increases their prices and is ridiculously rude to customers, by all means come to CubeSmart on Buford HWY. I personally will not tolerate doing business with such rude and incompetent people.

Maria Hunter, the manager at the Lawrenceville facility was absolutely wonderful! She went out of her way to make sure my first experience with them was the best possible. I would highly recommend Maria and CubeSmart to all my friends.
